I have been eating really badly this past week, so last night I found myself majorly craving for something healthy! What better than my favorite Calif Chicken cafe salad? I love ordering the Calif chicken salad without carrots and adding sprouts. The ingredients of the salad are all so fresh and crisp that my body just came back to life when I gobbled down this salad. I do wish that since I remove the carrots and add the sprouts that it would not be extra since I always remove something to replace. I also ordered the Cafe Ceasar salad to eat today and I can't wait to try it!!! read more

Northridge, CA I've tried their salads before, but this was my first time at this location. Ordering is done through the app and it's to-go only. I placed an order for two salads -- the Chinese Chicken Salad and the California Chicken Salad. The wait time was about 15 minutes, which gave me a chance to pop into Vons nearby to pick up a few things. When I came back, my order was ready and neatly packed in a tightly sealed bag. While waiting, customers stay outside, and an employee comes out to check on you. It wasn't busy when I went, so the process was quick and easy. Both salads were fresh, hearty, and generously portioned -- definitely filling. I usually finish mine in three sittings! While my SO finishes his in one. Healthy eating it is!!! read more

The stars were aligned for me today...let me tell you! :-) I placed an order through my app like I always do and requested pick up for the earliest time which is 10:45 AM (they open at 10:30 AM). I had to fast for a blood test so I was very hungry and was picking up on my way home. Only this time I was just picking up a salad and two bottles of dressing (I always keep their ranch in my fridge). The salad was for my mom along with one of the bottles. When Paulina handed me my bag, I noticed an extra item. They put in a half of a ranch wrap :-) WOW! This could not have come at a more perfect and better time. It was a perfect amount for me and delicious. This was so nice! What a nice touch throwing this in my bag. Came here to try it during my lunch break and wanted something quick and the lady who helped me was super great because she was able to coordinate with her co workers and got my food out super fast! So first time trying this place because for one thing the food looked great on their menus and who doesn't love chicken? So I had to quickly choose and I chose the first thing I saw and it was the LA wrap which is i wanna say similar to their chicken Cesar salad wrap but just some differences. What I liked about the wrap was the fact that it had a fresh taste to it like that feeling of biting into something that was just made which is what one would say when they eat their food as soon as they receive it but for me it sat in my work fridge and at the end of the work shift it still tasted fresh even after 4-5 hours. The chicken was pretty flavorful! I think they use the chicken they roast in their ovens that I saw through their window which would explain why it was great tasting. It came with a side ranch to dip your wrap into but I like to pour over it like a burrito with hot sauce. The mashed potatoes that they gave was a nice little freebie and it was pretty darn good and I loved how creamy it was and I think what I should of done was dip the wrap into the mashed potatoes or at the very least spread it over onto with every bite....over all my experience was great and I think I will for sure come back to try the other stuff when I'm not pressed on time which is why for me for now it'll be a 4 star! My recommendation is being delivered off fair management. We called ahead to hear a voice recording insuring that closing was at a later time. Upon arrival we were informed that we unfortunately didn't comprehend and that the kitchen was closed. Being in a place of power, the manager or lead that was on shift heard our problem and compensated our night. She gifted us two "California Chicken Salads. Love the colors it gives beach shop vibes. They have small parking lot that collides with the parking lot so it can get crowded very easily. I did take out today and my order was delayed 20 min from the time I was told it would be ready to pick up. I get it things happen and it was Friday so all good! Food was fresh and great quality. Such great prices Huge salad for $6 and $11 for a footlong wrap. I got the Caesar wrap and Chinese salad by the way. The wrap was good but too many crunch pita croutons to my liking. Really great customer service here. We didn't realize this was take-out only, and there's really no seating aside from four chairs outside to sit and wait for your food. My family and I ordered, and decided to just sit and eat in the chairs. We each ordered a canned soda and asked for them first. My parents asked for a cup of ice, and the girl working brought one out for me as well. When our order was ready, there were three canned sodas and I told the guy handing it to us that we already received ours. He said to not worry about it and let us keep them, which was really nice! We were struggling with not really having napkins and the girl working brought us a bunch out without having to ask. Food was great, as always. It really hit the spot! read more

Really love California Chicken Cafe. The one thing that I don't really understand or particularly like is that it seems all locations are for takeout only. I would've thought at some point they would've reopened their locations for sit down. I do miss dining in, I really like their new vibe and color schemes they have going these days. But I guess a minor issue and the online ordering is very easy and they bring it right out to you hot and ready. Decided to get CCC for Mother's Day today my right wife really likes CCC and so does the rest of the family. We just ordered a whole bunch of things to share between a couple families. we got two dark piece specials, which are eight pieces of dark meat as well as the lower section of the chicken. You can only do one dark meat special per order so we ordered two separate orders for the two different families. Also ordered a whole chicken ASM another 1/4 dark, their chicken is so flavorful and juicy just can't get enough of it, as you can tell. We also ordered a few Chinese chicken salads a couple large orders of the roasted potatoes and a couple large orders of the broccoli pasta and a chicken Caesar wrap , with various sauces on the side, it was so good, although it is getting pretty expensive, about $200+ today, but the quality is there and there is enough to eat multiple meals usually. We did have 7 people. If you haven't been to California Chicken Cafe in quite some time, revisit and get some excellent food, just come hungry. Enjoy! read more

CCC have changed their operations processes since Covid. There is no more indoor seating but the online ordering process works smoothly without hassle. You can add and subtract options that you Do not want, and add notes to your order, plus choose the times you want the order to be prepared. For my food: the Melrose wrap without tomatoes is what I ordered with Italian dressing on the side!!! OMG! Fire for sure. I recommend for healthy options the lite wheat pita bread. You will not be disappointed! The ambiance at this location is just the parking lot! Haha no inside party for ya, but it's cool! This is my favorite CCC location in the valley! The plaza can feel chaotic because it's a hub for CSUN students but the employees at this CCC are so efficient that that's not even an issue.
