We love this dog park! Besides the trash cans being wide-mouthed (therefore having a bad smell) and the water fountain on the large dog section overflowing at times, it is a great place for your pup to get his or her energy out. There are two completely gated in sections, one for small and one for large dogs. The small dog section is decently sized, and the large dog side has lots of room for our pup to run. Both sides are stocked with waste bags for your dog, as well as a water fountain for them to drink from. They are finished in wood chips, not grass. We come here at least 2-3 times a week and and there has seldom been a time we were here without another friendly dog to play with. read more

Hidden Gem! This dog park is walking distant from me which is a huge bonus. There very few dog park around especially in downtown LA. This is owned by LA live so its very clean and well kept.. covered in chips not dust so youre dog won't come home extra dirty. I have a golden retreiver and an italian greyhound puppy who is still somewhat timid. I've been working to socialize the greyhound better, but he gets very scared when I have to separate him from the golden retrevier. This dog park is unknown and quiet enough that he is comfortable in the large dog area. Theres usually only one or two other dogs around when I'm there which may be a disadvantage to some but is ideal for my very timid small dog. For being downtown this park is also quite large. There's plenty of room to fetch and run, not to mention a functional drinking fountain for the dogs, and fully stocked poo bags always. I've been here 3 times so far and am planning to visit several times a week from here out. Again its not busy which may be a con for some owners really looking to siocialize thier pets. read more

Brought my puppy here on a Sunday afternoon. The park seemed to be out of the way and not in the best location. I expected there to be more dogs, but there were only 2 -- one in the small dogs section and one in the big dogs section. If you're looking for a place for your dog to run around freely with little interference, this is your place. I bring my dog to the dog park as means of socialization with other dogs, so I personally would rather just bring her to other dog parks with more dogs. read more

I went to this dog park for the first time this past Sunday. The park is very clean and relaxing. There is a separate area for large and small dogs, which is very nice. When my dog and I arrived at the park, we were the only ones there so we had the park to ourselves. Because the park was so secure I took my dog off the leash to play. The park even has a little water fountain for the visiting dogs. I loved this park and will return regularly! read more

What a little hidden gem! This dog park is wayyyy in the back of LA Live, behind all the stadiums and parking garages. I was nervous I wouldn't be able to find it, but once I did, I was so glad. My dog and I had just come from trying to go to the Arts District dog park, which was flooded and abandoned. I was super upset leaving there and wasn't sure about this one, either. Once I got there, though, it was great. I have a little chihuahua who is sometimes skeptical of other dogs, but everyone here was so friendly -- dogs and owners! The actual park is pretty nice. The large part is wood chips and very clean, enough room for the dogs to run. 3 stars is because of location. It's literally in the highway I also missed it and drove past it twice and of course it's a one way and there's no parking. There were no other dogs here so definitely wasn't worth the 10$ in parking and aggravation only to have my dog sit and stare at me. It's loud and noisy since it's right of the highway. If there were other dogs here it would have been better so at least my pup could be tired out and play. There's only one shaded spot here as well at the very end so it's not ideal especially with the California sun beating down. Won't be coming back here read more

I went to this dog park last month. I'm from the more interior area of the IE, like the Rancho Cucamonga area, so I wasn't sure what to expect. the large dog park side is a fair size. I feel that mine and the up to 5 other large dogs that were there at one point had ample space to run, although it was still smaller than one of the parks closer to me. my biggest issue was that I felt there could have been more shade. most of the available shade is essentially large bushes, there may have been some small trees, but it's all clustered in one small spot. there's also only 2 benches, one on each end of the park, and they're both in direct sun. there's also only one doggy water fountain, so if you're all playing on the opposite end of the park, everyone has to go all the way to the other end for water. there was a good amount of grass though. not a bad park, I just feel it could be better. oh and you have to park in one of the nearby structures or something. I had to pay $5 read more

Clean Clean Clean! And can I say that one more time! Like someone else said, the park being right by the street scares the living shit out of me. My dog is only 5lbs so I'm deathly afraid--- even though it's probably not even feasible---that she's going to slide underneath the gate and run into the street trying to chase a person! But so far this hasn't happened. I haven't seen any other small dogs at the park...so I'm a little sad about that...considering that's basically why I bring her here. Very very small! Definitely not some place I would return any time soon.. Now granted my mom has a small dog and I like to take her on walks. But this just gives me anxiety I'm better off just taking her to a big park that's dog friendly. Not much room to walk around and its very closed in. I'm sure it is perfect for others but it's just not my cup of tea. Or shall I say cup of kibble and bits. For anyone who wants to know of another park, there is one off Beverly Blvd & fair fax! The only reason I didn't give it all five stars is because it was empty. But it was the cleanest dog park I've ever been to the wood chips made it very nice. It's well-maintained but my dog was literally the only one there and that's no fun! Easy to get to I love that there's a parking structure. It is five dollars for the first two hours or you can find street parking. Would definitely come back on a play date with other doggies! read more

I'm so glad they opened this park in DTLA! It is a nice workout for my dog to walk to the park and back. They have separate sections for big and small dogs. The park consists of wood chips and a dirt path along the fence. It is pretty clean and people clean up after themselves. Poop bags, benches, and dog/human water fountains are available. I had trouble finding it at first but its right by the Ritz. While I enjoy this dog park, I do wish it was bigger!! read more

Extremely small, no dogs when I went, very clean. If you just need to take your dog to pee then this is fine and it's nice and clean. If you want to socialize them or give them a place to burn off energy, this isn't a great choice as it's small and it was completely empty when I went on a Saturday afternoon. Very well kept dog park! It's gated with plenty of plants for pups to sniff around. Wood chips keep them from coming home extra dusty. No shade... But compared to several other dog parks within Los Angeles it gets an A+. read more

My doggie loves this dog park! It is big enough for her to run around with her friends and just chillax. Somehow a couple of times that I have visited this park there is small dogs in the large dogs area and vice versa. "It was like this when we arrived." Errmm no, it has happened couple of times before and you always give me that excuse. Also, I don't understand why people with small dogs come to the big dogs area... they play differently and they have different energy etc. Read what the sign says about the areas, thank you. read more

This is by far one of my fav dog parks because it is separated between large dogs and small dogs. Both sides have benches and the ground is made up of woodchips. Not many dogs come by so dont bring your dog if you need your pet to socialize. But a great dog park if you just want your dog to run around for a good minutes smelling plants and doing their business. read more

It's so nice to have this dog park downtown. It has an area for small dogs and another for the large. It's clean, and not crowded. The only drawback is that there aren't many parking options near the park (except for the convention center garage, which can get expensive). Just be careful with the wood chips covering the ground. On our first visit, my big dog got a piece of wood chip stuck in between her paw pads. She started limping around, but I was able to get it out before she was injured. read more

It's a nice and calm park. But it's usually empty, I have came to park around 10 times and only half of those times were there ever dogs. And when there were dogs, there were only about 2 or 3. It's nice but I'd love it if more people knew of the park and came here. read more
