I started out eating out at La Madeleine at the original location on Mockingbird in Dallas. I've been a fan ever since. I absolutely love their soups, especially the cream of mushroom, it ROCKS. Also the lemon tarts are incredible. Today the manager stopped by my table twice to check on me. I watched him, he was very attentive to everything that was going on in his restaurant. I've been a fan of La Madeleine for years and years. You can order from the menu or get premade items from the bar. Try the Chicken Friand it's the best. The Chicken Friand is a puff pastry filled with a chicken and mushroom filling. Light and flaky, it's soooo good. Also, get the Mushroom sauce on the side. This will keep the Friand from getting soggy (plus you seem to get more sauce YUM YUM) I also love their French onion soup. Everything I've had here is great. This place is on the pricy side but every now and then it's worth it to treat yourself. read more

La Madeline is a really great place to come for a quick bite or even on a date or lunch. This place is always busy during brunch hours so I recommend coming before or after if you wanna avoid the rush. The ambience makes you really feel cozy and like you're experiencing lunch/dinner in France. They have outside seating as well as inside. The service and workers are very on point always, they are always willing to help you. Workers are very quick with everything especially taking orders, serving food, and cleaning tables. The food is fantastic as well as the service and the environment. My all time favorites here would be the pasta, tomato basil soup, chicken friand, and the salad. Desserts are to die for as well!! My biggest complaint, however...WHY DID THEY REMOVE THE PARISIAN EGGS FROM THE MENU? they had already cannned the egg Benedict, and eggs Parisian was an excellent substitute. I came in town to visit my family, and this La Madeleine was always my favorite spot but WOW how it's changed. The food is disgusting. I ordered the French country breakfast; the sausage taste like it had cleaning chemicals in there. The scrambled egg tastes like rubber, and the staff was so rude and unprofessional, especially Chris, the manager on duty on Monday, November 16th, around noon. The manager's attitude and rude, dismissive behavior to customer concerns are why this location has so many complaints and a low rating; he doesn't have his priorities straight and has no clue how to speak with a customer. I think he should be terminated and replaced with someone who can turn this place back to what it used to be. Chris is the biggest problem at this location. His lack of professionalism trickles down to his employees. I was sad to see what a dump this beautiful restaurant was turned into -- lousy management. read more

This review is on the dessert only. La Madeleine has great dessert! I went in because I had a taste for something sweet and hit the jackpot. The fruit tart and strawberry cheesecake parfait were just what satisfied my sweet tooth. We were greeted promptly after entering the restaurant and the staff was patient while we made up our minds. This was my first time coming here and I enjoyed my lunch along with my coworkers. Having read the reviews prior to coming, I knew that the ordering process was similar to old school Furrs or Lubys. After perusing the menu, I decided on the salad sampler and got the tomato basil pesto bow tie salad, ceasar sald, and the strawberry???? Whatever it was it had brandy in it and was DEVINE! I was very satisfied with my selections and felt full. The quality of the food was great and the cost was reasonable for lunch. I thought it was good, but I've honestly had better tomato basil soup before (at Snooze located in San Diego, CA and Denver, CO). But I would probably order it here again because it was still good. Do not order Uber Eats from this place. They absolutely do not care how much they mess up your order and will not help fix it. I had 3 items missing and they only thing they said was call Uber Eats. i have grown up going to Le Madeleine...but this one was not as easy going. The food was okay at first....but there were no plates for the break...which is really no big deal. What ACTUALLY bothered me was the service. The staff was a a little obnoxious, but I undertanf, work can get long. But when we ordered our to go meal, the person takjng the order, sorta brushed us off, somewhat rushed us through the order, rather than actually listening to us. So this is where the confusion began. We ordered something that wasn't on the menu, because we misread it. We sked for a kale ceasar salad. Instead of letting us know that they do not have it, she gave us 3 quinoa kale mediterranean. We called the restaurant back and explained to the manager...before apologizing for the confusion, he defensively cut us off with "we don't have kale." He just repeated it and said nothing else. I came in for a simple breakfast. I ordered the American breakfast--2 fried eggs, 3 strips of bacon, and a croissant. I also ordered an American coffee, simply because it was the closest to breakfast blend. The cashier, Jolene, was so sweet and helpful. She helped me with my coffee order and was so polite. As I waited for my meal, I grabbed some French bread and my coffee. The bread was delicious. The coffee was just right. Though, I wish they had a sugar shaker instead of packets. I loved that their cream options were liquid: milk, low fat milk, and 2 canisters of half-and-half. Charlie brought me my meal. He was so polite. I loved they added a little slice of tomato. Pardon my French (lol, pun), but fuck yes. I love tomatoes. I sprinkled on them and ran a train on them. The eggs were great. Most places have so much grease, but it looked like the chef used a minimal amount of a less-non healthy oil, like peanut oil. The bacon had ZERO grease. AMAZING! It was so crispy, too. Parfait! As I left, I filled up my coffee to go. Charlie was filling up little cups of jelly to go. I joked and asked if we were going to do shots. The fact he chuckled shows the employees aren't robots like other French restaurants. I would recommend if you're looking for a quiet place to sit down and maybe chat with a friend. read more

As a regular La Madeline patron I trust the quality and service reliably found in most locations yet after this second visit within seven days, I find that staff simply gazing into the distance ignoring people looking to place an order or casually talking amongst themselves to be both insulting and embarrassing for this restaurant chain I love. This sentiment was further realized when food orders were failing to materialize for numerous other customers after a wait longer than what it takes from standing in the end of a line outside of other La Madeline locations at the busiest lunch hour and finishing a meal. Went to eat here today for breakfast. As we were eating the cook set the grill on fire and the room filled full of smoke. So that bad taste of burning grease and fire extinguisher filled the room. Well the taste of the food was ruined at that point due to that. Before that is was fine. It was so bad that has to leave the doors open to let it air out. read more

Walked into this location and we received the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. The cashier was blunt and didn't have a good customer service attitude, my boyfriend wanted a dish he had before and asked if it was still on the menu and he was just told "I have no idea". We ordered and sat down at a table with a view of the counter. I saw the same cashier stick her hands in the bin of shredded yellow cheese and separate it (with no gloves on). I ordered a roast beef sandwich, which was not tasty at al but even worse, my boyfriend got his plate which was a mushroom pasta dish and the mushroom sauce was literal water (and missing his sides). He brought it back up and was offered a sandwich in replacement. He enjoyed that one a little bit more but it was still very lackluster. We even went to get a cup of water and looked through SEVEN glasses and all were dirty. The service is horrible, there was a couple that walked in and literally walked right back out. Extremely disappointing and very unwelcoming after I was so excited to try this place. Do not come here, and I'm not exaggerating. Went up there tonight after work to get a chicken Caesar salad. I brought it home and the chicken which is usually warmed up in a small container was just put on top of the salad and it was ice cold. The dressing was terrible. I ended up throwing the whole thing out. I don't know what happened but it was just awful. First let me say that the food is truly magnificent at La Madeleine! We visit at least once a week. However we find a repetitive employee attitude issue at this particular location. After waiting several minutes for assistance at the "to go" counter, I asked one out of 4 people if we could get assistance. He informed us someone would be with us shortly. When the lady at the register didn't know how to place my order she asked for a manager. The manager came to the counter with her arms crossed and wasn't customer friendly in the least. After placing my order I walked back to the back to pick up some fresh bread and spread and an odor of bathroom sanitizer was so strong it about turned my stomach. The thought of food being located right next to the bathroom just doesn't seem appropriate. However I decided to let that go and noticed there were about 10-12 flies around the bread box and IN the bread box! After informing the lady at the register she said she saw them and told the manager. But nothing was done. I give the food a 5 star, but the lack of employee service and lack of sanitary conditions, I would rate a -0-. As much as we LOVE the food, we no longer trust this location! And to add insult to injury, I checked the order before leaving and they didn't not give me the Turkey in my Meal! I asked for a full refund. read more

Love this place and the food is consistently delicious. The staff is friendly and the coffee is just right. This location is 5 minutes walking distance from our house. The details matter too, we have been sitting here for 30 minutes and not one person has come over to see how we are. The dishes have not been bussed from our table and people are standing around. Ok so I keep hearing how delicious the food is at La Madeleine, I had breakfast for myself and my son, we paid $30, which is fine, but to be very honest I felt the service as well as the food was sub par. The ordering is very confusing, we stood around not really knowing what to do for a while until we were directed, we had to order with two different people which I thought was unnecessary. Our food came out wrong and when we asked to get I fixed the response was "are you sure? It will take another 20 minutes to remake it?" So we decided to just eat what we were given. If this is the kind of customer service I am to expect than I think I will take my breakfast business elsewhere. There are too many great choices like Panera and Cracker Barrel than to have to pay to receive this quality of food and service. read more

This is our closest la Madelines so we frequent it often, especially for breakfast. It's a typical la Madelines in many respects. It's a train wreck to order. Whatever you do don't come when there's a line of people. It's literally every person for themselves. It's a wonder that riots don't take place at these places on Friday nights. The food here is very inconsistent yet when it's spot on there probably isn't a better value for the money in town. They recently did a small remodel at this location but it wasn't enough. Yet, it gets an eight out of ten on cleanliness. They have not had a consistent manager at this location in six months to a year. Some of the employees have been here for years and they know my standing order by heart. I think that's classy. Download their app. It's easy to use and worth it. If you have a "Reward" they apply it to your ticket without having to tell it to do so. A couple months ago my wife and I visited the store on the last night of a buy one get one free offer. We had to leave after waiting in the store an hour and no food. We lost out on the coupon. I emailed the company and ask if they'd give us another coupon. Two managers emailed back asking for my address so that they could send gift cards. I've yet to receive anything in the mail. All I wanted was a new coupon but it's whatever. Just send me something. My meal today was $10.83. I ordered the American Breakfast and a cup of coffee. The food was warm at best on a cool plate and the coffee not really hot. I ask them to make it right and bring it to me hot. A few moments later they returned the same eggs a little warmer with extra fresh hot bacon. The plate was still cool. Why they didn't just make it again the right way I have no clue. Coffee was never hot. Again, this is not the norm but not unusual here since the management is all over the place. Regardless, I'll keep returning and challenge you to give it a try. Again, on the right day with the right leadership this is an amazing value. read more

I have eaten at Le Madeleine at Parks Mall so I am absolutely shocked at how dirty and rude and poorly laid out this branch is. To order you have to make your way to the back of the Restaurant. Most of the tables were dirty and not cleaned up. The staff were rude and tired. Our food took almost 15 min to get to our table. I wouldn't recommend this location, you should go to the one at Parks Mall for better food and better service not to mention a cleaner environment. read more
