I think this is the last time I am eating in La Madeleine. I stop coming here for a while because I notice that every location is cutting corner. But I was really hungry and La Madeleine is the closest place to eat. I ordered chicken pesto pasta and a side of salad. I was given a salad in a small saucer. There's not much in there, I understand that it is only a side order that cost only 3.29 but at least put it in a small bowl so it does not spill every time I pick a salad. They make it appear that they give you plenty of salad by putting it in a small saucer. My chicken pesto pasta sauce is water down and have some shavings, shavings of chicken in there!!!. Very salty. This place is cutting corners and it makes me sad because I used to love coming here. For the money that I paid, I can get better food in Olive garden or add a bit more and go to Cheesecake Factory. Terrible service. Busser set her tray of dirty dishes with a rotten smelling rag next to our table and left it there. I had to move it myself. Check your bill--two people in our party of four were overcharged. Tired old building in need of repair. I caught my elbow on a broken piece of wood along the wall that had a big screw sticking out of it. It looked like it was old damage and the manager said he knew about it but couldn't get anyone to fix it. Absentee owner, sounds like, or just doesn't care. Decent food. Not imaginative, not all that French to be sure. Prices are fair. Coffee is kept in an urn too serve oneself but "French" one of the two styles offered, was empty. Left expensive sunglasses by accident at our table. Came back 10 mins later and the staff said they had found them and left them by the register, but that they were now gone. They tried getting in contact with the person who had been working to register and who had just left, but they said they couldn't get a hold of him. Basically got blank looks from the staff from there; the manager eventually took my name and number and said they would call me. Obviously I never heard back. I generally avoid cakes because they tend to disappoint me, but I actually LIKED their sachertorte. It was good. The cake itself was the epitome of decadent, and also super moist--I have no idea how they do it. I finally understand why cake boxes at supermarkets say MOIST (though of course, they aren't...). I finished the whole slice, untypical for me. The cream cheese diamond that says "sacher" was also delicious with the cake. The chocolate frosting on top feels just too sweet, but I consumed it all anyway. This cake is indeed very sweet and decadent, and I wished for milk the first time I had it. The next day I tried it with milk and strawberries, to tone down the intense sweetness, only to realize that the cake is meant to be the way it is. Enjoy the indulgence. read more

It was cold, so it's a soup and sandwich day. It was our first visit to La Madeleine in over 20 years and the first time at this location. We walked in and were immediately confused. There were several customers milling around the front and no one said boo to us and ordering protocols was not obvious. We both order soups and sandwiches and look for a place to sit down. With a number of people occupying tables long after breakfast was over and dirty tables everywhere, it was difficult finding a place to sit down. The food was mediocre at best. The french onion soup was near flavorless and the lentil soup was very al dente. My sandwich was very thin on protein and my wife's sandwich order was wrong. Stopped in for breakfast and no one was at the door or register, I asked the guy behind the counter if I seated myself and he pointed to the dining room. I sat there for 5 minutes then wondered if I was supposed to order at the counter. Approached the woman behind the register and asked if I was supposed to order at the counter or if there was table service. (I had seen no menus at this point) she asked "for food or coffee". I said food, she pointed to the dining room/counter and I asked again do I order at the counter? She didn't seem to understand me. I left and went the th me bakery cafe across the street. Great lunch experience. Staff really knows how to hustle during peak lunch hours. Amazing baked goods. Lunches are priced affordably and the quality is top notch. You can order a la carte so you only spend and only eat what you actually want to. The interior decor and feel is very cozy and inviting. There are also tables outside on the patio. The lunch service does not involve any waitstaff, you simply grab a tray and order up like one would at a cafeteria. If the kitchen needs to prepare anything they give you a number and you put it on your table. Super simple. After you fill your drink be sure to look to your right. There is a little container with a clear plastic cover full of free sliced breads. 3 different kinds and they are all fresh and delicious. There is also butter and 2 different kinds of fruit spreads. French dip sandwich with au jus and also the chicken salad sandwich on croissant were divine. Tomato basil soup was amazing. Caesar salad had very fresh greens and perfect amount of dressing with long rectangular croutons instead of the normal hard to spear with your fork square ones. Restaurant was very clean. A bit noisy inside but at peak lunch hour this is to be expected. If possible park on the north side of the building or park across the drive. Getting in and out of the parking spaces closest to the entrance is kind of a pain. This would be a great restaurant to take a date to! read more

I can't compliment their staff enough, from the managers to the amazing people who bring the coffee to the table. They are all so kind, helpful, and genuine. My first experience at this location left a lasting impression that has me coming back daily. The manager had me download the app and blew my mind with the rewards program and treats I can get. The coffee is fabulous! The creme brulee cheesecake to die for and the chicken la Madeline is my fav. Perfect spot to get some work done and unwind. I'll start off by saying this place is sinfully delicious. I ordered strawberries and cream as a side note with coffee. It was the best I've ever had. I believe the cream had some form of brandy or bourbon mixed in. Sadly they didn't have fresh squeezed orange juice, so I opted for water and coffee with my breakfast. Everything was very fresh and well prepared. I most definitely will be back to enjoy another serving of strawberries and cream.....I'm already salivating. LOL read more

They are a franchise so there isn't much to say but compared to other locations the staff is a lot more friendly and attentive. The restroom was clean and there is plenty of parking. The only con is that the service is a bit slow but since they are friendly it is very tolerable. read more

Great for breakfast lunch or dinner! Healthy yummy food and wonderful service from their always pleasant and friendly staff. Today my bf and i came in for breakfast. He had the American breakfast which comes with your choice of eggs sausage and a crossaint. I had the Parisienne eggs Benedict. Poached eggs with hollandaise on a bed of ham bacon on a crossaint. The young lady at the salad station was new but she and her trainer communicated well. The cashier was not very communicative and rushed me through. It wasn't a very welcoming feel although I've been here many times before. He probably just needs coaching on customer service and communication, something the other members of his team could help him develop. If you've not tried La Madeleine, you should. You can come here for breakfast, lunch and dinner! They always have a good selection of baked goods and desserts - this is important. Although somewhat overpriced, the mini ones are just so cute! Although the staff isn't super friendly, I would not knock another star off for that reason. I had the turkey bistro sandwich and pasta la Madeleine with chicken. They were both good but I mean their food isn't spectacular, it's just simple and consistent. And complimentary strawberry jam to spread on my complimentary bread? Don't mind if I do! Very good for chain food. The sandwich and soup combo is a great deal. I really like the chicken pesto sandwich and the tomato basil soup even though I'm pretty sure neither of them is good for me. When you're making mass produced food I think salt, oil and cream are your best bets to make something tasty. If it was just about the food, I'd give it only 3 stars, but they atmosphere inside is just really cozy and they have free Wi-Fi. They'd do better not to staple the takeout bag shut so you could go through everything before leaving. My Caesar salad was 1/4 of the size it should have been, blah blah blah...
