Where to begin... let's just say there blackberry cream cheese croissants are delicious walked up to the restaurant at 8 pm to get some of these delicious croissants for the morning with my coffee lady at the checkout Informed me that they are completely out. I asked if they are making more they told me that they would not until the next morning. I was very disappointed... called another La Madeline on Campbell to see if they had any left they said they only have one ... the person asked how many I need I said 5 after a few min on hold the employee said, "we can make you fresh ones in 15 min" I said wow that's awesome so I went to the Campbell la Madeline to pick them up well the 15 st la Madeline never offered to make me fresh ones and I go there at least 2 times a week .. it looks like I won't be going there any more. La Madeleine on 15th Street, Plano is a very pleasant restaurant to dine in...I love all their food but the quiche with a fruit cup is my favorite. The fruit is always fresh and nice and cold. I like the breads that I can pick from. My only disappointment this time was the coconut white cake. I love coconut white layered cake and was thrilled when I saw it in the dessert case. I like the old way of baking coconut I guess. This one was way to moist inside and didn't have the traditional white creamy filling and top. But I do like their other desserts. read more

Perfect day to sit on the patio and drink coffee and enjoy a pastry. Had to buss my own table and use a wet napkin to clean things off. In the hour that we were there, no one ever came to clean any tables. Food was fine, but restaurant is badly managed, understaffed, and dirty. read more

The food is wonderful, the ambiance is pleasant, and the patio is surprisingly quiet for the restaurant's location. The only reason this restaurant doesn't get five stars from me is that the staff doesn't come across as being professional enough, especially as compared to the staff at other La Madeleine locations. read more

I wholeheartedly recommend the Shrimp Florentine Crepe at La Madeleine in Plano, TX. All three ingredients had the perfect texture and temperature. With that combination, it is very difficult to do, and I could tell the spinach was fresh, not the frozen kind. Very impressive! read more

I just ate at this location and froze. Everyone in there had their coats on because of the cold. The food got cold fast because of this. Even the manager who was cooking had a light jacket on. I I ever walk into this place again and it is that cold I will turn right around and leave. read more

My fiance' and I tried La Madeleine after church on Sunday, 10/30/16. There was one person in line in front of us, yet it took about 15 minutes to pay for our order. Then, when they brought our order, we only got one of our plates. We waited patiently for another 10 minutes and they didn't bring my food. We asked for some assistance, they brought me a plate, but it wasn't what I had ordered and the 1st plate of food was cold. We requested a refund - DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT - IT IS NOT WORTH IT. read more

Awesome food. But the to go area was sooooo slow. Only 1 person working and 10 people waiting for food.

This location has really lost the original spirit of this well-loved chain. Although the "new" owners of the chain may not realize it, replacing the traditional soup kettles with the cheap, industrial looking steam tables is disappointing. Went on my way to pick up my son, it was empty so I thought it will be quick, right after me 4 different people show up to get to go food as well.... All four people got there to go order before me ,and I didn't even order any speciality things. She just went last to first. Stopped into this location last week hoping for a quick lunch. Anything but! It was nearly empty at 2pm on Saturday, but it took 20 minutes to get a simple turkey sandwich. All the manager could say was "sorry." Did this guy get any training? The food was fine, as usual, but it's also fine at Panera, Cafe Express, and a dozen other chains just like La Madeleine that appear to care more about service. read more

This is our favorite girl's lunch out place to meet with all my friends. The service is great, the food always tasty, and you can sit and visit for hours by the fireplace undisturbed. Love the Strawberries Romanoff! Can't get enough and those alone will keep me coming back for more. read more

In all my years of enjoying LaMadeleine at this location today was my first horrible customer service experience. I placed my order online however the system would not allow me to input my credit card number which is attached to my log on ID. I had already sent someone to the location to pick up the food so called to submit payment over the phone. I was told that I would need to speak a manager and when someone answered I was TOLD, not asked to hold. 18 minutes later I was STILL holding. I received a call from the person who was picking up the food and they asked the clerk to speak with me for payment. They said no and ended up paying for the order with cash. THIS IS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was not provided a reason just given a NO. Seriously, all they had to do was pull my card number from my online order. I realize this all happened during the lunch rush but the lack of leadership at this location is baffling. I'll think twice about visiting again. read more

Waited 15 mins at the salad bar for someone, anyone, to just show up so I could order a Caesar salad and a quiche Lorraine. Ordered at cafe mocha and cappuccino when paying. Waited another 20+ minutes for that and only because I went up there to check. All I got was "sorry for the wait" from a teenager. I should've gone to the one on West Park. I never have good experiences at this one. Have at least ONE more person behind the counter other than just your cashier and the Togo person. Only gave it 2 stars because at least my order was right. Or it would've been 1. This was supposed to be a quick snack with my little brother. read more

Is La Madeline closing? This is the second location out of food with a 30-40 minute wait to receive an order. Their 15th location in Plano was out of bread and several other items to purchase. The service was horrible. We won't be back to this location. Very disappointing. read more

Really wanted to like the $8.00 country French Breakfast. I was with a group of people so I didn't want to create a scene, but it was one of the worst meals I've had in a long time. The potatoes were cold, the ham was the type you'd put on a sandwich and it was cold. There was a hair on my plate. Do I need to say more? read more

We eat at la Madeline once a week. The food is great. What irritates me is when the food is ready and the cook rings the bell the waiter walks around trying find who the food belongs to. We could be sitting at the table right next to the kitchen and the waiter would go right by us, makes one round around the restaurant showing everyone the food asking did you order this. When this happens I LOOSE MY APITITE! They need to get rid of them wooden spoons with letters and get electronic table finders PLEASE! read more

Called twice to place a to-go order and the phone was never answered. Stopped by and placed the to-go order and found 3 people working this area, yet a gentleman waited at the counter 10 minutes for a dessert from the case. They were "out of" tomato basil soup - wierd seeing 40 jars of it stacked in front of the counter. The sliced bread at the to-go counter was stale. read more

I love the salads at La Mad everything is very fresh and they give you a copious amount. breakfast is also wonderful.

I come to the restaurant on 15th quite often, once every couple of weeks. Its open late most nights so its a good place to hand out and have a cup of coffee and chat. Desserts are great, try the creme bruee with fruit or the key lime pie. The salad sampler is a good deal and the mushroom soup is amazing...better than the onion soup. Tiramisu is dissapointing, but then this is a french and not Italian restaurant. Great place to bring a date... has a fireplace in the winter and its an intimate environment when you can chat and laugh. Only thing I would change is the folks greeting you in French as they don't seem to know anything beyond "Bonjour". read more

Fourth rate restaurant. First, Americano and Cappucino seem interchangeable in their vocabulary. Then after a 22-minute wait, the sandwiches ordered without horseradish arrived. With horseradish. Another few minutes to get someone who speaks English to tell them the sandwiches are wrong. At the 35-minute mark, my son finally went to the register for a refund. This place has earned the number one spot in my book: Restaurants I Don't Go To. read more

I really like this place. The food is always fresh and to my liking. It is a nice little escape with a French atmosphere and a fireplace and all. Last time I went to eat with my family in La Madeleine, The server who took the order did not know how to take certain items on the menu on the computer and asked the manager few times. As a result when the food came in to the table, we did not get my dad's order because the server did not put it through. I don't have an issue with any new server is under training but, my blame is directed to the manager who is not standing next to the server till he knows how to take an order efficiently. Finally, the server didn't turn out to be new after all and this is the disaster that shows the quality of training this restaurant provides to it's employees. read more

Used to enjoy this restaurant but they recently hired new staff that submitted our order incorrectly at our last visit. My wife ordered the Grilled Salmon and Dill entree from the "Front Wait Staff" and when we got to the cashier to pay for our meals, the cashier did not see her order on the computer. I showed her the order on the menu hoping that she could help us but she said that it was a salad dish and that I needed to go back to the salad line. So we lost our place in line and had to wait at the back of the line again only to find that it was NOT a salad dish...the "Front Wait Staff" forgot to put in the order. When I told the cashier that the order was not a salad dish, she lied and said that it was not the order that I initially indicated (yes it was!). The "Front Wait Staff" apologized, but the Cashier looked annoyed like she didn't want to be there and didn't want to be bothered. Later I asked the Cashier for a "to go box and bag" and again she brushed me off. When we complained to the manager, she (the manager) looked annoyed as well and tossed us a gift card without an apology as if to say, "TAKE THIS CARD AND GET OUT OF MY FACE!!!" The La Madeleine restaurants are all over the area and this one close to Colin Creek Mall has been here for quite some time. It's difficult to find the employees you talked with the last time you visited as they always seem to be a different staff on duty. The breads are good as are the desserts, however the prices keep going up and paying 2 to 5 dollars for a small tart has now reached the limit for me. The food is Ok but not outstanding. We eat breakfast here and it's the usual American Breakfast. Prices have risen for the scrambled eggs, bacon and bread. Coffee is good but a long way from being gourmet. Prices I believe are way to high for the self service type restaurant this place is. You can replenish your bread, butter and jelly at the counter, which at times will appear to be rather empty. This just has to be planned to cut down on the amount of bread, butter and jelly that you and I are getting. read more
