The restaurant is located inside the food hall of Ponce City Market, on Level 1, near Ton Ton Ramen and the Williams-Sonoma store. Parking at Ponce City Market is really packed in the weekend. There are limited indoor seats, which include bar seating and some outdoor seating (still within the food hall). The restaurant is small but well-decorated with Spanish-inspired decor. Our server was extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. It also helps that they display actual menu items behind a glass shelf, so you can see what the food looks like. The only issue is that most of the display dishes are above eye level and are partially obscured by a black chalkboard with the dish names. The chalkboard covers half of the food display, and for shorter people like me, it's hard to see the food at all. I had to sit on a bar stool just to get a glimpse of it. The food is tasty and served in tapas style. I don't think the prices are unreasonable, as long as you avoid the tinned seafood, which the restaurant is known for. I went there specifically to try the tinned seafood. They offer both tinned fish and tinned shellfish. There are three ways to enjoy the tinned seafood: you can buy the can as-is and eat it fresh from the can or take it home; they can give you crackers to eat with it; or you can choose the "Chef it Up" option, where the chef prepares it for you with an additional $12 fee. I chose the third option, where the chef prepared the tinned shellfish with olive oil, minced garlic, and garnishes. The tinned razor clam cost $30 and was served in a small portion, making my dish total $42. While the tinned razor clam tasted fine, I didn't feel it was worth the price. Aside from the tinned seafood, the rest of my order was good. The restaurant has a full bar, so they were able to make me a fruity mocktail, which we enjoyed. Our meal included: - Tinned razor clam with Chef It Up: The portion was too small, and the flavor didn't impress. - Bocata Jamón (cured ham and pressed tomato sandwich): My boyfriend really enjoyed the sandwich. - Basque cheesecake: A soft and refreshing dessert. Note: If you order the sandwich during lunch hours, it is smaller but includes fries. If you order it outside of lunch hours, the portion is larger but doesn't come with Overall, we had a good experience.

I visited La METRO with my wife and two of our friends this past weekend. We were looking to try somewhere new, and we came across this restaurant on Instagram and TikTok as a new Tapas bar in Midtown. We instantly gravitated towards it and called to make a reservation. We were unable to make a reservation online, so I called in and made a reservation. We got there and were seated instantly. We had a reservation for 6:30, and it was nice to know that they have a happy hour from 4PM -7PM every day. It includes a glass of wine for $5, a small beer for $3, and patatas for $5, and you can choose your sauce. The beer is a slim beer, so not too big. The wine is a pretty decent sized glass, but smaller than average. And the patatas is honestly a pretty big portion! We then looked over the menu and all got things to share. It's a tapas restaurant, so everything on the menu is designed to share, which is nice, cause there were 4 of us, and we all wanted to try different things. We got the patatas, pan con tomate, bok choy, shrimp al ajillo, chicken a la plancha, croquetas jamon, and the tasting board. Everything tasted SO GOOD. The dish that I really enjoyed was the bok choy. It had this spicy chili crispy and tasted soooo good. I had never really had anything like that before. The chicken a la plancha was really flavorful too. Honestly, everything we got was very tasty! The tapas come out as ordered, which was nice, cause we were all so hungry. They have a pretty big food menu, so you will definitely find something you like. Our server was EXCELLENT. His name was Javier. He was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. He was quick to clear empty cups/plates, and always was checking on us. He was a great server to us! La METRO is a great place to go with some friends or even on a date night. I do want to note that there aren't a lot of tables inside the restaurant itself. The four of us shared this smaller round table, which was quite small, but it did the job. There was a shelf with hooks behind us, so we could place all our jackets and purses (for the girls.) I also do suggest making a reservation as well, especially if you go on the weekend. We went on a Friday night, and it was PACKED. As for parking, this restaurant is located inside Ponce City Market, so you need to pay for parking. I don't believe any of the restaurants validate parking at all, so keep that in mind. I look forward to coming back here in the future and trying more delicious Spanish tapas!!

Came here for dinner and happy hour on a Friday. We were seated right away. They have $5 patatas bravas and $5 cava. We also got the croquettes, the albondigas and the cannelloni. All were great! Love this new spot in ponce as a more formal option.

We were on the Half Day Atlanta tour and our last stop was the Ponce Market. We found La Metro there. Reading over their menu, I was transported back to Bilbao or Barcelona, Spain with their incredibly delicious tapas with the yummy wine or beer to match them!!! Make sure you stop there! It is well worth the visit. Everything we tried was superb!

Galician Style Empanada, calamari's Fritos, montadito de salmon lomo, Spanish meatballs, la mami cocktail and ananas jaibol cocktail

Staff was AWSOME. Very knowledgeable and helpful when it came to trying items on the menu. Prices were unbeatable! Highly recommend the Spanish Meatballs and Galician Style Empanadas. We will be back!

Authentic Spanish tapas and pintxos. Feels very much like Madrid. And the Mahou beer on tap is cold and delicious.

Just a warning, the space inside is pretty small--typically there's optional seating outside, but it's really chilly at the moment (although they have heaters)--but there's more seating downstairs in The Victorian Atlanta plant shop. I didn't realize that the two were connected! FYI, if you sit downstairs, you'll be seated next to where the live music performers will be playing, so it will be louder there. As for the drinks, I tried the Zombie. I loved it so much, I ordered a second one instead of trying a different one! It tasted sweet and slightly tropical with the rum and spiced liqueur. It also had some absinthe, which I was worried about when I first ordered it since I hate the taste of it (not a big fan of black licorice flavors), but I didn't taste it at all! Overall, this place had such a great vibe to it!

First, I tried to see the menu online but quickly found there are a lot of menus and they change, so you can't really know what they're serving. They had just five entrees to pick from, and none were very appetizing. Each was over-engineered, too. They were good about asking about allergies, but if you're traveling and careful about introducing new things to your diet, maybe this place isn't for you. They do have a steak. At $200, it's made for the entire table. You can't just get a steak, even though they clearly have steak. Frankly, a lot of the menu was just gross. Sweetbreads, steak tartare, veal. We picked a chicken plate with potatoes. The potatoes were fine. The chicken was very dry. I asked for iced tea. "We don't serve tea products" was the response. WTF? And while the cocktail and wine choices seemed numerous, the beer was extremely limited. We just stuck with water. Then there was the service. The staff were polite and prompt, but some of the habits were just deeply weird. They kept coming by and folding our napkins. Like, you get up, use the bathroom (an unmarked door adjacent to the kitchen), come back, and somebody has picked up your napkin, the one you've been touching your face with, folded it with their bare hands, and left it there. Look, servers roll silverware and I'm no germophobe, but we really don't need more people touching my napkin throughout the meal, do we? This carried over to other staff who would randomly stop by to clear plates and wipe the table down while we all had to stop talking, watch them replace perfectly clean silverware with new perfectly clean silverware, and then leave. Always with new people. None of this makes it a bad restaurant. It's probably exactly what some people are looking for. It just isn't for me.

I know the word gets overused, but it truly was a whole vibe. What I loved most is that it's the kind of place where everyone feels welcome. There's no pressure, no strict dress code--just a come-as-you-are energy, and people genuinely receive you that way. Within five minutes of being there, I already felt comfortable. Everyone was so friendly--the bartenders, the people around us, even the random interactions felt warm and easy. The space itself is really cool too. They have artwork featuring icons like Prince, Tupac, and Biggie, which added to the overall atmosphere. We ordered the King Peach (I believe it had bourbon--I did take a picture of the menu, though it's a little cut off), and it was really good. Smooth, flavorful, and easy to sip. They're open until 2 AM, so it's a great spot whether you're grabbing a drink with friends, on a date, or even just stopping by solo to soak in the energy. It's one of those places where you can just be. I'd love to make this a regular spot--definitely somewhere I can see myself coming back to at least once a month.

I sat at the bar and had a little light banter with the bartender who is a brother looking to be in his late 30's-early 40's. When I asked about two fruity cocktails from the menu, he flat-out said he wasn't going to make them. That alone was off-putting. Trying to move forward, I asked what he specialized in, and he said he'd "come up with something." I agreed--but very clearly stated: no rum, because my body does not react well to it. After watching him make drinks for people who ordered after me, he eventually handed me a cocktail I never even saw him prepare. That already raised a flag. I took a few sips, and sure enough--my stomach immediately started reacting the exact way it does when I've had rum. When I asked what alcohol he used, he said, "I don't even know." That response alone tells you everything you need to know. At that point, I reminded him I specifically said no rum. Instead of taking accountability, he tried to argue and backtrack. Let me be clear--when a customer tells you not to use a specific liquor, you don't ignore it, guess, or "forget." That's basic service and basic respect. This situation completely threw off my evening, as I had plans afterward and ended up feeling sick. To make matters worse, I reached out to management and received no response. That lack of accountability speaks volumes. At the end of the day, this wasn't just a bad drink--it was careless service. This staff does not prioritize customer care, and that's a problem. If you choose to visit, be very direct, pay close attention, and don't assume your requests will be respected.

Italian Steakhouse Says It All - The Best of All Worlds…read more Walked into IL Premio on a Monday night and was told there was an hour wait for a table, so I headed to the bar- fortunately, a seat was open. I started with one of my favorite Reposados by Herradura. For my Crudi, I ordered the Ricciola alla Puttanesca, what i thought was going to be a classic Italian seafood dish that traditionally features ricciola (Italian amberjack) in puttanesca sauce. The menu noted it was made with yellowtail, which piqued my curiosity. I expected the ricciola to be pan-seared or lightly grilled and finished with the sauce, or served with the sauce spooned over the top. To my surprise, the dish arrived as thinly sliced raw yellowtail, presented sashimi/crudo-style. Each slice was topped with a small amount of sauce infused with capers, Taggiasca olives, Calabrese chiles, and possibly sun-dried tomatoes, all classic puttanesca ingredients. Microgreens completed the presentation. This could be described as a "ricciola crudo with puttanesca-style garnish" rather than a traditional cooked ricciola alla puttanesca. Essentially, the chef uses the puttanesca flavor profile (capers, olives, chiles, tomato, oil) as a raw topping instead of cooking the fish in the sauce. While it's raw, it's a modern, crudo-style interpretation inspired by puttanesca flavors and I'm a fan. I'll order it again and again. For my Secondi, I had the Risotto ai Funghi, a classic Italian dish featuring creamy arborio rice with shiitake and hen-of-the-woods (maitake) mushrooms and a hint of lemon. Served piping hot, it was rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. For dessert, I enjoyed another Reposado by Herradura. IL Premio is so much more than a steakhouse. The food is thoughtfully prepared, the atmosphere is refined, service by Janlan was excellent and it is a fitting restaurant for an outstanding hotel property.
