I give major credit to the staff for staying professional and doing their best despite the situation, but the clinic as a whole really needs to step it up with inventory. I went in as a new patient to get some much need me time with a massage and to address some weight concerns that I have. The first impression that I got from the clinic after reading some of the reviews I was a bit leery to go in, however this place came HIGHLY recommended to me by various friends and colleagues so I thought I would give it a try. I was pre-warned that the door always remains locked so I should knock and wait, it might take a bit since they are in with patients. When I arrived to the clinic I completely understood why the door remains locked at all times. Where the location is, is a bit sketchy, what I mean is that there is some transients that loiter around in the area and not to mention a dispensary is near by in the same shopping center. I don't blame them for keeping the door locked, its for the safety of the staff and the safety of the patrons. Once I was let in the young lady who opened the door and greeted me with her name and a smile I believe she said her name was Diana she was quite courteous, she apologized for having me wait outside. She asked what I was coming in for and if I had an appt. She immediately took me back told me if I had any questions or concerns to please feel free to ask for her by name or any other staff member available. She was very polite, Diana made sure that I was taken care of by the appropriate staff member. I believe was the name of the massage therapist that I saw was Sergio. He was very discreet and professional and more than anything RESPECTFUL. Sergio made sure that that I was comfortable with him before he began Sergio asked me if I had any main concerns that needed to be addressed and he answered all my questions to the best of his abilities. He took the time to make sure that I wasn't cold and ALWAYS made sure I was comfortable with him and his touch. I have to say the entire staff is pretty amazing here!!! Very attentive very professional they have definitely gained a returning customer. So it's been about a month... My Son has been here visiting for the summer! So this has been a good test to see how I would react to "normal eating" I have to say I did pretty well I still ate things that were NOT good for me but I was conscious about my intake and still limiting my portion size. I maintained eating wheat & multigrain bread and try to stay off "White" products as much as possible it was always in the back my mind for low consumption. I'm way overdue for a review. In less than six months, I'm down 25 lbs and within spitting distance of my goal weight. Now, I know some people lose more weight in less time, but I've tried the crash dieting thing on numerous occasions, and I always crash and burn. But THIS WORKS. I found La Mirada Medical Weight Control after seeing pictures from a friend's bridal shower. She, of course, looked fantastic. Me, not so much. I was 5'2" with a slight frame trying to hold up over 160 lbs. I knew something needed to change, and I knew I couldn't do it alone. LMMWC has provided me with the medical expertise, convenience, affordability, and accountability I so desperately need. Dr. Vouis, while curt, is knowledgeable and regularly available to answer any questions I might have. There are no appointments necessary, and most days, I'm in and out in 10 minutes. At $14.95 per week after the promotional period (less if you check in on Yelp, more with optional add-ons), it's no more than the price of a good lunch; I actually find I'm SAVING MONEY, since I'm less hungry and eating less anyways. Finally, having a regular, weekly (or biweekly) weigh-in with a friendly nurse keeps me on my toes and away from most of my bad eating habits. I don't lose weight every week. There are some weeks when I put a pound back on (read: Christmas) or maintain status quo. But there are weeks when I'm extremely motivated and lose 3 lbs. I'm just sharing my experience. I give 2 stars because the office staff is cool. My poor rating is based on the program, their products and lack of a dr being present. Since I started my weight loss treatment not once did I ever see a actual Doctor. It was always just the medical assistant that you will see. On top of that, they make it hard to follow treatment because they are open only during hours that people work. Then to make it worse they hours that the say they are open you'll call and no one ever answers. Its so frustrating. I was taking the most expensive shot EVERY WEEK! and the pills. I NEVER truly lost any weight. There is no support here from any actual doctor and well in all honesty I don't feel that the owner or doctor of this office cares to keep there patient's because like I said I never seen a doctor and you would think the doctor would come and meet there patient's and have some kind of connection/support with patient's. Review on service and product. Results will be reviewed after my second weigh in. I started their program almost two weeks ago. They have an awesome start up program price if you're new to the clinic. They provided me with four different packets. One is supposed to be an appeitite suppresent. It works ok, I'm always still hungry lol. Another one is supposed to be taken before a workout. I really like it I've been running the past 2-3 weeks and the pills help me sweat a lot more. I usually don't sweat and now after taking those pills i've been sweating. The third pill is taken during the evening to help crave snacks or something. I again, still get hungry. The last pills are water pills. I take them every 3rd day. Service wise, it can be better. The guy up front was pretty cool, helped me right away and after I filled out all the paperwork he told me to have a seat that someone would call me. They called my name, and instead of coming to get me, I kind of had to find my way to where the lady was calling me. Again, after she took my weight and asked questions, I had a seat outside. Again, I was called by the Doctor and had to look for his office since no one came out to get me and direct me. So if they changed that up a little then it would be a better rating. Also, they provide an email on the website, but emails are not responded back to. Parking is great lots of spaces. The location is easy to find. The office is very clean and presentable. So stay tuned, I will be reviewing this location again when I see if the pills do help with weight loss. I have been exercising more and eating better so we'll see what happens. read more

Had under active thyroid the doctor recommended a thyroid vitamin have been taking it for about a month notice a huge difference it jumpstarted my thyroid and I am feeling great. I have been coming to this place for a very long time and every stuff that I've worked with we're always amazing until now they a women name Diane that I seen I haven't worked with. for the past two visits and she is the most rudest person and no personality no customer service if you walk in there without a mask she's gonna tell you can't walk in here without a mask this is a medical building And they are a dollar if you want one. When we got into the room when I ask questions about your health she just answer the question but doesn't give no explanation of what you're asking I would never want to work with his girl again and I asked to talk to a manager and there's no manager on site. I mention what happened to a girl that has been there for many years which is a very sweet lady and she said she'll talk to her they need to know who they hire before they hire out and they need to have customer service by treating my customers the way she treated me I would never have any customers. It was bothering so much I called in to get her Diane name again because I didn't remember it. When I called a girl as were I told her what happen she put me on hold. When the person got back in the phone it was Daine. She was going off on me I told I don't need to talk to you first of all why would they put her on the phone? I was trying to talk and she was talking over me. I told her she was rude and no customer service. She said my manager name is Stephanie and I going to tell her you are threatening me and to have you remove so you won't be allowed to come back. I was what girl your the one that's going off. New Image Weight Loss Clinic on Telegraph Rd has been closed for a while so I thought why not check out this place. Walked in today around 11:30am and no one was at the front desk to greet you. I was so confused, I didn't know who to talk to or ask questions. I simply signed in and sat down, 30 minutes later. NO ONE ever called my name.. There was about 5 people in the lobby also frustrated wondering when they were gonna get called. I left and I'm not planning on going back to that place. read more

I swear the customer service here is beyond horrible. I was taking medication and felt really sick with the dosage. When i advised the staff I was advised to keep taking it until finished. Another time I received an injection and was bruised badly which of course I advised the staff and they could careless. Tonight I showed up at 6:02pm and doors were closed. I called to see if they would still take me and the grumpy older lady which has been here for years had an attitude. Asked to speak with the doctor and was hung up on. I waited till the doctor same out and advised him of my experience, he could careless. I jump on yelp and read the horrible customer service reviews. I don't know how they are still in business. The doctor is hardly ever in. The staff gives out medication which i would like to know how that is legal. I will be looking into all this.
