Trash.. .. Ordered shrimp nachos party of 5. They literally melted shredded cheese on chips in the microwave. I asked the server if I could have the shrimp cocktail instead. THE OWNER came out and rudely said you ordered it you pay for it. The server brought me the shrimp cocktail w an apology but when the bill came..... I had to pay for both... This rating is for the service. We took our family of 6 and each got the buffet. The server, Ma De Jesus P, overcharged us by $50. She also included gratuity on the bill even though management instructed her not to when it's a buffet order. When I called the restaurant, I spoke to the manager, Joey. He was very apologetic and said the bookkeeper would give me a call when she came in that day to fix the overcharge. She has not communicated to me. I have tried calling and can not get this resolved. I am very disappointed in the dishonesty of this restaurant and that they knowingly keep employees who steal from their customers. The food is delicious. If you go, play close attention to your receipt. And don't let Ma De Jesus P be your server. read more

Had gone here back in May while looking for homes considering it was going to be our new city we were moving to......the host was welcoming however my family and I were barely sitting down when our server just came up and asked if we wanted drinks no "Hi, welcome to La Mision." I figured she was just busy and had a bunch of tables but the whole time we were an inconvenience to her almost a waste of time to be sat in her section. When we were ordering she would interrupt me asking if I wanted rice and beans or none before I could finish my order. My husband had asked two food items and which one she would prefer and just responded with one simple answer nothing more. Maybe, it was an off night but our food was worse then Taco Bell (sadly). It wasn't hot and fresh it seemed like it sat under a warmer for a bit. Our margarita was watered down (not even sure if they added tequila to it at all) at this point we didn't complain we just wanted to get out of there as soon as we could. I would NOT recommend this place. I would recommend TKILAZ Mexican restaurant is 100% better food taste amazing and drinks are not watered down. The servers are friendly. read more

The restaurant is festive, relaxing, and exactly what you think of when craving Mexican food. The service was very nice. The order was taken and turned into the kitchen. Our service became negative when our server seated himself a table of ~8 & a table of 4 at the same time. The orders were taken for these tables, and my food was served first and warm. Then, the server returned with drinks, chips, salsa, for the other tables, and my husband's dinner, which was hot from a heat lamp. ****((((Additionally, I always enjoy having a hot mitt accidentally dropped on the floor, picked up, and used to grab my dinner plate and put it on the table. Wow...I had a totally different experience from the previous reviewer. We ordered a combo platter which had an enchilada, carne asada, chilie relleno, taco, rice and beans. I was really pleased with the food quality. It wasn't the best I've ever had but it was solid tex mex fare. I was disappointed that I didn't know there was a buffet. Totally would have gotten that. The waitress didn't mention it to us. And it wasn't until a few minutes after we ordered that we noticed everyone hovering around some area at the back of the restaurant. Waitresses knew a lot of the patrons which means they get a lot of regulars. They were packed at lunch and the place is super festive. It reminded me of Mi Tierra's in San Antonio. read more

I specifically asked the waiter are these enchiladas hot or spicy the waiter told me no they were not! Incompetencia/Incompetent My husband and I were out for date night tonight. The place was full but we decided to stay and I put my name on the list. The young hostess told me it would be 15 minutes for a table for two. We waited over 20 minutes and I informed her we were outside in the foyer she said we were next. I thanked her. I kept seeing other people seated thereafter more time passed. The couple that arrived after us was seated before us this was the last straw. I kindly went up and asked the hostess why were skipped and she went into defense mode, brushed me off and said it wasn't her. I tried explaining that I saw another gentleman just come over and ask table for two and they took the other couple before us. Again she disregarded my concern and told me to sit down and I would be called. I didn't yell, I wasn't rude or cursed and told her that they needed a better system because people were getting skipped. She said she didn't like how I was acting and refused to serve me. I asked for a manager. The hostess said she was the manager. The hostess said HER MOTHER OWNS THE RESTAURANT AND SHE CAN REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE! I was flabbergasted. If this is the treatment they give to patrons they won't last very long especially when they have incompetent little girls representing their business!!! This Mexican restaurant was excellent. It was quite busy even at 9:30pm. I was alone and sat at the bar which quickly filled up not long after I sat down in a section of 4 empty barstools. They asked what I was having about 10 seconds after I sat down. She cracked open my requested beer about 8 seconds after that and handed me a menu. About a minute or two into the menu I had chips and salsa in front of me. I ordered a meal and it was in front of me within 15 minutes. The meal portion was large and very good. I asked for more salsa for the chips and they had it in front of me within a minute. This restaurant is within walking distance to four Hilton brand properties, two IHG brand properties three Marriott properties, and two Choice Hotel brand properties. The map on my phone said they closed at 10pm but when I left around 9:45, the place was packed. I don't see how they would be able to close in 15 minutes. There are numerous other food options around this area and the hotels I listed above, but if you got a taste for Mexican you won't go wrong eating here. read more
