Well for the company we work for we ordered 10 bagels of egg cheese and sausage. They picture is that off a bagel on the website. It doesn't say bagel but I told him I was looking at their website. He said ok. Also they only have bacon or sausage and I asked for all ten with sausage. Well let me tell you they gave us all biscuits with all bacon no sausage at all. Don't get me wrong I love going to starbucks, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, toms coffee, and other local coffee shops; however, this location is very nice and quiet and has very helpful staff. Staff here is very professional and nice. I ordered a tres leches hot coffee with little to no sweeteners due to being type 2 diabetic and i always bring my laptop to due work or class work online. The lady was nice enough to bring me a piece of cake for free, unfortunately, today wasn't my cheat day so i had to refuse but next time i will devour it lol. My only 2 cons would be they need tea options and need wifi for laptops. 5/5 experience. Definitely coming here a lot. read more

Went a few days ago while up in LA with my boyfriend. As soon as I saw they had champurrado we ended up going. It was delicious! Especially when it was raining and windy. The ladies in cashier were super nice and helpful !. I would go again when up in LA. Next day I tried the horchata matcha with strawberry foam and it was delicious as well. You think it'll be super sweet but at least for me it wasn't, it was just right. You can forget to get a concha while sipping on coffee either. It's not super dry how some other places make it which is great they're also bite size mini conchas . They're open from 6am-8pm :) and small parking but there other places around to park. read more

Let's start off by acknowledging your customers when they walk into your property. No acknowledgment no love I looked inside the dry breakfast pastry case, and there were flies and fruit flies flying around Ask if they had any hot food and I was shown a menu on the wall. I ordered a breakfast sandwich that was immediately thrown into a microwave if the heat up. while looking in the case for something sweet, I was not surprised but shocked to find dead insects on the pastries. I pointed them out to the baker, and he gave me an attitude and told me that I didn't know what I was talking about and that it wasn't an insect... as I zoomed in on the video to show him the dead insects on his Pastry. Instead of taking the cake out of the case and throwing it away. He removed the cake and put it into his walk-in cooler only to possibly remove the Insect and re-serve the cake. This is a major health code violation. As I know in the Restaurant industry, we can't control everything, but when we do see things like this, they should immediately be taken care of and removed. 20 years in business and this is what you get. Employees with attitude an Insect infested atmosphere. Where is the health department? Where are the standards? Where is the hospitality? And now that I've walked out of there with a seven dollar sandwich in hand I don't think I'm going to eat it who knows what's behind the scenes! This panadería felt very commercialized and not at all what I was expecting. If you're looking for a small, family-owned, traditional panadería experience, this isn't it. The reviews made it sound authentic, but everything inside felt very Americanized. I understand the appeal for some people, but I was hoping for classic pan dulce -- simple pink, cream, or brown conchas -- and instead found mostly fancy, embellished versions. On top of it, I paid $8 for two orejas that were so gross. What a waste of my time and money. Overall, it was disappointing, and I honestly would've had a more traditional experience at a Northgate. Such a cute Mexican bakery and coffee shop. Was searching for a panaderia to get a "Rosca de Reyes" for "Día de Los Reyes Magos" - Epiphany day - (January 6th). I just get these wreaths of pan dulce for the fun of it as you have to find the tiny baby doll inside the sweet bread. It's covered with jewel-like candied fruits in a circular shape and is a fun tradition in Latin America. Whoever finds the baby doll is supposed to throw a tamale party. La Monarca had some freshly made and these can be hard to find! It also looks great and not piled on with too much candied fruit like some of them are. They also have gorgeous cakes (the trés leches cake looks amazing) and I had to try a breakfast burrito made with chipotle bacon. They specialize in lattes with horchata and condensed milk. La Monarca... we found it a bit overrated. The coffee was really good. We can't take that away from the spot. We had a Cafe De Olla and a Cafe Oaxaca. They didn't disappoint. The pastries were average... We wouldn't go out of our way for them but if we're around, we'll make a stop. Parking:..... they're on Sunset so I can't really hold them for having terrible parking. Came in for a quick drink in the middle of a neighborhood stroll, and was not disappointed. Cafe was empty besides one other customer, with whom the cashier Joanna was extremely kind and conversational with. She helped him while I browsed and immediately turned her attention to me once he left, she was extremely attentive. She asked about my day and we chatted about how hard it can be to find wedding cookies year round, and she gave me a gift after my purchase with some extras which i am SO GRATEFUL FOR (note: i want to return daily for more, they are so good). She also asked if I wanted cinnamon on top of my matchata and was extremely attentive when I mentioned an allergy, ensuring that the cinnamon within was alright (i can have cooked/processed, weird I know). Stopped by this place for a quick snack as we explored Hollywood. We went in for a pastry and some coffee and ended up with an entire tasting session. I had a really disappointing experience with La MONARCA Bakery. I placed an online order the night before for a specific cake--vanilla with fresh fruit--to be picked up the next morning at 6:30 AM. This cake was meant to celebrate my boss, our school principal's, birthday. She loves fruit, and I chose this flavor specifically with her in mind. When I arrived, not only was the cake not ready, but I was casually asked if it was okay to just take a different cake. Absolutely not. The point of ordering ahead--especially for something special--is to get exactly what was requested. Needless to say, I canceled my order and went to a more reliable bakery nearby. Not only did they have a similar cake available, but they had it ready for me in under 2 hours. La MONARCA, if you offer online ordering, the least you can do is make sure the order is actually fulfilled. Literally years of driving and walking by them going back to when I lived a few minutes away I finally stopped in this past Saturday afternoon for a latte and a few snacks. Loved their flan and almond cookies. Customer service was friendly though they only had one server for a busy day. So things took a while. Got their tres leches latte and it was delicious. Their selection of goods looked amazing and their space is nice. They do have customer parking but it's very limited. Overall, I highly recommend for a good cup of Joe and a treat. I'm going to update my review as my experience has changed. Every time I see Lety at the bakery, I know I will be helped in a kind and quality manner. But Lety is not always there, which is sad. She greets customers with a smile and she seems like she cares. I bought 2 burritos this week, the first one was significantly small from the normal size, as these burritos are 8 dollars, it's only decent to keep a standard size. This morning I got a green salsa burrito, and although my tortilla was warm, the filling was extremely cold, like just taken out of the refrigerator.
