Any positive reviews these guys have must be fake because they are truly horrible! I don't have much to say except if you hire this company, either follow each worker or make sure to review your cameras afterwards. They stole the stupidest and smallest things from dresser drawers in addition to some expensive tools from the garage. We contacted the police but was more trouble than it was worth. read more

Today was the worst moving experience of my life. And I've moved a lot plus I'm an interior designer so I deal with moving all the time. First of all, they called me to confirm the time and I was ready for them to arrive. Then they call me to say their truck died. So then I'm like ok... what's the solution and the guy literally said to go back on Yelp and find another moving company that same day. After getting all mad, they finally found a new truck. Then they arrive. It seems like this is gonna all work out after the heart attack they gave me. And they go missing for 45 to 50 mins. That's cool, take your break. But at least tell me. Don't leave me waiting around. While I'm waiting one of the guys starts asking me personal questions and telling me about his girlfriend???!!! Like ok... whatever, we are almost at the home stretch and they say they are done and leave. I realize my tv is missing. I rug down and they brought it in. Also, my bed was all loose. There's also a massive scratch on the floor. Pictures shown. Do yourself a favor and don't ever hire this company. There was only 1 guy out of the 3 that was professional. The other two were either super stoned or have no experience. They gave me a $60 refund for the giant scratch but idk where some of my items are and my old building manager informed that they left things in my old elevator... the mistakes continue to pile up. read more

Great experience with last weekend's move. When researching moving companies and opting for the Yelp service of allowing several to solicit my business via direct messages, I immediately gravitated towards LA Moving Pros due to prompt replies (from Oscar) + the quotes were significantly lower than others. What I also appreciated was how Oscar was transparent about how they're a fairly new company (so not as many reviews as others) so trying to amp up their reputation. My requested job was fairly easy: moving within the same apt complex between floors, from a studio to a 1BR. No truck was needed, and I had reserved an elevator to help ease the move. The minimum 3 hour job felt more than enough, and after a few communications with Oscar a couple did require me having to prompt a re-confirmation/re-issuing of quote with the right address info), I chose them as my moving company. Well, my procrastinating self was a mess when the 2 guys arrived, 30min early. I was stressed as I hadn't packed up my closet, bed area, or kitchen. But both were super supportive and chill, especially Matt (who was the clear leader of the 2, down to his LA Moving Pros t-shirt), who immediately had the foresight given my situation that a wardrobe box would help make things go faster with hauling lots of stuff between apts. So off he went to fetch one, stills staying within my official start time of 10am. Also, when it came to maneuvering tricky, large furniture, or having to dissemble and reassemble my bed frame for moving purposes...he was able to handle with ease. He and Oscar (not sure if it was the same Oscar T. I had been e-mailing,) were both great: friendly but focused on the job. For the type of move I requested (did not require much special care besides a few big key furniture pieces), this was perfect. After I gave the green light I just needed things hauled and not necessarily organized, they obliged. They packed/unpacked my closet, packed my kitchen, moved all boxes into an area of my request, etc....all at my request. Who would have thought I had THIS much stuff in a studio apartment and was utterly unprepared...so I ended up running 2 hours over, but not after they said it was completely up to me whether I wanted them to stay, as they were flexible for the day. A job well done; I'd definitely use them again. Do better than I did and come prepared when they arrive...have boxes boxed, or specific instructions on what needs to be handled a certain way vs. more carelessly as I had to make those decisions live, when it was game time (oops!). If you do that, the move will surely go faster than mine did. Also, if there is something they need to be very careful with, make sure to specify that. read more

They moved over 20 boxes in 20 mins but then we're goofing off with the furniture. it shouldn't take 3 hours to load a two bedroom home with 4 men when it took 3 hours for the whole job previously with 3. I'm telling you they purposely went slow as I had a loading doc and private elevator at my first apartment . The kicker is when I told them nah I'm not paying the snapped and unloaded my stuff in 45 mins. Such a scam. Then didn't even put the items back to place. Left wraps and blankets on. My boyfriend and I used LA Moving Pros to move out of our apartments and into a new one together. The guys were great! We almost didn't hire movers because of COVID (and because neither of us have ever used movers before), but I'm so glad that we did! We had 3 movers and they brought plenty of supplies (blankets, saran wrap, tape, and extra boxes) to move all of our items. They were extremely fast and finished in the amount of time quoted, despite having to deal with summertime heat and driving between the Westside, South Central, and the Valley. Nothing was damaged, which is impressive given that we had a huge glass dining table and a couple of TV's and computer monitors. They also wore masks and maintained distance when possible, which we appreciated due to the pandemic. To be fully honest, there were times when one or two of them let it slip and took a minute to secure it back in place. I blame that on their hard work though, because they truly were moving as fast as possible. I'm sure that if I had said something, they would have been more cautious, but I felt that they were trying their best. read more

The movers were kind, friendly, and professional. At one point the ottoman was knocked over and struck the TV that was already wrapped in the living room. I had hoped that maybe it missed and just continued on with the move as I was going out of town the next day. When I returned from the business trip I hung the TV and plugged it in. Unfortunately, the LCD was shattered. I have reached out to LA Moving Pros Twice via the email we communicated on before the move with no response. I was hoping to have the issue resolved/addressed before posting the review, but nothing. We are also missing a box of cookware. I guess they are the lowest cost for a reason. read more

LA Moving Pros - Damage done to living room TV during move - Movers Near Me

Super polite, hard working, and communicative but they cracked my TV in transit. They helped me move in two months ago and I chose them because they were the most price competitive option in LA. I wanted to leave a 5 star review after they finished moving my 2 bed 2 bath apartment to my new home a couple blocks away as the owners were extremely courteous, checked in with me frequently, and came back promptly after their lunch break. But based off the crack on my TV, it seems like it wasn't packed properly in the truck and while the move was around $700, my TV costed $750. While they were careful in the physical handling of it and covered it with blankets, I don't think it was wedged between two taller objects and a shorter sharp object likely hit in transit. They were only able to offer basic insurance coverage of $0.50/lb and compensated me $50 for my loss. I would recommend them if you have inexpensive items and need furniture assembly and reassembly. They were the only ones who didn't charge a flat packaging fee and furniture dissemble was included. They were troopers the entire day, working hard to move all my items out quickly and even packed for me. I had several heavy items like my fridge and queen frame but they never complained. But if you have fragile items, I would move in your own vehicle in advance. read more

I had a great experience with this company. They had a very competitive bid and good communication. I received a text saying when the truck would arrive so we could be ready. They arrived a couple minutes after the scheduled time, but the communication made it a non issue. Matt was in charge of my job. He ran his crew really well, worked very quickly and efficiently. The front doors to my place are challenging, and Matt knew how to pivot and get furniture in and out in the best way. His experience and expertise probably saved a lot of time. Hired La Moving Pros to move my 4 bedroom 2 bath house to a new place. It was a complicated move as the house we were moving too wasn't empty. We were 90% packed and mostly in all boxes but not totally. Moving day went well, and the crew were on time, hard working, careful, and even fun to work with. We had to go back for a second pickup, and some of the crew had to leave after that, but they adjusted the price for the hours of a smaller crew, and the remain crew continued to work hard for during a very full day. I was skeptical that the cheapest service provider would be quality, but these guys really impressed. LA Moving pros did a huge move locally for my family and we started around 9am and finished past 10pm. They took a ~45 minute "lunch" at around 4:30pm but otherwise worked steady without me having to badger them to stay active. I was impressed how frequently they asked me what they wanted me to do or when given good direction worked autonomously to get the job done. Moving is a lot of work! And we had packed maybe about 70% of our home before they arrived, and they helped pack the remaining items and secured fragile items and furniture professionally. If there is a way to give zero stars, I would 100 times over. Here is a laundry list of things that contributed to this review. THEY ARE SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND WILL TAKE 3 TIMES LONGER THAN QUOTED! 1) They quoted us 4 hours to move a 900 sq. foot apartment into a condo 15 miles away. It took 11 hours for their guys to move us. We had absolutely everything packed and in the living room for easy access, and we didn't even have them take any boxes to particular rooms. We just wanted them to hurry up and get out. 2) They were 1 hour 45 minutes late. They said their truck broke down. We were totally cool with that until we realized they would be still moving us at 9:00pm. 3) We paid for 3 guys but one of the guys was an "emergency hire" and moved at a snail's pace. At one point, he literally carried a paper towel roll from the house to the truck. That's it! Just one paper towel roll. He dropped furniture. He kept taking things to the truck that the other two guys had to take back out and unpack. My husband had to tell them four times to wrap the glass from one of our pieces of furniture. He would disappear and just sit on his phone in the truck. He had never moved a day in his life. It took the other two guys 10 times longer to do anything because the third guy didn't know what he was doing. To be honest - one of the guys on the team was pretty good, but you are only as good as your weakest link. BTW - my husband helped them load the truck the entire time. Could you imagine how long it would have taken otherwise? 4) We called the owner at 4:24pm on the Sunday we moved because the truck had yet to arrive at the condo to start unpacking. He never called us back. We finally told the head mover that things were taking way too long and they said they could knock off $60. $60 off a $1300 bill when we were quoted $550? We didn't even have enough cash to pay them. We had to put $300 on a credit card because never in our wildest dreams did we think it would take that long. In retrospect, we should have told them to invoice us, so we could have had a conversation with the owner before paying - not that that would have helped because he is worthless. 5) The next day, I called the owner again to talk about what happened and figure out how he could make it right. He ignored my call. I had to call again and tell him I was about to write a yelp review for him to take 5 minutes to call me back. He was unapologetic and said too bad. He said they'd do just fine with my bad review and go ahead and write it. He said I should have said something before the service was done. I did... I called him... he didn't call back. He said his office hours end at 4:00pm on weekends. Oscar is literally an infuriating person. To top it all off - one of the guys used our master bathroom toilet and didn't flush! Who does that? I'd rather give another company 10 times as much money to do half the work than ever have come in contact with LA Moving Pros. We wanted to help out a small local business during the pandemic. Next time, I will hire someone professional. These are kids with a Uhaul. Not professional movers. read more

PROS: -- Easy to book -- Responded quickly -- Showed up on time, with the equipment they said they'd have CONS: -- Items could have been packed in truck more carefully: We had some damage to (luckily not very important) items which were crammed/squashed between other items. -- There were some "hidden" costs (double drive time, supplies costs) that made the total cost higher than the quoted $119 per hour. We started at 10AM and ended at 5:30PM. The movers took 30 minutes for lunch, so that was 6 hours. At $119/hour that should have been $720. However, with the added fees, it ended up being about $940, or approx. $157/hour. That's still less expensive than many of the other move quotes we received, but it was a little bit of a surprise at the end of a long, hot day. read more

Loved our experience with LA Moving Pros. We had 3 guys helping us, Victor, Jeff and Knight. They communicated very well with us and moved us to a third floor apartment with no elevator in less than 5 hours including loading and some furniture wrapping, drive time and unloading . They all wore masks the entire time and were very friendly. None of our stuff was broken or damaged they quickly wrapped some of our furniture and TVs and put boxes in the right rooms at the new location. Would definitely use them again! read more

They were late, had a third emergency hire who was slow and caused the main two guys to continuously stop and train him. Took 6 extra hours over what I was quoted and I literally watched this third guy drop my furniture in the middle of street and afterward carry the lightest thing he could possibly hold. Literally watched him carry a paper towel holder from the truck to my house. Tried calling the owner to complain, but he never called back. I'll never hire these guys again. Victor and Matt did a great job, got everything on the truck in a short time, unloaded at new place, I think the biggest thing that slowed anything down was waiting on the elevator. most of it was already boxed and more or less ready to go, they sorted stuff evenly, made efficient trips, and took care of my stuff, made sure everything was wrapped well and secure. read more
