Does this happen with moving blankets? Or eyeballs?

I want to formally document the issues with my move and the unacceptable service I received. From the beginning, I was very clear about what needed to be moved and specifically discussed protecting my vintage, custom, recently refurbished dresser. I even asked about moving blankets beforehand. Despite that conversation, no blanket was used, and now every side of the dresser is chipped and scratched. Your crew also: * Took approximately 2.5 hours just to load a fridge, couch bed, and bed frame. 3 hours and 15 minutes to load all together. It's a 600 sq ft 1 bedroom apartment. * Left the refrigerator water hose connected and leaking when disconnecting it, despite it being a simple shut-off valve. * Took 48 minutes to drive 2.7 miles, a drive that normally takes about 17 minutes even in heavy traffic. * Left multiple large items and storage boxes behind while falsely claiming the move was essentially complete except for "a few pots." This was a 600 sq ft one-bedroom apartment. There is no reasonable explanation for "missing" several storage boxes in the middle of the room and multiple large furniture pieces approximately 6-8 feet tall. On top of that, your crew admitted they "ran out of room" on the truck for a one-bedroom apartment, which is completely unacceptable and shows poor planning at best. When I raised concerns, instead of taking accountability, I was told I should "watch them move next time so they don't forget anything." That response was dismissive, unprofessional, and insulting. At this point, I consider the damages, incomplete move, and misrepresentation of the completed job extremely serious. I expect a response addressing: 1. The damage to my dresser and furniture. 2. The items left behind. 3. Compensation/refund for the incomplete and negligent service. I have photos, documentation, and a full timeline of the move. Footage from multiple ring cameras along with personal video. After initially responding with a vague statement that "the owners will send something, maybe an hour of service off" and asking for my Venmo information, communication completely stopped. It has now been over 24 hours with no Venmo payment, no follow-up, and no further response from anyone involved. Additionally, there now appears to be an attempt to hide who and where the crew works, which obviously did not work. Spent the beginning of my holiday weekend with calling in favors, getting a truck for the rest of my things, a moving blanket, and a flat bed rolling dolly for my plants. What a lazy incompetent company these people have. DO NOT HIRE THEM!!! THEY'RE THIEVES!! P.s if you did hire them, and you're missing some things, contact me. They unloaded someone else's stuff with my stuff file with BBB and FMCSA. So others don't go through this scam.

    Storage, more

David and his team, Chris, & Sean were amazing. We hired them at the last minute and they worked with me. I was told the fee up front including the rate for additional hours. They arrived, I showed them my place, and they started to bring my things downstairs. They were quick and very professional. Upon arrival to my new storage location, they unloaded and stacked my things accordingly. Quick and painless. Will definitely hire them again.

Conversation after cracked monitor (Part 1)

I am going to try to be as unbiased as possible and just tell you about my experience. I contacted David on Craigslist regarding the move and he quoted me a very competitive price for a 3-hour move from a 2 bedroom apartment to another. They did not require a deposit. On the day of the move, David and Robert showed up. They were punctual and communicated well throughout the day via text. They arrive and moved super quickly. This is where the problems start. If you box your stuff up well and pack it well, it'll probably be fine, more on this later. However, things that are not boxed may not fare so well. We let them do their thing and move things into their box truck. On the way down, they were moving our coffee table (obviously not boxed) and as they turn the corner I see them run it into the corner of the building. It got scratched, I didn't say anything, it's a used coffee table with pre-existing scratches, whatever. They were courteous and quick. They were honest about their pricing, with no hidden fees. I paid in cash as they requested and I ended up tipping a good amount because I thought they did a great job in addition to providing food/drink as necessary and a refill on their Starbucks since it was hot out. Fast forward a few days. I go to bring out my ultrawide computer monitor as I'm getting settled at my new apartment and as soon as I open the original manufacturer box, I see a crack in the top left corner. I go to contact David and tell him about the situation and politely ask if anything can be done about this since free insurance is provided. He replies "We did not crack that no way" and that "If packed by owner there's nothing that can be done." Honestly, that is reasonable, especially with insurance since they're stringent about claims. But what's getting to me is the fact that there is no responsibility being taken, no sense of remorse nothing. I carefully packed this into the original packaging which comes through a carrier across the ocean and into the United States where protective foam envelops the entire monitor which is covered in other protective materials; it even survived in the hands of UPS (which I'm sure you've seen at least one news story on how some of them can treat their packages), but somehow failed to make it less than 4 miles up the road. All I know is that there was no damage prior to the move, but after the move, there was. You can be the judge of what happened. Personally, I knew I should have moved it myself along with my TV (which made it in perfect condition, of course) and I'm kicking myself for not doing so. After seeing what happened to my other belongings though, I can't say I'm surprised this happened. Regardless, I would still recommend Dave's company if you're trying to move less valuable items. If your cardboard boxes can take a bump, a drop or two, or ten, then their pricing really can't be beaten. They're super quick, courteous, and communicative unless they break some of your stuff, then you may just be left on read with a bill to foot. Just be sure to move your own valuables that are fragile that you don't want to risk being damaged and not being covered; $1000 lesson learned, on top of the cost of the move. Lastly, I wholeheartedly believe that the key to running a successful business such as this is to keep a good impression for customers over earning maximum profits per day. It's been proven time and time again that in the long run, customer retention earns the most and results in the most success. And that means sometimes you have to involuntarily dip into your profits, but see it as an investment. If the service is good and doesn't leave a bad taste in the customer's mouth, then the customer is much more likely to recommend it to their friends and family, subsequently leading to natural growth, otherwise the business will just gather first time (and last time) customers leaving the company with more work to find more customers. Just something to consider.

This is what they thought was good enough for moving heavy appliances down 2 flights of stairs

Showed up several hours later than scheduled, and with 2 guys and thrashed equipment rather than the 3 who were paid for. Third guy eventually showed up. Of the 3, only one spoke English well enough to comprehend instructions. Time and time again they kept attempting to move and/or load things I specifically told them were not included in the move. It quickly became clear they were trying everything to extend the time it took. The dolly they brought not only wasn't an appliance dolly (I told them there were several appliances to be moved down the stairs), but the dolly they did bring was literally broken. I witnessed several hours of utter incompetence and had to troubleshoot process for them multiple times because they couldn't do simple things like figure out how to get a refrigerator out of the house door, instead choosing to stand around and argue amongst themselves until I stepped in and showed them what to do. This happened more than one time. In the end, I had to tell them to stop what they were doing, take what was already loaded to the new house, and then my wife and I rented a truck and did the rest ourselves. These people are incompetent. I won't hire them again or EVER recommend them to anyone. These are not professional movers. These are jackasses with a truck.

I had to take some time and decide on if I wanted to leave a review or not. I decided to go ahead and leave a review just so people can be aware based on my most recent experience. This was my second time using this company. Fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice, shame on me. The first time I use them the movers arrived 2 1/2 hours late but I didn't have anywhere to be besides moving. I was frustrated but whatever they got the job done and nothing was damaged. So I decided to use them again this time. They arrive 15 minutes late at 9:15am wasn't so bad but this time I did have the Internet company scheduled to come to my new place. My last move took five hours and I only had two men so this time I hired three movers to make sure the job was done in a timely manner. 1. I'm not sure what the problem was but somehow the same two bedroom one bathroom type move with the same distance drive took seven hours! With an extra man!!! How is that possible? It took two additional hours with extra help. I got rid of a couple of the items that I had previously so I had less furniture that needed to be taken apart and put back together. I was way more prepared this time and had everything boxed up neatly and packed. Last time I was way unprepared and even had some of my bags burst. But somehow this time it took seven hours even though I had more help. 2. After everything was said and done we were nice enough to feed them. They finished at 4:15 and we fed them so instead of them leaving at 4:15 they left at 4:38. The company actually had the nerve to charge me an extra $40 for the 23 minutes of eating that their movers did. If anything I should have been discounted for them being late and still being nice enough to feed the movers. 3. We have three TVs, a 65 inch, a 42 inch, and a 40 inch. For whatever strange reason one of them thought it was a nice idea to get a screwdriver and remove the bottom stand from our 42 inch TV. Somehow between leaving the other apartment and getting to the new apartment that bottom stand came up missing. Mind you I did a thorough check before leaving the other apartment to make sure nothing was left behind. My house is completely unpacked. So they either kept it on the truck, broke it and failed to tell me, or threw it away with some of their other take away stuff. As I'm writing this review it's starting to make more sense to me now why they put that TV in my closet when they were putting stuff down. Almost as if they didn't want me to notice it until after they were gone. It was laying against the wall of my bedroom closet behind some other boxes. After numerous ignored messages and phone calls to the company I was finally asked to contact the driver. Now first of all I did not book the services through the driver, I booked them through the shoreline moving company. So any issues should be handled through the company and not the driver. But either way I decided to contact the driver and after more numerous ignored messages and phone calls I was finally given a different number because that phone number was actually another company that actually hired the driver. And of course I've been getting ignored again. I moved on September 3 and now here we are September 13 and the situation has still not been resolved. I have sent an Amazon link to where it only cost $35 to buy a universal stand so that we can actually use our 42 inch TV again. And the response I get is that they will only pay me $0.60 per pound. So having said all this and after my first experience I will never use this company again nor refer anyone. The only reason I did give them three stars is because outside of this, the rest of my belongings did get delivered safely and without damage. But this is the worst customer service ever. I should have not been overcharged and at minimum should have been offered my $40 overpayment back and some type of compensation for my TV stand other than $.60 per pound. Beware and use them at your own risk. Oh and I almost forgot to add that we are in the middle of a pandemic and I lost count of how many times I had to tell one of the movers to please keep his mask on. I understand that they were moving and it can be comfortable but you are handling our personal belongings and breathing heavily all over our things. It's your job and if the paying customer asked you politely to please keep your mask on while handling their personal belongings you should respect that.

Great movers! They moved quickly and efficiently and took great care of my things -the movers I had packed and wrapped anything I hadn't already -please see my photos of my sofa! Even smaller things ( as in small foldable mini tables that had a glass top) the guy put a cardboard in front of it and taped it up so well -in a matter of seconds! Very quick and strong movers, very nice and helpful in every way! And the rate was perfect! So many other moving companies overcharge in my opinion and do a less than stellar job. They got everything done on time for me! I unfortunately cannot remember the names of my movers , but you can ask the company for the movers Stephanie Walker used on December 1, 2023!

    Carlos continued.. un professional

AVOID DAVID ROBLES AND SHORELINE MOVING COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! All positive reviews from this place are friends and family, DO NOT BE FOOLED! They quote you a price and say 2 movers will show up and only send 1 mover and claim you told them 1 would be ok. They send out a contractor, Carlos, who complains and throws tantrums during move; and they do not take any responsibility for him driving his truck through a gated property and destroying the gate arm leaving us responsible to pay. Extremely unprofessional text messages. Demands more money than quoted because it wasn't a 1 man job. Carlos decided he wasn't going to finish the move and left items behind. When the owner of the company, David Robles was made aware of the problems, he resorted to radio silence and not responding to the issue. BY FAR the worst moving company you could choose. GO WITH A REAL COMPANY THAT CARES ABOUT DOING GOOD WORK. Stay far far away from these "movers!" Text exchanges with the mover and his boss David. A JOKE

There's not enough stars to rate how amazing Mission Movers is…read more This was our first time ever hiring movers so we didn't know what to expect. Pricing was very transparent. Jeremiah's communication heading into the move was excellent and Mike and his team arrived right in the window they said they would. As soon as I gave them the rundown of the place, they wasted ZERO time and got straight to work - all the way until the last item was carried into the new place. Heading into this move, I was worried about taking apart our bed frames and putting them back together. Mission Movers took care of it at no extra cost. But the biggest thing for me is how friendly and HONEST the team was. One of my dining chairs was already cracked before the move and they approached me and apologized for thinking they did it. That small gesture went a long way for me and I know they were going to find a solution even if it was their fault. They also could've charged me for a full 4 hours but charged me to the exact minute they worked at 3.75 hours. Not to mention it was also a really hot day and they powered through it without a single complaint. My wife and I have said several times that we don't know how we would've done it without Mission Movers. I know exactly who I'm hiring for any of my future moves. 10/10 experience! PS: don't forget to tip your movers!!! These guys weren't expecting it and they were so grateful - it only made me wish I had more to give.
