This is a weird establishment. I visited on Thursday afternoon. Out of 4 nail technicians present only one knew how to do a full sets and rebase. Prices are not posted. A basic pedicure cost $60 plus tip. Multiple technician cannot speak English ar all!! They can only point and genture to communicate. I recommend that people go to another salon. read more

This place is not good for customer service at all. When you walk in they don't even greet you. I left my 14yrs old niece to do her nails and they took more than 2 1/2 hours. Also the price was ridiculous expensive for something that was not out of this world. When I asked her to ask how much, the guy said $170!!!! I was in shock cause that was not worth that at all. He then wanted to remove the flower he placed in one finger , also he didn't even finish. I don't know if he was taking advantage of her or not but I will never be going there again. I wish I can give more stars because I left with beautiful nails. However, my dip polish didn't keep for much longer than a week. There are a few chopped nails and lifting on a few as well. The atmosphere was good and the service was okay. There was an incident with a customer that had been there a week prior and her nails were lifting and needed to come off - I should have paid closer attention. My partner and I go here all the time. We love it! We are both bartenders in town and always on our feet. If one of us go by ourselves they always ask about the other. Please believe me when I say this place is horrible!!! Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!!! I used to get my nails done here for a while, but things got worse and worse to the point that I got the worst and most painful nail infection ever! They will cut you very bad! You'll bleed and they will make you go put your hands under cold water to make the bleeding stop, without even apologizing! You can't do that!!! First of all, it's not hygienic, second of all, it hurts!!!! I honestly think they were doing it on purpose because I was trying to pull my hand every time she was cutting me and she was holding it strongly so I won't be able to do so. Oh My God!!! A week later my fiancé proposed to me and I couldn't take pictures of the ring because of the bad nail infections! Horrible!!! Horrible!!! Horrible!!! Another friend of mine got a very bad nail fungus there that she almost lost her nail (literally!), she went to the doctor and got treatment. Don't go there!!! Don't do this to yourself!!! I got the best mani/pedi of my life here. A slender man who sang softly every so often (so wish I'd gotten his name) gave me the most thorough pedicure ever. I tend to get ingrown nails, and he took care of them deftly. My cuticles were perfectly handled, and my red polish is flawless on every nail. Truly great work. This is my first mani/pedi since moving to Key West, and it was exceptional. Also, at $45 for the two services, it was extremely affordable. So I walked in here waiting after 5 other ladies, so I expected them to be good if they were so busy. Totally wrong. No greeting when I walked in, no hospitality, nothing. I had called earlier asking if they had a particular service and they said yes, so when I walked in I asked the same question to make sure they had the type of service I wanted. They told me yes, they did. Come to find out after an hour of waiting and being ignored, while she was ripping my gel polish OFF of my nails.......she told me they didn't do what I wanted. So after all of that, I left with no polish or anything. So upset. Would not recommend this place to anyone who enjoys their manicures. read more

Worst place ever!!! Do not go if you appreciate good customer service, because LA nails has the worst customer service I have ever received at a nail salon!!! I am a biweekly gel manicure with regular pedicure customer who happened to be in Key West when my manicure/pedicure were due, so I tried LA nails. Big mistake... it took 2.5 hours for a gel manicure and regular pedicure because of poor organization and the nails stylist (who was different from the person that did my pedicure) kept picking on the side of my pinky finger with the cuticle cutter until I bled ( couldn't have had that much extra skin when I just did my nails 2 weeks before!) and didn't even apologize! Also, she could not do a decent job at filing my nails despite my multiple attempts at explaining- I ended up filing my own nails!!! 5 days later one of my nails chips, so I go to have it redone. I'm told I have to wait for the manicurist that did my nails, otherwise I would Have to pay for the repair. Once done, another stylist (who was my stylist's husband) approaches me as I'm nearing the door to inform me that they have a 3 day policy for repairs. I tell him that I am surprised since gel nail polish is supposed to last at least 2 weeks, and his response is, "I don't know what you did in these 5 days, next time you can go to Amazing Nails- who we are associated with." So, I ask him if he is telling me to take my business somewhere else and he again says, "you can go to Amazing nails that we are associated with." Came in at 3:00PM Sunday October 18th. to get my nails done. Girl with black hair and an accent didn't even say hello said "can I help you?" With an attitude. Told her I'm here to get a manicure she said "ok hold on" I sat down and within a sec she said "we re closed." I asked her to repeat what she said because either A. She thinks I'm freakin stupid since there were literally 5 other people in there and their Yelp said closes at 6pm. Or B. She's that horrible at customer service that she would rather turn someone down becomes she doesn't feel like working than to actually give me the 20 min manicure. Horrible attitude horrible person. I literally looked around at all the people and then back at her and asked "you're closed?" And she said yes. So I just walked out. I'll take my business elsewhere thanks! If I was the owner I wouldn't think twice about getting rid of someone like that get someone that would actually want to bring you business and do their job. I had my nails and toes done today. Let me first start out by saying Lena (the owner) rushed my nails and messed up my eyebrows. She took an entire chunk of my eyebrows off! Got a recommendation to go to LA Nails. Big mistake. I asked for a manicure and pedicure and told them I wanted gel polish for my nails. The 1st lady did my feet then she sent me to another lady to do my nails. A guy there had given me 2 bottles of polish. I assumed one was for my feet and the other was for my nails. Before the lady was to polish my nails, I asked her if that was gel polish? She said "oh, I didn't know you wanted gel polish." I told her what # of color I had picked out. She couldn't find it. So the guy that gave me the 2 bottles of polish before came over and found it. The only problem was there wasn't enough to polish my nails. The lady started searching for a color to match my toe polish. By then, I was completely frustrated with the total lack of communication I just let her pick a color. It really didn't match my toes but I was just ready to get out of there. I won't be going back there again. read more
