The staff is forever changing and the appointments are never consistent. I've gone in multiple times and my appt wasn't in the book and not appts available for days. You can finally get in and they run late or it takes so long to get your nails done. I've been trying for four weeks since my last appt. And no response back. I was made a pedicure appt and they cancelled the hour before claiming the person wasn't feeling good and would message me back with reschedule and no one has yet to get back to me. Hillary fit me in the night before Thanksgiving with a 5:45pm appointment. Her work ethic is impressive and she is truly a delight. You would never know this adorable lounge existed as it is in the back of a building that has a few other businesses in it. Once you go up the stairs just follow the signs, which lead you down a couple of corridors, then you will see a brightly colored door with CAYO on it. Go through that and up the stairs and you can immediately feel the warm vibe she has created. I also love that she was very neat with the color. I booked a couples massage at SpaTerre for 9 AM on Monday, April 28th, as part of my 30th birthday…read morecelebration. Unfortunately, the night before, I experienced a sudden allergic reaction, likely due to something I ate at dinner. My face swelled up, and I developed severe eye irritation and drainage. Despite hoping the reaction would subside with medication, I woke up feeling worse and knew I wasn't in any condition to receive -- or enjoy -- a $375 massage. I was aware of SpaTerre's 24-hour cancellation policy and had a friend contact them by both phone and email as soon as it was clear I wouldn't be able to attend. The staff accepted the cancellation but informed us that a refund would not be possible due to the policy. Later, I followed up directly and explained the situation to the manager. I hoped for a spa credit or more flexibility, especially given the medical nature of the cancellation and the fact that I visit Key West regularly. Unfortunately, I was told the most they could offer was a discount on a future service. While I understand the need for cancellation policies, I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility or empathy in this situation. Emergencies happen, and I had hoped for a more compassionate response. For that reason, I'm hesitant to rebook with SpaTerre, even at a discounted rate.
