We love La Napolera! The whole place is run by Latin/Hispanic folks. Nothing better than going in a restaurant of any ethnic cuisine knowing the staff is of that nationality! The food is incredible, the service always great! The margaritas are so yummy!!! I 150%!recommend this amazing Mexican restaurant!!! Ohh and the chips and salsa, and the queso is excellent! Love coming here! The customer service here is always on point! Everyone there, from the waiters, to severs and bartenders are always in such a happy positive mood. I've sent dishes back before because after having a few margaritas, I forgot to tell them to leave onions out of my dishes since I unfortunately can't eat them. They have taken it back with no problem without making me me feel like I was of inconvenience. They are always so accommodating. Not to mention the cheap prices here for good Mexican food and cheap drinks here in little Richmond Hill. Don't bother going to the generic Mexican place like Jalapeños, come here instead. This is a Mexican food franchise, but not your ordinary franchise. We have eaten at the Beaufort, SC, Lady's Island SC, Richmond Hill, GA, and Savannah, GA. They are all GREAT!!!! We've found that we like the Savannah restaurant the best. Don't get me wrong they are ALL good, but Savannah just seems better to us. The Steak Parmesano is my absolute go to dish. We've been to all the other "Mexican" places around Pooler, but this is the BEST!!!! read more

We had a decent chicken burrito and chicken enchilada. The taco was a little small but ok. The mex mex guacamole was good but not a very large portion. Chips were warm and the salsa was average. All in all a decent experience. I would return to try other combos. read more

I was so excited that I almost expected the same energy but walking in, changed it. Hence my rating. I ordered the taquitos, they were good and the salsa was fresh, the chips were still warm when I mad with home, admirable. Overall this place seems decent. COVID-19 Review - This Restaurant does not appear to be following social distancing guidelines. La Nopalera is the closest Mexican restaurant to us but we don't go there very often as the food is just OK and they could use a renovation. We decide to go when some friends who have been enjoying their food for a number years suggested we go there for dinner. We decided to go for the company as we have a few standby selections that are pretty good. We arrived together and the hostess originally wanted to seat us at a small booth and we expressed an interest for one of their round booths as they have a more room. She skipped over one and sat us right next to another couple in a booth who had recently been seated. Note - There were other circular booths available and we should have asked to move to them as the couple then asked to move to another booth. They shifted down to another booth three down from us that would block up other booths due to their new location (spacing did not make sense with other tables). We ordered some margaritas (they do have a great special on them and they are good) and they brought us two bowls of chips and two salsas (a good pandemic practice ). They took awhile to get our orders in and by then they had another group seated at a table next to us and eventually in the booth the first couple vacated! We were surrounded which would have been fine normally.... Food 3.5 - I had the chicken fajitas (which were fine) and they serve large portion Jo had the shredded beef and chicken Parmesan chimichanga which she enjoyed. The food for me was good but not great. Margaritas were good and at a great price! Service 1.5 They were slow to get our order. COVID seating a disaster. I had a water refill that turned out to be diet Sprite and Jo had to ask for her first tea a couple times.... Atmosphere 2 - Its dark with heavy wood furniture that really needs a refresh as the restdoesn't feel clean. Price 3.5. The .5 is for the margaritas, the rest is average for the area from a value perspective even with large servings. OA - Normally they are 3-3.5. COVID score 1.5-2. This is the best Mexican food in Richmond Hill. The food is always great, the prices are what you'd expect at most Mexican places, but the service at times lacks. Stay away on a Friday night, you won't get a seat, and they fall behind because of the crowds. Any other time, you'll love this place. read more

This place is nothing like the other La Nopalera restaurants. The food is down right bad!! The steak, chicken and shrimp was cook so hard it wasn't safe to eat. Had lunch here on a Monday alone. The service was slow but polite when seating. There were multiple radios playing between the ambient music, the kitchen and the bar.....a bit overwhelming on the ears. I ordered the lunch chimichanga, with come with a guacamole salad ($6) well priced. The food was tabled just as I was getting sick of the chips and wanting my chimichanga, perfect timing. The chimichanga was very flavorful but not crispy as expected from a fried tortilla. The fried tortilla bowl the guacamole salad cam on was stale, but the salad hit the spot with the chimichanga. I would come back here but with the new found expectation that I'm going to eat great food for the "price"....can't beat $6 to fill you up for lunch. read more

Yesterday, my wife and I had a disaster of a lunch. I ordered Queso Fundido con Chorizo for our chips and salsa which came hot, but thankfully with a spoon as it was quite liquid. I was happy that the salsa was served in a larger bowl. For lunch, we ordered the Speedy Gonzales, another taco, and a Taco Salad. When it arrived, the taco on the Speedy Gonzalez was sitting down in the refried beans so that I had to pry it off the plate with a knife and fork. I attempted to eat it with my fingers, but had to end up putting it back on the plate and using the utensils to cut and finish. My wife started eating the Taco Salad, but found that the bottom half was soupy. We asked the waitress, but she blew us off saying it was just because of the beef and beans. We tried to drain off the moisture, but it had just turned into slop which was inedible. The "Crispy" flour tortilla was soaked! If you order these items, it would do you well to get them plated separately, and ask that the salad ingredients be drained before assembling. read more

Stopped here for lunch. Upcoming m entering there was a full trash can right out front of the door. My husband said that was a bad sign and we almost didn't even go in. We did go in. We were seated in a booth that was in need of help so we switched to the next table over. Orders were taken and the waitress was friendly and attentive the whole meal. We are vegetarian so we all ordered front Theo veggie section. Food was overall good. Lots of peppers and veggies in my burrito which was a great sign. Drinks were refilled without asking. Overall a decent experience. One suggestion would be to work on some of the cosmetic aspects. Cleaning off the menus, new coat of paint on the walls would really make a huge improvement. read more

A little bit of Mexico is what I get every time I eat at La Nopalera. The salsa is deliciously spicy served with fresh tortilla chips. I've ordered enchiladas (my favorite), tacos and even the nachos (as an entrée). I've never been disappointed. My family and I enjoy the casual atmosphere: sports on the televisions, families with kids enjoying a nice after church lunch, a cocktail after work, or people celebrating birthdays. No need to be extra quiet here, it's the definition of family friendly. The waiters are super nice. We generally eat here after church on Sundays; although it's busy, we've never had to wait for our food very long. Our waiters have always made sure our drinks and our salsa and chips were brought out quickly. (The waiters are so obliging they've even brought out extra bowls of salsa just so that my kids don't have to share!) The price is reasonable and the portions large. The margaritas are very good and the beer ice cold. What more can you ask for in a nice neighborhood restaurant. read more

Salsa is super fresh and I love that they add fresh cilantro to it. Get your margarita on the rocks instead if frozen, more flavor. My wife got chicken tacos (3) and she could barely finish. I don't recall the name of my dish, but I cleaned the plate. Highly recommend. read more

La Nopalera is a perfect comfort food place if you're looking for Latino cuisine. The layout takes you back to the Midwest, and is a great bar restaurant to have a good lunch or dinner at. Compared to other Latino restaurants, the food quality and quantity are not the highest quality, but still above average, hence the 4-star review, and the price is super affordable. The customer service was great, and the speed of service exceeded our expectations. And on a side note, they have the biggest cups I've ever seen in a restaurant, and it makes it kind of fun. read more

The worst Mexican Food ever! This is by far one of the worst Mexican resturants I've ever encountered. While traveling you want the best food you can eat and my experience here was terrible. I ordered the spinach quesadilla with rice and beans. The quesadilla looked like they pour meat grease on it to give it some flavor, the rice was dry and hard and the beans were masked with lots cheese. The service even worse! Beware people of what you put into your body for nutritional purposes. When your food doesn't look right don't eat it send it back. That's what I did and it cme back even worse. This place needs to be closed down before they hurt someone. No star for this eatery! read more

Umm I don't even know how this happened. Better Mexican food in Georgia than most places I've had out in the South West? Whatever, twilight zone welcomed me to La Nopalera the other night. A family member recommended their blended margaritas and WOW, I could barely finish more than half of it! The flavor was awesome, stayed decently slushy until I was done drinking, and had probably too much tequila but hey that is never a bad thing. I ordered some kind of combo and it might not have been the best choice since both items were deep friend but it still tasted awesome. I love the chips and salsa here as well. Service was great. Can't wait to come back and dare to try another margarita, two and anyone will need help walking out the door I'm sure of that! read more

Amazing food! Super fresh and semi fast service, not bad Mexican food at all and you can't beat the prices! Defiantly will be coming back here more often! Even when it was packed, the waiter was within less than 5 minutes to the table and got us started, it was great and rare to experience from a lot of places also everything came out at a normal fashion, perfect service and great food!
