This little taco joint in Conroe rocks! It's definitely geared toward the Hispanic crowd as the signs, the music, and a large part of the menu is in Spanish, but they are friendly and the tacos are out of sight! They serve them in soft corn tortillas with cilantro and onions. I usually get chicken, but they have beef, beef tongue, beef BBQ, pork, chicken, or pork skin (chicharron). It's not the cleanest, shiniest place, but the food is fantastic and CHEAP. I got three tacos and a coke for 6.25. Fantastic deal!!! read more

You go up to the cashier to place order; don't expect a friendly face and you should know what you want, she won't explain anything. Rest of staff was nicer. This place is a literal hole in the wall in sketchy part of town- but any foodie knows that that is often where some of the best food can be found. This a pretty standard taqueria. Walk up to the counter, order your food and they call out your number. There is a small toppings bar next to the counter with all the usual taco toppings. Tacos are served street style on your choice of white or corn tortillas, with salsa, raw onion and cilantro. My personal favorite is the beef! The tacos are pretty cheap, but there is a card minimum of five or six dollars however three tacos will put you at the minimum. Another plus for this place is they are open LATE! Good food. Sauteed onions and fresh cilantro were good. Flavor is there but the meat other than the barbacoa has no spices on it. Make sure to grab a slat packet for them.
