Went on a slower Thursday night, with a slight rain. A newish restaurant in the area has been there for two years, but Covid put a dampening on the opening and early buzz. Same owners as Azteca in Mt. Kisco. The food was great, and portions were generous but not overly large. Good house cocktails, I had the Diablo Margarita. They have a broad menu. Stopped in here yesterday afternoon while our kitten was at the emergency vet since neither of us had eaten yet. We were not at all let down. Immediately upon entering we were greeted by our waiter (who's name I don't believe we were sadly ever told). He was very polite & patient; he brought our complimentary chips and salsa to the table along with complimentary waters before we were even ready, which was quite nice. He was thorough taking our order and said thank you a bunch of times. The chips were still warm and the salsa was delicious and authentic; flavorful with a kick but not too spicy. I ordered the 3 birria tacos and a side of rice & beans; my husband ordered the taco salad and the waiter allowed him to sub out steak for chili at no additional charge. The food came extremely fast, and we were immediately impressed by the presentation. Everything looked clean and beautiful! My tacos were absolutely delicious; I had never had birria before and now I'm obsessed. The beans were also EXTREMELY flavorful; the rice was a beautiful texture and had just enough flavor as well. My husband's taco salad was LOADED with meat, and had plenty of all the other fillings. Plus, the shell was fried perfectly; it was all around delicious. Once we were all done, we were able to pay quickly; my waiter boxed up my food within seconds, and off we were. Not only exactly what we needed that day, but all in all an exceptional experience. Stopped by this restaurant for lunch after reading great reviews and was not disappointed; the mole sauce on the chicken enchiladas was excellent, and my margarita was the best I've had in a long time. Service was gracious and accommodating and the dining room is cheerful...and spotless. I can't wait to go back and try more items from their menu! read more

Went in one day, my first time there. Ordered soup, I was not feeling well. The soup was pretty good and hearty, lots of veggies, food and meat. The English of the woman at register was limited. Still though I was able to place my order. Also saw people going in for lunch. I would recommend this business. read more

We had takeout a few weeks ago and it was delicious! I'm from Queens and have had my fair share of Mexican & South American food and swear the rice and beans were some of the best I've ever had. I had the chicken fajitas and my husband had beef tacos. Both were really, really flavorful and not too heavy. We would definitely return and hope to be able to enjoy dining inside after COVID! My husband and I stopped in to La Patrona on our long drive back to Boston from vacationing in Charleston, SC. Have to say...best Mexican food we have had! Warm chips and salsa were immediately served which were delicious. We ordered guacamole to go with the chips and let me say they did not skimp on the guac. We were served quite a large portion of yummy homemade guacamole. We both ordered the fajitas which came out on a hot plate sizzling with steak, chorizo, peppers, and onions...so very flavorful. We ate it all up! Handmade cocktails that did not disappoint. I had one of the best white sangria's I've ever had. And my husband absolutely loved his Mojito. The gentleman that served us was so kind and attentive . We only wish we lived close by as we would be visiting here quite often. Support this local business...it's a hidden gem. read more

Doesn't look like much BUT AMAZING FOOD AND AMAZING SERVICE! I stopped by with my family of 6 we were on our way home to Massachusetts from New Jersey and we are happy we stopped. It is authentic Mexican food. The micheladas are to die for!! The chorizo and Birria tacos were filled with flavor! The fajitas were sizzling and so good! Make sure to start off with the table side guacamole and end your meal with a cup of their hot coffee! I would 100% come back again and recommend to everyone who is looking for a delicious meal at a reasonable price. read more

We heard from foodie friends of ours about this restaurant that it was good and we were not disappointed. There have many restaurants/bars in this location over the years, but the tide has changed and finally we have a real Mexican restaurant just north of Croton Falls in Brewster. I lived in Texas for 5 years and am pretty snobby about Mexican food. The food here is authentic and fresh and everything you would want! Service is great and friendly. Menu is easy to read with plenty of descriptions if you are not sure of what the item is. Three of us ordered different types of Margaritas and they were excellent. The guacamole is the best! They had homemade flan which I have not had since my Spanish professor made for us in college - to die for!! Do not pass this place by; stop in and you will be pleasantly surprised. read more

A HIDDEN GEM. Doesn't look like much from the outside. In fact, I have driven by it many times and never realized it was there. If you are looking for higher quality Mexican food at the same cost- THIS is the place for you. The guacamole had just enough lime and cilantro to give it flavor. My steak fajitas were excellent. The service was impeccable and very cordial and personable. The restaurant is clean. They truly cared about your dining experience. There are at least 10 Mexicans restaurants within the distance from my house and this one is by far the BEST food. I rarely write reviews but this restaurant deserved praise. read more

We dinned here visiting from out of town. Seemed to be a little light on staff which is completely understandable- the staff was clearly doing their best and were very kind. That being said the food was only so so. The chicken enchiladas were dry. And it was a bit pricey considering the quality and quantity of food that arrived $21 for Fajitas that came with exactly six medium Shrimps. Our drinks were never refilled. read more
