I really wanted to like and support this place as a Latina owned business, but unfortunately it is poorly managed and I cannot place my trust in a business like this when it comes to my dogs. I ordered a cake for my dogs and the store delivered the wrong cake and delivered it late. I initially let it go and then messaged the owner directly. She was extremely unprofessional, failing to take any ownership whatsoever for the mistake and blaming ME. This made me even more concerned about this establishment so I decided to write this review to warn others. Based on reviews below, it seems my experience is not unique. Many people have experienced issues with cakes being late or simply not up to par. Some people comment about their dogs getting sick from the bakery's products. I can see how this could happen when the business is so poorly run. I am not taking any chances when it comes to my dogs so I will not be returning and I suggest you think twice before you shop here. Edit: The business owner is alleging "false statements" regarding the pick up time. Perhaps she should check in with her staff who picked up my phone call at 4:46pm on Friday and assured me the cake would be ready as early as 10:30am on Sunday. This place is so cute and the perfect place to get toys, treats, and accessories for your pets. They have a bunch of baked goods for your furry friends. I bought conchas, puerquitos, and maza-paw-nes for my dogs. One of them is a picky eater, but he gobbled up everything. I was talking to an ex employer who worked there at La Pawnaderia before and heard they get no tips at all and me being a frequent customer there I find that very unfair just because I waste my money on tips every time I go just for nobody to receive them and for me to not know where that money is going towards. Also because that money can come a long way for employees. It even surprised me because they don't have a tip jar there and they have one at every business. Placed an order online for a specific date, never got a confirmation for my order tried calling multiple times never answered the phone. I went to go pick it up the day of and they didn't even know I had placed an order which was already paid for!! They told me to come the next day and they would be ready. A friend purchased a cookie and a concha for my dog on Friday. She was told to store them in the refrigerator so I did as soon as I received them. I gave my dog half of the cookie on Friday, the other half of the cookie yesterday (Saturday) and half of the concha this morning (Sunday) and my dog is now having explosive diarrhea this evening. He has no allergies and has never had a problem with other baked goods before, purchased or homemade. I went to get a gift for my contractor's dog. This is such a cute little place. There's a nice display case with the dog treats. The girl working helped me put together a small box. They also have instagram photo ops for your dog, a dog play area that can also be rented for small parties and a cute boutique with accessories, clothes, party supplies etc. Overall a great experience. I didn't want to come on here and do this but it wouldn't be fair if it happened to someone else. So, I placed an order for a custom cake online 5 days before my pick up date. I sent in a picture for reference of what I wanted and since I didn't hear back I thought everything was fine. The day came to pick up the cake and when we get to the shop the cake still wasn't ready and we we're told that all they had to do is write the name. Which I found weird since the cake was supposed to be ready to go. I want to say we were waiting for maybe 20-25 mins and the cake still wasn't ready. I was trying to be patient but I already had a feeling something was wrong. When the cake was finally done the girl at the counter put the cake in a plastic bag and placed it on the counter and said your cake is ready and said thank you for waiting. At this point everything seemed off so before driving back home which was going to be over 1hr drive with LA traffic we checked the cake and it was nothing like what I ordered. At this point I was livid because she knew she was wrong and let me walked out the door with the wrong cake and it wasn't until we went back inside and confronted the owner that she began to apologize. She did give us a full refund for the custom cake we order and even offered us other doggy treats but all we took was the cake. This cake ment a lot because my baby girl was turning 16.
