The fresh, handmade pasta is on another level--perfectly cooked with that ideal bite you just don't find everywhere. The meatballs were incredible--tender, flavorful, and clearly made from scratch with high-quality ingredients. The Caesar salad was crisp, perfectly dressed, and balanced--not overdressed like most places. And the chicken parm... easily one of the best I've had. Crispy on the outside, juicy inside, topped with rich sauce and melted cheese, served over rigatoni that soaks up every bit of flavor. You can taste the care in every dish. Despite the fact that I normally obsessively plan every morsel of food we consume whenever we go on any sort of trip or frankly step out of the boundary of our property, our visit here was unusually spontaneous. We were "walking around and looking at the buildings", which is my mom's favorite hobby, with the dogs and needed place that not only would allow the dogs but also had heating lamps. This place crossed our path and had both. Bingo. I ate complete trash the night before and wanted something a little lighter and kinder on the waistline. I was pleased to see some salads on the menu. I went with the kale one, it had carrots and ricotta and a very refreshing dressing that was applied with just the right amount of dressing:ingredient ratio. I ate it in its entirety and felt good about myself afterwards. My mom ordered the brussels sprouts salad which also caught my eye. I had a forkful. Also very enjoyable. GF ordered the burrata for us to share and the scrambled eggs with a lovely hunk of sourdough, arugula, and bacon we gave to the dogs. I would ask her how it was but she is not answering my text messages promptly and I will not wait for a reply. The burrata, which I sampled of course, was delicious, as burrata tends to be. They do a sweet flavor combo with figs and probably balsamic something, I think there were pistachios. I tend to prefer a savory profile with my cheeses but given how common these sweet dishes are I guess I have an unpopular opinion. I got a cocktail that was delicious and strong enough that I (haven't taken a nap in literal years) felt compelled to nap when we arrived home from the city. Service was also excellent. We secured at 5pm reservation, arrived a little early but were allowed to grab drinks at the bar while we waited. Reason for 4/5 was due to how cold it was at one point, the table next to me even asked to be moved due to the draft we felt in our area by the door. As predicted valentines dinner was busy! Had a very disappointing experience at the SoHo location. Our waiter was extremely rude from the start. He never offered us drinks or appetizers, and we were never given bread while every other table around us received it. We were celebrating my friend's 21st birthday, and when we tried to order drinks, he refused to even look at our IDs. Instead, he laughed in our faces, said "haha no," and walked away. The food itself was delicious, but the portions were noticeably smaller than at other locations. I've always loved La Pecora Bianca, which makes this experience even more upsetting. Last time I was at this location, the space was occupied by Delicatessen, so it had been a while! I've been to other La Pecora Bianca locations (namely Flatiron), so I was excited to see how this location compared. The food was incredible, but unfortunately none of us liked our drinks that much (iced latte, cold brew, and the strawberry no-jito). My friends mentioned that the cold brew melted quickly (we were sitting indoors), and the milk ratio in the latte was off. I thought my strawberry no-jito was too sweet, and I was hoping for more of that mint flavor to shine through. I stopped by La Pecora Bianca for Sunday brunch. When I arrived, I noticed there were plenty of empty tables. Although I was a walk-in without a reservation, I asked if I could sit outdoors or at another table on the main floor, but was told no. I was instead seated in a cramped downstairs area. The seating was uncomfortable, the servers had to navigate around tight spaces, and it sometimes interfered with my dining experience. I honestly don't understand why the restaurant arranges seating this way. I was dressed in smart casual, so it wasn't a clothing issue. The bread served at the start was very disappointing -- cold and lacking character. I ordered Garganelli, added a $6 Burrata and $9 shrimp. Although slightly pricey, the dish was delicious -- easily the best pasta I've had in a long time. The roasted mushrooms and garlic added incredible depth and flavor, making it a standout. The shrimp in the pasta is tender and springy, not tough or overcooked. My wife ordered Eggs Norwegian (Smoked Salmon), which was actually very flavorful. The combination of the smoked salmon, poached egg, a touch of cheese, bread, and spinach worked really well together -- very tasty. As for the environment, sitting upstairs would have been much more comfortable, but downstairs it was cramped, and I had to constantly adjust my in and out of my seat for not blocking the waitress. I even asked if we could switch seats, but was told no. If I had been able to sit upstairs without these inconveniences, I would have given four stars. The price is not cheap either, so considering the seating, environment, and cost, three stars is my rating. read more

Drinks: I did not enjoy the winter spritz (dined here in March) and found it to be very bitter. My friend grabbed a drink that she did not like either and found to be watered down. We stopped in for drinks and a light bite since we had already eaten nearby, and I'd love to come back another time for a full meal. I visited one of their other locations a few years ago and enjoyed the pasta, but I'll need to give this one a proper try. The whipped ricotta was silky and flavorful, and the Brussels sprouts were perfectly crisp, umami and sweet. The cocktails were a true highlight. The Hugo Spritz was bright and refreshing, while the Lavender Spritz had punch of lavender. I only wished the presentation reflected the name a bit more--perhaps a lavender garnish or a hint of purple for a touch of whimsy. The drinks were really good though!
