    Veal parm wow

Came for a Saturday night dinner party of 5. Appetizers, meatballs were delicious, steak tartare amazing, octopus and Caesar salad were perfect. Veal parm enough for two wow super sized, Dover sole flavorful, Wagyu steak delicious. The shrimp pasta nothing special small shrimp and sauce so so. Overall a great meal. The place was dark and nice vibe. The wait service was excellent and prompt. Check it out.

Veal parm was amazing. The lobster cavatelli also delicious. The focaccia was nice, caesar salad super good, and clams were amazing. food was 10/10. Ambiance is incredible, this place is super sexy. Service could be better.. they are slow, forgetful, some have attitude for no apparent reason.

Even though I walk by Sartiano's almost every day, I never realized it was a restaurant--or how big it was. The vibes were amazing. When you walk in, there's a bar area where I assume they seat walk-ins, but if you have a reservation you'll most likely be directed downstairs. The setting and ambiance were great. They also have a coat check, and even the details stood out--the soaps were Le Labo. The service was phenomenal: very attentive yet respectful, and we never felt rushed. The food was incredible. The focaccia with whipped ricotta was delightful, and to my surprise, the star of the night was the Tuscan kale salad.

Arrival was upstairs street level at the café tad confusing, but figured out right away to go downstairs to meet the hostess. We were seated right away for our reservation wasn't too busy and wish they would've seated us in our location. That was a little less crowded there was a lot of open seating and all the tables for two or but it up so close to each other. It would've been nice to have a little bit more privacy. The gluten-free pasta with steak was absolutely fabulous. I would go back for that alone. Also, the cheesecake was gluten-free, which was so good. Service was above par waitress was delightful. I wish I remembered her name over all a very nice experience.

Sartianos is located in the Mercer. This place is absolutely classy, dimly lit and sexy! A definite place to dress up while in NYC! We had reservations on a Friday night. They were a bit behind so they lead us to the bar to get a drink before we were seated. The martinis were absolutely fabulous and had a strong kick to it. Solid first impressions before being seated. I also ordered the dirty umami which came with a side of caviar and it was a kicker for sure. I would get in trouble if I ordered another! Although we had reservations we did have to wait 20 minutes past time to be seated. The tables are a bit close with an open kitchen vibe. Service was on point and pretty attentive. We started with the focaccia bread ($12) the smooth ricotta was a delightful pairing with the meatballs ($22). We then moved onto the rigatoni ($29) which was flavorful and so good! Loved the sauce. We had the parmigiana veal $82 and this was incredibly filling but so good. The parmigiana was the perfect amount of crisp with the mozzarella. Overall, delicious food in NYC and a great date night spot!

Incredible dinner. Vibes immaculate. Had the lasagna bc I feel like most times, lasagna is rarely vegetarian friendly, and this one didn't have any meat, so that is a win! And it was a delicious lasagna. Drinks are also fab -- had to go with a classic espresso martini. Strong but got the job done. The only thing I would say is I felt rushed out. I understand that they are busy and they have reservations, but I just felt it was hard to enjoy when they are hovering and trying to clear when I'm not done. I eat slow and I want to catch up with my friend!

Sartiano's is expensive and flashy. The menu leans American Italian. It's also, a pretty good time. We had the steak, tartare and bread. All executed well thought I wouldn't say they were mind blowing. I don't think there's anything revolutionary done here but everything was certainly solid. Where Sartiano's succeeds is the vibe. Want to feel like you're eating at someplace fancy in SoHo? This is your place. Great people watching and great drinks, this restaurant makes for a great date spot.

For starters the restaurant is BEAUTIFUL! We sat at the bar while we waited for our table and I ordered an umami dirty martini that was so GOOD. It came with a spoon of truffle caviar! There wasn't a dish I didn't like but I will say the pasta was my favorite dish (unfortunately I can't remember the name and it isn't on the menu) followed by the baked clams. The branzino came in an olive sauce that made the dish very unique and delicious. For dessert I ordered the pistachio semifreddo which was perfect because it wasn't too heavy. I will say the only negative is that the staff knew it was my husband's birthday and no one sang to him or even attempted to make it special. Other than that I loved everything and I would definitely return.

Pretty nice ambiance. The food wasn't too pretty good but not like amazing amazing. More of a place for the ambiance. Loved the tiramisu.

Reallllly loved this spot. Waited for a table for about 20 minutes on a Thursday and was seated upstairs. Loved the bread & the tuna was very fresh + flavorful. The fusilli was the star of our show and 100/10!!! The lasagna was also wonderful, very flavorful. Vibes inside were great- staff were very friendly!

    Calabrese pizza calibrate

Very sultry spot inside The Mercer. You would never guess the level of sexiness just walking by on the street. If I'm rating anything first, its the pizza. This pizza is award winning! I took an out of towner to try the famous Rubirosa's Tie Dye Pizza. The pizza from Sartiano's is better. I ordered the Calabrese pizza but my wife asked for 1/2 red onions? They made for us a 1/2 red onion pizza with 'nduja and red calabrian chili honey, its was a killer pizza. So why the four stars? Ambiance? Sultry. Sexy. Downstairs had a beautiful bar with an open kitchen. And the bathrooms?! OMG, they had Le Labo soap AND hand cream! In the mens room! Very classy touch. We each started with a glass of wine, I had a glass of Tuscan red and my wife and a nice glass of orange wine. Next, pizza and salad. The salad was a Chicory Salad with chopped pears and candied pecans. There were also delicious mild slices of Italian cheese, this was another fabulous dish. Finally the Cacio e pepe. I was just in Rome last fall and I was craving a good Cacio e pepe. The pasta comes to the table. Freshly made Bucatini with another mild cheese. Just a little light on the pepe. The pasta was cooked perfectly, It just needed a little more pepper. Overall, 4 1/2 Yelp stars, I loved our entire dining experience.

Really loved Sartiano's, not sure why it took me so long to get here. Everything from entering the restaurant to the food, drinks, ambiance, and service were fantastic. We truly enjoyed everything we ordered - no misses or regrets. Our server was very helpful in guiding us through the menu and helping us make decisions. There were for our us and we ordered the Caviar Cannoli, Crudo, Meatballs, Steak Tartare, Clams, Focaccia, Lasagna, Doppio, Caesar, the 10oz Waygu Zabuton, the 12oz NY Striploin, and 3 desserts. Note: I am not one to order meatballs out because 9/10 times they do not compete with homemade ones, but my goodness these were amazing. I would highly recommend Sartiano's for anyone looking for a really great meal in a beautiful restaurant. It's perfect for dates or group dinners so you can try a bunch of the menu.

Came here on a Monday night and had a lovely time. The inside is absolutely beautiful with dim lighting. The staff were also very attentive. We started with the foccacia which is a must get and was so fluffy and delicious. We also got the fritto misto which was perfectly crispy and the aioli sauce was delicious. For our mains we got the paccheri which was perfectly al dente and filled to perfection with ricotta. I didn't love all of the meat that comes with it separately but the pasta itself is absolutely incredible and the meatballs were great. We also got the doppi which was a ravioli and was delicious as well, though a bit of a small portion to share. We ended with the chocolate glazed tiramisu which was delicious and not too sweet at all but did not taste much of the coffee flavor. Beautiful place and would come back!

It appears most changes comes to the type of pasta used in a dish, aspects around a dishes main focus and gelato/dessert flavors. Everything we ordered was an 8 or above out of 10. The beet salad (BARBABIETOLE) is easily 10/10 and a top 3 salad we have ever had. The chocolate cake with gelato (TORTINO DI CIOCCOLATO) was 10/10 and the best dessert we had at Da Andrea. We ordered 3 total, including the ricotta cheesecake and tiramisu. Tuna Tartare, gorgonzola pasta and bolognese are 9's. The fritto misto, the other pasta we ordered and the other 2 desserts are 8's. If you're in New York make reservations and go. My Wife found this place and made reservations. Only thing I regret after looking at additional photos is not ordering the grilled pork chop.

The restaurant was relatively spacious for Manhattan, with dim lighting and a beautiful floral exterior. They also had a great-looking antique bar. For drinks, I ordered the watermelon mocktail, but really was not a fan. I ended up swapping with my partner and drinking his non-alc beer instead. For starters, we shared the Insalata Di Caesar. This was a pretty mediocre Caesar salad, but got the job done. For entrees, most of us ordered pasta dishes but none of them were stellar. My Ravioli Di Crostacei was pretty bland and my partner's Spaghetti Bolognese just tasted like the pasta you could make at home. Service was friendly and they managed our large table well, but overall, I wasn't thrilled with Da Andrea.

Baba Al Rum was also tasty, as was the Orecchiette. Rigatoni was salty, but well-flavored. I visited a popular Italian restaurant from the Union Square Hospitality group with a group of five others. The restaurant is quite large, and although it was somewhat noisy, the tables were spaced apart enough that it was easy to hear everyone. We had an early dinner at 5:45 PM, which took quite a while, but I didn't mind. To drink, I went with the Bitter Giuseppe for $19, with Cynar 45.3, Punt e Mes, lemon, and sea salt. I'm a fan of most Negronis, and this was a particularly bitter version. The bit of lemon and sea salt added a unique but enjoyable flavor at the end, though in retrospect, the salt probably wasn't super necessary. Two of us split, and eventually, a few of us ordered their signature appetizer, the $18 Cast Iron Focaccia, with tomato conserva, a mixture of crushed tomatoes, olive oil, and Calabrian chili. The bread was fresh and warm, albeit a tad oily and salty, but it paired wonderfully with the conserva. As someone who doesn't like it when bread is extra, this was delicious and worth it. Another person ordered the $18 Insalata Verde. It was very large, but fairly basic, with a vinaigrette that had a citrusy and mustardy flavor. There was also the Caramelized Onion Torta for $27, which was very large, as expected for the price point. It had a creamy and tangy flavor from the Pecorino Toscano with some sweetness from the onion. It was delicious, but very heavy, and I would recommend that around three or four people split it alongside the focaccia. Finally, there was also the $15 Pizza Bianca, which was easily the smallest of all the plates, but they still enjoyed it. My main dish was the Orecchiette for $26, with ramps, pistachio, and pecorino. Like most of their dishes, the portion size was quite large, with plenty of pasta, which was perfectly cooked. The ramps added a touch of sweetness, although I would have liked a few more nuts. Additionally, there was almost too much pecorino, which made the dish slightly salty, but it was still enjoyable. As a side, I got the $19 Grilled Asparagus with dates, vermouth, and blue cheese, which came with many pieces of lightly charred asparagus. While there was plenty of funky blue cheese, I would have preferred more dates. Two of the others got the Rigatoni Alla Gricia for $30. The portion was large, and I tried a bit while they tried mine. The noodles were again cooked perfectly, and while there was a lot of guanciale, this was easily the saltiest of all the dishes. For dessert, I chose their Baba AU Rum for $18, which was uniquely mixed with chocolate and orange. The presentation was a bit off, as it looked like a certain emoji, but the flavor made up for it. The subtle hint of rum paired with the bitter-sweet chocolate and orange. The dark chocolate-covered orange slice on top was a nice touch as well. Someone else got a tart, and one other person got the Gelati, which resulted in one of the only faults during service. She heard it was two scoops, and ordered espresso stracciatella and hazelnut, but was given two separate orders for $12 each. The gelato was good, but unlike most things, definitely not worth it for the price. I liked the appetizers much more, but I found the food good overall. Tasty dessert, and the portions make up at least a bit for the relatively higher prices.

Being Italian American, I'm hypercritical of spots like these - but nevertheless the positive reviews were overwhelming so I wanted to check it out for myself. One of my friends and I were looking to catch up, so I booked a table and off we went. While it can be tricky to get a reservation during prime dinner time, it's relatively easy to get a lunch reservation - or an early/late dinner. I managed to get a reservation for dinner at 9:15pm which was the earliest I could find. The restaurant is pretty unassuming on the outside - it looks like a converted brownstone and once inside we were greeted by a large space with a sceney vibe. The space is split between two levels with a large bar up front and a semi-open kitchen in the back. The decor was modern - with lots of greys and neutral tones which was a little unexpected. The main star of the menu is pasta, but they also have a few non-pasta mains as well as some crudo selections, apps, and sides. We decided to get a few apps, two pastas, and one side. To start, we went with the octopus, roasted mushrooms, burrata crostone, and focaccia. These were all really good, but my favorite was the mushrooms. I'm usually not a fan of mushrooms but these were prepared with red pepper and fried egg and were delicious; it cut through the earthiness and changed the texture to something I really enjoyed. The focaccia was also a standout - it's house made and was paired with a peppery oil that complemented the bread well. For mains we split two pastas - the caccio e pepe and the rigatoni. Both of these were very good, though I felt the rigatoni was the stronger dish. It was prepared with sausage ragu, soppressata, broccoli rabe pesto, and pecorino. The flavors worked really well together and the pasta was cooked al dente. The caccio e pepe was perfectly fine, I just feel it's been overplayed and didn't feel there was anything that stood out amongst the others I've tried. We also got a broccoli rabe as a side which was great. We couldn't leave without dessert and decided to get their olive oil cake and quattro formaggio cheesecake. The restaurant is known for the former - it was perfectly fine but I've had olive oil cakes elsewhere of the same or better quality. The cheesecake was the stronger dessert IMO - the combination of cheeses gave it an interesting, almost savory flavor. The brûlée top and mascerated strawberries were great texture and flavor complements. Service was great - the place was packed but service was consistently on point and everyone was friendly. Overall, I had a good experience at L'Artusi. While everything was very good, I'm struggling to find the exact reason why this place became such a hot spot compared to other Italian spots in the city. Nevertheless, you'll have a good meal here and I would definitely return if given the opportunity.
