[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great environment and service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Here for a business lunch and definitely the environment to impress.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The tuna appetizer was definitely the highlight of the meal, the entrees were fine. Definitely a little pricy but you're paying for the atmosphere

Sartiano's is without a doubt the best Italian restaurant I have tried in NYC. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is gorgeous, they have a downstairs dining area that feels secluded and luxurious.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was wonderful, our waitress was very attentive. The food was the standout for me, the fusilli was out of this world. The fritto misto was so fresh and the focaccia was very unique compared to others I have tried. The martini with the bump of truffle caviar was a nice touch and perfect for any savory drink lovers. I can't wait to return to this restaurant, just an absolute 10/10.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A very pleasant atmosphere and beautiful table setting[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]; it was a bit pricey, but all the dishes were delicious, and we had a wonderful time.

Walked in for our res (kinda late) and no issues w the host, they were actually super nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Really cool vibe - dark and moody but not like lights off and can't hear dark and moody.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Sat in a corner booth and service was great! Waiter had really great timing too. We ordered the lasagna, fusilli and veal parm. Cheesecake for dessert (with a candle in it for a birthday). They're old fashioned and a beer. The drinks were yummy, they timed out our meal well. Not one bad bite! I will say it can get expensive quick.

Sartianos is located in the Mercer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is absolutely classy, dimly lit and sexy! A definite place to dress up while in NYC![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had reservations on a Friday night. They were a bit behind so they lead us to the bar to get a drink before we were seated. The martinis were absolutely fabulous and had a strong kick to it. Solid first impressions before being seated. I also ordered the dirty umami which came with a side of caviar and it was a kicker for sure. I would get in trouble if I ordered another! Although we had reservations we did have to wait 20 minutes past time to be seated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables are a bit close with an open kitchen vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was on point and pretty attentive. We started with the focaccia bread ($12) the smooth ricotta was a delightful pairing with the meatballs ($22). We then moved onto the rigatoni ($29) which was flavorful and so good! Loved the sauce. We had the parmigiana veal $82 and this was incredibly filling but so good. The parmigiana was the perfect amount of crisp with the mozzarella. Overall, delicious food in NYC and a great date night spot!

Veal parm was amazing. The lobster cavatelli also delicious. The focaccia was nice, caesar salad super good, and clams were amazing. food was 10/10. Ambiance is incredible, this place is super sexy. Service could be better.. they are slow, forgetful, some have attitude for no apparent reason.

Even though I walk by Sartiano's almost every day, I never realized it was a restaurant--or how big it was. The vibes were amazing. When you walk in, there's a bar area where I assume they seat walk-ins, but if you have a reservation you'll most likely be directed downstairs. The setting and ambiance were great. They also have a coat check, and even the details stood out--the soaps were Le Labo. The service was phenomenal: very attentive yet respectful, and we never felt rushed. The food was incredible. The focaccia with whipped ricotta was delightful, and to my surprise, the star of the night was the Tuscan kale salad.

Came for a Saturday night dinner party of 5. Appetizers, meatballs were delicious, steak tartare amazing, octopus and Caesar salad were perfect. Veal parm enough for two wow super sized, Dover sole flavorful, Wagyu steak delicious. The shrimp pasta nothing special small shrimp and sauce so so. Overall a great meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was dark and nice vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The wait service was excellent and prompt. Check it out.

Arrival was upstairs street level at the café tad confusing, but figured out right away to go downstairs to meet the hostess. We were seated right away for our reservation wasn't too busy and wish they would've seated us in our location. [[HIGHLIGHT]]That was a little less crowded there was a lot of open seating and all the tables for two or but it up so close to each other. It would've been nice to have a little bit more privacy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The gluten-free pasta with steak was absolutely fabulous. I would go back for that alone. Also, the cheesecake was gluten-free, which was so good. Service was above par waitress was delightful. I wish I remembered her name over all a very nice experience.

Incredible dinner. Vibes immaculate. Had the lasagna bc I feel like most times, lasagna is rarely vegetarian friendly, and this one didn't have any meat, so that is a win! And it was a delicious lasagna. Drinks are also fab -- had to go with a classic espresso martini. Strong but got the job done. The only thing I would say is I felt rushed out. I understand that they are busy and they have reservations, but I just felt it was hard to enjoy when they are hovering and trying to clear when I'm not done. I eat slow and I want to catch up with my friend!

Sartiano's is expensive and flashy. The menu leans American Italian. It's also, a pretty good time. We had the steak, tartare and bread. All executed well thought I wouldn't say they were mind blowing. I don't think there's anything revolutionary done here but everything was certainly solid. Where Sartiano's succeeds is the vibe. Want to feel like you're eating at someplace fancy in SoHo? This is your place. Great people watching and great drinks, this restaurant makes for a great date spot.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is incredible, exactly what i was going for.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] i asked the host if they had a wait for a table for one inside, she said yes definitely 30-45 mins. my table was ready in only 5 minutes but she took me to an outside table. menu looked great not sure about the drinks. i had to ask my waiter 3 times for the one beverage i ordered and by the time it came around i was almost done with my meal. it was pretty good, though they still charged for the drink. there was a couple that sat after me and was checked on multiple times and brought their check before mine and i had asked for that twice as well. the couple even noticed how i was being served and we chatted a bit about the service and their burger order wasn't put in properly either. don't know if it was because i was solo but with high dining prices i feel like there should be high dining service.

For starters the restaurant is BEAUTIFUL! We sat at the bar while we waited for our table and I ordered an umami dirty martini that was so GOOD. It came with a spoon of truffle caviar! There wasn't a dish I didn't like but I will say the pasta was my favorite dish (unfortunately I can't remember the name and it isn't on the menu) followed by the baked clams. The branzino came in an olive sauce that made the dish very unique and delicious. For dessert I ordered the pistachio semifreddo which was perfect because it wasn't too heavy. I will say the only negative is that the staff knew it was my husband's birthday and no one sang to him or even attempted to make it special. Other than that I loved everything and I would definitely return.

On weekends, is only the brunch menu offered or lunch menu as well?

From what I understand from their menu, lunch is served during the week and brunch on the weekend. Enjoy!

May I ask if this place is baby+stroller friendly during brunch /lunch hours?

The limoncello was simply divine, and the spaghetti Bolognese and short rib ravioli were both out of this world--rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Then came dessert... the ricotta cheesecake literally knocked it out of the park. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable dining experience. Then there was our waiter, Cem, he had a great presence, was very knowledgeable, and treated us like royalty! He made the entire experience worth coming back for. If you're looking for authentic Italian food with incredible flavors and impeccable execution, Da Andrea is a must-visit but you have to ask to be seated with Cem!! Can't wait to come back!

Taylor's Tayke: Da Andrea is a great option for Italian…read moredining in Chelsea, with a warm atmosphere that works perfectly for date night or dinner with friends. The menu has plenty of variety across pastas, seafood, and cocktails, with some unique dishes that made the experience memorable. The drinks were a highlight, and the seafood options stood out the most for me. My Tipsy Tayke: The Fragola Fizz was juicy, fruity, and refreshing. The Forever Summer was another standout, with the smokiness of the mezcal blending really well with the fruit flavors without overpowering them. Both are easy recommendations depending on whether you want something fruity or a little more complex. My Taysty Tayke: Get Down & Dirty, Expeditiously: Seafood Ravioli Unique, flavorful, and packed with different seafood flavors. The ravioli itself was delicate and had a tendency to fall apart, but the flavor made up for it. Standout: Calamari Crispy, seasoned, and enjoyable. It had a slightly chewy texture, but I still found myself going back for more. The Carpaccio wasn't necessarily for me texture-wise, but I really enjoyed the greens and dressing that accompanied it. The garnish felt intentional and helped bring the dish together. The Pappardelle came with plenty of sauce but could have used more flavor overall. The complimentary bread was also tougher and chewier than I prefer. Desserts: The Lemon Sorbet was easily my favorite dessert. Bright, refreshing, and packed with real lemon flavor. The Mango Sorbet was another refreshing option with a smooth tropical sweetness. The Panna Cotta Cheesecake leaned closer to a mousse in texture and was definitely on the sweeter side. I especially enjoyed it with the cherry, which helped balance everything out. Service: Warm and attentive throughout the meal, fitting the inviting atmosphere. Plates From My Visit: Calamari Carpaccio Seafood Ravioli Pappardelle Lemon Sorbet Mango Sorbet Panna Cotta Cheesecake Fragola Fizz Forever Summer In Conclusion: A warm Chelsea Italian spot with strong cocktails, unique seafood dishes, and refreshing desserts. The Seafood Ravioli was the highlight of the savory side, but whatever you do, save room for that Lemon Sorbet. Stamped by Elajas

Are you going to the Joyce for a wonderful evening of dance ?…read more Do you prefer a location close by ? Is inexpensive Italian food a preferred choice ? If you answered "yes" to all three, then Fumo is a place to seriously consider. The restaurant is bright and comfortable. The service is fast and attentive. The menu has lots of excellent choices. The portions are generous. The prices are very reasonable. There you go ! Fumo is for you, (at least the Chelsea location) is for you. Any drawbacks ? youi ask.....well, yes, there is one, and it should be cosnidered. The restaurant is so so so popular that the noise level can be a bit ..... shall we say "daunting." Fumo is a great place but if you want a soft, quiet place to have a serious conversation, maybe save it for another time....

This means those dishes aren't truly gluten free for people with celiac disease or anyone who has to avoid gluten. When I pointed that out to my server, he just gave me a blank stare. I tried to explain why labeling those items as gluten free is misleading, but he seemed completely disinterested, even annoyed, dismissed what I was saying, and simply responded that the pasta is gluten free. I acknowledged that the server doesn't write the menu, but absolutely zero customer service skills. The service overall was lacking. Aside from taking our order, no one checked on us or came back to see if we needed anything. Our server was just hanging out chatting up the hostess. We had to request the bill from the manager & paid at the hostess stand. Before paying, I spoke with the manager and explained what had occured. He was more professional than the server, but he was still dismissive of my concerns and of the service we received. Management seemed happy enough to promote the "option". The food was okay, definitely not enough to make up for the poor service and handling of a serious dietary issue. Needless to say I will not be returning.
