We picked this place to meet some friends for lunch before heading to Central Park. When we arrived at our reserved time, the host took us to our table right away. The dining space was very pretty, surrounded by modern interior and decor. They also had plenty of outdoor seating as well. I started the lunch with a strawberry Nojito that was extra citrusy. After adding some more water, I felt the drink tasted much better. For appetizers we ordered the zucchini fries that came with a side of marinara sauce. The pieces were over fried so much they got dark brown, would have been better if they were cooked for less time. For entree I got the LPB burger. Loved that they put the onion, lettuce, tomato and pickle on the side. The patty was cooked exactly how I requested and the melted cheese made the burger delicious with the brioche bun. The fries were thin and good quality. It came with ketchup and aioli sauce. The service was decent throughout the lunch. Our server did a good job of keeping up with our table as the place got super busy later on. Few other staff members aggressively removed empty plates from the table and quickly packed the leftovers we had on the table. They have several locations in Manhattan. We went to the one by upper west side, close to Central Park. Our friend made a reservation. We were greeted and seated right away. They just opened for the day so not many people but as time went on, the whole dining room was packed with people. Very popular spot I see. I had zucchini fries and Bronzino. Zucchini fries is a must try. Thin enough to have the crisp but think enough to still have the zucchini texture. Wonderful execution. Bronzino was cooked beautifully. The flavor was spot on. Unfortunately our experience tonight at Pecora Bianca left a lot to be desired. Our salad came at the same time as the cocktails then a minute later, the pasta came. We felt rushed. The dishes did not even fit on the table. The Pasta was not al dente. As we were eating, the waiter dropped, and broke 3 glasses right at our feet. Glass shattered all over around our table. There was no apology. Two people came to sweep the glass right under our table as they chatted amongst themselves Not a good dining experience. Stopped by for lunch with my mom, we got seated right away. The waitress recommended the fried zucchini which honestly were sooo good I can't stop thinking about it. Their pork Wontons whipped ricotta with truffle honey was soooo good. I felt like a savage the way I kept eating it with the bread. We had aperol spritz which were good but I personally felt they could have been a little stronger. For our mains we had the shrimp pasta and mushroom pasta. Both pasta's were delicious and flavorful. The shrimp pasta was lemony and creamy. The food is amazing here! It's definitely pricey and it's in the UWS across from the museum of natural history. Randomly walked into this place looking for a late dinner. It's been 6 months later and I still think about the artichoke dish. I didn't realize I even liked artichokes, and since this place I've basically ordered fried artichokes every time I see it on a menu just hoping it's this dish. (I haven't found anything that remotely compares). Their crispy fried Brussels sprouts were also delicious. The La Pecora Bianca in UWS is a popular neighborhood spot for both brunch and dinner. I'd recommend making a reservation, as their service is not the fastest and there may be quite a wait if they're full. The atmosphere of this location is lovely, with high ceilings and large windows. When I went a couple of weeks ago, we were lead to the upstairs area, which was also nice and cozy. I tried the pumpkin ravioli, which was delicious. My clients were happy with their dishes and the atmosphere as well. The only problem we had was the slow service. Especially since we were upstairs, we had long waits and had to call someone up from downstairs several times--to take our order, as for extra plates, etc. This is a great location especially for when I have visitors, so I hope their service level can improve. read more

Amaaaazing spot in the heart of the upper west side. What a beautiful location to take in the sights and sounds of the area. I went on a beautiful and busy Sunday afternoon and sat in a spot under the shade and fortunate enough to have a front row seat to the world. My server was fantastic, super friendly and welcoming and very cordial. I started with a whipped ricotta and an aperol spritz (torn between that and a Hugo spritz). Later, I asked my server to bring me a spritz of his choosing and low and behind.. A Hugo appeared! Honestly, that one was way tastier than the aperol but both were so refreshing and delicious. Perfect for the day. Not too boozy, cold, just great. For my entree I had the Garganelli. It was really good, pasta was fresh and cooked perfect. Full of layers of flavor, and felt so high quality. However I'm not sure it would be something I'd order again. Totally glad I tried it though. For dessert I... well... I ordered the tiramisu for two. Please don't judge. La Pecora has quickly become our go-to Italian restaurant in New York. Its everything you'd expect from a chain restaurant; consistent, tasty food, and refreshing decor at every place! Service was a little slow at this location and our server wasn't that attentive, but that did not affect our experience at all. Zucchini "Fries" ($15) is a must order appetizer and the Roasted Cauliflower ($17) was delicious as well. We shared the Garganelli ($26) pasta, something I'd highly recommend - the pasta and sharing - as the oil eventually gets to you. They make any pasta of your choice with butter and cheese for the kids, so our little one was happy to satisfy his pasta craving 'per his liking. Noise levels were on the lower end. Overall, a decently positive experience and will definitely continue to be our go-to place for Italian food! read more

It would've been nice to have a little more flavor in both. The entrees were nice, a rigatoni in vodka and a curly pasta with sausage. The pasta had a nice bite to it but could've been a touch softer for me. The item I enjoyed the most wad the lemonade basil soda--very refreshing on a warm day. We came here after a visit at the Natural History Museum because this place was one of the only places that even though had a lot of reservations, but accepted walk-ins which we were lucky enough to get a table. It was outside, with a bit of unknown in the weather side, but we still got a seat. The staff was super accommodating with the weather and when we wanted to switch to a table that was under an awning in fear of of We ordered pasta, and the party loved it. I thought it was pretty great, but then again it could have been the hunger talking. We got the burrata, which came with peas. It was good, the cheese was soft. Which pasta? I got the Tagliatelle. Making a resy was a good call because by the time we got there, the place was packed! It was also extra cold so we sat inside. The server led us to our table and handed us the menu and got us started with our drinks for the night. Seeing that there's posts is made in house, we knew we definitely had to get a pasta. But first the appetizer- the crispy artichoke with lemon aioli! Never had artichokes this way before! I will say that I was pleasantly surprised by the crunch. The leaves had some burnt parts, but otherwise delectable! Then we got the gramigna followed by the Faroe island salmon. The pasta was well flavored and had a touch of spice. The pasta might have been more on the tougher side than we had liked. The salmon atop a bed of kale, mushrooms and a squash purée was amazing! The sweetness from the purée was a great compliment to the kale and the salmon! We do badly wanted to have dessert, but we were so incredibly full, we had to decline. There were still good number of outdoor seating, but it was a shattered rainy day, and not all seats were covered. As our party was hungry, we decided to risk the rain. Went here with my husband and friends after searching UWS for a good Italian restaurant. Luckily, I found this place and am so glad I did. We got the whipped ricotta, fritto misto, spaghetti pomodoro with added ricotta cheese, garganelli, gramigna, and the dry aged ribeye. EVERYTHING was delicious, like exceptionally, over the top delicious. I don't think I've gone somewhere where every single dish ordered was good. And I also loved the texture of the pastas! Made in house and perfectly cooked al dente pasta. I must have been eating the wrong type of al dente all my life lol I usually try a place, and unless it's amazing, don't think about going out of my way to go again. I was surprised to see how big this place was on the inside - very different from other restaurants in NYC! It has a really nice atmosphere and they clearly stay busy. Excellent. Came here after a screening with a girlfriend at AMC Lincoln. We had a heavy topic to discuss, and the food and ambiance made it a safe place to do so. Both of us ate vegetarian and pescatarian, respectively, that night, so the cauliflower, calamarata (which has no calamari in it), local burrata, and branzino went down very well. Solid Italian food in the city. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating but be sure to make reservations. They are located just a block away from the museum of natural history so it's a great stop to check out after your visit. This was my second time here. First time they were able to get us in quickly and we enjoyed our meals. This time was a bit rushed. We got here early and had to wait which was no problem. We were able to get a table quicker if we sat outside. Only issue is they were super busy and we felt very rushed. Our food came out before our drinks and all at once. That being said everything we had was great. Whipped ricotta is light and fluffy with a hint of lemon. The meatballs are in a delicious sauce that went well with the children's spaghetti. We've been going to Isabella's since the 90s, it's where my husband & I had our first date in the city, so we were hesitant to try the restaurant that took its place. But Mark was such a wonderful host, with a wealth of personal knowledge about our favorite spot, that he made us feel right at home. The food was also excellent! Today was my first visit to La Pecora Bianca Upper West Side. I've been to several other locations and like the others, this location was decorated tastefully in my opinion and the food was good and overall was pretty consistent. I've ordered the same thing at three different La Pecora Bianca restaurants so I'll review what I ordered below. They have a $30 two course lunch special. Weekday lunch- Whipped ricotta with truffle and honey. They serve four slices of country style bread with fresh and creamy ricotta served with a well of olive oil, honey and chili flakes. I have to say that to me, the truffle flavor wasn't pronounced but the appetizer was very enjoyable nonetheless. Little gem Caesar salad with choice of protein. I ordered the Caesar salad and asked for my protein to be served on the side. The reason I requested this is that I didn't want warm/hot chicken to wilt my salad greens. Today's salad was the largest I've had at any LPB locations. Mine was not adequately dressed in my opinion and they graciously brought me more dressing. I would order this salad again for sure! You can't go wrong with this lunch special. It's a good amount of food/value for money. I've tried all three lunch special appetizers plus a few of the entrees and enjoyed all of them.
