I have been going to this place for a while but what happened today defiantly has turned me off. I order 2 ceviches to go a total of $32 when I ask the waitress for sauce she refuse to give me any stating it does not come with the ceviche. When the ceviche does come with rocoto which is a little more spicy for me so I just wanted a different sauce. Point is if I'm spending 32 dollar why the fuss over a little bit of sauce. i was led astray this place was one of my worst dining experiences ever! First of all they took 15 minutes to bring us water. The waitreess was taking in people that had ordered to go and completely ignored us. Maybe if they have so much to go business they should have a cashier and not the waitress do it. Then the place has no ambiance whatsoever it is being repaired and has a yellow police line do not cross into the other section. We were so hungry we decided to wait it out. Finally she took our orders in a hurry and did not explain anything. The ceviche was below average since the fish did not taste fresh, the pescado macho was the worst I have ever had, and the "must try" lomo was awful. Everything in the manue is perfect, but I prefer the mix fried seafood and the soup. also the make a perfect jar of lemonade. the desert is perfect as well as their coffee. the staff are friendly and treat customers well. This restaurant is seriously close by and for 14 years, drove by it without noticing it, well the family could not settle on where to go so we let Yelp point us in the right direction. Once again Yelp did not disappoint! Food was authentic, fresh and delicious. The ceviche was great, the causa was a winner. The mussel soup was ok but not the best. Service made us feel at home. We will definitely be back, FYI tip was added and you almost don't notice that, it is a pet peeve of mine but since all was so good she earned an extra 10%! I usually get the pasta with cheese sauce and churrasco medium rare. The pasta is pretty good. It's what I usually order. The roasted chicken was tender and not dry. We also ordered the chicken breast with pasta in pesto sauce but the chicken was super salty. It's a hit or miss depending on who cooked the food. The food consistency varies. read more

Kind of crazy that I've gone here So many times and the food has been great but today I asked for huanqaina sauce and they charged me $2.00 for a tiny sauce to go with my food that in the restaurant they give out for free. The service here is spot on. No waiting, no begging, just good old service when you ask for it. I ordered a chupe de pescado. Full of flavor, full of fish, and definitely worth trying again. We absolutely loved this place. This is a must have Peruvian food. The waiter was extremely helpful and friendly. He recommended for our party of 6 (four adults and two children age 7,10) the seafood fried rice, and Jalea which he advised it should be enough to feed everyone; however, you cannot go to a Peruvian Restaurant and not having any ceviche, so we added a boat of ceviche. The seafood was very fresh and perfectly cooked, all the seasoning was on point, and the presentation of the dishes was delightful. Then we ordered a suspiro Limeño which was enough to share among our party. I give a A+ to their chef. We had enough left overs to eat for dinner the same day and spent about $120 tip included. I've tried their Lomo Saltado, Arroz con Pollo, Papa a la Huancaina, and their Chicha Morada, etc. they are all prepared very authentic. I moved back from Peru a while ago and eating here feels just like being in Lima. The servers are always so kind, going out of their way to make sure we have a good time. I also tried a dessert that has the word Bavarois in it, and it was to die for, one of my top 5 desserts of all time.
