Surprisingly tasty NYC style pizza! Located in downtown Campbell. The cheese to sauce ratio was great, the crust was thin and tasty, and together a medium sized pizza came out to $23. It was a tad bit oilier than desired, that being said would definitely come back again. read more

Dropped in for lunch today. We had the Arugula Procuitto pizza, a Vegeterian pizza and lasagna, everything was fantastic. Fresh and served hot. Great selection of draft beer, friendly bartender serving the floor and bar. read more

Solid pizza from a wood fired oven! Cozy place and efficient service. Quattro Stagioni: The host explained this meant 4 seasons so you can either have 1 topping in each quarter of the pizza or have them all combined. I went with getting the toppings separate, interesting experience! They piled on the artichoke and olives, great with you like those flavors on their own. If not, I recommend getting the toppings mixed together for more balance. Margherita: They tossed on the fresh basil right before serving it the table, great touch! Nice basil aroma and you can't go wrong with the classic flavors. I went on a Friday night (downtown Campbell gets lively and crowded ), but no wait at this place so that was awesome. read more

Came by the other day for take out and it was a tasty experience. Parking around Downtown Campbell was available. Staff were wearing masks covering both their mouth and nose. Both indoor and outdoor dining were available. The doors were wide open for indoor dining as the A/C wasn't on and it was quite warm... The TIRAMISU' with layered lady fingers dipped into coffee with mascarpone cheese was excellent! Not too sweet and super fresh! The TORTA PRIMAVERA with sponge cake with limoncello/mascarpone cream topped was on the sweeter side. I didn't see much chocolate though. read more

Stopped by this place since our original dinner plans fell through due to not having a reservation. I like that they have indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered a few pastas and a garlic cheese bread. Unfortunately everything was very underwhelming for us. For the price point, our pastas were quite bare and tasted like dry boxed pasta. Our penne dishes were a bit bland and didn't really have layers to the flavor. The breads were ok but also very basic. Service was friendly but we were checked up on a lot by different staff, a bit too much as we were engaged in conversation. Overall Maybe we just ordered the wrong things? read more

Last night I ordered an appetizer that I remember having only a few years ago. It was the zucchini flower filled with cheese with anchovy sauce on the side. When I received it I must admit that I think something was different that I didn't remember before? It was heavily breaded and I don't remember it being like this. I used to love this dish but last night I was disappointed and confused because I don't remember that (at least it didn't stick out until last night?) but I've been coming here for years and I've had their pizzas calzone's and I must say that if you love Neapolitan wood fired Italian pizza? THIS is the place! And it tastes akin to Italy. And they have amazing dessert options too. I never had their pasta dishes so I can't really comment on that. I'd love to try it out though. They are a bit pricey though. I didn't think I ordered many things but the bill was pretty high for a few items. Not saying it isn't justified! But if you're on a budget this is not the best place to dine other than special occasions. That's it. But their pizza gets 5 stars from me! Service is 4 or 5 stars. Desserts are 5 stars. read more

Finally a REAL Italian restaurant in the South Bay! The pizzas are amazing, the crust, the ingredients and the baking are all exceptional, nothing like American pizzas. Cool Chef Emmanuel is pure Italian, so it's no wonder. Deserts are excellent as well, and the place has been nicely remodeled with gorgeous photos of Italy for a better restaurant atmosphere (used to be more like a cantina). All in all a gem! Bravo Emmanuel, can't wait to come back! read more

True Neapolitan pizza. The crust has the perfect "bite", and the toppings are excellent. As good as anything I ever enjoyed in my travels to Italy. My favorite is the Calabrese because my grandfather was from Calabria. Highly recommended. read more

Bad! Went yesterday after hiking through the Campbell Park I used to love this place have eaten here no less than 35 times! But yesterday!!- Very skimpy portion of shrimp added to my salad! ( I've had it 15 times!- never so skimpy) They don't wipe the tables down between service outdoors! They don't wipe down the menu or chairs! No lemon for my tea- no butter lackadaisical inattentive slow service * Waiter dashes by dropping off the check and says " no hurry on the bill", after his bad , inattentive service! Amazing and ignorant I had culinary training and restaurant management experience.... they are lacking greatly in service and concern for the Virus!! I'm not going back! read more

This is our go-to spot for weekend lunch or dinner. In all my years in the Bay, I've never been anywhere that cooked its pasta so authentically. The owner is fantastic, the service is fantastic, and the food is fantastic. I also really appreciate the great vegan options. That's extremely rare in Italian restaurants read more

I've had MUCH better pizza for much lower of a price. This restaurant is definitely on the expensive side, and I walked off with a $35 bill for arancini and potato focaccia... The arancini, while the only tomato arancini that I have found, is honestly topped by Pizzeria Delfina's saffron arancini (Bay Area chain), which are at a much more understandable price point than, what $18? Gratefully, they did not feel greasy like some other dishes might, so that's a plus. I was satisfied with the actual cooking of the potatoes on the focaccia, but the dough was a bit too much on the dry/crunchy side. Wish there was a little more substance, or a heavier concentration of potatoes, even in smaller slices. La Pizzeria is indeed wood fired, but its much closer to thin crust pizza than neopolitan. It is a good place for an occasional visit, the employees were friendly and the space was cozy (in a good way.) read more

Great to walk in and see they had a full bar and the warriors playing in the background. For people who aren't into sports, it's not obnoxiously in your face. You can still have a romantic dinner here without feeling like you're at a sports bar. It definitely has a family-owned Italian vibe. We ordered the prawns wrapped in prosciutto. it was surrounded by a bed of arugula. 7/10 The pizza was a solid 9/10. I'd come back for another pie. We were a table of 5 made reservations hoping we would have a nice family dinner. We arrived at 6:15 got seated right away. Going to make this short I don't like to elaborate. Got pretty busy real quick after we were seated. But waiting 2 hours for our food was ridiculous on top of that our pizza's were cold. There signature house pizza the egg was completely raw. We told the server and she called in her manager. She dropped the bill and the manager just kept explaining to us how the pizza oven works and kept making excuses. No apologies or anything....We where just letting them know the egg was RAW. I had my shares of cooking pizza through my industry. So I understand how the process goes. So this was not okay.... Our intention was to let the kitchen know they can't just flash a pizza and put it out. Definitely will not be coming back. 3.5 stars for above average thin crust and big portions. The boar pappardelle $32 had a plentiful amount of boar but the meat was so dry. The pappardelle could have been more delicate. The boar and butter noodle pastas were also big portions and looked very homemade. The squid ink was too fishy and black for me but my son loved it! I was hoping my burrata pizza would have been more soft and chewy than thin and crunchy (a la Delfina). I also wished it was burrata as advertised vs mozarella But the service was so friendly and prompt (we were the only ones there :P). They have a lot of outdoor seating, parking and reservations were easy. read more

So glad we finally tried this place! Came here on a quiet Saturday afternoon. The place wasn't very full, so we were lucky enough to have a relaxing environment for our quick meal. Server was kind, service was relatively fast. No complaints whatsoever! We ordered the vegetarian pizza with added olives (zucchini, eggplant, tomatoes, mozzarella, oregano). The crust was thin and the pizza was so fresh and light! They do have a thicker crust option, as well as a wide range of other dietary needs and preferences-gluten free, wheat, vegan, meat options... 5 Stars for this place! read more

Kids wanted pizza and we wanted pasta so this seemed like a decent compromise. We got marinara pizza sans basil for kids, vegetable caprese and eggplant Parmesan. The vegetable caprese came with eggplant, tomatoes and pesto drizzled on it on a huge platter. They also had three teeny tiny pieces of bread on it. The bread was hard set as well. We asked for more bread and got some, we didn't realize it was an extra charge till we got the bill later. Anyway, the eggplant caprese was delicious, the eggplant was roasted well and with the balsamic vinegar it had a sweetish taste. The tomatoes were deseeded, diced, fresh and succulent. Overall, a great combination and the best dish we had that day. The eggplant Parmesan was loaded with cheese. The eggplants itself were not roasted well enough and needed more seasoning or salt. The pizza had marinara sauce which was a little watery and needed more reduction. read more

We had reservations on a Friday. I was working remotely so I lugged my laptop w/ us, too. I'd check emails on my phone and would log in when I need to but this place did not have service whatsoever. We were seated on the patio because it was beautiful outside. Our server was great and sold me on the pizza that I later fell in love w/ after my first bite. Please note that there isn't a kid's menu and pizzas come out uncut unless otherwise asked at the time of ordering. Tess ordered the spaghetti carbonara, Gavin ordered the spaghetti w/ meat sauce, and I ordered one of their signature item also known as "pino's favorite". I have never had artichoke before but our server convinced me to order it plus I loved the egg addition. I'm so glad I did. Oh, I also ordered garlic bread and added cheese for our appetizer. I tried Tess' dish.. delicious. I tried Gavin's dish.. delicious! My pizza was amazing. I was eating artichoke! I smiled after my first bite and wished it didn't contain any fat or carbs because I would have eaten the entire thing in one sitting. I ate the entire thing the following day though, haha. Can't wait to take the kids back here! read more

Nice ambience and great servers who were super attentive. Everyone had a good meal and the pizza was tasty! I got the margherita and I enjoyed the thin crust, but it was a bit oily for my taste and tbh nothing special for $18. I know it's a simple pizza order, but I have had even Mariana pizzas (just sauce) that have blown my mind. So ‍ I have a Vegan friend and she loved all the vegan options. I'd come here again with my gluten free abs lactose intolerant sister, since it's actually possible to accommodate both here! Overall, would recommend for a fun dinner. read more

I would say their pizzas are among the best in the area. My favorite is the Quattro Stagione (though I have mix all four ingredients together, instead of the traditional one per quarter pie). I've had a few pastas, and those were tasty, too, though not the best in the neighborhood. The lunch combo is great! Half a panini sandwich with soup or salad. I almost always go with the soup... It's a yummy tomatoe-based veggie puree! The patio is great for enjoying the downtown Campbell ambiance and for dining with furry friends. Yes, the patio is dog-friendly, and there are almost always one or two doggos out there. Docking one star because service can be extremely slow sometimes, and because I've experienced a couple inconsistencies with quality (tiramisu gone sour, sausage in pasta very overcooked and dry). read more

We have been going here for many years and when Simone and Edgar were managing we always had a great experience. Tonight we received very poor service and finally just got up and left. Have come 2 times recently (after not going for 4+ years) and enjoyed the pizza and various focaccias. However I found the pastas to be pretty disappointing. I would come back for the pizza, bread and various dishes that come from the wood fire oven, as the flavor is delicious. However the pasta portions are very large which reflects in the price and the flavor just wasn't exciting. I had the bolognese pasta, lemon pasta and lasagna. The vibe inside is confusing - it used to come off super Italian - now it's less put together and seems more bare. The service was good though - bartender was kind and waitress was nice too. Overall a decent experience. read more

Food, DELICIOUS. Service, FAST POLITE ATTENTIVE. Despite the pros, there were a few things the restaurant can improve on (it's what is holding me back from the 5 star). The Menu was overwhelming; it's way too long with too many options to choose from plus the names are hard to understand (I don't know how to read Italian) so that required reading the description of ALL of the menu - did I mention there was many options. Also, the pasta was a tad dry and could have been juicier. The ravioli could have had a "prettier" presentation or at the least could have been more filling. My mom who ordered the ravioli had to munch off our plates to satisfy her hunger. You can tell the restaurant is trying to give off a high end Italian restaurant vibe, but the logo on the plates are fading away... All in all the food was good but it could have tasted better for the price. read more

Ambiance = 3 Food = 3 Value = 2 People/Service = 4 This restaurant is pricy for mediocre food. $26 for a simple pasta dish is excessive considering they do not even serve bread olive oil/balsamic before or during the meal. If you add any minor ingredient to your pasta dish, it's an additional charge of up to $5. Once you've gone there once, there's no need to go back. read more

Does the pizza taste the same as it did with the old owners? We left Campbell early 2017. We're going to be in the area for 2 days & wonder if it will be worth going there since there are so many places we miss?

Yes! I can definitely attest to the pizza tasting the same; my uncle is friends with Pino (the old owner) and even he can agree that the pizza is on the same par as before.

We started out with complimentary glasses of Prosecco and sparkling cider while we waited to be seated. There was a little delay in getting our table, but it wasn't really a problem because we were chatting and enjoying the drinks. Before we entered, they had a floral photo wall where we took a photo together to memorialize the experience. And when we sat at the table, they had placed a lovely Mother's Day card on the table signed by the staff. The decor at Be.Steak.A is modern and feels very upscale. I think the bathrooms say a lot about a restaurant's attention to detail, and the bathrooms at Be.Steak.A were elevated - essential oil infused salt scrub to wash your hands, bidets, etc. The brunch buffet is just as described - hot items and pastries in the kitchen (so cool), a caviar bar outside, a separate station for cold seafood, another station for fruit and charcuterie, and then assorted desserts on the bar. The food was excellent. We started with the caviar -- the options and accouterments were plentiful and delicious. The caviar bar was so fun and felt luxurious. This was one of the highlights of the whole experience for me. For the other seafood, we enjoyed oysters, shrimp, crab legs, and other little seafood dishes, which unfortunately weren't labeled, so we didn't always know what we were eating. My friend had some dietary restrictions she was concerned about, so that was a little frustrating for her. But my favorite bite of the entire day was one of those unmarked seafood dishes- I wish I could tell you what it was -I think it was possibly squid. But it was so fresh and flavorful. Yum! The hot food in the kitchen was a neat experience. They had skewers and prime rib and many other dishes to choose from. I kept coming back to the seafood skewers. We were a little bummed that the beef Wellington was just gone when we entered the kitchen. There was still about another hour and a half of brunch service left so that was a disappointment for us. They also had numerous pasties and this amazing bread pudding that I drizzled a Nutella sauce over and added some strawberries to. This was probably my third favorite bite of the day (after the little seafood dish and the caviar experience). I'd be remiss if I didn't give the truffled deviled eggs from the charcuterie area a shout out. These were so good we kept going back for more. The desserts were good but a number of them were a little dry, I have to say. Surprisingly, my favorite was a little passionfruit tart that had just the right amount of sweetness. I'm usually a chocolate kinda gal but there weren't that many chocolate options, I have to say. A few other things- our server was lovely and gave us a lay of the land to start. She made sure we had any drinks we wanted and plenty of extra silverware. While there just aren't as many touch points with a server at a buffet, the interactions we did have were very positive. And even though I was disappointed that they ran out of the Beef Wellington, I was so impressed with how they kept replenishing and refilling the other dishes right up to the end of the buffet. The food: the hot stone trio, for $230, mediocre cuts of supposedly A5 Japanese wagyu. They were out of the Sanuki and said we'll substitute with an Oregon beef. Just not worth the money. The lobster was ok, the risotto was already cooled off, seemed like it was sitting. So for 2 of us with a $700 plus meal the service was not on par with other similar establishments. The wrapper was a bit thicker than I personally like and the filling was just ok. Not the worst XLB I've had, but there are definitely better out there. We were offered ginger for these and the ginger was given to us grated instead of julienne. 3/5 2. Beef pot stickers - these were surprisingly good with the crispy underside and a juicy filling. Would definitely order these again. 4/5 3. Dan Dan noodles - these noodles are made with ma la (麻辣) sauce which translates to numbing spice popular in sichuan cuisine. The flavor of the noodles was a little under whelming, relying entirely on the numbing spice, and honestly these were not spicy enough. I also did not enjoy the texture of these noodles as they were cooked al dente, but that did not go well with these types of noodles in my opinion. 2/5 4. Ja Jiang mian - these noodles were cooked to the same texture as the Dan Dan noodles and I didn't enjoy the texture. The flavor was a little too sweet and the texture of the sauce was a little grainy. 3/5 After finishing these 4 dishes we were still a little hungry so we ordered the Q-bao. We also noticed the banana crepe was no longer sold out, so we ordered that too. When the waiter came out with the order ticket she apologized and told us there would be a little bit of a wait for both of these as they were fried. The total wait time was 20 minutes after ordering. The restaurant was not busy, so wait times might be longer if they are busy. 5. Q-bao - these were the best thing we ordered. The bun was warm and fluffy and the filling went well with them. The inside was moist and juicy and the sear on the bottom was perfect. 5/5 6. Banana crepe w/ whipped cream - the batter used for the crepe was the same texture as what you would expect the green onion pancake to have. It was chewy and flaky, but a little off putting as I was almost expecting a savory flavor from my dessert. It went well with the banana and whipped cream. 4/5 Of the 6 items I ordered I would rank them as the following: Q-bao, beef pot stickers, banana crepe, ja Jiang mian, XLB, Dan Dan noodles.

We were able to park on a side street & walk. Just a couple of blocks. They saw we were on the list & were seated right away. We chose to sit out on the patio. They had fans going, so the temperature was perfect. We were immediately served water in large containers. Helpful so we didn't have to ask for refills. (Our container emptied one time, and without asking, we were immediately brought another one.) You scan a barcode at your table on your phone to get the menu & order. I wasn't so sure about it being I'm technically challenged. Lol We had our 19yr old son with us though, and he loved it. Also helpful if you're going to split the bill. You just use your own phone. They have a big "heat level" chart on the wall that is helpful to see before you order. I got the sweet butter corn ramen & loved it. We all got our ramen within about 10-15min of ordering. Perfect size serving. Best ramen I've ever had! The broth was so flavorful & noodles perfect. I loved the way the egg was done. I got heat level one, which I thought had a nice spice to it. I tried my son's who ordered level 2 & it was a bit too spicy for me. When you order, they give you a bunch of options to check. What type noodles, extra egg, type of meat, add-ons, etc. I removed the bamboo shoots from mine. I would definitely go back & possibly try a different ramen, but knowing me, I'll get the same but probably add mushrooms. Other thing I thought was cute... there was a thin slice of what looked & tasted like imitation crab in the ramen. I had one slice & my son 2. Turns out it's to signify what heat level you got! My absolute favorite dish is the grilled shrimp and BBQ pork with rice sheet wraps, it's outstanding. Their appetizers are good, and the egg rolls are especially delicious. The beef soup is also solid and comforting. You can tell this place has a loyal following many of the customers seem to be regulars, which really adds to the cozy, family style atmosphere. The fresh rolls and egg rolls were the highlights. The fresh rolls were do it yourself style with rice paper, thin noodles, nuoc mam sauce, fresh mint, cilantro, and vegetables. The texture was great, chewy with a fresh crunch from the herbs and veggies. The egg rolls were just as good and came with vegetables for wrapping, making each bite feel balanced. These dishes alone are worth coming back for. We also ordered the bo luc lac, which had very tender filet mignon with bell peppers and onions, savory with a slight sweetness. We added sides of rice, which paired well. The clay pot catfish was sweet, savory, and flaky, a solid choice if you like fish. For drinks, my daughter had fresh squeezed orange juice, and I had the iced Vietnamese coffee. The coffee was smooth, perfectly sweetened with condensed milk, and not burnt. I would definitely order it again. The holiday decorations were a nice touch, with Mr. and Mrs. Santa, a festive window display, and a photo booth in the waiting area. Shout out to John Huynh of One Snap Photo Booths for the fun setup. We were seated quickly, given an extra chair without any fuss, and they even took our to go order early. The only issue was being charged for a few items we did not order, but overall we really enjoyed our visit and would gladly return for the fresh rolls and coffee.
