This is my favorite place for pizza! My new favorite is the charcoal based pizza dough, margherita style with added burrata. I absolutely love their gnocchi and desserts as well. They have a lot of delicious pasta sauces and are flexible with substitutions throughout. They have gluten free and vegan options too, which is nice to see an authentic Italian restaurant offer. Cocktails are properly made and always make you wanting one more. The service is always 5-star and the wait staff friendly, professional and personable. Ambiance is nice but relaxed. It's always lovely to visit an Italian restaurant in the Bay Area where the manager/waiter and owners are actually from Italy. Oh and of course they have great espresso! read more

We went on a whim and an enjoyable, well-paced meal. We arrived early and were seated immediately. We were given time to review the menu and time to ask questions. The food was all prepared fresh. While there are no pictures, we all had pasta dishes. Spaghetti Bolognese is a staple at any Italian restaurant and this dish was wonderful. There was also Ravioli with Short Rib and Penne with house-made Sausage. All were delicious. My only criticism of the dinners...too much salt. The Tiramisu was divine. Some of the best I have had. It was light and airy. The favors married so well together. I would loved to have had another but it was not in the cards. The wine was also wonderful and went well with all of the dishes. We went on a Monday for an early dinner. We had to wait for a bit to be seated, which is ok since we didn't have a prior reservation. We opted for a booth inside the restaurant although they have some tables outside. We were offered tap water and complimentary bread while browsing the menu. FOOD: We ordered: Margherita Pizza - 4 /5 Spaghetti Carbonara - 5/5 lasagna- 3/5 focaccia Del contadino 5/5 We had to ask for extra tomatoes for the antipasti and we're given some extra slices with no additional charge. Also we got free refills for our soda. Juan was our server, he was courteous and pleasant. The owner and Juan always checked on us if we needed anything. Came by the other day for take out and it was a tasty experience. Parking around Downtown Campbell was available. Staff were wearing masks covering both their mouth and nose. Both indoor and outdoor dining were available. The doors were wide open for indoor dining as the A/C wasn't on and it was quite warm... The TIRAMISU' with layered lady fingers dipped into coffee with mascarpone cheese was excellent! Not too sweet and super fresh! The TORTA PRIMAVERA with sponge cake with limoncello/mascarpone cream topped was on the sweeter side. I didn't see much chocolate though. read more

Quattro Stagioni: The host explained this meant 4 seasons so you can either have 1 topping in each quarter of the pizza or have them all combined. I went with getting the toppings separate, interesting experience! They piled on the artichoke and olives, great with you like those flavors on their own. If not, I recommend getting the toppings mixed together for more balance. Margherita: They tossed on the fresh basil right before serving it the table, great touch! Stopped by this place since our original dinner plans fell through due to not having a reservation. I like that they have indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered a few pastas and a garlic cheese bread. Unfortunately everything was very underwhelming for us. For the price point, our pastas were quite bare and tasted like dry boxed pasta. Our penne dishes were a bit bland and didn't really have layers to the flavor. The breads were ok but also very basic. Finally a REAL Italian restaurant in the South Bay! The pizzas are amazing, the crust, the ingredients and the baking are all exceptional, nothing like American pizzas. Cool Chef Emmanuel is pure Italian, so it's no wonder. Deserts are excellent as well, and the place has been nicely remodeled with gorgeous photos of Italy for a better restaurant atmosphere (used to be more like a cantina). All in all a gem! Last night I ordered an appetizer that I remember having only a few years ago. It was the zucchini flower filled with cheese with anchovy sauce on the side. When I received it I must admit that I think something was different that I didn't remember before? It was heavily breaded and I don't remember it being like this. I used to love this dish but last night I was disappointed and confused because I don't remember that (at least it didn't stick out until last night?) but I've been coming here for years and I've had their pizzas calzone's and I must say that if you love Neapolitan wood fired Italian pizza? THIS is the place! And it tastes akin to Italy. And they have amazing dessert options too. I never had their pasta dishes so I can't really comment on that. I'd love to try it out though. They are a bit pricey though. I didn't think I ordered many things but the bill was pretty high for a few items. Not saying it isn't justified! But if you're on a budget this is not the best place to dine other than special occasions. That's it. But their pizza gets 5 stars from me! Service is 4 or 5 stars. Desserts are 5 stars. read more

( I've had it 15 times!- never so skimpy) They don't wipe the tables down between service outdoors! They don't wipe down the menu or chairs! True Neapolitan pizza. The crust has the perfect "bite", and the toppings are excellent. As good as anything I ever enjoyed in my travels to Italy. My favorite is the Calabrese because my grandfather was from Calabria. Highly recommended. read more

I've had MUCH better pizza for much lower of a price. This restaurant is definitely on the expensive side, and I walked off with a $35 bill for arancini and potato focaccia... The arancini, while the only tomato arancini that I have found, is honestly topped by Pizzeria Delfina's saffron arancini (Bay Area chain), which are at a much more understandable price point than, what $18? Gratefully, they did not feel greasy like some other dishes might, so that's a plus. I was satisfied with the actual cooking of the potatoes on the focaccia, but the dough was a bit too much on the dry/crunchy side. Wish there was a little more substance, or a heavier concentration of potatoes, even in smaller slices. La Pizzeria is indeed wood fired, but its much closer to thin crust pizza than neopolitan. It is a good place for an occasional visit, the employees were friendly and the space was cozy (in a good way.) read more

We were a table of 5 made reservations hoping we would have a nice family dinner. We arrived at 6:15 got seated right away. Going to make this short I don't like to elaborate. We told the server and she called in her manager. She dropped the bill and the manager just kept explaining to us how the pizza oven works and kept making excuses. I was hoping my burrata pizza would have been more soft and chewy than thin and crunchy (a la Delfina). We had reservations on a Friday. I was working remotely so I lugged my laptop w/ us, too. I'd check emails on my phone and would log in when I need to but this place did not have service whatsoever. We were seated on the patio because it was beautiful outside. Our server was great and sold me on the pizza that I later fell in love w/ after my first bite. Please note that there isn't a kid's menu and pizzas come out uncut unless otherwise asked at the time of ordering. Tess ordered the spaghetti carbonara, Gavin ordered the spaghetti w/ meat sauce, and I ordered one of their signature item also known as "pino's favorite". I have never had artichoke before but our server convinced me to order it plus I loved the egg addition. I'm so glad I did. Oh, I also ordered garlic bread and added cheese for our appetizer. I tried Tess' dish.. delicious. I tried Gavin's dish.. delicious! My pizza was amazing. I was eating artichoke! I smiled after my first bite and wished it didn't contain any fat or carbs because I would have eaten the entire thing in one sitting. I ate the entire thing the following day though, haha. Kids wanted pizza and we wanted pasta so this seemed like a decent compromise. We got marinara pizza sans basil for kids, vegetable caprese and eggplant Parmesan. We asked for more bread and got some, we didn't realize it was an extra charge till we got the bill later. Anyway, the eggplant caprese was delicious, the eggplant was roasted well and with the balsamic vinegar it had a sweetish taste. The tomatoes were deseeded, diced, fresh and succulent. Overall, a great combination and the best dish we had that day. The eggplant Parmesan was loaded with cheese. The eggplants itself were not roasted well enough and needed more seasoning or salt. I would say their pizzas are among the best in the area. My favorite is the Quattro Stagione (though I have mix all four ingredients together, instead of the traditional one per quarter pie). I've had a few pastas, and those were tasty, too, though not the best in the neighborhood. The lunch combo is great! Half a panini sandwich with soup or salad. I almost always go with the soup... It's a yummy tomatoe-based veggie puree! The patio is great for enjoying the downtown Campbell ambiance and for dining with furry friends. Have come 2 times recently (after not going for 4+ years) and enjoyed the pizza and various focaccias. However I found the pastas to be pretty disappointing. I would come back for the pizza, bread and various dishes that come from the wood fire oven, as the flavor is delicious. However the pasta portions are very large which reflects in the price and the flavor just wasn't exciting. I had the bolognese pasta, lemon pasta and lasagna. The vibe inside is confusing - it used to come off super Italian - now it's less put together and seems more bare. The service was good though - bartender was kind and waitress was nice too. The Menu was overwhelming; it's way too long with too many options to choose from plus the names are hard to understand (I don't know how to read Italian) so that required reading the description of ALL of the menu - did I mention there was many options. Also, the pasta was a tad dry and could have been juicier. The ravioli could have had a "prettier" presentation or at the least could have been more filling. You can tell the restaurant is trying to give off a high end Italian restaurant vibe, but the logo on the plates are fading away...
