Had a wonderful last minute evening here. Met a cousin here for some wine & bubbles. We sat at the bar on a Monday night during the holiday season. It was pretty crowded upon arrival but service was excellent & super quick. They kept the wine & bubbles flowing, I don't think I ever had to ask for a refill once- just boom, filled up. It was amazing. Everyone who worked here was extremely kind & over the top cool to talk to. I would come back just hang out with them. The crowd is dressed well, but they are here for good laughs & an even better time. No one is taking anything too serious here. This location has had live music during the summer & fall as I've seen from strolls by. Now that I've been here, I'm excited to come back in the summer to enjoy the music. Had good intentions I'm sure but wow, the slowest service and food wait time in Campbell. I only order a mini pizza and had to wait over an hour. Never seen my waiter after he took my order. So under staffed, disorganized. Had plans to go to a movie after dinner and had to cancel that. I have no idea how they can turn enough tables to stay in business. Seriously, you can't make this stuff up and thank you, sir for the laugh. After going back and forth on where to go for dinner, we settled on La Pizzeria. I was easily able to make last minute reservations the day of and there was a steady stream of customers coming and going with no wait on a Saturday night. So, this may be a good last minute dinner option, even without reservations. On the menu are antipasti, soup, salad, pizza, and pasta. For pizza, you can opt for a whole wheat or gluten-free with a $2.50 surcharge. Everything is reasonably priced with nothing is over $18. They have a full bar and cocktails are cheap at $10 (e.g. $10 Hendrick's Tonic). They also offered 10% Yelp cash back making it an even sweeter deal but they've since removed it (dined here last weekend). Not my preferred style for carpaccio since the bresaola was stiff and dry but that's my fault for not thoroughly reading the description. I prefer raw beef. Coming from San Francisco, we have so many great pizza eateries so I was really impressed with this pizza (for the South Bay). They are a little heavy handed with mozzerella compared to other Italian thin-crust pizzas but I love cheese so no complaints. The gorgonzola added a nice savory pungent flavor while the cherry tomatoes added a nice pop of freshness. Drizzle a little of the tableside chili oil and you're golden. To add to the authenticity, all pizzas are served whole and uncut which I prefer as it prevents the center from becoming a soggy mess. Just wish that they provided a better knife to slice the pizza as it took a lot of effort to cut through the crust. It tasted like a plated Lean Cuisine meal - the noodles were overcooked with no bite to them and the sauce tasted very commercial. It needed garlic and fresh basil to brighten it up. Below average pizza joint. I hate to give bad reviews for small local businesses but when your entree is bad, it ruins the whole night. We went on a Sat night. The place was 3/4 full. It is very casual. Kids with hoodies to older folks that are dressed nicely. Pros: Servers - Pleasant Margherita Pizza - Good Cons: Cacio di Pepe - Dry with barely any sauce. Gnocchi Gorgonzola - The gnocchi were cooked well but the sauce was completely tasteless. As you know gorgonzola is a strong tasting cheese. I have no idea what was in the cream sauce in this dish. I took 2 bites and that was it. Service - Poor. The server did not come back to the table for 15 minutes after they served the entrees, so at that point, I sent the meal back and did not ask for a replacement. They removed the dish from the bill. If you are looking for pizza in a casual setting, this place is fine, but the pasta was below average. If you want good Italian food, there are at least 2-3 better options within 2 blocks. If you just want pizza, this place is fine, I suppose. Lastly, you can see from the other reviews that there are a lot of 5 star and 1-2 star reviews, so that indicates inconsistency. Ordered CAPRESE salad added arugula $24... seriously....also ordered a Cesar salad...resembled a ready made salad from the safeway to go case, again ..no shaved parmigiana cheese for it. I tried La Pizzeria in Cupertino (on Wolfe near Stevens Creek). It has opened relatively recently and friends highly recommended it. I ordered their Signature Pizza that consisted of tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, artichoke, Italian ham, mushroom, bell pepper & egg. The pizza was excellent!! One of the best I have eaten in the Bay Area. They typically serve thin crust pizza, which is precisely what I prefer. I am uncertain of the dimensions of the pizza. I think they serve just one size. I at the entire pizza. But the cost is a bit too high -- $25 + tax + tip. The waiter was cordial and pleasant. The décor is attractive and new (as of Oct 2022). Parking is in back and free. La Pizzeria has lunch specials, but they are only sandwiches and salads, unfortunately. Sandwich is about $18; salads are $16-22. The seafood pasta, which is my favorite type of pasta, is expensive at $34. My suggestion to the owner(s) is to 1) broaden the lunch specials to food items other than just sandwiches & salads 2) reduce the price of the pizzas and seafood pastas; 3) advertise cost reduction specials. read more

Very cute place in the heart of downtown Campbell with beautiful outdoor seating. Stopped in for a quick bite for dinner on a Saturday night, and the weather was really nice so decided to wait an extra 10 minutes to sit outside. The host was really nice and gracious, gave me a menu and showed me my waiting seat until the next table clears up. Within 8 minutes the waiter came by introduced himself as Nathan, and confirmed that the table is being cleaned up as we speak. A minute later they showed me to the table and gave me few recommendations on their favorite. I've decided to have a Caesar salad, came in a huge plate, very lightly dressing, generous portion of shaved Parmesan cheese, yummy, 4 small bread slices shapes like pizza wedges. Salad was fresh, crunchy and delicious. For the main meal I was craving something authentic yet comfort, so I ordered their lasagna. The portion was also very generous, enough for two people to share. It was executed perfectly, like something coming out of my Mom's Kitchen. It had several layers and the ricotta cheese was just the right amount. Nice melted mozzarella on the top with slight crusting around the edges of the plate. Their wine and alcohol selection was very tempting, but I've decided to hold back so I can try something from there desert menu. Everything on the dessert menu seemed delicious, but I've decided to try something new. I went for that torta primavera, which is a sponge cake with limoncello mascarpone cream cheese and shaved white chocolate. It was heavenly, very light sweet, with a hint of lemonechelo. I would have preferred a dash more on the liquor, but I could always pair it with a shot of it as well. Overall it was a 5-star experience that did not put a big dent in a wallet. It comes with artichoke hart's, red bell peppers, cheese, red sauce, ham and a egg with a wonderful runny yoke in the middle. The Pizza: cooked beautifully, crispy thin crust on the edges (the center was a bit soggy and the pizza was a little on the salty side, but still good) the flavor profile is good, they put a beautiful light sauce on the pizza that compliments the cheese and the YUMMY EGG. Excellent service and good dinner tonight. First time here. Meet two friends. They drink (I do not) and they were happy with their cocktails. Wonder seated outdoors as the weather was perfect. Downtown Campbell is a wonderful place to experience this restaurant. We were seated quickly. The staff made sure to check in a few times and patient as we ate slowing, enjoying our company and food. Went for the Spaghetti Bolognese. This a favorite of mine and this was well put together. It was a tad dry on the sauce, but the noodles were great and the meat plentiful. We've been coming to La Pizzeria almost every week for 8 years. Back when Simone (the owner) was on site, this was the best place in Campbell for a fun weekend night dinner with friends and family. Great food, great ambience and great service. Since 2022 when Simone moved to the Cupertino location, the service and the experience at the Campbell location completely tanked. I'm talking sitting for 20 minutes waiting for a server to just say the initial hello. And then 20 min longer to maybe get the waters and drinks ordered with a very high chance that only a few people in the party actually get their drink. And then 60-75 minutes before the first course comes out. And after that epic wait (with zero visits from the server to check in), the pizza comes out room temperature This has happened all 4 of our last visits. We stopped coming here altogether and then gave it one last chance tonight after 6 months. And it was the worst experience yet. The pizza is good, but be prepared for one of the worst experiences and worst service you've had. For a $20 pizza, it's just not worth it anymore. It was our first time eating here. We made reservation at 6:30 on a Sunday, but we were running late. We called in to let them know that we were running late, which they were very understanding and accommodating. When we arrived to the restaurant, they gave us the option to sit inside or outside. It was our first time (in a long time) doing indoor dining. Great local pizza place! This is my mom's favorite pizza place of all time. They have thin crust pizzas that come unsliced, great both in person, for takeout and for leftovers! Most recently, my mom and I got takeout. The pizzas came out on time (20 minutes after we ordered, very fast), were easy to pickup, pay for, and still hot! My mom ordered the Marco & Aurelio pizza (I tried a piece- amazing, perfectly spicy, and delicious). I tried pizza con patate pizza (I find potatoes on pizza so interesting and this one was flavorful, and fun, although I liked my mom's pizza more and have had better potato pizzas.) The prices for the portions are not bad at all at basically $10 per serving, I recommend checking it out! read more

Went to La Pizzeria tonight a little before 6 pm. We didn't have a reservation, but the place wasn't very full. There were a couple of tables with people. There was just two of us and when we asked to be seated, the hostess said they were booked up tonight for inside tables. She told us we could wait for an outside table or sit at the bar. We sat down at the bar and got mediocre service. The bartender was clearly spread too thin. He also didn't speak very loudly, which is not a good trait for someone doing that job. My wife ordered a glass of wine and it was challenging for her to communicate which one she wanted because again the bartender just didn't speak loudly enough. She got a glass of wine and he never asked what I wanted. I asked for a glass of water. We ordered food and it was ok. Mine was luke warm. Nobody offered us Parmesan cheese for our pasta. The most annoying part of this is that when we left around 45 minutes later, only about half of the tables had filled up. We could have sat at one of the tables and been out of there before any of the reservations showed up. I feel like this place has been going slowly downhill since Pino sold it years ago. read more

The new owners have clearly cut corners with the food and it shows yet they are charging more? The tricolore used to be my favorite dish, and now it tastes like nothing.
