So when I saw an interstate sign for Del Taco I veered off the highway on the exit. This turned out to be an excellent lunch stop. I had forgotten how good their burritos are, fresh ingredients and many choices. The beans are made fresh in house every day, slow cooked, and they are full of flavor. I ordered two bean and cheese burritos and they were huge! I saved one for dinner. I also ordered guacamole and chips, and the guac definitely tasted fresh. Much better than expected from a fast food restaurant. The employees were very friendly and the prices were certainly reasonable, especially considering the quality and quantity of food. The beef for the burritos and tacos were heavenly seasoned in which the staff should tell the customers that may have a food high allergy to certain food items instead carrying on with other staff members about going somewhere on vacation. When I got home, I realized they barely remade anything: - The grilled chicken burrito looked like a mini burrito - The two "large" loaded quesadillas had all the filling clustered in the middle what there was of them. Leaving nearly two-inch-wide bare tortilla rims. - All of the items had so little meat - you can say they didn't have any meat in them. - They forgot to include my bag of chips & salsa entirely.
