    Meat lover pizza (special)

Had a recent visit here. They have a nice covered outdoor area that is dog friendly, which we needed as we had our fur baby with us. I had the Braised Short Rib Paparadelle. I have to admit it was not what I was expecting. I'm used to dishes with this name served as a short rib ragu, with the meat shredded and mixed in a sauce/gravy over the pasta. This was different. Meat was sliced and layered over the pasta with spinach and cherry tomatoes. After I got past my initial "wait, is this what I ordered" shock, it was actually quite tasty. I would have liked the sauce a little thicker to stick to the pasta a little bit. But overall good. My wife ordered the Duck Confit pizza. Here's where things went a little off. She was served the Meat Lover which she started eating. She doesn't eat spicy and this was crazy spicy. Eventually we flagged down another waiter (ours disappeared for a bit) and asked if this is the Duck Confit and he said no, it's the Meat Lover. They did quickly make her what she ordered. Obviously, by the time her food arrived I was done eating. The Duck Confit pizza was very delicious. In summary, both our dishes were very good and the staff corrected the error as quickly as possible. I would consider going back and trying again. But, as there was a screw up in the order, I can't give more than 3 star.

    Absolutely demolished calamari and arancini.

Been coming here for years. Tonight, Sunday football. Sax player behind the bar...piano player in the bar, singer in the bar. Amazing. Loud. Amazing. If you don't like fun. Don't come. Tracy, our bartender joked with us about the noise and I was all for it. It's Sunday Funday!! Ordered the Arancini and Calarmari. Always amazing. The goat cheese in the arancini is FABULOUS. We ordered food slowly cause we were watching football but chose porchetta sandwich and sporko pizza! Amazing. Love this place. Used to come Friday. Now I'll come Sunday for Tracy, Chaz and the atmosphere!!!! Worked on a new drink with a server tonight but missed his name. It's amazing. Drink it!!

We love the bar scene and food. Limited seating at bat is the only negative. Service has always been good!

Love La Porta's food, the Caesar salad and Tuscan fries always make us happy, , but the live music is way too loud.

I enjoyed the osso bucco very much and had a hearty pasta appetizer. Service and wine excellent. Now in corona mode. 9/11/20 This weekend I enjoyed an outdoor experience there on a Friday. 9/11/20 There was a duo called Almost June playing outside. Great, mellow tunes and smooth voices. The beet salad was quite nice with fresh mozzarella instead of the typical goat's cheese. i also enjoyed the "torta" sandwich. It was a large, tasty crab-cake served burger style probably 6-7 oz. w lettuce tomato, garlic mayo, and some truly delicious fresh-cut fries w skin onI also enjoyed the lemoncello chicken served w fingerling potatoes, and haricot vert. My dining partner complained about our waitress who seemed not to wear a mask at all, even though she was running inside and back out. All other staffers had their masks on as far as I could see when they came our or when I visited the clean, indoor bathroom The inner dining rooms were also operating at what appeared to be full Corona capacity. She also complained that the chicken was dry, I did not agree. It may have been pre cooked for quick delivery upon ordering. The food came out super quickly so there must have been a great deal of advanced prep involved. I know my dining partner gave a bad review so I am giving a good one w constructive criticism I hope to return to La Porta Via and change my rating to 5 stars. I hope they invite Almost June to return and if they have other mellow music there I'd like to see and hear that too

Finally, a NOW OPEN flag was placed atop the sign so my lady and I pulled in to find it. Tucked in the back behind the office building you will find this deceptively small looking building that is actually very spaceous inside. On the shelves you'll find a number of italian specialty items: dried pastas, desserts, chips etc. In the cases you will find prepared foods, salads and sauces. The day we went in there was a refridgerator problem with the glass case and all the food items were stacked on top of each other in a case that worked. We grabbed some cooked stuffed shells and some tomato sauce to reheat for dinner the next evening. The sauce was tasty and fresh but sweeter than I like (tasted like sugar was used which I will never understand as the tomatoes are sufficient.) The shells were spectacular - absolutely delicious. Their website with a full menu is under construction and will be here soon. This is a welcome addition to us folks out here. Closer than Carlinos in West Chester yet more limited compared to the offerings you can get at Carlinos, La Porta Via does offer a solid number of items I intend to try.

First, the food was excellent, as it always is at this location. That's honestly something we've come to expect whenever we dine here. What really stood out this visit was the staff, especially our server, Jonathan B. We didn't have reservations, and we didn't make a big announcement about celebrating a birthday. Somehow Jonathan picked up on it and went out of his way to make my daughter feel special. Nothing felt forced or scripted. He was attentive, funny, personable, and seemed genuinely invested in making sure we had a great evening. Turning 21 is one of those milestone birthdays, and Jonathan helped make it memorable. The entire staff was warm and welcoming, and you could tell everyone genuinely cared about the guest experience. I also believe great staff are a reflection of great leadership, so credit is due there as well. Teams don't provide this kind of service by accident. It's clear there's a strong commitment to hospitality at this location, and it shows. Thank you to Jonathan and the entire team for helping make my daughter's birthday such a special one. We'll definitely be back.

They import and sell exclusively Italian wines, and they source their wines directly from farmers who are dedicated to organic farming practices. The tasting room is very comfortable and had plenty of seating for people on a Saturday night around 6. You can drop in for shopping (they offer all 50 of their wines in their bottle shop) or to hang out (they offer rotating flights, glasses of wine, and a build your own charcuterie board menu).
