Spectacular old-fashioned customer service from my and Husband's Waiter Mark! His hospitality and genuine kindness are unmatched! Also, the food from all Chefs including Melanie are 5-Star of excellence! This was our Wedding Anniversary dinner. Thank you so very much for such a romantic experience for us both! ‍

    What a breath taking view.

We came here for a romantic date night before our LA Phil concert. The server quickly took us to our table with a spectacular view. We ordered the Dine LA menu. All the servers are very attentive. The restaurants a very luxury and fancy vibe. The night view of LA gave it a mesmerizing feel. For starter, I ordered the lobster bisque. The soup is so rich and bold in taste. There are generous chunks of lobster. A great blend of cream/butter and seasoning. It paired perfectly with the sourdough warm bread with butter. For entree, I had the 8 oz.fillet which came with mash potatoes and grilled asparagus. I have never had such an amazing piece of steak. Very well seasoned. Crusty on the outside and crazily tender inside. For dessert, I had the chocolate mousse pate with berries sauce. The dessert is creamy, not too sweet and has some crispy in part of the mousse. No doubt, I finished it all! . Such an amazing restaurant. I hope you can give it a try! Top notch restaurant.

11-30-2025 LA Prime is amazing. The views, service, atmosphere, and staff are fantastic. The food is so delicious and fresh. HOT STARTER I had the traditional escargot in shell with maître d'hôtel butter. The butter flavor is so delicious. It is butter mixed with finely chopped parsley, lemon juice, and garlic. I love escargot, and many high-end restaurants in Los Angeles don't serve it. So when I saw LA Prime, I was like, " Oh man, I am getting that and I'm glad I did. Signature Steaks For the signature steaks, I got the 10-ounce filet mignon au poivre, brandy peppercorn sauce. I got it rare. Omg that was so delicious. The steak is so tender it melts in your mouth. The au poivre sauce was tasty. It adds flavors to the steak. It is made with crushed peppercorns, cream, and brandy, adding a bold and spicy kick to your dish. Sides For the sides, I got almost everything. The crispy Brussels sprouts with sage, hazelnuts, preserved lemon, and Parmesan. The Yukon gold-loaded mashed potatoes, smoked bacon, cheddar, and callions. The baby spinach in Parmesan cream sauce. The macaroni and Vermont white cheddar cheese au gratin, and the farm-fresh asparagus spears with Hollandaise sauce. Dessert I got the crème brûlée. It was so rich and creamy. The caramelized sugar on top was so good. You can actually crack it. It was delicious. Drinks They have a lot of drink options. They have a wide variety of wines.

We got stuck in some pre LA Marathon traffic and were about 1/2 an hour late for our reservation. Thankfully they were still able to accommodate us. This was my first time dining at this restaurant and hopefully not the last. Service was excellent from the hostess who adjusted our reservation and sat us to our server who promptly greeted us with a smile and menus. The view was great and the restaurant was so peaceful. I'm used to having to practically shout over loud raucous kitchen noise and other guests. Not here. It was so nice to relax and talk at a normal volume. We went the senior citizen route and shared filet minot and risotto because we had an event afterwards and would not be able to take leftovers. That was a good decision on our part because the servings were generous. Also had a delicious dirty martini and red wine. Perfect! Look forward to returning!

I think one of the most beautiful views of Los Angeles with one of the best cuisines too. We usually go there for my birthday or our anniversary, but this time we went to celebrate our group of friends from work... well, it was a pleasure!!! Our servers and friends Norma and Rafael and our chefs the su-chef Anselmo and the chef it was a Royal treatment!!! They all served 11 people and made us feel special... I had my usual onion soup and as the main, steak Au Poivre, my wife had the Shrimp scampi and a couple of side dishes and our beloved server Norma ordered Some Mexican Buñuelos for us... a unique night full of memories told and camaraderie!! Happy Holidays to everybody!!!

Such an amazing restaurant! The views are fantastic, exceptional service, and the food-wow! I love that they've taken the idea of the stuffy cold seafood tower and give you a warm option on a platter. It tastes so much better (how can you go wrong with drawn butter?!) and is way easier to navigate. They have an impeccable and expansive wine list. We had a great ZD Cabernet. The crab cake, steak tartar and Hamachi crudo were all excellent appetizers, the steak and salmon entrees were delicious, and the desserts were next level! This is a foodies paradise. Worth the drive if you are not staying downtown or just stay at the Bonaventure and take the elevator!

Staying in the Westin for work and heard about this rooftop restaurant from my Lyft. Stopped here by myself around 6pm on Sat. and got sweated quickly. I got a merlot paired with their signature 24 oz Delmonico Ribeye and a side of roasted Brussels sprouts. The steak was actually so good .. probably one of the best I've ever had. It was pretty fatty but not in a greasy way; definitely more melt-in-your-mouth style. The Brussels sprouts were nice and crispy but also very flavorful like they were cooked in some pork fat. I could only finish about half by myself because the portions are also GIGANTIC. Same for the chocolate cake dessert which was a HUGE but delicious slice. Rare to see a place actually worth the high price point. Service was also amazing and very friendly. The views are tough to beat!

This restaurant has been around for years and has a very old-school vibe. We stopped by randomly and found it quite interesting. The service was nice--there was a lady who reminded me of an aunty, talking a lot but very sweet, so you couldn't be annoyed. The waiters are all older and genuinely kind; it's clear they work very hard. The food was okay. The mac and cheese was a bit grainy, the steak was seasoned perfectly but overcooked (though the kitchen happily remade it), and the Brussels sprouts were burnt. Ceaser salad was good but could have been chopped or plated better. Honestly, this place has a lot of potential--the kitchen just needs to step up. The ambiance is classic and charming.

Excellent food. The manager Duke took very good care of my family and I. We went for my daughters 16th birthday and the whole time they made not just her feel special but my whole family. Our server mark was amazing!!!! The restaurant is always super clean and well taken care of. If you're a firs timer order the cream corn! The streak are so good but don't miss out on their chicken also! The beet salad is also soo good! Thank you Duke and Mark aka mario!

Our server was great and accommodating. We tried the Dine LA menu. The Filet Minon wasn't great unfortunately. It was 2 thin slices of meat on top of each other. I ordered medium but got well-done. The rib-eye was huge and delicious. Our table had a good view of downtown.

Came for DineLA but ended up ordering from the regular menu. Unfortunately we weren't that impressed with the food. The steak was overcooked (was supposed to be medium rare), the soup was good, and the gumbo was so far from gumbo it should be called cioppino. The seafood was very overcooked and way too acidic (too much tomato). I can say the staff is sweet and our waiter was kind. The ambiance is nice but outdated; the view is stellar though. Probably won't be back anytime soon unless they get bought out or obtain new management.

Had to work over the weekend and got lodging at the Bonaventure Hotel. Of course we had to try Prime LA. Our first time here, was told that it's a steakhouse, but we were in the mood for seafood. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The view was amazing. The atmosphere was good but too quiet, would have been better with some music in the background.

What a wonderful experience. Beautiful view and food was delicious. I forgot our servers name but she was so kind and helpful. She recommended a strawberry lemon drop which was so yummy! Order a few apps and sides to share. Escargot was delicious and we enjoyed the Mac and cheese. Scallops cooked to perfection! Prime rib was also a must try!

Can we do a party of at least 13 people?

It's a pretty open space and they have a private room as well.

Any kids menu? Can we share dishes?

There isn't a kid's menu. But I had my boys split a steak and ordered sides as everything is a la carte

    What is the Cork fee?

    $40.

As of January 2022 do children above 5 need to be vaccinated to attend?

    Is there free bread?

Yes. It gets even better though they serve pretzel bread too. All for 0 cents well priced into your bill already trust me but yes there's no line charge on your bill

Are they requiring vaccination cards when dining here?

Yes they are. Or you can show a negative pcr test taken within 3 days

Is this place open? And if they are what days?

May 6 will be the first day of reopen.

Is this restaurant good for a company sit down dinner? Approx 20ppl

Are all the seats by the window and how much should I expect to spend for my wife and I?

How much could I expect to spend for my girlfriends birthday here?

About $120, I took my wife and daughter and we spent $170.

I'm confused is this a different place than the rotating Westin Bonaventure restaurant?

The restaurant doesn't rotate but the cocktail lounge does rotate. The cocktail lounge is located about 1 floor down from LA Prime. There are stairs you can take in the restaurant that will lead you down to the rotating lounge. Hope this helps!

    What's the dress code?

I don't think they enforce a dress code. Some where dressed up and some had on jeans and tennis shoes.

How is the price there? Do they have fixed price?

It's comparable to Ruth's Chris, Morton's or Fleming's, which is to say pricey. About $60.00/person before drinks and appetizers and dessert. There was a price fixe menu for Valentine's day and it was $150.00/person without tip. With drinks and tip,… Read more

What is the average amount people spend at this restaurant? I'm going with my boyfriend, and we're not planning to drink any alcohol.

I would say it depends on what steak you're getting but average $95, no alcohol.

    Should guests be 21+?

No. However, you do have to be mature. There are people dining here who want a nice, quiet dinner or lunch out.

Do I have to make a reservation for dinner?

Walk in should be fine but it's better to make a reservation before you go

    What is the age requirement?

They have a bar area that rotates slowly for a full view of the city. This area is not OK for under 21. The remainder (larger part) has no age restriction.

Is there age limit after a certain hour in restraint to have dinner?

I don't think so. Why don't you call the Restaurant.

The menu is New American with Chinese influences served as a four-course prix fixe set, with each course having three choices, and optional additions are available. (There is an à la carte menu available in the bar area.) I went very carnivorous on my selections, choosing the beef tongue carpaccio, duck sausage, and beef short rib. There was not a bad dish among these: The tongue was tender, soft, and delicate. The duck sausage was fantastically good as well; served with an apple jam atop Swiss chard, it was a sort of Chinese-Alpine fusion cuisine of which I never envisioned but instantly wanted more. While delicious, the short rib was overshadowed by its cabbage accompaniment. My server told me it takes four days to make that dish, and I would have happily ordered a full dish of just that. The kaffir lime curd dessert was light and balanced, perfect after the heavier meat courses and like a small vacation to Thailand on a plate. The one dish I did not love was the Chongqing fried chicken course I added. The chicken itself ― a boneless leg quarter ― was a large portion and well-prepared, but the sauce covering it was a thick layer of chilis (which, thankfully, were not inedibly hot) and straight oil, lots of oil. Eating so much oil like that made for gastrointestinal discomfort the rest of the night. The soy pickles helped cut the greasiness a bit, but they weren't vinegary enough to get that level of oiliness off the palate. The duck fat rice, though quite good, also did not help much given its fattiness. Given the chance, I definitely would have requested the oil-sauce on the side. I did appreciate the crunchiness of the batter, which never went soggy despite being soaked in that oily puddle for a long time. I did not find any wines by the glass that bowled me over, so I stuck to cocktails, which were good. Service was warm, personable but not intrusive, and brisk, while the room has the comfortable feel of a mid-century modern den complete with well-worn cookbooks on the shelves lining the walls. I would happily return to try the bar menu with cocktails or when the prix fixe options change. At $68 for four courses, Firstborn's prix fixe is one of the best fine dining offers in L.A. right now, and it makes a trek up to Chinatown worthwhile.

Still stands-up to the hype after all these years…read more If "Trendy" was a restaurant, Bestia would easily be in top contention, even after being around for more than a decade. That says a lot. Once upon a time (a few years ago), my CFP + banking institution wanted to thank me for being one of their top private clients. They expressed their gratitude with a very generous, all expense paid full-course meal at Bestia. To say that I was impressed would be an understatement. Fast forward to now, I knew that coming back here would be a good idea. Make no mistake, even if you try to book a reservation several weeks in-advance, don't be surprised if the only available seats are at the counter. Granted, I was in a spacey table during my past visit, the counter can be an enjoyable & unintentionally entertaining space. It's great for a more casual vibe, as you get to see some of the kitchen workers put together some of their signature dishes. In many ways, Bestia seems like a microcosm of the city that it rather humbly resides within. What always catches me off-guard, is that the surrounding simple area really doesn't reflect the happening, vibrant, night-life that resides within the building's walls. You feel like you're taken so a different, very social, very bustling world. WINE: Podere 72, Poderi San Lazzaro (Marche region, central Italy) - 8.7 / 10 A very robust blend of Montepulciano & Sangiovese grapes that results in a balanced, medium bodied red wine that stands-up to heartiness of a beef ribeye steak. FOOD: Roasted Bone Marrow - 9.4/ 10 I have several friends that go here just for this particular dish. Funny enough, one can almost always tell that one is at Bestia because of the rather peculiar manner in which this dish is served. Hot, melted bone marrow is appropriately scooped out of the bone & poured onto spinach gnocchetti. It's like eating beef flavored mouth pillows of potato + spinach. It's definitely a dish that will impress whoever you are with. I can never resist ordering this whenever I am here. Oxtail alla Vaccinara - 8.9 / 10 The deep, rich maroon color of the rigatoni (thanks to beets) is a sight to behold. The pasta is firm but not too hard. It's a humble yet complex pasta dish that complements any main course. 26oz Margaret River Wagyu Ribeye - 9.4 / 10 Anybody who knows me knows that I love my ribeye. Any decent fancy restaurant does a ribeye. But no one does a ribeye quite like Bestia. The fermented mushroom cream delivers a punch of pungence not unlike a delectable dijon mustard, but to the highest of levels. This dish also makes me a believer in well-cooked onions served alongside steak. I usually like to take a home a portion of ribeye for later, but this is one of the very few instances when the steak is so good, that I can't help but finish it here. Again, the portion is more than enough to be shared. Fromage Blanc Mousse - 9.1 / 10 This seasonal dish hits all the right notes. It's the fanciest of cheesecakes, so I recommend sharing this. With its decadence, a little truly goes a long way & that's perfectly fine. The richness of the cheese is offset perfectly by the right balance of candied kumquats. A great "bite" to end on. Huge shout-out & thanks to Radu for being the nicest & most enthusiastic of servers. It's little things like him being so down to take pics of you with your party that really make me want to come back here. It the owners / management is reading this, please recognize how pivotal he is to your team. If he was working under me, I would most definitely give him a raise. Also, shout-out to Dani at the hostess stand. She is one of the most personable people. For being the first person that patrons see upon entering, she is the perfect face, attitude, & welcoming personality that the hospitality industry is in dire need of. She's a rockstar of a hostess & a pleasure to talk with. Bestia is a better place because of valuable employees like Radu & Dani. As always, come for the food. Come back for the service. I would definitely come back because of how amazing Radu & Dani are. Years after the hype, the vibe is still very much happening at Bestia.

Bestia was unfortunately very overhyped. The restaurant encourages ordering shareable plates, but…read morethe portions were extremely small, and the food itself was just okay--not bad, but nothing memorable. The biggest disappointment was the service. Our server was unwilling to accommodate even simple requests. One friend in our group doesn't drink, and when we asked if her mocktail could be served in a cocktail glass so she could feel included, he simply said no. He also refused to make an espresso martini despite having the ingredients available. To make matters worse, one of our dishes never arrived. When we brought it up, the server responded, "I asked you if it came out and you said yes," instead of apologizing for the mistake. Afterward, he took the bill and appeared to be talking negatively about our table. For a restaurant with such a stellar reputation, I expected much better. Between the tiny portions, average food, and poor service, I won't be back
