CHRISTIE!!! Amazing amazing experience here!! Food was delicious apps to the drinks to dessert just everything!! Views are my favorite and this spot definitely has an amazing one!! Service by Christi Dayzi and the whole team was just amazing from the second I walked in and made my whole experience so fun and happy!! Very relaxed spot checked traffic and was not about to drive 3mph so what better place to stop and let it die down by having a nice view great food and drinks and even better service!! Thanks to the amazing chef for letting me order the delicious dessert from the restaurant next door that I really wanted!

We went here for our Annual Friendsmas Dinner last Saturday night and had such a great time! First, this restaurant is everything you would want to have a holiday dinner, located inside the Ritz Carlton on the 24th floor, this place offers views of DTLA we all love. Our party of 10 were seated right away and ordered cocktails while we looked at the menu. Their cocktails were good, strong just the way I like it (I only took a sip of my friend's drink haha)! The food is tapas style but the entree portions were huge! Most of the girls ordered the branzino, one couple ordered the chicken and we ordered/shared the ceviche and the barbacoa. Everything was so delicious! The table also ordered all three types of empanadas to share (spinach, prime beef and mushrooms), and they were all very good. We topped off dinner with cappuccinos and lots of photos and had a memorable time together. Quick tip: opt for valet parking, super easy and convenient, and the restaurant also validates! Happy eating and Merry Merry to all!

Always Great Service and Great food! I love eating here and when they made the menu changes I was apprehensive but everything I tried new was absolutely delicious. Lobster Ceviche, Scallop Tostada with the Salmon roe, and the new Chicken!!!!! I forgot what it was called but praises to the chef for making it. Thank you for keep the great ceviche decoco so good.

View was great . Food was great . Service was not good. You get a half cup of water and they do not concern themselves with coming to fill it back up . Had to beg for water multiple times. The guacamole was a great potion and there was still some left over after finishing the small amount of chips you get in proportion to the guac. We asked for more chips, usually a person would say there is an additional charge for that, that didn't happen but we found out later on that there was an additional charge. We also came for happy hour and we were not charged happy hour prices! We tried to wait to inform our waiter of the mistake but again we were waiting forever and just paid and left .

Great view and cocktails! I love it when a place gives you some tasty snacks when ordering drinks. Now the drinks were not cheap, so nice to come with something, but it is a Ritz so expected ($21-$26). We already ate but wanted to try a dish since we were there. So happy we did! The Anticuchos was perfectly prepared and tender. I would come back just for that. Kay was fantastic. Great spot to stop in if you are in the area.

Last minute text message on NYE
    A. Z.

We booked a table for NYE well in advance. At 2:30 pm on NYE we get a text message that the menu is only Prix Fixe and the alternative is bar bites. No where on Resy did it say that it was prix fixe only when we made the reservation. Upon calling them the response was a "yeah it is what it is" and no apologies for screwing up our NYE. Is this the Ritz or a Holiday Inn? Terrible management and customer service. I've attached their text message as well.

Half chicken (highly underseasoned) and Arepas

Corteza at Sendero, up on the 24th floor of the Ritz Carlton in downtown Los Angeles, is quite the spot. We came here after an event at the Grammy Museum, and even though it was late, they had a couple of reservations available via the Resy app. The place definitely has beautiful views of the city, especially at night, being up on the 24th floor really gives you those panoramic sights. It's spacious and airy, though it felt slightly dated, which I guess makes sense considering the Ritz Carlton was built maybe over 10 years ago now. The food, I believe, is South American - maybe Argentinian or Honduran, or just a mix of different South American cuisines. We ordered the Arepas, but they also had empanadas, chimichurri, steak, and Iberico pork on the menu. Everything was very pricey. Drinks were above $20 each, and entrées were easily above $40 something, which you'd expect at an in-house Ritz Carlton Hotel restaurant. That being said, we also ordered the half chicken. My wife loved the Arepas, but for $29 and only getting two very, very small slider-sized ones, it's probably not worth the value. The half chicken I ordered came with two roasted sweet potatoes, some chimichurri on the side, a couple of roasted spring onions, and a cherry tomato. The chicken, as well as the roasted sweet potato, were both highly under-seasoned. Just two days prior, we had some roasted chicken from Stonefire Grill, a very affordable family-style restaurant in the Valley, and its seasoning was exponentially better than this roasted half chicken that boasted a price of $49. Overall, while the view was nice and the place was spacious, the service was just okay, and the food was bland. It's honestly not a place I'd return to or take my wife on a second date.

Excellent service and good ambiance. The views are so beautiful and food is really good

A couple visits and both were outstanding. Accommodating and hospitable. I felt like I belonged and was welcomed. Thank you for that!

Breakfast Burrito: SUPER BLAND: the salsa and hot sauce gave it a little flavor
    Harout C.

The prices are outrageous, the portion are disgustingly small, I could get a breakfast burrito at Del Taco bigger for $5 vs this tiny ass thing for $25 Flavor was bland AF, only flavor I got was from the salsa condiments

My boyfriend surprised me with a Christmas Eve date night dinner here. The space is great and the view is even better. Our server was very attentive and made sure we ordered just the right amount. We started with three ceviches. They were all great and so different! I think the coconut milk in the hamachi was our favorite. But the complexity of the plum and scallop with the aji amarillo in the tiradito was delightfully surprising. And the tart brightness of the yuzu paired so well with the prawn and heat in the aguachile. The duck confit arepas were so good, especially with the lemon crema. Sadly the octopus was a bit overcooked which made it chewy. The Y Tu Tia Tambien was an excellent addition to the meal.

The type of bar you choose is important. But sometimes, the Bar Chooses You! Bar Magnolia quietly enters the chat. It was October 11th, 2025 and my wife & I just checked into Hotel Figueroa in DTLA. (EPIC REVIEW Coming Soon!!!) While we were waiting for our room to be ready, we decided to check out the Hotel Bar Lounge... First thought, Color me Impressed! High ceilings, Natural lighting, classy decor, comfy couches... Yeah, take your time with that room, we'll wait! So we plopped down onto their sofa, waited for a cocktail menu, and let the "we left the kids at home with Grandma; let's enjoy being kid-free for the night begin". $18.00 cocktails....Lets Goooo!! Looking back at the Photos, I can't exactly recall what we ordered... Was it a whiskey sour? Was it a paper plane?? Honestly, Who cares! They tasted great. I was sitting across from a beautiful woman. And we were responsibly adulting. What more could a guy ask for?? I'm glad you asked! After a long car ride in, sipping on water, then the first few sips of my cocktail, I suddenly had to go... Luckily, the restrooms are located just adjacent to the bar area and DAMN are they clean!! Hey, if a bar restroom is well taken care of, you know the place has Class.... And Bar Magnolia has the Class to Match! Of course, there is bar stool seating at the bar... Middle Man (Aka waiting for your server to come check back in) In addition to the bar top stools, there are also low top tables, and a few couch-chairs with a low top table for more intimate conversations. Besides those $18 craft cocktails, a short, well Curated list of bubbles, vino and draft beers are all up for grabs. Unfortunately, we had stopped to eat before we arrived (bad move on our part), but next time, and THERE WILL BE A NEXT TIME, we will definitely partake in their food menu (cause damn, did it look GOOD!) So whether you are a guest of Hotel Figueroa, you are leaving the Crypto Arena after a concert and want to paint the town red, or you are simply just wanting to sit, relax and enjoy a nice cocktail at a classy, upscale, but not so pretentious Cocktail Lounge... Bar Magnolia is your place! Well, it's almost closing time, they are about to call for Last Call, so order us another round, bottoms up and Cheers to us!!!

If you're going to change your happy hour, update your website and train your staff to handle it professionally. I shouldn't have to argue with a bar over their own posted information. I finally was able to check it off, thanks to a hotel offer with a dining credit. Dahlia is the gorgeous petite space behind the larger ground floor restaurant space now called Cabrillo (formerly Caldo Verde). Dahlia opened as a bespoke cocktail lounge, then began to offer tea. Now it's just tea. There are five 2-tops and two 4-top tables. All food and beverage venues at the Proper used to be under the auspices of famed chef Suzanne Goin and her business partner/sommelier Caroline Styne. They are no longer affiliated with the Proper, but many of their dishes/contributions remain. The last named vestige of them is on the tea menu, "Suzanne's Deviled-Egg Sandwich". The tea menu has several options: Classic, with a seasonal mocktail, or with different champagnes. I opted for the Classic experience, because the mocktail had mocha, not my fave. Server Lluvia was clearly a Dahlia veteran; she offered a tea-smelling of all the teas that interested me as well as crowd favourites. I ultimately chose one of these faves, Mad Hatter's Tea Party, which had passionfruit and vanilla. I declined milk/cream, but did get lemon. There were rock sugar sticks on the table. It seems the selection of tea sandwiches and sweet treats changes every so often, although the vanilla bean scone, dried currant scone, Devonshire cream and apricot orange jam seem like constants. The sandwich selection at my visit were: cucumber, crab/creme fraiche, beet hummus on pita, smoked salmon and Suzanne's deviled egg. All were delish, the beet, crab and deviled egg especially. The sweet treats were: orange fig butter cookie, spiced apple brown butter crumble, cranberry frangipane hand pie, chocolate mocha macaron, pumpkin madeleine, plus the 2 scones. All were excellent. There were no leftovers. A bit pricey, but a relaxing and lovely experience. The room was not crowded when I visited, adding to the calmness of my visit.
