Having been here for several special occasions and several quick lunches, and some to-go orders, I can easily say this is my favorite restaurant locally. Somewhere between good and ok. The wait staff was all great, really friendly and brought the food out pretty quickly, so that was great. The food itself was ok for some of the dishes and good for some of them. The best thing, which we actually were not surprised by, was the croissant and jam. The burger was on a great tasting bun (again, not surprising since it's a bakery) but the burger itself was just ok. The french toast with bananas and the one with raspberries were both pretty good, but the regular egg breakfast with hash browns and sausage was pretty basic, not bad, not amazing. Not sure that I'd go again, but worth a try just for the croissant. read more

Ordered the strawberry pistachio praline French toast and a side of bacon, my daughter ordered the Chefs omelette with hash browns. Our waiter was very attentive, food came in a timely manner. My husband brought me here for my birthday and it was a lovely experience. I had polenta cakes and he had a quinoa, salmon salad. Both were delicious and the service was fantastic. Had an excellent time celebrating my mother-in-law's birthday over breakfast. We were able to snag a table with no wait at all on a Sunday morning. There are plenty of vegetarian options, and our food came out with lightning speed. The food is very rich, so be prepared to take home leftovers. Despite a packed dining room, the quality of food and efficiency of the staff were not compromised. Our server was busy going up and down stairs and was always smiling and checking in on us. When the server was faced with multiple cards at the end of our meal, we insisted on covering the bill for the due to the birthday. When he came back with our receipt, he also brought a pavlova with a candle, which was such a sweet gesture. We live a short distance from the Alberta location of this restaurant, but will be making the trip to Vancouver due to the excellent service and amazing food we received. read more

Love this frou frou place because it's friendly, frenchy, and just bougie enough to make our brunch loving hearts happy. We were seated immediately because we came just right before the line started. Our server Sofia was so attentive and kind. What a treasure! She brought out two pots of cream so each of us didn't have to share. Love it! Almost as soon as we ordered, the food came out. Table turnover must be insane with that type of speed. I got the Eggs Benedict and a coffee. The benedict on a croissant was okay, but the hollandaise was a little too vinegary and not as creamy as I'd like. Also I wish the croissant was a little more buttery, but at least it wasn't doughy. The potatoes also were soft instead of being pan fried and crispy which is what I was expecting, so I barely made a dent in it. Sis got the Ultimate Polenta which she liked and the Tea Black Lavendar which she loved. We were too full to try the pastries, but they make it easy if you want it. Sofia asked if we wanted something from the case so we could avoid getting in line for pastry. So thoughtful and a smart way to bump that bill up, so kudos for being efficient. But if we changed our mind, there wasn't a line at the pastry case so they make it really easy to get what you want when you want because they are working at machine precision to keep people moving. read more

It's Mother's Day, and we set out to make it such for my wife. It started great, we showed up and they had a wait time of about 1.5h which is to be expected especially today with no reservation. We are lucky that they have a park next door. So our daughter was so excited to be able to play. At the park about an hour I decided to walk over and check wait time and grab us some drinks and treats as we wait. Grabbed the Sunset & Envy Juice to go. This is our usual & absolutely delicious a must try if you decide to go. Grabbed some macarons and the banana Nutella pastry. We finally get seated, I ordered a Sugar free Vanilla latte, wife ordered the Chai latte. BLT: The Potato Salad was sweet and not very good we only said that to waitress at the end. She still asked if we wanted to box it up. The Banana & Walnut French toast was good however. What really turned it for the worst is one gesture that really soured us. Our waitress we had watched over and over again, take little baggies of Macarons to customers and say Happy Mother's Day. Now my wife isn't super sensitive and doesn't complain. However she was so excited and was patiently waiting for her turn. With our little one in tow, it was pretty obvious she was a mother. She didn't receive the same courtesy and politeness as the others and this alone will keep us from returning. We come often, and this was pretty upsetting and really brought the day down for our family. Juice 9/10 Food 6/10 Atmosphere 6/10 Service 2/10 really missed the mark. In all, we won't be coming back. I was searching for restaurants in Vancouver with outdoor seating around the 192nd. This was my first time here. We came at 11am on a Thursday. They were busy! For a week day at 11am they were packed. Indoors and out. By the time I arrived at the restaurant my friend had already gotten us outdoor corner seating which was perfect. She had an hour lunch so we met for a quick chat. This restaurant is a vibe. We started out with mimosas. I got a margarita and a pastry as I was not very hungry. My girl friend got the pancakes. She has been here many times and usually orders the eggs Benedict. We will be back when I'm hungry. The drinks were really yummy, they had an endless option of mimosa and margarita flavors. I tried the hibiscus mimosa and not remembering which flavor margarita lol. I think it was guava? Their pricing is not bad. Not cheap, not expensive either. The drinks came presented beautifully with the flower touch. Our server was amazing. I can't remember her name. Older lady with dirty blonde hair I believe. She was really busy with other tables yet very attentive to everyone making sure she made her rounds. Her attitude and service is top notch. I hope we get her again. It's in the parking lot of a hotel and apartment complex. Next to it is a brewery. If you ever have a wait for your table you could hop over for a drink. read more

And I ordered eggs on the Eggs Benedict to be no runny whites due to pregnancy and they instead just did full on hard boiled eggs which was pretty gross. I absolutely love all Provence locations, from the small one in The Dalles to the larger ones like this one in Vancouver. I try and taste as many things as I can on their incredible menu but my favorite, that always calls my name, is the Monte Cristo sandwich. It's sweet and savory and grilled to perfection! A side of their croissant with raspberry jam is another must for me it so flaky and the jam slightly tart it melts you. I 100% recommend this place for a simple breakfast, group gathering or a special occasion, it truly is a place for all of them. There was a 20 to 25 minute wait which ended up being about 35 minutes. The food came incredibly quick, but it came before our drinks, which was odd. I had to go ask for ketchup from someone that worked within the restaurant which they had to hunt down a bottle. Considering how big the restaurant is i'm surprised ketchup wasn't brought to the table by our server or was just sitting on the table. My friend got the crispy risotto with the house potatoes. His meal was really good. I asked for extra crispy hashbrowns, because every restaurant crisps just the outside then you have mushy potatoes on the inside. I did not receive them extra crispy. Also, the hollandaise sauce on the Benedict was lacking acid and salt. I honestly didn't care for my meal but I was starving so I did eat it. They give you a free croissant at your table. It was really good although the jam they give you was sitting out for some time because the croissant couldn't even break the skin to dip. Apple turnover and pistachio croissant I got to go, apple turnover wasn't anything great but the pistachio croissant was amazing! My aperol spritz I couldn't really taste the cider. It tasted just like an aperol spritz, I won't get it again. Ambiance - there were a ton of employees, I can imagine, because Sunday is a very busy day, which it was, but it was a bit chaotic and overwhelming. This review is for the bakery only. Stopped in for some pastries. I've been to the one in Portland off Division St, so when I found out they have a location in Vancouver, I just had to stop in! There is a decent sized parking lot; however, it's near a strip mall with Hopworks and a Marriott hotel, so the shared parking lot gets extremely busy on the weekends. The restaurant building is very French looking with the gold namesake in large font on the front, also making it extremely easy to find. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We ended up ordering about 8 macarons, a hazelnut eclair, marionberry cheesecake, and lemon tart. Everything was absolutely delicious! Pricing was decent, too. Overall charge was $38. We're looking forward to coming back and trying their breakfast! Would definitely recommend. read more

Another great visit to La Provence. I typically go the Orenco location, but I met a friend for French Onion soup and we met close to where he lived. The food and service was the same...and that is excellent. S I started with a Tito's and grapefruit juice as I was waiting for my friend to arrive. I love the garnish that was used. We each had the French Onion Soup and it was phenomenal. We also enjoyed the fantastic croissant and raspberry jam with our soup. He had never been to La Provence and he was very impressed. Our server, (his name wasn't on the receipt) was also extremely friendly and engaging. He was taller, had a beard and wore glasses. We then went to the dessert area and picked up some fun for the evening. The Lemon Tart and the Fresh Fruit Tart was enjoyed by the group who joined in the evening. TL;DR: get the croissant instead of toast. Try a pastry -- come on you made it all the way here! Location: smack dab in the middle of a hotel parking lot. Parking: lot shared with hotel. Atmosphere: upstairs dining has less people (6 tables). Music is drowned out by echoing conversations and the clanging of utensils and dishware. There is a formidable pastry case up front to ogle at while you are waiting to be seated. ;) Menu: short and descriptive. Surprising number of gluten free options here! Though very little things are dairy free. Service: wait to be seated (dining options are: bar, outdoors, upstairs, or first level), order at the table, you will be watered, food brought to you, leftover boxes available upon request, check brought to you, pay at the table. Breakfast Favorites come with a slice of whole wheat or or sour dough OR a croissant. They both come with a small ramekin of raspberry compote; the toast also comes with a small wrapped pat of butter. Wild Northwest Salmon Hash: got the medium poached eggs, they came smaller than expected but still tasted great with the slightly runny yolk. The salmon was a bit on the salty side but the potatoes were not very flavored so they were a nice palate cleanser between bites. The micro greens added a nice crispness to each bite. The sauce was a bit on the tangy side but paired well with the salmon. Chef's Omelette: got the hash browns as a side and... that's a lot of protein and carbs haha. Very filling. I think getting the butternut squash and potatoes or the fresh fruit as a side would have been a wiser choice because the meal already comes with 2 slices of toast. The omelette is very tasty and flavored on its own with its contents so you probably won't need to reach for any seasonings. Croissant: flaky, buttery, crisp and oh so satisfying. I love how large it is too. The small ramekin of raspberry compote was a nice touch to the buttery croissant and added just the right amount of sweetness and tang to pair with the buttery layers. read more

Reading the other reviews has got me feeling fomo big time. I was really pumped to finally come here for brunch and it was... fine. Maybe I came in with expectations too high. The food was out to us within five minutes of ordering which has it's pros and cons. Pros: it was fast. Cons: I wish they took more time to prepare it right. The potatoes in the salmon hash was not crispy at all. Soggy city. There was an overwhelming amount of dill sauce on it. Sadly, it overpowered the entire dish. The cornbeef hash wasn't salted. The BLT came to the table with no B. Sent back and they had a new one to me within 2 minutes but with a cold egg. And the pesto was unfortunately pretty bland. The drinks and croissants we ordered came to the table after the food. I hate being so negative but it was *rough* today. That being said, the croissants are NEXT LEVEL good. Definitely order them. And the fruit today (pineapple, cantaloupe, and honey dew) was fantastic. I might just stick to the pastries when visiting in the future and not wait in a long line for a disappointing dining experience. read more

We sat outside, it was nice for a hot day! Along the outskirts you do sit on a concrete wall. I got the monty crisco (?) sandwich and I can honestly say I've never tasted anything like that. It was a meat Sammy that was them French Toasted?? Very sweet!! Very. It was really good and I'm glad I experienced it, but it was a lot of flavors happening. Definitely get a croissant with their raspberry jam! Then buy a jar of raspberry jam to obsess over for the next week while you put it on everything! Prices are a bit spendy. I ate every bite and I usually have a hard time clearing a whole plate at a restaurant. Not honest with pricing of side cup of soup and bread; we were charged $11.95. Mentioned we were celebrating a birthday; was ignored. Even verbally tried to inform her, and she was rude. Then she was going to seat me in a half booth. Chairs on one side and a comfy cushion seat on the other. I requested the full booth next to this booth. She said "help yourself". and walked away. Not helping me with the placements or heavy menu's. Just rude!!! Busy mornings here on weekends. There's usually a wait too, so come early. There is a lot of parking surrounding here which is wonderful. The building and restaurant is modern and gorgeous, great for brunch, dates, meals with family and more. They have a separate dine in and bakery entrance that helps with the flow. The bakery has a variety of pastries, desserts, coffee and tea. The croissants is definitely one of my favorites here and their raspberry jam! You can even buy a jar of it here. The croissant is flaky and buttery. I was able to order take out from here and it was very smooth and quick. The staff were very sweet and updated me about my order when I arrived to pick it up. I got a cubano Benedict, La Provence Benedict and a Chorizo Hash Scramble. The hollandaise sauce for the Benedict's had a bit too much lemon in it so it was a bit sour. The croissants they use for the Benedict instead of English muffins make it more rich, but their croissants are delicious. The eggs were poached perfectly and the yolk was runny when you cut into it. The hash browns were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The chorizo hash scramble had a wonderful flavor on it. Loved the black beans and was able to substitute toast with a croissant. read more

We did have to wait a bit for the food to come but it was worth it. Our main entree was the salmon hash which was really good and quite filling. Super yummy. I love the pastries here. The coconut chocolate chip cookies are so delicious and so is the blueberry brioche. I like the salmon hash with the dill sauce on the side. I stopped in for brunch right before a flight and it was well worth it. I ordered the gingerbread chai latte and chicken fried steak. Both were fantastic! The latte was so creamy and the perfect sweetness. The chicken fried steak was delicious and I really liked the sauce and hashbrowns that came with. Our server was super sweet.
