My favorite Mexican restaurant -- period. I recommend their carnitas and their chicken quesadilla. =) The owners are also extremely nice people. One time, my family and I had stopped by with the intention of having dinner there, but there was a sign on the door that said that they were closed for a private party. So we headed back over to the car, but before we had a chance to get back in the car and leave, the owner called us back and let us in. Im obsessed with this place. I live in the city (chicago) and Im so sad I dont have one closer. I have friends who live in NW IN so whenever I come visit we go here. The steak quesadilla is to die for, and their queso cannot be beat. Their salsa hits the spot every time, and let me just say the owner is fabulous. He is so nice, always checks on the guests and asks if everything is ok. Never had a bad meal. Have eaten here maybe 20 times and will continue to make the once-a-month trip with my roomate from the city for our "special dinner" here :) Ever since I brought her back some leftovers.. she begs me to take us there once a month lol. I thought this place was FANTASTIC. I figured I'll try just a STEAK BURRITO and start from there. As soon as I sat down I realized the place wasn't that busy (is this a good sign?) so that means service should be pretty fast - and it was. The host sat me down, I asked if they served alcohol. The host informed me that they DID NOT serve alcohol, but their licensed was coming April 1st. I ordered a Pepsi and just a STEAK BURRITO and waited with a basket of tortilla chips and a bowl of salsa that was almost instantly brought to the table. When the STEAK BURRITO came it looked and smelled delicious. I cut it open and took a picture. When I took that first bite I was surprised to see that AVOCADO was added to my STEAK BURRITO...that never happens. AVOCADO is usually an extra fifty cents to one dollar when added to a STEAK BURRITO. This didn't cost anything extra...RIGHT ON! I'll definitely be back (that's for sure) and I recommend this Mexican restaurant to any person who loves a Mexican cuisine. read more

This is a nice clean and friendly local Mexican place. Service is always prompt and the food always hot. We eat here probably about 3 times a month at least. I really like their kids menu which has American and Mexican food available. My younger son, who doesn't usually like Mexican food, loves some of their kid friendly Mexican dishes. Looked for mexican last night, this place is right around the corner. Stopped in to order take out and everyone was very helpful. Food was ready very quickly. I had the Snapper tacos. The shells were fresh, everything was very good. Wife had the Quesadilla Fajita. She loved it. Beans and rice were good, Chips were fresh, some were a tad undercooked. First time dinning here. We started with the fresh salsa then added a small guacamole with fresh still warm chips (all of it was amazing). My wife ordered a Chicken Burrito (she loved it) I had the Enchilada Supreme (which had four different fillings) I didn't find one I didn't like. La Quesadilla is one of my go to restaurants when I'm in the area. Their chips, salsa, and queso are all a great way to start your meal. The takeout experience has been as good as the in restaurant experience since switching to carry out. There's plenty of food for the price of entrees, and I'm particularly a fan of their quesadillas and chili rellenos. The one issue I have is that the refried beans that come as a side order are not my favorite, and I prefer to order double rice instead for entrees that come with rice and beans. read more

Vegan options are fabulous! It is so wonderful to find a Mexican restaurant that doesn't use chicken stock or butter in the rice, doesn't use lard in the beans, and doesn't add milk or milk powder to the guacamole! They also don't use peanut oil (if that is an allergy concern). read more

This place is no good. Took 10 minutes for someone to get us drinks, another 10 minutes for someone to take our order and then we waited 30 minutes for our food. The food came out cold and not even what we ordered. Never coming back. The only thing I liked was the queso. 10/10 for the queso. read more

This was the most non-mexican, mexican resturant ever. The food is completely americanized as far as mexican food is concerned. It was dry and tastesless I ordered a pick-up order, when i showed up they over charged me by 10 dollars, then I found out the charge for containers...not just that but the menu on the internet does not reflect what the prices actually are. You would think after this mistake they would be more then willing to be nice..but the lady at the front had an attitude the size of texas. i will never return to this over charging american mexican food and i advise you to do the same. malvina jones read more

I order carry out a few times a week when I'm too busy to cook. Well the order I placed to go at La Quesadilla was a total disaster. I checked my bag when I got back to my car and found one of my items was missing. So I went back inside (in the rain) to retrieve my item. I was assured my order was correct. WRONG! When I got home and opened the containers I discovered 2 of my dinners were missing. So I had to drive back to pick them up. I ended up driving 30 miles and spent about an hour trying to get my order complete. I expect better service from a restaurant like this. This order was very costly and time consuming. A great local place in an area that borders on restaurant desert. I had the chicken taco salad and it was excellent! The prices were great ($6.99) and chips and salsa free and homemade. The young man that answered the phone on 7/20/19 around lunchtime was extremely rude. I could not believe how I was treated and spoken too. I don't know his name because when I asked him for it he said "I don't have to give you my name, I don't feel comfortable" which was very odd. He has no business dealing with the public.
