We went on Friday night and the place was busy, we were seated right away and started with the usual chips and salsa,thats when we knew were on to something special. The salsa was GREAT and so was everything else. The server was wonderful and on the way out I met the owner. It is located next to the Alsip Nursery, and being from Alsip Illinois, I explained to the server how it gots its name. If you order the healthier way (chicken instead of beef), you will walk away feeling they gave you enough chicken in your food to feed a small village! Not complaining! This really is the best mexican food place in all of indiana. The owner is awsome and so friendly. The workers are all nice. And the food... Its amazing. We tried alittle bit of everythinf and it was all just great. We ordered catering for the weekend and it was better then expected. Everyone enjoyed it and there was hardly any leftovers. I agree with Haciel's review. This food was terrible. The only thing that was decent was the guacamole, but how can you screw that up? I had the beef tacos and the beef was extremely bland. I even ordered the extra sour cream and avocado and literally, there was beef, cheese, sour cream and avocado on my tacos. The beef was greasy with no seasoning and there no vegetables! My mom could and has cooked way better tacos. I can't believe a staff member would say that the ground beef is not the greatest... do something about it then!!! That's a pretty damn popular item menu to screw up! I am making an account just to post a review about this place. What a huge waste of $50. The staff was friendly but I will never set foot in this place again and I live about 2 minutes away. Gordon Ramsay wouldn't even eat two bites of food at this place. This place is horribly overpriced for bland food. The steak tacos I had had no seasoning whatsoever and to charge top $ plus an up charge because it's "steak" is ludicrous. The chicken enchilada also very bland. Unbelievably slooooow service. Waaaayyyyy overpriced for what you get here. Nothing we had tasted authentic Mexican to us. The real treat came when I noticed an extra charge on our check. The cashier said it was for either a guacamole or cheese dip. We did not order either. The one word that best describes La Quesadilla Mexican Grill is a word that describes most restaurants in the Northwest Indiana region; INCONSISTENT. Service and food is, at best, spotty. Orders have been taken incorrectly. My wife's Spanish is dead-on; she reads, writes, and speaks it. But I guess it's possible to have a bilingually illiterate wait staff. Food has been served at room temperature and their seems to be a lot of fooling around among the staff; probably because they aren't supervised. I like to support local businesses but La Quesadilla makes it very difficult. The times I've been there and had problems, neither manager or owner can be found. When they're good, they're very good but when they're bad...well, save yourself the grief and go to Taco Bell. At least you know what you're getting. read more

My wife and I have been here several times and always enjoyed the food and most excellent golden margaritas. My issue is with the service on our last visit. My wife ordered enchiladas which have 4 different fillings. In the past she has ordered chicken only which was never a problem. On this occasion the waitress who identified herself as the owner snapped saying that is not allowed and seemed perplexed that her staff allowed that to happen. Very awkward. She ended up complying with the request but she seemed very cold toward us. My wife was so taken aback she wanted to leave initially. The food ended up good as usual but the owner, if that is who she was needs to brush up on her people skills. read more

The portions were small but the flavor was next to nothing.I had a pork burrito it was way less meat than a Chipolte but twice the price. One of my favorite Mexican restaurants and great for that weekday night when you don't want to cook. I usually order La Favorita platter and eat too many chips before it arrives. Family members vouch for several other items on the menu. The staff is cordial and take time to explain any specials. Not high cuisine or a theme-park Mexican interior, just good food. read more

I really enjoyed my experience at LA Quesadilla. I got the Pollo Loco, and it was delicious! Rice, chicken, and queso sauce with chips... Yummm. Loved the Sangria as well, went on a Tuesday night and the Sangria was half price :) The prices were typical of Mexican restaurants in the area about $10 for an entre and about $2.75 for a taco al a carte.
