On a short vacation, we stayed at La Quinta by Wyndham Dublin - Pleasanton. It's in a pretty nice part of East Bay so we did not anticipate any problems and it was a good stay. This hotel was quite peaceful and quiet for being pretty full on the one night we stayed. Staff were friendly, we did not have much interactions with any of them. The young man at check-in seemed a bit nonchalant and not the most courteous, but he ended up placing us in a large accessible room and the beds were a little bigger or at least taller and the shower being accessible was actually really nice b/c it was spacious and the water did NOT go all over the place, thankfully. On the next morning, we always look forward to fueling up. Breakfast was plentiful although a meat-based sausage was missing and desired over the veggie sausage rounds that were served. At least there were hard boiled eggs instead of egg substitutes type of scrambled eggs or "egg omelet" made with fake eggs (Holiday Inn Express' specialty, bleh). There were even biscuits w/gravy and country fried potatoes. I didn't try the biscuits, but I did have a bit of gravy over a bit of potatoes and over a couple of those veggie sausages that didn't taste too bad. However, I know the veggie sausages are probably made w/some soy protein isolates and who knows what other interesting ingredients, so even though they tasted almost real, I only had a couple of them. Interestingly, they also had bean & cheese burritos and guacamole for breakfast, and my kids really enjoyed them. I really like the guac myself. Of course the DIY waffle bar was a hit with everyone, there was quite a queue for that waffle maker. We liked the variety of choices at breakfast and that it was a hot breakfast with many items of all kinds. So generally a good breakfast, the staff refilling it was efficient and friendly. The breakfast area was pretty hot though, need a couple of fans to make up for the open area where the air conditioning ends up cooling the 1st floor but the 2nd floor was quite warm. A couple other notes: the fitness center was bigger and had more equipment than expected so that was nice, but the machines were older and off brand, though they worked well enough. We didn't use the pool and spa, but they looked a little bit dirty but upon closer look, it's that the surface of the pool and spa have been discolored and probably not dirty Overall, it was a good short stay here and we'd come back for another stay, as this La Quinta was ok, not the best, but plenty good enough. read more

A moderately nice hotel in Dublin. We stayed a night here on a weekend and the hotel was pretty full but it was quiet. We arrived after dinner so can't speak on whether the room would be ready by check in, but I would say probably so. We had a good stay, so mostly pros. Pros: - spacious entrance lobby and nice staircases, kind of "grand" looking - room was pretty clean, just importantly the beds were very clean - accessible room was extra spacious, not sure why we got that but nicely appointed - beds were firm but still comfortable - hot breakfast was quite a spread, missed real meat vs veggie sausage rounds, but the waffle maker was a hit with the kids. - multiple kinds of non dairy and dairy milk plus several juices, I enjoyed the guava especially Cons: - 2nd floor hallway and the breakfast area was warm. Bc all the AC coolness of the open space meant it all went to the ground floor. - a little bit worn in certain areas of the bedroom, just normal wear and tear, nothing serious but shows the hotel was definitely remodeled but at least a few years back. All in all, a more than adequate and pretty good stay. We will probably stay here again. read more

Nice place with the most striking lobby I've seen in a motel, a grandfather double stairway leading up to the breakfast area. Appears to to have been recently renovated--decor is semi-contemporary. Room was roomy, with a comfortable bed and lots of of pillows. There were a couple of minor negatives. With all-lamp lighting, the room could have been a little bit brighter. Reading in bed, I had to lean toward the lamp. And while the floating towel shelves in the bathroom look nicer than traditional towel racks, there was nowhere to hang my cosmetic bag or robe except the shower curtain rod, where they could get wet. Some hooks on the back of the door would remedy this. Worth a stay for a reasonably priced night with a low pet fee. read more

I discovered was not working after I returned from work. Even compensated me for the food that I lost in my fridge. Everything was fine until check out morning. We told them that we wanted a late check out when we checked in and they said let the front desk know first thing in the morning. I let them know at 7:30 am and they said the latest check out was at 1 pm. We said 1 pm was fine. We had multiple maids knock on the door through out the morning which was annoying but not the main point of the review. Before the maids even came knocking, we had a maintenance technician knock on the door and abruptly open the door prior to me getting to the door and I was still in my underwear and my wife was naked. He gave us no chance to get to the door before attempting to walk in unannounced. I was ready to fight because of how he barged into the room and I had no clue who he even was until I asked him multiple times who he was and what he wanted. I understand his sense of urgency but if my dog was behind the door and he got bitten, I would be in trouble and my dog would be put down. If he attempted to barge in on my wife while she was alone, we would be having a completely different conversation. I immediately called the front desk and let them know and after looking into it, they apologized and said that he shouldn't of even came to the door prior to the maids. If that's the case, why is he attempting to enter an occupied room unannounced and out of protocol and why was he so hesitant to tell me who he was and why didn't he tell me why he was trying to enter the room? I had booked a conference hall at La Quinta, Dublin, California, for my upcoming jewelry and clothing exhibition scheduled for June 5th, 2025. I signed a contract and paid a deposit of $225.00. On May 27th, 2025, I called the hotel to request a postponement of the event to a future date. I spoke with the manager, Ms. Kia, and was surprised when she refused to refund my deposit or reschedule the event. Despite my repeated requests to either cancel the existing booking or move it to a later date using the same deposit, she declined and behaved in a very unprofessional and disrespectful manner. She not only canceled my booking without any refund or alternative arrangement but also refused to provide any contact information for senior management. Her tone was rude and aggressive, which left me extremely disappointed and frustrated. I believe this situation reflects poorly on La Quinta's customer service and business ethics. I gave advance notice of more than a week, yet my concerns were ignored, and I was treated unfairly. I am requesting a resolution--either a refund or a rescheduled date using my original deposit. read more

Unfortunately traveling for and HAD to stay another night and guess what?!!! its now transferred to the other eye. for context i work in the medical field I am extremely hygienic I wash my hands 30-50times a day. the thought that this is happening to me because someone skipped there responsibilities... if I did that... people could die... now see where im going how this can snowball into a horrendous disaster. Clean room the beds were very comfortable and pillows nice and fluffy. Bathroom clean has all the basic needs I just wish they was a liquid hand soap. There's only bar soap. I didn't book this hotel as a last minute deal but was given the worst room experience in my life. The hotel has plenty of rooms and the front receptionist decided to give me the very further room from the elevator. As we walk on the hallway we could already smell the smoke, once inside the room the smell got so strong that it was like a true smoking room that the smoke was on the carpet, the sofa, the other furniture and the walls. I went downstairs to ask the receptionist to switch us to a true non-smoking room which she rudely refused and claimed all rooms were booked and they are non-smoking building. I went back to the room and they sent a maintenance crew to spray the room with a small bottle of liquid for a two-minute effect. We stayed there for another 10 minutes and I just couldn't breathe any more, my nose, throat and lungs were full of smoke. Since the hotel refused to give us another room, we ended up booking another room immediately at a different hotel nearby and everything there were for a normal non-smoking room and we had the best night sleep there after a long day. I wish the hotel didn't treat us so badly and the staff didn't care a bit about the guests that I swear I would never go there again. read more

The La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Dublin - Pleasanton was a decent stay. The room and property were clean and the staff was really friendly. The rooms are quiet and you can barely hear any traffic in the hallway or out on the street. The only thing wrong was the refrigerator was not working, so I couldn't store any leftovers or drinks. I could have made a request, but wasn't worried about it. The hotel is located right next to IHOP and there are numerous other dining options within a short drive, since the hotel is off of a main highway. The free breakfast included: waffle bar, parfait maker, "sausage", "eggs", bacon, breakfast potatoes, biscuits, jelly/butter/honey, fruit, granola bars, and coffee, watered down juices, and ice water. The only things that were really edible were the potatoes, bacon, and biscuit. I'm not sure what that sausage patty is made of, but it made me almost gag. I do appreciate breakfast being included, so that was a great way to wake up. Next time I'll eat out though. I'd stay here again, but I like to hotel hop and experience other places, when I stop in the same area. read more

The coffee pot still had coffee. The night before I had issues with my booking date which was my fault I was tired coming from another trip had the dates for the next week. Luckily the staff tried to match the rate for the date we stayed. I had mentioned to my husband about this place. That really like it. The guy that was booking us told us he will make a note about our late check out. We are all set. Next morning By 10:00am we had the first knock I had forgot to put do not disturb. So my husband got up and had the do not disturb sign. By 10:45am another knock. We said pls don't disturb Then by 11 am we get another knock another call that staff didn't write about our late check out. Then Manager TEA said something about her coming back from vacation. She doesn't know She said no one noted anything. She told my husband she will make it right. We had to get multiple calls from staff from her not reading her notes or checking before calling us. By 2pm we check out my husband told me to go return the keys. I spoke to Tea about us being disturb I wasn't okay with the service I also said you should check cameras before disturbing people calling knocking. Then while I'm talking to her my husband comes and she looks at him and said he already said that TEA got up and told me if I dont like it don't come back. I flew into town for a convention in Oakland, but when the convention was over, I drove out to Dublin to visit my family and stayed here for two nights. I checked in without issue. The staff were all very nice. Apparently I was VIP status so I got a bag full of treats and water and she said she was putting me in a quiet location of the hotel, which I really appreciated. I went to my room and although I agree, it was a very quiet room and it was a large and spacious, It was very very dirty. The walls, the shower, the carpet, the drapes, the furniture. All really gross. I just came from a Marriot in Oakland that was spotless compared to this room. Definitely felt the yuck but the bed was decent enough. Not the headboard which oof but the mattress. The pillows weren't at all supportive & lack density/body. The flood lights made sleep difficult if you're light sensitive & the curtain setup isn't a robust blackout design. BATH Medium sized bathroom with combination shower-tub & Dove shower products + toiletries. It was clean enough & the water pressure was adequate. The exhaust is very loud. WI-FI, CELL SERVICE, TV, & ENTERTAINMENT Severely unmotivated to review or utilize any of these amenities due to the quality of the room. FOOD & DRINK DoorDash friendly. Microwave, medium mini fridge, & mini coffee bar available in-room. There's also complimentary popcorn! NOISE The parking lot commotion can become an irritant but everywhere else on the property was peaceful. I have pretty high standard of cleanliness when it comes to hotel and this hotel does not disappoint. I stayed in standard king-size room and both the room and bathroom were clean. The bedsheet could use a replacement, since the texture was already rough from being laundered in bleach. The breakfast selection was also better compared to other hotel chains. read more

We have stayed in half a dozen La Quinta locations, and I must say that this one is the best so far. It is a 3-star hotel, no special frills, and quite standard for the business traveler. The room was the typical layout and amenities for a 3-star hotel. What made this hotel better than the other La Quintas? 1. The people. From check-in, to breakfast, to housekeeping, to check-out, we got smiles from everyone. It made me feel good to be there. 2. Queen size beds. The other La Quintas all had double beds, which are a little uncomfortable for taller folks. It was an extremely pleasant surprise to get queen size beds. Loved it! 3. The food. We know what to expect for breakfast at La Quinta. The included breakfast is one reason we choose La Quinta. But this breakfast bar was a little upgraded, not much, but noticeable. There was the standard LQ waffle, but they also had a pancake making machine. The pancake maker didn't work well, but it was a bonus item anyway. Then there was yogurt, but also Greek yogurt. And the sausage was a better quality than you usually get in free breakfasts. If you would rate an LQ breakfast a 5, then this one is a 6. And if you're not happy with that, there's an IHOP next door, which is open 24 hrs on weekends. We are already planning our next stay in this hotel. read more

I chose this hotel over all the other hotels near the area because of the reviews from Yelp. It's not accurate anymore due to COVID and other travel restrictions. The main lobby is nice and is exactly as shown in the Yelp pictures but after COVID, a lot of the free amenities and services has changed. These changes need to be updated on some of their websites to show that these features are no longer available. There is no free breakfast, gym/pool access, and elevator service due to COVID (as of October 2020). Inside the room has the generic stuff you need such as a working desk, lamps, air condition, a refrigerator, a TV, some charging stations, and a closet. The bed is big and squishy. The bathroom comes with the usual towels, bar soap, conditioner, body wash and other stuff. The faucet and bathtub needs to be repaired and better maintained. I noticed a lot of chipped paint within my bathtub and had a rusty/leaky faucet with mineralization surrounding the outside. The air condition unit is pretty old school but still works. The refrigerator contained no snacks (at least they can't overcharge on that) and is completely empty. It's pretty decent but wasn't worth the price I paid for (around $130 per night) and I probably wouldn't have noticed the change in condition had I stayed in a lower-tiered motel. If you made it this far in the review, here is the WIFI password as of Oct 2020: 10037 Pros: *FAST CHECK IN/OUT. There aren't many guests to begin with which is why the process is so quick. *QUIET. Because no one is traveling at this time, the main lobby and practically the entire floor is empty. Cons: *NO FREE BREAKFAST. (as of October 2020 due to COVID) I know COVID changed a lot of the travel and hotel services, but they should update the Hotels.com website and remove this feature. *NO GYM/POOL. (as of October 2020 due to COVID) I get that they need to socially distance guests, but they did not have any helpers or even offer to help move our luggage. We both had to get up to turn it off multiple times. I thought the exterior of the hotel was nice. The location was also a good location. The price wasn't bad. A friend also recommended this hotel as they have a large jetted tub which I wanted to experience. I booked through a third party website so the description of the room just showed as suite so I thought this was the correct room. Unfortunately it wasn't. I was a little disappointed but it was my fault so I will accept that. Since I paid a little more for this room, my expectations were higher. The item that really made me write this review was I returned to the room after a business event and it was late so I wanted to take a shower however, there was an extremely loud horn type noise coming from the shower. I walked to the front desk and could hear this noise for two rooms through the walls (Yikes!). I was told there wasn't any maintenance available to look at it. I then thought they would suggest another room, they didn't. I returned to the room and my partner attempted to work on the shower head as the sound was unbearable. I stayed three nights at the hotel and I loved the morning breakfast and the Jacuzzi. The free parking was a plus! I reserved one of the meeting rooms for a two day event that I had going on. My guest loved the hotel it was easy to find, Located in a very clean and safe area. I paid for coffee and tea for the meeting room reservation I had, the coffee was amazing , fresh and the service was superb. All the employees were very attentive to my needs. I will definitely be coming back to book their meeting rooms and to stay in their hotel. There's breakfast from 6 to 9 AM complementary. They have a waffle machine that I loved and Soy milk!! Everything was cooked well , I loved the buffet breakfast. My employees ate breakfast every single day which was amazingly complementary and so fulfilling. The property manager is very shady and charged my card for $250 for a plunger charge to clear bathroom clogged which was ridiculous as we stayed there 8 days and this issue with clogged toilet happened on the third day.tge staff apologized for the stinky smell and overflowed toilet and bath tub and changes our room.there was no discussion about any charges being charged and at checkout I was given a folio which had the rolm Charges and nothing was due and settled is what front desk informed me. To my surprise, the hotel charged my card which was never informed to me on the next day. Very shady practice and when called the hotel and emailed to the Geneeal Manager, no response provided. The best part is when I submitted a review right after checkout as a good customer noting that there was a bathroom toilet issue , management responded to the review apologizing for the review and confirming room change and silently they decided to fraudulently charge my card which was unethical and very bad on their part being in hospitality industry. Going all out with 5 stars for the excellent stay we had here! The rooms are huge, we had plenty of space even with our 12 year old son in the room. Appreciate the kitchenette and fridge, large bathroom and all the amenities offered, Gym, pool and hot tub, free breakfast and very clean throughout the entire hotel. Staff was great, very safe and nice area with tons of shopping and dining options close by. Breakfast selection was extensive with hot and cold items, pastries, a waffle maker, yogurt, cereals and a nice area with plenty of seating to enjoy it at. Front desk staff was absolutely wonderful! Check in was easy and the ladies were very helpful and polite! Room was overall clean... there were some questionable stains on the couch but we didn't use the couch so it was fine. Easy access right off the freeway. Windows open which is nice for some fresh air as we enter into spring. Obviously it's still COVID so breakfast was extremely limited. I recommend bringing something or grabbing from a place near by. Imagine being given an access card in your room by the front desk and when you get there, someone was in there , was a female voice and you were being yelled at "HEY "blantanly and Very loud, like i have commited something illegal. The maintenance guy came out stating the computer messed up and that room was out of order, there was no sign that it was out of order, Im not quite sure but for a maintenace guy to be there with a female seems sketchy. I could have been warned by the maintenance guy politely when i attempted to go in the assigned room but the Hotel and employees there seemed to be ignorant and unpolite. If you have a business, you need to practice good manners and right conduct, and same with the management of the hotel, where it appears which they claim that their computer isnt working well and allowed their customer to suffer for their inadequacy. Coordinate, check and recheck, be consistent and make sure you employ people that are honest and with integrity. read more

Wow! This is definitely the nicest La Quinta I've ever stayed at. It was surprising to walk into the lobby and see a double staircase and chandelier! That alone wouldn't be enough to impress me but it was everything else that made this a stand out experience. We arrived very late and the night desk agent was very kind and had no problem checking us in. I really loved the pantry area by the front desk to grab food and snacks from especially because it was so late and we were so hungry from traveling for so long. The rooms were very spacious and the main thing I look for..CLEAN! Add super comfy beds to that and I would say you have the perfect hotel room. Breakfast was plentiful and definitely upgraded from most hotel breakfasts. However if you don't fancy anything there are many restaurants locally including an IHOP next door and a place that we really enjoyed (Specialty's). Easy access on and off the highway make this a winner. Don't stay in SF unless you have to. This hotel is a much better value for your money, safe, clean and convenient (And they accept pets at no cost like all La Quintas). read more

I wouldn't say I had any particular gripes about this place, other than the fact that I think they might have charged more than they said they would... I looked at quotes after for the same amount of days on the same days for the week after, and the price was much lower. Hmm.. But overall, the place was alright. The pool and outdoor spa is absurdly small though (Especially the spa/jacuzzi). They have a decent looking mini gym. The laundry room is on one floor and far away, but it does the job. Don't come here expecting to sleep in! This is my second morning waking up to the sounds of housekeeping being extremely loud as they're yelling and laughing right outside my door. The housekeeping headquarters is located on the first floor near the spa suites. I spent extra money to reserve a spa suite. I complained to a front desk worker yesterday who said she couldn't move my room since all the spa suites are located in the same area. I didn't request my room to be changed. How about asking your workers to show some professionalism at work? How about respecting your guests who should at a minimum have a good night's rest? I get everyone wants to have a good time at work. But it is highly inconsiderate to make so much noise when there are guests trying to sleep. My room is otherwise nice. Too bad I can't fully enjoy my experience. read more

Horrible guest service. Check out time is 12 and they were banging on the door at 9 and 10 and then again at 11:30. Lots of noise. No ac or air in the room. Overall horrible experience. read more
