Everything is delicious here! Daily specials. These shrimp are freshly prepared and not from some prepackaged source.

Good taco at a fair price. Stopped by for a potato and egg taco. Ordered a crispy potato and egg taco got it just the way I ordered. Homemade tortilla was fresh and hot.

This was my first time eating here and people who know me know that I judge all Mexican restaurants breakfast by their guisada. La Ribera did not let me down. The taco was HOT enough to melt the cheese. I apologize about the bite out but had to try lol. This place is really good and the staff is awesome.

Please note that this place is also called Morgan Street Market and Seafood. Came here for dinner tonight based on the recommendation of a coworker who had eaten here before while staying in Corpus for work. I was a little worried because it doesn't seem to be located in a great part of town. I also wasn't expecting it to be a Mexican Seafood Restaurant. The place is super clean inside, albeit undecorated and cheap. And there's a funky smell of cleaning solution when you walk in. But this was about the only negative that I have to say. We were able to seat ourselves anywhere we wanted. The menu was extensive with choices for about every taste. All the options were in both Spanish and English. Service was prompt and friendly. My coworker and I had a hard time deciding what we wanted to eat. She eventually settled on the garlic grilled shrimp and I asked for the Shrimp Diablo. Luckily the server warned me it was super spicy, so I ended up also ordering the garlic shrimp. Right after, the server dropped off a small sample of the diablo sauce for me to try and she wasn't joking! It was a slow burn, but extremely hot and long lasting! Glad I went with something else. The food cake promptly and the plate was HUGE! We got fresh, homemade guacamole, Spanish rice, lettuce with tomatoes, French fries, and shrimp and grilled onions. All for $10!!!! And the shrimp was delicious! There were 12 large shrimp that tasted super fresh, grilled onions, and chinks of fresh garlic. She also brought buttered pieces of toast for the side. This was in addition to the chips and salsa brought early on. Dinner was delicious and I'm stuffed!

Really good food, great service. Be nice if the menu had more pictures. Also, English options for ease of ordering would increase my visits.

Visit 2: dined in and ordered carne asada plate, delicious. Visit 3: got breakfast thru the drive thru, chilaquiles with egg mixed in, no salsa ranchera They made the corn tortilla chips very soggy and there were ONIONS which I do not like and which was not disclosed, only ate a quarter or the top layer of the plate. Visit 4: was sick with vomiting so got tortilla soup. Chicken was cooked but not tenderized. I liked the one from Cancun's better. Visit 5: brought hubby here. He commented that carne guisada was overcooked, I tasted and agreed. I put this place to the true test by ordering menudo... and they failed. Menudo tasted like they didn't wash tripas after parboiling them. Each bite was initially good follow up by an uncomfortable, dirty aftertaste. My verdict: not bad, just mid. Maybe some issues with quality control. I'll be back to try the seafood though.

As a vegan, that made me excited because actual Mexican food usually has less cheese and can be made vegan. The business is quaint. There was a friendly hostess to welcome us in and our server was very hospitable. We ordered the chile relleno without cheese, zucchini in pasilla pepper sauce, and mole verde off the vegetarian options on the menu. We also enjoyed guacamole and chips. Our server was happy to accommodate our vegan modifications and it was really easy to communicate with him. The flavors are just WOW! Hands down the best guacamole of my life. The sauces are vibrant and rich. Everything tasted so fresh. And the prices for this quality of food cannot be beat. My husband and I literally licked sauce off the plates to make sure we did not miss one ounce of that authentic Mexican flavor. This place is top of our list of businesses to visit next time we are in town visiting family. We had an incredible experience and cannot wait to continue to explore the vegetarian menu options.

I'm not a professional food critic, but I do know seasoning, regional Mexican flavors, and what well‑prepared food should taste like -- and this just wasn't it for us. The restaurant didn't feel well-kept, and it appeared that only one server and one cook were working, plus we and another couple were the only ones there. We were served chips and salsa to start. The salsa, a taquera‑style orange sauce, was actually the best part of the meal. The chips, however, were extremely hard, not fresh, and definitely not warm. They looked house‑made, but whatever they were fried in made them almost inedible. I ordered the ribeye street tacos, and the steak was overcooked, had an odd taste, and wasn't enjoyable. I asked for extra cilantro and onions, which didn't happen, and the chimichurri they brought out was basically oil with a few seasonings floating in it. I almost complimented the Dr Pepper because it had a unique sweetness -- until I realized why. The red glass had visible staining on the inside. When I wiped the rim with my napkin, it came off dirty. They also don't offer straws, so whatever residue was in that glass is what you end up drinking. Between the food quality, the cleanliness concerns, and the overall condition of the restaurant, this was a no for us. How this place has earned such high mentions is honestly beyond me.

The most authentic flavor item in my lunch was the refried beans that look like poop at first sight. Rice was bland with cumin flavor and the mole was the most disappointing. Might as well have called them regular enchiladas, the flavor was basic taco mix with a tiny taste of mole. Just a thick cumin or comino paste. Enchiladas should be dripping with sauce in the inside. These were dry tortillas that were barely garnished with sauce on top. The chicken inside was very flavorul but dry. Then the 16 oz lemonade was 4$ and it was super sour ! I never leave reviews. I've never had them served this way but was not disappointed. No horseradish served here, fyi. We also got queso fundido which was delicious- portion seemed small but made three full tacos.
