If you haven't been here yet, you need to check this place out. I already did a review on their pizza, and it's still by far the best pizza I've ever had. Today I came back for a couple of slices, but I finally decided to try the banana pudding. All I can say is... wow. This might be the best dessert I've ever had. It was made with vanilla custard, Chantilly cream, fresh banana, vanilla cookies, and salted caramel, and every spoonful was incredible. The custard was rich and creamy, the bananas were fresh, the cookies added a nice little crunch, and that salted caramel brought everything together with just the right amount of sweetness. I honestly couldn't stop eating it. Every bite was just as good as the last, and before I knew it, the whole thing was gone. I work in pizza and recently I have been on a pizza journey trying what people say are the best places in LA. Naughty Pie Nature came up on a list of best in LA so I had to give it a try. It's a walk up window right on the corner. We had no trouble finding a place to street park. We got there towards the end of their service but the owner was still happy to make us a pizza. We got a plain pie and a candy manny, we got there to late to try an any slices. The crust was pretty amazing. The pizzas were solid, nice bake and leoparding, nice dough recipe nice chew and crunch, great ingredients, fun flavor combinations. Online I was looking at their merch and they have fun merch as well. The owner sauce my Ranch on Pizza hat and gave me a free jalapeno ranch to try. The was so awesome of him and the jalapeno ranch was killed, clearly fresh and homemade. We also got a banana pudding and that was amazing, I would go back just for that. First bite i've gotta say this thing has got a lot going on. If you're a savory pizza purist best to avoid this one, but if you love yourself some hot honey I can see that it works well, and surprisingly the candied jalapenos still had a hell of a kick, so it is legit SWEET and SPICY. The letdown here for me was the crust. It looked the part, but just like Hollywood it was all for show. I'm not usually a crust girl but I couldn't get enough of the dough. It's seasoned well, perfectly crunchy, and there's not an overwhelming amount leftover where the sauce/toppings end. I also appreciate how this place doesn't have to drown their pizzas in oil to taste good like some pizza places do. I ended up eating two enormous slices and had to take a bite of a third because I just wanted another taste lol. You pickup your whole pizza at a window and ring a bell for service. I believe for slices you can't order ahead and have to check at the window for availability. They do skimp on the amount of plates they give though and the napkins are more like paper towels. Was having people over for the Super Bowl and came across this place, the menu looked interesting so I decided to give it a try. And I'm so happy I did! Placed my order online early in the morning and had plenty of options for when I wanted to pick up the pizza. Showed up and the pies were hot and ready to go. Ordered two pizzas: Tipsy Tomato and Candy Manny. The Tipsy Tomato was made with house vodka sauce, chili oil, basil, mozzarella and ricotta. One of my friends opened the lid and said she didn't want to eat it, it was too pretty. Presentation was great, not going to lie. Being that we eat with our eyes first, this definitely passed the eyeball test. As far as taste, you get a little bit of everything with each bite, and the flavors played well together. With the Candy Manny, you have mozzarella, tomato, pepperoni and ricotta with a calabrian hot honey on top. So you get that saltiness from the pepperoni missed with the sweetness of the honey, but a little heat comes through with the calabrian chili.... just a wonderful bite! Good pizza and the people are super nice! I got a NY style pizza, specifically the Hot-N-Chessy. Perhaps 3-5 minutes after placing my order, I realized I wanted the pizza done Madden's Way. When I went up to the counter, I apologized and asked if it was possible to modify the pizza a little bit. When I reached out for my credit card to pay for the extra toppings, the worker told me to not worry about it with a huge smile on their face. This level of customer service where they go above and beyond, even when the customer made the mistake, means so much. Sometimes a rude worker can really ruin your meal and the opposite here was true! I love supporting small local businesses like this! Anyway, the pizza itself was delicious.
