My second visit here and both times rocked my socks with their flavorful Crab empanadas (1st visit) and Chicken Fajitas to share with my bf. They used real crab meat in their empanandas which is a big +1 for me. I've never heard of empanadas made out of crab meat before so this was all new to me and I think this restaurant is the only of its kind to sell this dish. The fajitas OMG was just so delectable because they seasoned their chickens just right. The taste never got boring! The one con I can give you guys about this dish is that they still only give you three or four totillas per person with it. Now, I don't know about you but I can eat. Three or four tortillas didn't serve me justice cause we still had a lot of the chicken left D: Anywhoos, we to-goed our leftovers for a snack. We seriously wouldn't mind coming here again as I always felt kinda iffy about Mexican restaurants and their food but this place went over my expectations. Over the last few months we I've been here eating my food been cold! I let them heat my food up, but I have told next time my food I will not let them heat it up. I have posted on Facebook about two weeks ago about the cold food but didn't get any response from them ever. Again today they gave me cold food aft I reminded them about getting cold many times over last few months. I told him if my food cold again I would not let fix it and would leave so that's what I did went to a different restaurant for dinner!! I don't like leaving a negative review but I feel like people need to know the truth or they wouldn't look up the restaurant in the first place. So here goes, the chips had absolutely no taste. The salsa tasted like tinny tomato sauce so we asked for some green sauce which tasted sweet and tinny as well. I ordered the burrito. This was a mistake. It was nasty. Filled with over cooked dry meat, gross tomatoes, peppers and sour cream. The beans were pretty good but I've had the same from a can. The rice was disgusting. Some weird taste I can't name. My boyfriend had the carne gisada and it was basically soup with chunks of gross meat in it. On the positive side, the tea was good and the service was quick and friendly. Will absolutely not eat here again. Do not recommend it at all. I ended up leaving the most of the food and leaving hungry read more

My first visit to this place was pleasant enough but upon my second visit i ordered the crab epanada to find that the crab was absolutely not fresh. The rice and beans were not good either. I've been eating here since I was kid, and my father can say the same. La Suprema is a good, old-fashioned local Tex Mex joint that has been a family favorite for years. (It actually used to be a lady's house who made tamales fresh back in the '70s.) Every staff member is always friendly and has a smile on their face. You can sit anywhere you please when you walk in, and your waitress usually has fresh chips and homemade salsa on your table before you can even scoot your chair up. Their salsa is has a pleasant "kick" to it and lots of flavor. I was raised on that stuff - it's delicious. The chile con queso, however, is sub-par. It's only melted cheese with a few peppers mixed in; there's not a lot to it. Casa Ole's queso leaves theirs in the dust, which is why I took off a star. The rest of the food is very satisfying: genuine Tex-Mex. The enchiladas and chimichangas may lack some flavor (they're still good), but they are known for their tamales, which I recommend over anything else. They are on the spicy side of "mild", and packed with flavor. They are perfect topped with the salsa. The rice and beans are average - very similar to Casa Ole's. Also try the guacamole: no nonsense in it such as tomatoes or jalapenos, just smooth, creamy goodness. For one person, ordering an enchilada dinner with a side of guacamole and a Coke will cost you around $11, which is about what you have to pay for a burger and fries nowadays. So why not visit La Suprema instead? Go getcha some. read more

Visiting this area for business, we really didn't expect too much in the way of Mexican food. But, this place was a very surprising find. The cheese enchiladas were about a 3.5 / 5. The rice & beans were a 4/5. And, the queso was a 5/5. Our only complaint was that the tea was old tasting. The service was great though and it was great to find a good restaurant since we will be visiting this area several times a year. read more

La Suprema has consistently good food. I recommend the Tamales. The service and the dining area are not fancy, but are always clean and the service is quick and attentive without being a nuisance. My family members like to eat here on a regular basis. When we go there, the parking lot is nearly full, which says a good deal for how well liked the place is. read more

All around great experience! You get to pick your table so we sat next to the window and had chips and salsa even before I could scoot up my chair. Service was extremely friendly and fast! Iced tea was perfect and the waiter never let it get close to empty. Pricing is very reasonable for what you get and this place has been here way before any other Mexican food joint in town and is still doing great which shows you they know what they are doing!! La Suprema is the best mexican restaurant in the Golden Triangle area. They have the greatest chips!! My favorites include the machacha, anything w/ the chicken taco meat, the guacamole or anything from their lenten specials. Every year during lent I am amazed by the selections. This year they had some killer spinach enchilladas. Another favorite of mine is the stuffed jalapeno appetizer w/ the spicy queso dip. La Suprema is awesome. Nice little hole in the wall Mexican food joint. I ordered a small plate of fajita nachos, but their version of small is a little bigger than most. Not the best nachos I've ever had, but their guacamole was on point. The only reason I didn't read this place higher was because the server kept messing up our tickets. I've been to this place twice and got sick both times. The food was OK, but nothing to rave about. I've definitely had better at many other places.
