Cute vibes. Honestly, we came here because the place next door had a wait and I didn't want to…read morewait. Would return and recommend for similar reasons. If I could, would give this 3.5 stars. Know before you go, you have to order at the bar. I didn't know, so I had to ask, but when I asked the bartender I got the sense he had to make that clear frequently which I get can be annoying, but he wasn't the friendliest when answering my question or taking my order. Meanwhile another bartender on the other end of the bar was audibly nicer. Maybe it was my bartender's demeanor or maybe the price tag, but I ordered and closed out my tab. Made my way over to my table with a cocktail and water (also self serve, don't ask) to await my food. The Paloma was strong but not particularly tasty. Luckily the food came out shortly after. The stars of the show were the curried cauliflower tacos that were much tastier and filling than expected and made me wish they were always on the menu. Runner up was the queso fundido even though it was a bit hard on the edges and required some scraping. Can't remember if the chips came with the queso or the ceviche but as someone that would order chips and salsa as one of my last bites on earth... these chips were very disappointing. Not because they tasted, bad but because they were the hardest chips I've ever had in my life. While this was bad, the ceviche was worse. Again not because of flavor but because of texture. The shrimp was overdone and I had literally just had better seafood minutes before as I was basically restaurant hoping fueling up on appetizers to sample a bit of everything. I'd come back for the ambiance, maybe a drink. Would order other bites but not come here hungry as it seems hit or miss.

A Guerneville institution!…read more The Guerneville Taco Truck is an amazing spot to grab some very tasty Mexican food, including tacos and classic Mexican hot dogs! The service is great, and the guys on board this food truck will get you hooked up for some very reasonable prices. Be aware: cash only! While the tacos are great and loaded with protein and classic toppings, the Mexican hot dog is one of their specialties and very tasty! It's also a fantastic value. The ambiance isn't much as it's a food truck in a grocery store parking lot, though they do have a few picnic tables available. This is a great spot to grab and go and eat at home. I saw another review about the food not holding up if you take it away, but I completely disagree with that! Great stop if you're visiting or passing through the area!

I'm so glad we did. I ordered the classic - Beans, Rice, and Cheese or BRC for short along with a Mexican Coke. I also tried the green hot sauce which was just the right amount of spice. Service was friendly and fast and we popped up around lunch time and as we were waiting for our food, we noticed it became busier. So perfect timing for us! Nothing too romantic surrounding the truck, I mean, you are in a parking lot but there was a nice picnic bench with some shade from a large tree. I would def. stop by again without hesitation.

We cannot recommend Boon enough for anyone who may be traveling in or even locals who are looking for a locally owned restaurant. Their menu changes often and it is always a joy to see what new dishes they have each time we dine in. Their staff is incredible and the servers are great at making suggestions. The best of the best!!

Not only were staple long-term vegetarian dishes removed from the menu (polenta lasagna), those that remained were absolutely butchered. The vegan bowl used to be fresh produce from the garden with an incredible sauce that had depth, now it is a tasteless $28 vermicelli bowl that a child could throw together in under 5 min.. Extremely over-fried tofu, no sesame ginger sauce to be found and just a dollop of chili oil on 1/10th of the noodles. The cauliflower appetizer was completely bland and it was very unclear whether it was supposed to be raw or cooked.. We come here (often bringing friends with us excited to share the spot), because it's always been consistently amazing and a good balance of meat and veg options, but it doesn't feel like the new chef is concerned with pleasing the veg customers (though even the presentation on the meat/fish dishes we saw looked messy and unappetizing compared to the past). We gave feedback (out of care/concern, not as "karens") to those who know us there and are hopeful that they'll be heard. We're going to give boon another chance in a few weeks, but i'm not feeling too hopeful after being told we aren't the only regulars feeling the effects of the kitchen changes.

One wall is filled with refrigerated drinks but the space is a restaurant, not a market. We met Rosa, the owner, and she's the kind of person who makes you feel like you've known her your entire life. She is very friendly, outgoing and has deep roots in the community. We knew many of the same families growing up here. She has owned the restaurant for 20 years. Their menu is quite extensive but since the burrito was so highly recommended, we had to give it a try. We ordered two super burritos, one with grilled chicken along with a wet chicken chile verde burrito. A basket of thick tortilla chips and two salsas were included with our order. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. The chicken chile verde had wonderful flavor and my husband especially loved the green sauce on top, not overly tangy like some. He would definitely order it again. My grilled chicken burrito was outstanding. The chicken was moist and I loved the whole beans and rice inside (I requested whole beans and no sour cream). It was definitely one of the better super burritos I've had. We love supporting local businesses so we are looking forward to trying other items on their menu but it will be hard to stray away from their super burritos. Easy parking on the street or in the lot.

It was delish but I forgot to take a photo. We started with pork belly tacos and fried ravioli. Both were outstanding but those ravs and dipping marinara are making my mouth water even now! My husband had the chop, my youngest the salmon and my other son and I had the chicken. Wow, wow wow! That pounded out chicken was juicy on the inside while the crust was crispy and not at all greasy. The mash was handmade and that Texas gravy? Your Memaw would be speechless! It was hands down the best white gravy I've ever had. My husband gave me a bite of his chop and it was sinfully delish! My son with the salmon barely spoke during the meal as he thoroughly enjoyed his dish. To top off this wonderful dining experience, the owner gave my husband and I a nice bottle of local wine and bought my son's drinks when we informed him that our youngest son was leaving for the Army that Sunday. He spoke to my other son in great length about culinary arts and truly made us feel at home. Please, if you are in the area do yourself a favor and stop into this gem of a restaurant. The staff and owner were awesome, food is off the hook good and the patio is just beautiful. They are hoping to open the restaurant floor this fall.
