La Taqueria is one of several food options in this outdoor venue. We checked out the Pastor Burrito, Birria Taco and Shrimp Taco. The Burrito was huge and packed with meat! The Birria taco was small but packed and delish. I love the sauce they give you. The shrimp taco is bigger and messier but equally good. Fresh cilantro. BTW ample parking on a Wednesday. Water fountain on site for refilling your water bottles. read more

I enjoy going to Steelcraft venues because there's usually something for everyone. I got food to go and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavor of the food. We got a birria quesadilla, a burrito Al Pastor and esquite. The quesadilla was full of lean, tasty birria and cheese. It comes with guacamole and sour cream. The burrito was well constructed. The meat, beans and rice were nicely balanced. This burrito was so good. All of the salsas are good. The darker red one is the best.The esquite was delicious. The corn, the lime, the cheese and the mayonnaise made for a taste sensation. I could eat this all day long. The service was top-notch. Shout out to Stacy M. They sell housemade Michelada mix. Smog City brewing is right next door and you can get a Michelada with the La Taqueria Brand mix. The patio is dog friendly. There's lots of shady seating outside and parking nearby. read more

Williams the best! Everything was very flavorful. Favorite items were the asada taco and the esquite with the agua Fresca cucumber lime. I'm typically a pastor-guy. But the asada brought it today. From the outstanding service to the delicious nachos, this place was perfect for our impromptu date…read morenight. From the minute we walked in the hosts were attentive, friendly and accommodating to my husband's unique needs. Lol once we were seated (there was no wait,) our server brought chips and delicious salsa over. My husband was in heaven for his birthday. We ordered our drinks, water for him and I had a new berry margarita. I have a unique allergy to vodka and one little drop can send me into anaphylaxis. After explaining this to the server, the manager came over to explain how they could help me. So the process began, he carefully washed new glass in clean water, used fresh ice from the ice machine and a new bottle of tequila and mixes. As I had my first sip he stood by my table to make sure I didn't have a reaction. He was very attentive. He gained a lifelong guest. Our dinner came and oh my these were the best nachos I have ever had in my life!! It was my husband's 79th Birthday and all though they don't sing, I had the entire patio song happy birthday to him. We were seated outside, which also looked nice at first glance, but I noticed quite a few spider webs around the windows. We ordered quite a bit: spicy Pad Thai, Bang Bang Shrimp, Pad See Ew, mango sticky rice, and of course the Thai tea with the popsicle. I'll give credit where it's due. The Bang Bang Shrimp was easily the best thing we ordered and was absolutely delicious. The Thai tea popsicle also lived up to the TikTok hype, although the actual Thai tea itself was on the sweeter side. If you love sugar, you'll probably enjoy it. My biggest complaint with the food was the spicy Pad Thai. The flavor was great, but it came with what felt like a whole chicken farm and a cameo appearance from the noodles. I ordered Pad Thai, not chicken with noodle garnish. The Pad See Ew was also noticeably salty. Now you're probably wondering why I'm giving this place a low rating if most of the food was decent. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the meal. When it was time to pay, my aunt was figuring out how much everyone needed to Zelle her since the restaurant only allows a maximum of two cards for split payments. While we were trying to do the math, our waiter stood over us watching the payment screen like he was supervising a final exam. He was clearly waiting to make sure a tip was entered. My aunt politely asked him to give us a minute, and thankfully he walked away. Maybe when you see a family actively calculating a bill, that's your cue to...actually give them a minute. Keep in mind we also tipped 20% despite all this. Throughout the meal, he did stop by our table, but it rarely felt like he was checking in to make sure everything was okay. If anything I felt rushed. He also gave off that "customer service smile" that disappears the moment you stop looking. The cherry on top for me happened as we were leaving. We had been sitting on the outdoor patio talking for a bit after paying, which is pretty normal for my family. Before leaving, I went inside to ask where the restroom was. The guy and girl behind the bar looked at each other, laughed, and then asked if I was a paying customer. Keep in mind, I was literally holding a to-go bag with leftovers from the restaurant. I responded, "Yeah, I just finished eating," while holding up the bag that made it painfully obvious. Only then did they tell me where the restroom was. Nothing says "valued customer" quite like being interrogated about whether you actually ate there while carrying your leftovers. It's unfortunate because the food had some highlights, and the restaurant itself has a cute atmosphere. But the service made it feel like customers are viewed more as transactions than guests. Between hovering over us during payment and questioning whether I even belonged there after spending money, I left feeling more unwelcomed than satisfied. I'll happily support a restaurant that appreciates my business instead of making me feel like I have to prove I earned the right to use the restroom after paying for dinner.

I truly believe the vibe of a restaurant is equally important to the quality of the food, and this place nailed it. Also, apparently you can still order more stuff even after you're seated. They don't really have dedicated server for each table but the service was pretty efficient in my opinion. Now the food, everything was delicious, I have no notes! Caesar salad, very good. Ok. First of all I want to let everyone know I loved this place. We had tried the birria tacos with their consomé and we loved them! So tonight we went back to try their Nachos and also the Tijuana Tacos. We were excited about it! But we were just terribly disappointed :(. The Nachos had very little cheese and it was not melted. Basically tortilla chips with a bit of meat. Now the Tijuana Tacos which on the menu says "large tortilla" tacos so I ordered 2, i open the taco and it was a small tortilla with almost no meat, just a sprinkle of onion and barely a piece of cilantro.. seriously! For $3.49 price is fine but DO NOT compare your tacos to Tijuana Tacos. I go to TJ and I know their tacos. Yours are a tiny version of the original Tijuana Tacos. Anyway, I told them about it, about my dissatisfaction. I showed it to them, I had eaten only one taco.... I did NOT ask for my money back just wanted to let them know I was disappointed, but the cook came and was very nice tooffered to replace them for something else, so I said fine I would like the birria tacos, because I loved them before. He took the taco I did not eat back and prepared birria tacos. I said thank you that was nice. I took them home and when I open them to my surprise they had birria meat mixed with carne asada and beans! Seriously? I know what birria tacos look like so I was not going to risk it. I've been coming for the past year and being Mexican heritage I approve of this spot. The TJ tacos are a must and very much like those from TJ and I love them. I saw at least several different families. They have a nice patio area outside near the Main Street and on the side. They're all TVs outside. Plenty of seating inside and out. The birria tacos were fire. The meat was flavorful and tender. You get 4 four about $21. I really enjoyed them. And they give you a good portion of meat along with a nice size cup of consome. I can see myself returning whenever I'm in the area.
