Place was mediocre, food was average, service was great though. If you are in the area it is a decent place to try at least once. While enjoying my lunch I did see many construction people come in and order food. The salsa bar was nice plenty of options and they had grilled jalapeños which I love. They played decent music while I ate and I had a great view of the outside to people watch.

I have gone to two of the many La Taqueria Brand restaurants in Long Beach. #1 at the Long Beach Hanger, was excellent! Food exceptional Mexican for tacos and burritos. Service was average and the ambiance was as if you were at the airport. Rushed, few seats and you felt someone was always waiting for your table to finish eating. #2 at Atlantic and Artesia, North Long Beach. Smaller, still great food, oddly shaped seating, single row of chairs against the storefront glass, a few tables as you walk in, and a few table up against the wall just feet away from the storefront glass. We got our food to go and was not disappointed. Over-all, great place to go for a quick taco or burrito!

3 Birria Quesatacos

We are addicted! The quesotaco (birria ) is amazing. Recently, at the requested my nephew., We tried the family pack. It was a hit! huge portions, very well packaged, in a fun change for taco Tuesday. We, of course, love the salsa bar and make sure to take home cucumbers. Ask for limes if you know, get them, they'll be happy to provide them. The aqua Frescas are also great. We've been coming here since they opened and are thrilled to have them so close to home.

Stopped by after my sons soccer game found this location as we were driving by and decided to try. 10/10 did not disappoint. Everything was really good and they have a good selection of sauces and drinks. The churros were so yummy and the aguas they have. Tacos were a good size and good, The cashier was nice. The location is not big but it was clean. They had good music playing. Definitely will return

So I've actually tried La Taqueria Brand a few years ago at their original location however, on account of having been hung over I feel like I couldn't give them a fair review on that visit. Today I had the chance of ordering from their North LB location via UberEats. I spent $62 (not including tip) which off the bat is very steep for two meals. I know Birria is usually on the pricier side but sheesh, this was definitely considered a splurge for what we received. I ordered the 3 quesa tacos, the beef Birria dip sandwich, a medium side of consommé, and a fresas con crema drink. I ended up noticing that the prices were in fact much steeper on Ubereats. They even charged for the salsas which I deemed as a ripoff considering they are a taco joint and should at the very least provide salsa free of charge. To make matters worse, my fresas con crema never arrived alongside my food which sincerely sucked as I was pretty hyped about it. I called the restaurant and informed them on their error, fortunately the lady on the phone was nice about it and said they'd provide it to me on my next visit. I'm not quite sure when I'll stop by again but I'm holding them to their word on that. Anyways, the food was really good taste wise. My tacos were packed with meat and cheese however the consommé needed the chili oil to accentuate its flavor. The quesa tacos were delicious though, no denying that. My boyfriend also loved his sandwich although it did seem a bit smaller than we imagined. Despite the missing item and ridiculous pricing, La Taqueria Brand is a solid Birria spot that I'd probably treat myself to every once in a while. Totally recommend the quesa tacos!

Carne Asada nachos with a nice helping of pinto beans

Authentic Mexican food here looking no further Love this place it is very modern inside and the staff is always friendly especially Alondra. She helped me out and she was very nice and helpful with recommending what food to get. I love that they have their salsa bar open and they have a white bread of hot sauce. My favorite offering that they have is frijoles and cucumbers alacarte. I will definitely be coming back

Street Tacos de chorizo

I decided to try it since it's hard to find good street tacos in the north side of Long Beach. I ordered online and picked it up it was fast and easy. I had their Asada Tacos, chorizo tacos, birria dip sandwich with fries which were delicious. I also had their Horchata and their Mexican bread pudding that was the highlight of my night it's really decadent and pairs well with the horchata ice cream. It is really sweet though so don't say I didn't warn you.

I like that they have grilled onions and jalapeños at their salsa bar and free pinto beans. Very clean fast casual restaurant. I loved their Baja fish taco and shrimp taco was amazing. Wasn't a fan of their Tijuana al pastor.

Cali Fries

I got the Cali Fries. I like the french fry choice, they were well prepared with a nice crisp to them. The carne asada was very flavorful and there was a decent portion size. You can't really see the cheese in the picture, but the cheese sauce definitely has a presence once you dive in.

Asada, cilantro, guacamole, fries, salsa
Priscilla C.

I bought the asada fries and they were delicious. They were stacked so good with cheese, asada, guacamole, cilantro, cebolla, and overall good salsas! This place is now my go to for asada fries (along with their other yummy food). Fast service as well :) !

Spectacular Mexican food! I'm so glad TikTok recommended this place because I may have never…read morestumbled upon it otherwise! I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and waited about 20 minutes for a table. The wait was well worth it because each dish offered an explosion of flavors. My favorite dish was the birria, with the salmon ceviche as a close second. The mole was great too, but I'd say the other two dishes were more memorable and something I'd return for. I can't recommend the birria enough, as the flavors were reminiscent of what I've had in Mexico, very authentic. The space is small and can feel a bit tight, but sometimes the best food comes from these types of "hole in the wall" places. Ultimately, I'd say give Lola's a try! You can't go wrong with Mexican food!

Not impressed by anything we ordered, given the competition locally…read more I will drive to Acton, CA (124 miles round trip) for their chicken tortilla soup ... bringing back 3 quarts of it after our meal is done. The soup here lacks the tastebud awakening zip that Don Chato's has. The ono fish taco experience was my fault... I hate fried fish taco, so I had lofty expectations, but due to the fact that I do not prefer corn tortillas, guacamole or raw onions, led to much disappointment since It has all three. Totally my fault. The butternut enchilada was lacking in the expected savoriness... this is being polite. The potato taquito was okay... but I am not a taquito person, so if you are I would seriously encourage you to try it. The star of the table was the Mexican corn. It may not compete with Cornman in Lincoln Heights, but it was decent. I scraped off the onions and toppings on the ono tacos, put the fish on the flour tortillas that another person didn't want, and topped the fish with refried beans, street corn and a but if the chicken tortilla soup broth to make due. When you are driving more than 30 minutes for this experience, I think you would agree that it was less that a proper way to celebrate a birthday. Oh and if there isn't any street parking. It'll cost you about 9 bucks in the lot. I didn't use the restroom, so I cant review its cleanliness. Our waitress was flawless taking orders and delivering food The restaurant itself has a great layout and an outdoor courtyard complete with propane heaters and umbrellas - I loved that... but my favorite part was out front, no not the seating area in the former parking spaces, nope... it was the collapsed woman on the sidewalk, walking her dog with snot running out of her nose because she was huffing some aerosol can of whatever. This truly set the mood upon arrival. Two stars for being close to a lot of other food choices to visit afterward.

If you want big portions, legit authentic food, and prices that won't personally offend you--this is your spot. The pork shank? Fall-off-the-bone, no-effort-required kind of delicious. The tacos are (I do wish they had à la carte instead of plates, but honestly their rice and refried beans slap so I'll allow it). The ceviche is basically an entrée disguised as an appetizer, and the chicken arroz soup hits every time. They bring out chips and salsa immediately (as they should), service is quick, and there's plenty of parking--which already puts them ahead of half the restaurants in SoCal.

I opted for the carne asada plate - simple and not spicy. Hubby ordered the Carne en su Jugo- very spicy with tomatillo broth and serranos, cilantro, bacon and onions. Both of our entrees came with bean soup and tortillas. The chips/ salsa starter was addictive. Huge basket of fresh warm chips, and a salsa like no other! Chunks of veggies and just the right spice. It was hard to get those chunks on the chips but it was delicious. My carne asada was tasty, a large portion with grilled scallion and rice. I wish some of the "bean soup" had been pureed to be a bit thicker but the broth was good, with a variety of beans. Hubby's dish had an interesting flavor, very spicy. He wished the broth had some rice, though, to accompany it. We could come back weekly to try many more entrees. Their salads sound tasty, too. Service was great.

It was open seating when we arrived which majority of the tables was taken where all the television were. The main dining area had a television set up but main bar area was where the action was taking place. We got lucky as there was a table available along the wall with perfect view of the game. Of course it was rain delayed so more time to enjoy food and drinks. Also it was happy hour and taco Tuesday all at the same time. As the game was happening, one of the tequila sponsors was there offering deals. Shot and a jersey. Tony took care of us that night and he was amazing. Made sure that we got everything we needed. Very sweet as well. Happy hour menu offered a good amount of items for a great deal. As well as draft beer and cocktails. Regular menu is great as well which we've had before. Food, an order of the tostada both with shrimp and aguachili. Served with two small tostada and handful of crevice on top. Both were quite tasty and very well flavored in the juice. Also two of the street tacos with birria. They were quite small but did have a major punch of flavor to it. And well priced at 2.50 a piece. Of course the crinkle cut loaded fries with added carne asada. Seemed like it was a popular item as every table had it. It was good but a little skimpy with the topping. Lastly the chicken wings, lemon pepper flavor. Six piece tossed in the sauce. It was good but way too salty for my liking. We still enjoyed everything we had. As we got the shot with the jersey earlier, the person who was affiliated with the sponsor brand was walking around with more shot. I must say, it does hit the spot big time...lol... The crowd was lively with everyone all there for the same reason. The game and good company. First time for happy hour and it was nice. We had a great time and everyone working was the sweetest. And Tony was amazing. Took very good care of us.

Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal, super friendly and anticipating all of our needs (water refills, leftover containers, etc.). Service overall by all staff was friendly. We were actually presently surprised with the taste of the food, thinking it might be more Americanized but they actually had very authentic and tasty totopos (tortilla chips). The tomato salsa that came with the chips was also very refreshing. We asked for hot sauce too and the house habanero salsa really packed a punch! We ordered carne asada nachos, pork belly chilaquiles (from the brunch menu), a breakfast burrito, poke, and steamed clams. The steamed clams came in a rich tomato broth and the breakfast burrito was massive. The poke was just okay and the chilaquiles a bit too soggy for me, and the carne asada nachos a bit dry. Nonetheless, presentation and portion sizes were respectable. The last comment is that food here is quite pricey but that reflects the likely high rent of a restaurant in 2nd and PCH.
