The first time I tried La Taqueria Brand was in the steelcraft in Long Beach. Back then, the taste and recipe felt original and close to home cooked meals. I remember I had the birria sandwich. I decided to try them again. Came to this location, and I get the economy is in a pickle. But, the prices we paid, and the taste of the dishes we paid for just wasn't making sense to me. With that money, I could have gone to the taquero de la esquina y estuviera más barato y tendría mejor sabor. I got birria tacos. The consomé was salty and bitter. The meat was flavorless y the tacos seemed to be burnt. For the bill to be over $60, like I'd expect more. Where is the line that restaurants draw in terms of what they are willing to serve ? We got a quesadilla and burrito. Well, it wasn't very impressive. It just affirms that I probably wouldn't come back. read more

Sunday at 9:21 PM my kids and I walked in, placed an order, and waited for our food. While we were waiting, my kids asked to use the restroom. The staff refused and said they were already closed. What makes this worse is that the posted hours showed the restaurant still had about 40 minutes before closing. We were paying customers who had just ordered food, yet my children were still denied access to the restroom. I've honestly never experienced a restaurant refusing restroom access to customers who are actively ordering and waiting for their food. Very disappointing customer service and not a great way to treat families. read more

Great food at affordable prices. I have been driving by this location for a while now. It wasn't until someone brought a box of tacos to work that I realized how good their food was. I had a torta for about the same price as street torta and the quality was really good. The staff is very friendly and super fast. They also have a self serve salsa bar. I will definitely be back. The restaurant is clean but the parking is funky. It feels like the spaces are small. read more

Overall, the food is good but nothing I'd make my way out for. I came here after reading the reviews and ordered the asada nachos and birria tacos. The flavor of the tacos were pretty good. The nachos were different than what I'm typically used to. They had nacho cheese on there and it was okay but not my thing. I was originally craving king taco and thought this would satisfy my cravings but I ended up going to king taco the next day. Service was friendly, you need to let staff know you want to use the restroom so that they can buzz you in. read more

I myself haven't been here but my friend offered to get us Caliburritos to take to the dodger game and man let me tell you they were so freaking good! We had an elderly couple ask where we got them because they looked so appetizing. I am so sad I didn't get to take a picture to show how big they were but that's how good they were. I got an Al pastor Cali burrito and both their red and green salsas were delicious. Will definitely go check this spot out for myself soon. read more

Slow and poor service, food portion is not great, food quality is ok, Bit pricey for quarter size tacos. Strongly suggest the taco stand that's literally outside this establishment, better bang for your buck and the food tastes better if you ask me. read more

It's delicious. I stopped by tonight after a long trip. 1/4/26 @ 9:11 pm. I had a quesabirria with a consomé cup. And the salsas are so good. I like the salsa bar because there are grilled sweet onions and chiles toreados. Also the pineapple chis water is delicious. I got full and satisfied. Thank you. read more

Miss Alondra and Jasu are just terrific! They were so helpful to me for my first time in their establishment. I picked out 3 different meats for the Tijuana Tacos, ordered the birria tacos and the potato tacos with shrimp, it comes with shrimp broth for dipping your taco. I just drank it! Everything was excellent! Churros for dessert is basically a law. The bathroom was spotless and had a pleasant aroma, the decor is just fine as well. So glad this place is in my neighborhood! read more

This place is so good, the tacos taste clean and very very tasty. The console tasted really authentic and the birria was so tender and the tacos where stacked and around 9 bucks for the order. I was a bit skeptical about coming here but I'm glad I did. The server Jasubilem was really nice and informative and ready to take our order and had our order ready fast. The place is new so it looks great and they keep it clean and they are playing nice nostalgic music my parents used to listen to. I hope they keep up the good work . read more

Came here a couple months ago with my daughter and cousin. I live next to the OG one on 7th street (I believe that was the first one). My cousin ordered a torta, I believe it was asada. I ordered a quesabirria and al pastor taco, and a chicken taco for my daughter. I also tried their guava-jamaica drink and my cousin got the cucumber-chia lemonade. They were both very delicious. Pretty tight location with most of the seating being up against the wall. I imagine it gets pretty full when students get out of school as it is a block uo the street from Jordan HS. Bathrooms were clean. Parking wasnt an issue at all when we went, I wanna say 5ish. Lots of people picking up to-go orders. I'd return if I were in the area and craving quesabirrias and agua fresca. read more

I had the deep fried shrimp tacos. They were pretty good. The only thing that I didn't like about them is the cheese and stuff being on the outside. For some reason, I didn't expect that. But it makes sense the way they had to do it because the tacos are fried. My friend had some birria tacos. She enjoyed them. Customer service was good. Ambience was cool. The restaurant was clean. Today Wednesday April 31, 2025 at about 1:05pm, me & my friend came in this place to have lunch; whoever the lady was that was working at that time did not provide us with any service, she looked at us went to the back or something, we thought she had to run to the back to do something, we waited for 6 minutes, she never came back, we are African American, by the lady not saying anything to us but looked at us with a dirty nasty look and went to the back, she gave us no acknowledgement that we were customers wanting her to take our order, she never came back to take our order; so we left after trying to wait on her for 6 minutes. We saw that she outright discriminated against us, her actions told it all, she could had acknowledged us when we first came in and she didn't, she was very very rude, disrespectful, hateful, prejudice and out right did not want to help us and she didn't!! read more

We shared the ceviche, i had a burrito (dry) with Al pastor, my partner had the same but wet with chili verde, the kids shared a quesabirria plate. The food was delicious and had so much flavor. The horchata was good too! House made. I wish I would have tried the jamaica.

So I had to return it . I the ordered a Coronita Margarita and that is/was tasty. They do have many different offerings of tequilas. And honestly fairly priced. I started with the Fondido de queso basically a Chorizo fondue. It was very good, only the chips were stale. Not all the chips so just so you know, I ordered the chicken mole enchiladas. The service has been very accommodating. The flavor from the mole was perfect, smooth rich a touch of heat and chocolate. Very flavorful and with the sides of black beans and rice, a tasty pairing. There is side of sweet corn , completing the plate. Great dish. I arrived at 1130 which apparently was the best time. By noon the place was packed and jumping. TVs for the games and plenty of room, so not so crowded despite the amount of people. Great place for a date , or family/friends gathering.

They do not take reservations. First come first serve, so be prepared to wait! No private lot, street parking only.

I would've happily ordered a second plate and called it "dessert." Overall, I'd definitely come back--mostly because those drunken noodles are already living rent-free in my head.

We were seated outside, which also looked nice at first glance, but I noticed quite a few spider webs around the windows. My boyfriend even felt webs brushing against his arm while we were sitting there, which wasn't exactly the extra ambiance we were expecting. We ordered quite a bit: spicy Pad Thai, Bang Bang Shrimp, Pad See Ew, mango sticky rice, and of course the Thai tea with the popsicle. I'll give credit where it's due. The Bang Bang Shrimp was easily the best thing we ordered and was absolutely delicious. The Thai tea popsicle also lived up to the TikTok hype, although the actual Thai tea itself was on the sweeter side. If you love sugar, you'll probably enjoy it. My biggest complaint with the food was the spicy Pad Thai. The flavor was great, but it came with what felt like a whole chicken farm and a cameo appearance from the noodles. I ordered Pad Thai, not chicken with noodle garnish. The Pad See Ew was also noticeably salty. Now you're probably wondering why I'm giving this place a low rating if most of the food was decent. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the meal. When it was time to pay, my aunt was figuring out how much everyone needed to Zelle her since the restaurant only allows a maximum of two cards for split payments. While we were trying to do the math, our waiter stood over us watching the payment screen like he was supervising a final exam. He was clearly waiting to make sure a tip was entered. My aunt politely asked him to give us a minute, and thankfully he walked away. Maybe when you see a family actively calculating a bill, that's your cue to...actually give them a minute. Keep in mind we also tipped 20% despite all this. Throughout the meal, he did stop by our table, but it rarely felt like he was checking in to make sure everything was okay. If anything I felt rushed. He also gave off that "customer service smile" that disappears the moment you stop looking. The cherry on top for me happened as we were leaving. We had been sitting on the outdoor patio talking for a bit after paying, which is pretty normal for my family. Before leaving, I went inside to ask where the restroom was. The guy and girl behind the bar looked at each other, laughed, and then asked if I was a paying customer. Keep in mind, I was literally holding a to-go bag with leftovers from the restaurant. I responded, "Yeah, I just finished eating," while holding up the bag that made it painfully obvious. Only then did they tell me where the restroom was. Nothing says "valued customer" quite like being interrogated about whether you actually ate there while carrying your leftovers. It's unfortunate because the food had some highlights, and the restaurant itself has a cute atmosphere. But the service made it feel like customers are viewed more as transactions than guests. Between hovering over us during payment and questioning whether I even belonged there after spending money, I left feeling more unwelcomed than satisfied. I'll happily support a restaurant that appreciates my business instead of making me feel like I have to prove I earned the right to use the restroom after paying for dinner.

I showed up around 5pm and sure enough there was already a line forming in front of the restaurant. The restaurant is located around a neighborhood, so you have to find street parking, which can be challenging. I already did my research on what I wanted to order, so my process went fairly smoothly. I imagine some other people were not as prepared and asked a lot of questions at the counter which can make the wait time even longer for other people in line. We ordered caesar salad, pizza focaccia with soppressata, squid ink tonnerelli, and ribeye tagliata. We also ordered some glasses of wine. After ordering, they walked us to our table inside. This location used to be a bbq restaurant- shady grove- before they closed down. And wow I was so impressed by the change of the patio vibe. It looked way nicer now under Due Fuori. I truly believe the vibe of a restaurant is equally important to the quality of the food, and this place nailed it. Also, apparently you can still order more stuff even after you're seated. They don't really have dedicated server for each table but the service was pretty efficient in my opinion. Now the food, everything was delicious, I have no notes! Caesar salad, very good. Pizza, omg amazing. And I'm not a pizza kinda person, so this is really a compliment! It's the thick kind of pizza, and they put some honey on it too which makes it even more delicious to me. Next was the squid ink pasta, another delightful dish. My only complaint is that it's not big enough of a portion, haha! The ribeye tagliata was so good. It was served with some salad that's very refreshing. The server explained to us that the original dish comes with the greens and cherry tomatoes underneath the meat, but they serve it separately to keep the freshness and crunch. The meat has some nice crust on the outside, very flavorful. We ended up taking some of the ribeye home, as we were already really full. It was plenty of food to share between two people. I definitely will come back to try other dishes, especially the other popular pasta dishes. This place has been really popular and I heard the line is still long even after a few months (or maybe it has been a year now?). La Taqueria is not just a restaurant it's a life changing experience. The moment I took my first bite, I felt like I had been transported to another dimension where every taco is crafted by culinary geniuses. The flavors were so incredible that I genuinely had to stop and question everything I thought I knew about food. The tacos were packed with perfectly seasoned meat, fresh toppings, and tortillas that tasted like they were made by angels themselves. Every bite somehow got better than the last. The salsa deserves its own award because it added the perfect amount of flavor and kick. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the food came out fast. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Long Beach is lucky to have La Taqueria because this place is absolutely out of this world. I'll be dreaming about these tacos until my next visit. Didn't realize this place was even in the strip mall next to McDonald's before so I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Quesabirria tacos & horchata for myself and the carne asada quesadilla for my fiancé. I tell you the horchata was so good that I didn't even make it outta the parking lot before I finished it off! Service was nice, friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. I don't usually visit the same restaurant multiple days in a row, but this place changed that. I've been here three days straight, and I'm already planning my next visit. Their quesataco birria is absolutely incredible, perfectly crispy tortilla, juicy and flavorful beef. Every bite feels like comfort and flavor wrapped in one. The food was amazing and the service even better. We came here after seeing reviews on Facebook and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. I got the Cali Fries with al pastor (hold the cheese sauce lol) and a Horchata (yumm) and my friend got the al pastor tacos. The meat was juicy and tender just like we like it. And the service was amazing as well. Sergio took such great care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. The only thing I would wish we had was more tables lol but once a nice family left Sergio made sure our table was clean before we sat down, which was really nice. This is my first time coming here and on Christmas at that not only are they open but the food walking in smelled amazing. Service was very quick Alondra was very quick to try to help us but it being our first time we asked for a minute to look at the menu. When we were ready Alondra was quick to help us and was very polite and patient with us. This place has a very homey atmosphere even with being next to a fast food place. This the first time I've tried La Taqueria and it was surprisingly delicious. I tend not to trust places like these since I would assume it's americanized. However, my assumption for this place was wrong. It's very authentic and the street tacos were literally as if I got them from a taquero in south la or at a house party. Great customer service too. I forgot his name but he was welcoming and informed me they have breakfast options and menudo on weekends. Forgive me but I think his name was carls or carlos? We've been here half a dozen times. Carlos helped us out as soon as we walked in. Great customer service. Really great flavors, we got the adobo shrimp burrito and the birria plate. The food and condiments on the menu offer a wide selection. To pair my girlfriend and I shared a pepino limón agua fresca. We love the food here. What a discovery! I live in LA, but I go twice a week to Long Beach. I discovered LA Taqueria some 6 month ago and what a discovery!!! One of the BEST Fast Food I have been. Their Chips are amazing. We ordered the birria plate, the Tacos Tijuana order which come with 3 tacos with your choice of meat, an Horchata, and a Coca-Cola medio litro. It felt like the quality has really gone downhill. The only positive was that the drinks were strong. They used to have the best chips and salsa, which was one of my favorite parts, but even that didn't live up to what I remember. Sadly, I won't be returning.

They give a complimentary basket with some beans and green sauce on top. I thought that was interesting and different. Those were fine although I thought the beans were a bit bland. My husband got the taco and enchilada combo with beans and rice and I got 2 tacos, one chicken and one beef. Honestly, it didn't blow us away. The food was ok. Not amazing and we've had better. We likely won't go back.

To my understanding they do have a dude come play music or a band or something, but while I was there they had one of those classic Swap meet party speakers with the flashing lights y todo jamming out to cumbias sonideras. It no joke reminded me of my tio and tia's house parties for sure! Need a place to have a party? This place is it! Especially if you show up on early and take over the tables. I saw a dude show up with a 12-pack and claim the table and him and his homey's planned to just chill for a while. Puro Pinche Parry! The menu is a little confusing. I've seen pictures on here and Google that have pretty legit chalk work and others with markers. We got the yellow poster board with black marker. One side says "menu" and the other "meats". Some who showed up who were not familiar with the menu, all had the same questions, but others who have been here before knew exactly what to order. To me, it was pretty standard and straight to the point. So no problem there, but for a place that has been there for ... I'm guessing 3 years (based on posts) or so as a legit business on Friday's and Saturday's only, I think they could have something more established, right? My homey answered: "I know right." As for the food, according to my taste: The pollo (chicken): very bland and needs more seasoning. The Gobernador taco: it was just okay. It has enough seasoning, just not to my liking. too much garlic. The adobada tacos: same as the chicken - a little bland. it has flavor, but it's a different flavor than other adobado tacos from other Mexican joints. (Maybe it's their adobada from whatever region in Mexico they are from...). Gobernador Burrito: I think this is supposed to be their specialty... i don't want to say it was bad because it wasn't, but it wasn't great either. It's a mixture of Carne Asada, Shrimp, special sauce (chipotle and sour cream???...) I think, cabbage and onions with a lot of garlic. It's okay sized, but the flavor was odd. Carne Asada: these are good. I would get more of these. By far the best on this menu. (For me). We didn't try the alambre or the vampiro ones because we were going with the base meats to get the baseline flavors and I think that's good enough for me get the info I needed, then again maybe I should've got them.... Maybe next time. Price point: for the price I think it's worth it. We got a lot of food and it was only $25. Oh yeah, the tacos are prepared plain - so just meat and tortillas (2). It's up to you put the onion, cilantro, salsa, and lime - just like at my tio's house. The tortillas are probably the big bag from Northgate Market - based on flavor and texture. Overall: The staff is really nice and you can tell they're all family which is awesome to see. Parking is horrible because this part of town has really narrow streets and it's all residential. Actually, this place is a house. It's the front yard of the house. Props on the yard, it's very well maintained. So again... just like my tio's house. I get that it's a local spot and yeah this place is kind of cool and makes you feel at home ( a Mexican home), but man, I'd hate to be their neighbors. Which funny enough, as I walked here one of the neighbors looked at me and gave me the OJO! Ay Guey! Cool little spot in the hood though.
