#1 Combo plate was delicious! Best tacos I've had in quite some time. Best birria tacos I've had in LA.

It was a very good meal. Here's what I had, two tripa tacos and a carne asada vampiro. It was…read more$16 for those items. Man, that's expensive for a taco truck. It was good, but I was thinking that this might be the best ever. It wasn't that. Just as good as any taco truck. Still good, but I'm glad I went because it wasn't special for me and I no longer have to be bound by curiosity. I'll be able to get this experience elsewhere for a lot less money. To me the GOAT is Tire Shop Taqueria in downtown LA. It's still very inexpensive there, and every bite is a savor. I live in Hermosa Beach, and we have an outpost of tacos Tamix. Luckily for me, this didn't dethrone that place So, I have a new rating system......I will write what I feel honestly about an establishment. The only ratings I will give are 5 stars, which is enjoyable, or 3 stars which is "needs work." I thought about leaving 4 stars, but then thought about my new rating system.

Ordered a carne asda taco and an adobado taco in both and flour tortilla and corn tortilla. I love the flour tortilla so much!!!! It had nice charred flavor to it that was delicious. Would just get the flour next time! It's a food truck. There was no line to place our order but getting our food took around 15 min. Food came with onions, peppers, salsas and pico de gallo! Would def get this more often if it was closer. They had seats under a tent to eat and street parking in the neighborhood.

I think this is going to be my last run to Pinky's--for 3 reasons:…read more 1. Inconsistent hours. It might show as open, but they're closed--so call before you drive over. Today it actually showed closed, but they were open. I happened to drive by and decided to grab a bite. 2. Pricing feels inconsistent. Today I was charged $13.25 for a carne asada burrito after she asked if I was paying cash. I'm guessing it costs more if you don't pay cash. For reference, the menu on the cart lists it at $12. 3. Questionable quality. There's nothing wrong with a $15 or even $20 taco truck burrito if the quality and portion stay solid. But the flavor tasted heavily loaded with MSG, and the asada was chopped into tiny pieces, which felt like it was meant to hide meat that was dry or chewy. At best, this is a $8 burrito--and I do have an issue paying $13.25 for something that tastes and portions like a $8 burrito. Disappointing overall. I'll be branching out and trying other taco trucks in the area.

Pretty solid taco truck. I've tried the carne asada, al pastor, and chicken tacos; I think they're…read moreall good choices but I especially like the al pastor because of the flavor. The meat is juicy and very flavorful, and they load it with onions/cilantro. Besides the tacos, I tend to get the carne asada fries which are full of meat and cheese. The mulita was also yummy! I recently tried the tacos with beans and rice, and the rice was good but the beans were slightly undercooked... I was also expecting refried beans, so was a bit disappointed by what came out. The first time I came here, my partner and I waited for over 20 minutes for our food. They let us know after that they're typically busy with online orders, and that it's a good idea to call ahead to reduce the wait time. We didn't like waiting for the food mainly because the area the truck is at is slightly sketchy at night. It felt unsafe to leave our car unattended while we wait for the food, so definitely call ahead to order!
