There are a lot of things great about this place. The free and easy parking as well as the wonderfully decorated interior, good music and vibes are really nice. However, the coffee was nothing special in my opinion. I got the cookie dough latte half sweet and the caramel latte also half sweet. This was a good move because I could tell that full sweetness would not have been to my taste. The lattes being $8 at baseline was just a bit too much for what it is. However, maybe the matcha is what I should be trying next time. Either way, I find it difficult to justify paying this much. I have gotten cheaper drinks in New York for better quality, which is saying a lot. Service was excellent. My friend did order some egg and cheese sliders on the menu from OMG burger, which he insisted was absolutely delicious. I think it would take a lot of convincing for me to come back.

Came on a weekday and it wasn't too busy. The girls were super nice but drinks were pretty pricey. I ordered the strawberry matcha. It's not too sweet if that's your style! Strawberry puree was pretty good. I also ordered with oat milk which I felt like overpowered the drink a little. I'd probably recommend it with whole milk next time. It feels cozy and sophisticated inside. Parking is free, just use the QR code to get in and out and ask the baristas for the code to validate!
I tried the Passion Fruit Matcha with 2% milk. At the $8-$9 price point, it's definitely on the pricer side, but the quality is a solid 8/10. I would've loved a bit more flavor from the passion fruit, but overall it was a very good drink. The environment is perfect for working or studying. The music is low, it's not too loud, and the entire space is clean. The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, which really elevates the experience. My only minor critique is that I wish the tables were a bit larger for a full workspace, but the free parking is a major plus that makes the visit so much easier.

Neighbors with OMG burger AnnKello Kahawa is definitely a one of its kind. I visit because of a long outstanding line, I seen from driving by on Westhimer road. I learned that this beautiful black own business craft handmade matcha, which explains the line. I witness him hand ground each cup with a granite stone mills known as ishiusu. This place is displays characteristic pieces that makes this cafe unique, modern, & very upscale. The line was way too long for my time schedule, I promise I'll be back to try this TicTok viral, Tanzania own, unique cafe shop.
Loved it. The vibe is great. Nice seating. Low lights. Great music. Not a huge selection of drinks but a good amount. The lavender latte was really good. There's something for everyone. Staff was nice. It's just a cute friend or date spot.

Stopped by with a friend after waiting for the hype to calm down, but there was still a line out the door! The line made it feel pretty crowded inside. Seating is already limited so seating may be uncomfortable when there's a line inside and people waiting on drinks. There are a few small tables outside, and they do offer free parking, though it can be tricky to find. The staff was very friendly and welcoming! I ordered the chocolate chip cookie dough latte - it was a bit pricey, but flavorful and definitely aesthetic. Not my absolute favorite coffee spot, but it looks like the matcha fans definitely love it. (I'm not a matcha person as much as I am coffee). But overall cute spot and worth trying
First time coming here it is a little CONFUSING. Use the PARKING GARAGE that is deeper in & closest to the building. There is a sign at the other garage that parking is not validated for OMG Burger & Annkello there. SCAN THE QR CODE. They are not able to VALIDATE physical tickets. With the ticket you are able to park 20 MIN FOR FREE From the garage take the covered walk way to enter the building. Go straight until you see an open door at the end of the hallway. The coffee shop is the door on the right. If you're like me & exited the building, walk all the way to the front & it's the RED DOOR. The interior is very sophisticated with leather seats & marble. For long term seating for studying/working there aren't many options. You could do the high top bar or the bench seating with 2 large tables by the front windows. The rest of the tables are a little small for a laptop in my opinion. I ordered the CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE DOUGH LATTE. I thought it was not too sweet & well balanced. I would get this latte again. They do serve BREAKFAST SLIDERS in collaboration with Omg burger next door. I'll be back to try their matcha!
Visited here around 9:30pm so it was pretty empty. The parking is straight forward- there's a garage for multiple restaurants within this Westheimer hub and parking is validated. The interior is neatly designed and intimate. The warm brown tones and chrome details give it a retro feel. There's a bar area to sit as well as a few small tables (probably not an ideal spot to work from). We ordered the hot caramel latte and strawberry matcha with oat milk- both were really good and not overly sweet. The matcha was a beautiful color and the strawberry syrup gave it a nice balance. The staff were friendly with recommendations and completing our order. I will be coming here again.
A very cute small shop that was packed on a Sunday, ir almost reminded me of the coffee shops in Tokyo. The prices are a bit steep and the service isn't the fastest, but I really enjoyed my strawberry matcha. It was sweet but not overly so, and very pretty. I didn't care for the signature Ankhello coffee, as it tasted a bit burnt. We also got a cruffin. I liked the fact that they heat it for you, but they don't give you a plate or anything other than a paper bag to set it on if you're eating inside. This place is worth visiting - their matcha is particularly nice.
This place has been blowing up so I had to come check it out! I was confused when the GPS said I arrived and it was just a huge office building. Luckily, there are signs around that tell you to park in the garage and they validate. It was easy to find a parking spot and I recommend doing the QR code method in the garage instead of a ticket. They sent me nextdoor to OMG burger for ticket validation because they're only able to do the QR code. Even with the validation sticker, I had issues getting out of the garage. Luckily the parking attendant was nice and helped me get out free of charge! Walking out of the garage, if you walk straight ahead towards the street and turn left around the building, it will be on your left. I didn't know this & just went into the huge building and was lost! If this happens to you, just keep walking all the way down the hall and you'll eventually see a sign! The ambiance of the coffee shop is very intimate, modern, and aesthetic; great place to catch up with some friends. There's seats along the walls and a bartop situation, but tables are fairly small and it gets crowded so I probably wouldn't study/do work here. It was a Monday afternoon and I waited about 20 minutes in line to order, another 5-10 to get my drink. I got the chai matcha with whole milk and opted for cinnamon on top. The chai was delicious, but it definitely tastes more like a regular chai latte than matcha! The matcha itself is very light, not very rich/umami if you're into that. Perfect amount of light sweetness. Would recommend this if you're not looking for something with a strong matcha taste. My drink came out to almost $9 so it's on the pricier side. Their menu has a lot of great combinations and is definitely worth the try!

AnnKello Kahawa is a relatively new Tanzanian coffee shop located in the Galleria Park II complex. There is a big red sign saying "mobile payment and easy parking" leading you to believe that you have to pay for parking and the adjacent contractor and visitor parking garage but rest assured if you visit OMG! Burger or Annkello you get free parking in the garage if you scan the QR code then follow the instructions prompted. Go down the path directly into the building and cut all the way through to get to the coffee shop. But if you enter directly from the outside, you can wrap around the building to find the bright red door you cannot miss. Upon entering, I was surprised to be met with a chic, professional anterior with its warm toned woods and back lit lighting. The space itself is not very big, but there is bar seating and booths lining the wall with small personal tables. They do offer free Wi-Fi, but the small tables make me think that this is not an ideal place to work unless you sit at the bar with more counter space. When I came on a Saturday afternoon, it was mostly a place for people to grab and go coffee or slow down and hang out for a bit. Not many laptops in sight, although there were some. Atmosphere was not very loud. I perused the all day breakfast menu in collaboration with OMG burger, new drink menu, and normal drink menu. There are also pastries. I have never had Tanzania in coffee before, so I opted for the namesake AnnKello Kahawa drink, described to be a perfect balance between Tanzanian beans and sweetness. Truly it was sweet but not overpoweringly so, and I was extremely impressed with its milk-base that was creamier than normal lattes. I wondered if they use heavy cream along with milk in any way. Honestly amazed with this coffee shop, and it has become a new favorite in Houston. P.S. Remember to follow the instructions to validate your parking! There is a little sign near the cashier that says, " free parking in garage if you have a take it: Ask your barista for the validation sticker Scanned the QR code: Promo code is [whatever they change it to]" P.S.S. I came on a Saturday afternoon. Parking was really easy and is located in the garage with plenty of spaces available. Make sure to bring your parking ticket inside so the store can validate it. I ordered the Mango Matcha and Strawberry Matcha. I'm definitely not a matcha expert and honestly have pretty low standards when it comes to matcha, but this was easily one of my least favorites. There was an overwhelming amount of syrup in both drinks. When I tried the Strawberry Matcha, all I could taste was strawberry syrup. There was so much of it that I couldn't taste the matcha at all. Oddly enough, it tasted more like strawberry cereal milk than a strawberry matcha. Unfortunately, the service wasn't very welcoming or friendly either. When I asked to have my parking ticket validated, the staff member snatched the ticket out of my hand. It was such a weird interaction, especially considering I was simply asking for my ticket to be validated. Nonetheless, I'm glad I got to check this place off my list, but spending around $20 for two mediocre matchas along with an unpleasant interaction was definitely not ideal. read more

As someone who's chronically online, you already know that Annkello showed up on my social media explore feed, so, of course, I had to go check it out! My friends and I came here on New Year's Day (mind you, it was a Thursday) expecting it to be quiet, but we were oh so wrong... we got there around 5 pm, and the line nearly went out the door. Parking was in a garage near the Galleria Mall, so you know the situation was abysmal, but you can get it validated at the cashier station! I must give Annkello their accolades for a gorgeous, minimal interior; though seating was limited and crowded, so this is definitely more of a come-and-go establishment. We ended up waiting about 20 - 30 minutes to order and receive our drinks as well. Annkello is mainly known for its matcha, but I enjoy an iced latte with a unique flavor, too, so I ordered both, knowing I wouldn't frequent this place often. The drinks I ordered were the iced Cookie Dough Chocolate Chip latte and the iced Mango Matcha latte, both with oat milk, and I requested less sweetness for the matcha drink. - Cookie Dough Chocolate Chip latte: (5/5), it was creamy and not overly sweet. However, I don't taste much cookie or chocolate; honestly, it just tastes like your regular latte... but I'm not too nitpicky with my coffee either. - Mango Matcha: (4.5/5), you're probably thinking that this is a crazy combo, and it sorta is, but I thought it was pretty delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed slurping it during my movie! The mango puree was not overpowering at all, and I was able to enjoy a balance of fruity, earthy, and grassy flavors that are prominent with matcha. I'd be interested in trying their other matcha flavors! Both drinks, including the milk alternatives, ended up costing at least $18... but overall, I had a pleasant experience. :) read more
There's better matcha drinks out there. Parking: terrible parking situation. It's located on the first floor of a commercial building. It's surrounded by valet service and security. Yet, for a one time, 15-20 min stop, I couldn't find a spot to park nearby. I parked further and on the street, hoping there wouldn't be any consequences. Entrance: once inside the building, don't feel weird. Follow the smell and there will be a sign poiting to Annkello Kahawa to the right. There's OMG Burger next door. Ordering: their POS is located in the middle. Not sure if you should start the queue from the left or the right. Ambiance: very aesthetic, modern looking with those thick art books on display, who we know nobody will read. Great photo op. Multiple minuscule tables fixated to the long wall booth. One bigger seating capacity sofa towards the window. Drink: ordered the matcha, Annkello Kahawa Matcha. It tasted powdery, with 95% milk. Not great. All drinks have an expensive pricing start point of $7.50 for coffees and $7.75. Alternative milks are $1 extra. Staff asked whether I liked matcha or sweet flavors more. As I wanted to taste their original drink, I answered matcha. So she suggested an additional shot of matcha, which cost another $1!? This business model is insane. Glad I didn't opt for this. I do not recommend it either. So my drink cost a total of $8.75 ($7.75 + $1 for the oat milk). Then, please let me rant on the tipping culture. The POS automatically opted for an additional $2 tip. Come on, 23% tip almost for an order at the counter and to-go drink? This experience went from puzzling to find the place to terrible lasting thoughts. Not a great business plan. Care for your customers, don't take advantage of them. One time trial. Went, tried, tasted. Not going back. read more

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. My wife brought me here for my birthday after seeing it on TikTok. I ordered a caramel latte which was so amazingly smooth and delicious. Not overly sweet. Then I ordered a strawberry Matcha, which was the best Matcha I have ever had in my life. We ended up coming back two days later for my wife's birthday and I ordered a blueberry latte, which was very, not my style, but I actually really enjoyed it and then I tried the passionfruit matcha which was also very good. They have a bomb playlist and everybody is really nice. All of the coffee and the Matcha I tried was impeccably made everything smooth and perfectly balanced. I wish they had a location in the Woodlands or spring so I could frequent it more. read more
There was a lot of anticipation for Annkello Kahawa to open their storefront -- and honestly, with good reason. My sister and I stopped by on a Sunday evening a few hours before closing, and there was still a long line. They were having some system issues, which slowed things down a bit, but that's understandable for a brand-new spot. It took about 30 minutes for us to order. We were lucky to snag seats at the bar, which ended up being the best part because we got to watch the owner make our drinks. As he whisked the matcha, we could smell how fragrant it was, and the color alone told us it was going to be good -- and we were absolutely right. My sister ordered the mango matcha, and I had the strawberry matcha. Both were 10/10. The strawberry flavor tasted fresh and delicious, and the matcha itself was earthy, vibrant, and definitely not watered down. I'll definitely be back, and I'd absolutely recommend trying this place out. In my opinion, it's worth the wait. read more

I'm genuinely confused by the raving reviews for the strawberry matcha here. It was terrible...very artificial-tasting, and the strawberry jam was overpowering. (The jam itself didn't taste like strawberry either.) The saving grace is that the hot chocolate was good. However, I took one sip of the matcha and tossed it out. Big disappointment. read more

This was my first time at annkello Kahawa after hearing great reviews from friends and online. The staff were really nice and accommodating. They were very helpful about choosing the right amount of sweetness for the drinks! Sadly, the quality of the drinks were not as great. The syrups were good but they overpowered the matcha flavoring. It honestly tasted like sweet milk which was disappointing. I had high expectations after hearing good things. Tips before going would be to scan the QR code at the garage. They no longer validate parking in store everything is online. read more
Cute concept, where do you park????? You can park in the garage, and they validate your ticket, and or, pick it up from OMG burger. I actually got lost in the garage but whatevs. Omg it's bc it goes down into the basement ok! But that's not why the4 stars. It's next to omg burger, I almost missed the entrance, but yea look for the red door. Interior is small and intimate, it feels like it could bc a night lounge after hours, that would definitely be a vibe Croissants are delivered via wholesaler? They don't know, but my almond croissant wasn't given to me until like 15 min after I ordered it. Why? Idk? I almost forgot, but a mini is like $5 so I need to do better on remembering. I got AnnKello Kahawa, their latte, and I was like hmm what should I get? What does it taste like? Not much description given, but when I got it, it taste like vanilla latte, bro like why didn't you just say that. Maybe I'm having a day, or maybe this small inconveniences really bothered me. A cool bar vibe for coffee and matcha lovers. Fun fact: I've been working on a plan to make my own house with a coffee bar vibe like here so it's great to see something like that in my head come alive. Anywho... Service was okay. Nothing spectacular. I noticed they only acknowledged certain people as I was sitting there trying to decide what to get. I wasn't acknowledged when I walked in from the front entrance and had no idea where to order or when the menu was. Everyone just seem to hoover around the register until I realized that's where the menus are. Some of their customers seem stuck-up as well but I don't count that against the staffs or this establishment. Anyways, I finally ordered and didn't take long to get my drinks. They were semi-busy but not out-the-door-busy. Passionfruit Matcha was delicious! I went with whole milk, just to see how their matcha would be. It's not too sweet and has good matcha. Not the best matcha I have ever had but one of the good ones in Houston. If you're in the area, I would suggest coming here for matcha. Next time, I will try their latte. Their menu isn't crazy so I'm sure I'll be able to try every single drink here in the near future. TIP: Park in the garage on the side. You need to scan their QR code at the entrance gate to get in for free and scan it again when leaving. There's a 20 minute grace period for free parking. Otherwise, you will be paying $3+ like I did. Also, there's two ways to get into the coffee shop. One at the front with the red door in between Hachi and OMG burger! or in the back, right by the garage. *****3.5/5 STARS****** This review is strictly for Mkello Kahawa's coffee cart that I recently catered at a party of mine. I have not been to the store front but I think I should be able to review the cart and their services based off my experience. I do plan on going to their store front but I do want to leave this review if anyone decides to cater from them for one of their parties. My review for catering would be a 3.5/5. The drinks and service were great but communication with the owner prior to the event was not the best. When you plan a party and spend so much money you want the best. And the communication was definitely lacking in that department. No directions were followed prior to the event which had me second guessing booking them. We had to do a lot of the heavy lifting to set up their cart the day before the event which was not fair for us. The day of the event everything went well- the 2 employees that were sent were nothing but amazing. We did have issues with their coffee machine randomly not working which was frustrating. Another thing was that the straws people were drinking out of kept breaking, so a lot of guests complained they could not finish their drinks because of that issue. They also ran out of lids for the drinks which was also not the best. If I'm paying so much money how can we run out of lids? Over all my experience with their supplies was not the best. :( The drinks i tried at the party- - Cookie Dough Latte- 7/10. This was good but too sweet according to our guests - Matcha strawberry - 9/10. Everyone enjoyed it and wished they could have enjoyed the drink more bc of the poor quality straws. Everyone enjoyed the drinks, but this was just my feedback I thought was important to share. Communication is so important when you hire someone for an event and I feel like it should be worked on from their end. Your customers are spending so much money. It's not fair when we have to set up the coffee cart and get things ready the day before because you do not want to read or follow directions. I wish them the best with Annkello! I can't wait to go in person and try their drinks. read more
No I'm sorry but there's no way that people actually enjoy coming here. The inside is aesthetically pleasing but the drinks are so bad. If I wanted to just drink milk I can do that at home. The matcha doesn't have enough matcha, it's just straight up milk. I also got an iced coffee and asked for it to be half sweet and it was just straight up sugar. read more
New coffee shop in the galleria area next to Hachi and OMG burger! A bit of a wait on a saturday morning. Got the Lavender Iced Latte with oatmilk and an extra shot of espresso. They nailed the lavender flavor and the coffee taste. Really good! Not too milky either. Inside was very Urban and had some couch/cocktail seating. Parking - They do validate your ticket. BEST MATCHA EVER!! I had the pleasure of coming during their grand opening after seeing them on TikTok and I was far from disappointed. The decor is very Neo-soul and they have soft rap, r&b, and afrobeats playing in the background which I loveee. All the workers I've met so far are so kind and hardworking which makes sense because so is the owner! They have a different coffee, matcha, and refresher options and although not as many compared to bigger coffee shops, the quality definitely beats the quality. I have been getting matcha for years but I never tasted any difference in quality until I came to Annkello Kahawa! I got the blueberry matcha and it was just so creamy and refreshing rather than the more earthy taste I get from most matcha. I knew that I wasn't overhyping it when my friend who has never liked matcha even liked it!! It was so good I was thinking about it for daysss and I literally had to come back. That time I got the mango matcha and once again it didn't disappoint so 10/10, FOR SURE recommend. read more
Great place to get Matcha in Houston! They have a parking garage that can be validated, beautiful space and wasn't too crowded. I enjoyed how they had Ramadan hours. I said this before since I've had the pop-up, but the syrup was better than the Matcha, a bit more on the milky side, but overall great experience. I highly recommend and I would come back. read more
Popped in here today to get my morning "wake me up!" We got the Iced Strawberry Matcha and the Iced Blueberry Latte. As you can see from the picture, both were extremely aesthetically pleasing, and it definitely helped that they tasted fantastic too. I personally am not a fan of matcha, but I took a sip of my wife's and it was solid! Didn't have the "earthy" taste that matcha typically have, and the strawberry was a nice mix for it. read more

Mmmm...I don't understand the hype. IG does it again. Parking? Annoying. Location? Takes attention and some assumption. Service was young: everyone is on their phones before and after ringing you up. I was overlooked as next in line bc I sat at the bar. The woman behind me being serviced had to alert the barista that I was, in fact, next. Then barista made me get up to go order at the register two seats away. So why have a bar if you're not going to service the bar? It rubbed me the wrong way. She also didn't ask if I wanted my order for here. Do they not offer this either? I sat at the bar and tore into my to go muffin (shout out Love Croissants). My annkello was just ok. Interior is nice with a solid playlist. Not worth all the hoops, imo. Two word review: Giant Leap. read more

Located in the Galleria area, this place is tucked inside an office building so was hard to find at first. Parking in the garage is complimentary for the first 20 minutes or you can have your ticket validated. Staff was welcoming and drinks were amazing! We got the mango matcha and strawberry matcha and can't wait to return to try the others! read more
First time here, I was so excited and drove out my way to try their matcha a few weeks ago. Once there, only to find out there they didn't have power. I decided to sit and wait for a while to see if the power came back on. Kudos to the young gentleman who decided to use his hot spot, making a way for us to be able to pay during the power outage. They were only able to make matcha, which is why I was there. I ordered the strawberry matcha and am so glad I decided to stay. It was well worth it because it was delicious. Also wasn't expecting the establishment to be inside of an office building. There is a parking garage there, and they validate parking. All workers were friendly with smiles, even though they couldn't really help customers during this time. read more

I will preface this review by stating I am not a matcha connoisseur and I generally don't like matcha. But I've been on a search for good matcha and this is a place that has it! Strawberry matcha was phenomenal. I also got their s'mores latte which was equally as good. The place can get very packed so be aware. Customer service is ok, nothing terrible but doesn't stand out. Definitely a must try. read more
The service here was super sweet and quick. I loved my drink, as did my friend. The price is a bit high but unsurprising for the neighborhood. I loved the interior and that it was a coffee bar open later in the evening, which is rare. Parking can be pretty confusing though, bc it seems to share with the office buildings nearby.
