Superior dining. We were poolside and could hear the singer in the bar well. Food was excellent. My cocktail was not good but others were good. Chicken was crispy and had good flavor. LGBTQ+ friendly

Heard a lot about this place. Went for breakfast and really enjoyed the vibe and the food. Service was great too. I had the Blackstone Benedict which was tasty....home fries had a great taste. My wife enjoyed the classic breakfast. Nice list of mimosas and a good bloody mary.

We went for dinner, make reservations. We sat outside and the atmosphere is chill and romantic. The food is amazing!! We had shrimp scampi and seafood pasta (special of the day). Both dishes were delicious. The shrimp was sooooo good. Staff is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

    Biscuits and Gravy

We dined here for the complimentary breakfast that came with our room. The food was good and what I would have expected. I do like the environment as it's practically outside and on a lovely morning like we had, it was nice. Our waiter was attentive and overall service was good. The complimentary menu is more limited than their regular menu, but we tried the biscuits and gravy (which I judge a restaurant by) and they were what I would have hoped. If you like biscuits and gravy, get them! My husband had the Eggs La Te Da, which he liked. He wasn't a fan of the sour cream in the eggs, but I know I would have enjoyed them. We also tried a single pancake because I do love a good pancake. It was good and what I would have hoped. They do serve it with a whipped oleo or what seemed like a non-butter spread. On our trips we like to venture out to lots of places so we didn't have dinner here, but if/when we come back, we will add it to the list and recommend you give them a try if you are in the area. Make a reservation for dinner, the two nights we walked through here, it was packed.

Southernmost Sausage Gravy and Biscuits - True country Sage Sausage Gravy on a warm Buttermilk Biscuit
    John R.

I believe this was my first time ever having biscuits and gravy so don't judge me too harshly for that. The Southernmost Sausage Gravy and Biscuits - True country Sage Sausage Gravy on a warm Buttermilk Biscuit were actually awesome -- and heavy. I didn't need to eat for the rest of the day! Our large party had a private table upstairs and service was generally good though it took a bit for us all to get our orders. The real reason to come here is the history. The name is from "La Terraza de Marti" or "The Balcony of Marti" and is indeed referenced in a Jimmy Buffett song though with a different spelling, apparently. Marti was a national hero of the Cuban Revolution and was an integral part in freeing Cuba from Spain. Yes, he gave his speeches from the balcony that is there.

    GREAT wedge salad

We always stay at La Te Da on our annual trip to Key West. This was the first time we had dinner there, as there are so many places to eat, and we always run out of time. It will not be the last time we eat there. This will be one of our usual dinner stops. The ambiance is more formal with white linen tablecloths. The tables are outside, and all the Christmas decorations make for an excellent atmosphere. The hotel is always fantastic, so I expected nothing different when it came to the food and service. Our server was very attentive and made us feel comfortable and well cared for. My wife began with a wedge salad, which she loved. She said it was one of the best wedge salads she had. She said the dressing was superb. I had the shrimp in a sambuca-infused cream sauce. It sounded interesting, and it was FANTASTIC. The shrimp were perfectly prepared; the cream sauce was smooth and perfectly seasoned to complement the shrimp, and it was served over puff pastry. We each had the crab cake entree. The crab cakes are amazing. They are large, full of fresh crab, and bursting with flavor. It was served with orzo in an incredibly rich sauce, and grilled asparagus spears. We could have easily split an entree. We ended up taking one full entree back to our room. We also had one of the best key lime pies for dessert with a very light and flavorful whipped cream. If you're looking for a special meal when in town, you owe it to yourself to try the restaurant at La te da.

Best meal we had in Key West and by far the best key lime pie! Great service and beautiful interior, we loved everything about it,. Highly recommend the Mediterranean spaghettini with shrimp!!

This restaurant is casual on the outside but very posh inside with white linen table covers and beautiful silverware with small lantern lights. The stuffed chicken was on the pricey side but decent sized and tasty. I would recommend eating at night in the outside patio to see the blue lights and trees in the courtyard. They have hotel rooms surrounding the outside dining room.

We stumbled on this place while checking things out on the southern end of Duval street, next to the Southern Most Beach Resort. We got seated in the bar area right away. (The courtyard tables were booked) I have nothing but great things to say. The food was FANTASTIC. Fish cooked and seasoned perfectly. Best spaghetti bolognese I've had in years. Lemon drops, Cape Cods and glasses of wine... top notch. Service was friendly and attentive. I loved that we sat facing the street and got to see lots of fun people and evening train rides. We didn't see a drag show because all of them were booked for a week. If you are researching a lot of restaurants before your visit to Key West like I did... add this to your bookings. It wasn't on my radar but so lucky and glad we visited.

Seafood Pasta - A special while we were here and my favorite meal of the trip!
    Lorri D.

We stayed at the La Te da hotel while we were in Key West, and since breakfast was included we also had several meals at restaurant. The breakfast was lovely, but the dinners were fantastic... Read a lot of meals when we were in Key West for the week, but my very favorite was at La Te da. The seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection! We had lunch once at the terrace bar, and the service was fantastic and the food was delicious. My mom was a huge fan of the 3Sum group which performs nightly starting at 830p. I highly recommend both the hotel and the restaurant if you're staying in the keys.

Long known as a loud, fun, and gay place to dine, we stopped by La Te Da Restaurant for dinner. I hadn't been to La Te Da in years and was surprised. The patronage has changed. It now attracts a more mature crowd, and this was during Spring Break. Times have changed. Anyway, the place was packed. No getting in without reservations. And though service was having a difficult time keeping up, they managed to do a good job. After a couple of cocktails which were of a most generous pour, I started off with their French Onion Soup done with Crostini, melted Fontina, Gruyere and Parmesan Cheese. It really had a great onion soup flavor, but there was more solid than broth to it. Then I had their Classic Caesar with a side of anchovy. It was heaping big with plenty of shaved parmesan; totally delicious. For our main entrée, my partner, and I both had their Filet Mignon done over a Mushroom Marsala Cream sauce with mashed potatoes & Asparagus. My filet came perfectly rare as ordered and my partner's medium as he has ordered. Then, last but not least, a delicious Key Lime pie. After all, you can't be in Key West without having key lime pie. Overall, a good meal with an enjoyable fun ambiance.

We didn't get much here, but, this was the best French Onion soup I've ever had. Great atmosphere, would definitely come back.

Is the bar open until 11pm? We have a late arrival and 9:15p reservations, wanting to make sure we won't be rushed?

I'm sorry I can not answer your question. After our experience we weren't sticking around for more dissapointment.

How long do they serve breakfast?

I ate dinner there. Not sure. Go to Bannanas cafe right down the street from there. Very good breakfast spot.

I know the hotel is over 21 only, but is the restaurant as well?

    No. Unless you are drinking

Fantastic venue to watch sunset although obscured by the Sunset Key as it gets low in the sky…read more Service was sketchy. Non English speaker who forgot a simple request for mayo so we could try to choke down our chicken sandwich. Food was uniquely terrible. Chicken sandwich was small for $21 and I swear it was frozen and microwaved prior to bringing out to the table. It was so dry and obviously over microwaved, but we did not say anything we just asked for mayo to try to chock it down, but the mayo never came. This is an overpriced venue that cannot even get bar food right. For the price, food quality, lackluster service, too loud music, and obstructed view, do yourself a favor and go to the Tiki Bar at the Galleon for picture perfect sunsets, followed by dinner on the marina. Spent over 2 weeks here this time and have each June for the past 20. Last year I met my Son and Daughter in law there for drinks but did not eat. Tonight is our last night here and I wanted to do something different with my girlfriend. Should have taken my own advice and stayed at the Galleon. I am in food service so tipped for food I could not each but as a KW regular I will vote with my feet and not return . Below is the sunset view from the Galleon.
