Could not have been happier. From the moment we walked through the heavy wooden door (fancy!) until we left- the host, the waitress, server, manager and even the owner were amazingly attentive and welcoming. When it's your birthday they put a nice sign at your table and everyone stops by to wish you an amazing bday. They also check in to make sure you're having a good time and enjoying your delicious meal. Now for the food: fresh, al dente and tasty. All adjectives you want running through your mind after the first bitesss. We ordered stuffed mushroom- hot and nicely seasoned. Mushrooms not overcooked and stuffing not overly cheesy. The shrimp linguine another hit with fresh tomatoes and jumbo shrimp with a nice snap. The light seasoning with lots of garlic was just perfect. We also ordered the beef short ribs. My friend said it melted on her mouth and the fresh mash potatoes- just right. Did I mention the portions were huge! Lots of goodies to take with us. To add to the dining experience we watched as patrons steadily came and went throughout the evening. You can tell this is a favorite for many. There were High-5s, handshakes and lots of "Welcome back friends!" Just an overall beautifully decked out neighborhood restaurant with so much heart and soul. I heard that the restaurant has been handed down from their grandparents... I'm sure they would be very proud. Highly recommend.

The meal started out well with the Caprese, which was actually good. Next came our entree, the carbonara was even worse and by far the biggest disappointment of the meal--the pasta was so overcooked that the sauce completely dried up and turned into scrambled eggs. The "poached egg" on top was also completely well-done, so it literally felt like eating boiled eggs with dry, bland pasta. After that, they brought out our other appetizer, the stuffed mushrooms, which were also noticeably under-seasoned. Finally, the pizza arrived, which was decent, but it's pretty hard to mess up a pizza. The service just made everything worse. Our server told us right at the beginning that sourdough bread was coming out, but it never arrived--we only realized it after we paid the check. Our water glasses were never refilled once throughout our stay. To top it off, when the desserts were brought out, our server just dropped them in the middle of our large table without giving us any small plates and completely disappeared. Because we were seated at the large table, it was really awkward for everyone to reach and share. Since our server was nowhere to be found, we actually had to flag down a completely different server just to get small plates. Our original server only finally resurfaced when we asked for the check. Between the bland food and the total lack of basic service, we definitely won't be coming back.

We do not frequently visit the area so we've missed it for all these years. Sadly it's a quite a drive. If it was closer, we'd come here all time. It was clearly our first time and the staff were very friendly. They answered all of our questions and concerns. We ordered $65 worth of vegan food just so we can take it back home. We sat inside and ate. The food was so good. It was flavorful and the portions they gave us were a LOT. Highly recommended and will definitely be back.

We started by ordering the 3-item combo with vegan Orange Chicken, Spicy Mongolian Beef, Mushroom Chicken, vegan fried rice, and chow mein. We thought we were done... Then we spotted the specials. Vegan Chicken Katsu?! A few seconds later...Vegan Popcorn Chicken?! DOUBLE WHAT?! While we were still processing those life-changing discoveries, fresh vegan egg rolls came out of the kitchen. At that point, our self-control officially clocked out for the day. Into the order they went! When our combo arrived, it was packed to the brim like someone forgot the container had a lid. Everything came out piping hot, fresh, and bursting with flavor. We told ourselves we'd take it to go...that lasted about 12 seconds. One bite in, we looked at each other and said, "Yeah...we're eating here." If you're craving vegan Chinese food, stop scrolling and just go. Your taste buds will thank you, and your future self will forgive the food coma. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Whittier!

Pastrami Reuben -ratio of pastrami to sauerkraut was perfection. Pickled onions tied everything together, soo good! Only down side to my sandwich was the pastrami was pretty fibrous/stringy but it was only a couple of pieces which didn't upset me too much. Tom's Way -pretty wet sandwich but everything paired well. Flavorful and filling but doesn't leave you feeling heavy. Spicy Gabagool -the sauce they use is chef's kiss. Not so much spicy but more of a season spiced. Really wanted to try their Lemon Crumb Bars but the girl ahead of me grabbed the last one. Just an excuse to come back for more sandwiches hahhaha. Opted for a Pecan Pie Bar instead; a bit more elevated than a regular pecan bar, crispy pecan added just the right amount of texture. Loved the caramel flavor but slightly too sweet for my liking.

Now I'm hooked! I tried their turkey sandwich with avocado and it was yummy. The bread was amazing I can't imagine when it's fresh! This is a loaded sandwich. I only finished half and the second half for later. The packaging is also so adorable! I definitely wanna come back to try their other sandwiches fresh! They're also known for their egg sandos??! I must try it all!

Chicana I wanna... eat more lol…read more My gf is vegetarian and they have all vegan foods which makes my life so much easier bc I am an omnivore so it's a good plant-based alternative for me. My favorite is the mexigogi taco bc the sauce and the way they cook their "meat" didn't make me feel like I knew I was eating vegan food. They have burritos, burgers, fries, nachos, and tacos with some dessert options. I'm glad there's a Mexican food place for vegetarians bc I feel bad they my gf has limited choices at most Mexican restaurants that don't have a good protein base. Service was quick for pick up and there's a few tables inside to eat. 10/10 would recommend.

One girl here was awesome- so nice and sweet and worked hard to keep the restaurant clean. And was sooo attentive when we had questions or needed anything. The girl taking our order was okay..not helpful as it was our first time here. I got the mexgogi burrito. I Was really excited to try a vegan Korean fusion burrito....buuuut... Was really disappointed...lacked flavor. I didn't even taste a lot of the ingredients and it was a tad dry. The green salsa they serve on the side helped give it some flavor. The bulgogi was tasty but since the pieces were so small, the bland rice and beans took over. Total bummer. I did taste the jalapeño but not a ton of siracha eel sauce or cucumbers. (I forgot cucumbers were even in it...) Seats aren't all that comfy...soo prolly best to get it to go. If give it another shot...just order something else.

It's a small, quaint, unassuming place, but their kitchen cranks out rich flavors. We all got different things so we could try out what they have to offer. I was the only one brave enough to try the (bulgogi) mazemen, and it did not disappoint. I followed the instructions on the table & I liked it w/ the vinegar! Another person at our table got the donkatsu w/ rice; it was gobbled up pretty quick so I imagine it was delicious. The other 2 were in the mood for tonkatsu ramen - 1 got spicy, the other, plain. It looked like there was a lot of green onions for my taste, but they didn't complain. Another hit was the karagge chicken and gyoza - both came w/ tasty sauces! Highly recommend stopping by the next time you're in the area.

I'm not a fan of pork, so I love that they have beef options for things such as bacon. This is probably the most authentic deep dish pizza that you're gonna find in Los Angeles. They have so many crazy flavors like Carne Asada and Mediterranean and all of them are amazing. However, my favorite is the supreme, which is packed with loads of cheese, sauce, and plenty of meat. It's about $25 for a small pizza with four slices however it is extremely filling. I was initially unsure about the prices, but once I tried the pizza I was convinced that it was worth it. The downside is that this place shares a small lot with 2 other businesses. If you're planning on coming, make sure to account for time to find parking. Also, it takes time to make a deep dish pizza so order at least 25 minutes in advance.
