I Was really excited to try a vegan Korean fusion burrito....buuuut... Was really disappointed...lacked flavor. I didn't even taste a lot of the ingredients and it was a tad dry. The green salsa they serve on the side helped give it some flavor. The bulgogi was tasty but since the pieces were so small, the bland rice and beans took over. Total bummer. Chicana I wanna... eat more lol My gf is vegetarian and they have all vegan foods which makes my life so much easier bc I am an omnivore so it's a good plant-based alternative for me. My favorite is the mexigogi taco bc the sauce and the way they cook their "meat" didn't make me feel like I knew I was eating vegan food. They have burritos, burgers, fries, nachos, and tacos with some dessert options. I'm glad there's a Mexican food place for vegetarians bc I feel bad they my gf has limited choices at most Mexican restaurants that don't have a good protein base. First time coming here, will NOT be my last. Ordered three tacos, 1 al pastor, 1 asada, and 1 carnitas. The Al pastor had the most flavor of the three, but they were all great and served with a hearty portion of meat. Got the potato taquitos as well and they were good too, very simple in execution and so delicious! The California burrito was phenomenal as well! Great portions for all three dishes, they were shared between two people and we left stuffed and practically didn't eat the rest of the day from how filling it was. The employee at the front was sweet and the food came out quickly. Prices were also extremely reasonable, all the vegan spots I had previously gone to tended to be a little more expensive just due to the nature, but this place had great prices for the portion sizes, that alone will have me back. The restaurant itself is small but they had plenty of tables to compensate - didn't feel cramped whatsoever. Holy, I think this was probably the best I've had from here! PARKING: there is street parking in front of the restaurant but it's a high traffic kinda area so we usually don't park there. I like to utilize the lot nearby since it's walking distance (3 minutes tops.) There is a wide selection of food here, from burgers to burritos to tacos -- they have a great selection! I saw they recently added some meatball soup and posole. I will definitely have to return to give that a try. I usually stick to the burgers with an impossible patty and can I just say they are exceptional! Well seasoned and delicious. I usually stick with my cali dreamin burger but that breakfast burger was absolutely delicious. It had a perfectly crisp hash brown :) Service was a bit more reserved today but I'm not complaining here. Absolutely love Cheyenne and the other worker with curly hair (I forgot her name but she has an autism badge of some sort.) They always make my day with their great service! We came at a good time. It was quiet and peaceful. The tables were cleaned and they recently added a self serve station!! Absolutely love that. Parking in DTF is always hit and miss, but you might get lucky and score a spot right out front on Commonwealth, or more likely in the parking lot right behind the restaurant. The inside is a little on the small side, but there are several tables, as well as two bar shaped tables facing the front window, which makes for good people watching. The walls are decorated nicely with a large colorful mural on one wall, and the other with greenery and Veganland spelled out in Hollywood sign letters. Both walls feature their superhero character. They also have a small patio with several tables behind the building. I stopped by to place and wait for a to-go order for my girlfriend. Jocelynn was at the register and was very friendly. When my order was ready, she brought it out to the table where I was sitting and waiting. I brought home an al pastor taco and two jackfruit carnitas tacos ($3.75 each), the kale salad ($7.95), and some extra salsa. Met up with my friends here for a few reasons.... I'm Vegan, we needed somewhere where pets can hangout with us and it was pretty much between where we live. Please note "pet friendly" doesn't mean you can bring pets inside even just to order food....technically that is the law even though some places let you order and leave with food if you bring a pet.... They have a back small courtyard area to eat and you can bring your dogs out that way....I got a breakfast burrito and it was really good and I would highly recommend that as a choice to eat....my friends got tacos, ramen and another got the breakfast burrito as well.... I absolutely love the Calibaerito (cali burrito vegan style). It is so filling and delicious! It's loaded with lots of fries. Next time I will do extra cheese on the burrito. I also ordered the supreme fries. Those were huge with a ton of fries! I did asada for the fries and the Cali burrito. The supreme fries were top notch! So good!! You just have to eat it fast before the fries get soggy lol I also tried an Al pastor taco. It was okay. I don't think I like the Al pastor meat. I'd order a taco again, but do the asada meat for protein. My husband had the mushroom burger and animal style French fry. He loved both. The animal style French fry was a huge hit for him. I've been coming to this place for years and it is so delicious. I usually get nachos, unless I'm not starving and then I get a couple tacos. I bring my non-vegan/vegetarian friends here and they love it too. The food quality is high and the portions are big. They are a tiny bit pricey (I'm sure their rent is insane here), but it's worth it to support a small business. Very disappointed with this experience. While the food initially tasted great, I was shocked to find a hair in my burger after eating more than half of it. Finding hair in food is completely unacceptable and immediately made me feel sick to my stomach. I had no choice but to throw the rest of the meal away. It's frustrating because I was enjoying the food, but this raised serious concerns about cleanliness and quality control. It was our first time coming in, and I'm not sure if it was an off day given how highly rated the spot is, but the food we had wasn't great. When we received them, the cashew cheese sauce and beans were both ice cold on the chips, which was really unpleasant. The sauce also didn't taste like anything other than nutritional yeast. The jackfruit carnitas were also lacking in flavor. Nachos are one of my husband and I's favorite foods, and we've never met vegan nachos we didn't like, but these were unfortunately not good. We phoned in a pickup order and the food was ready in 5-10 minutes. First, the chili cheese dog ($8.75). I believe this is limited edition, and it's not even listed on the menu on the TV display. It was fantastic. It's exactly what you'd expect from a chili cheese dog. Chili, vegan cheddar cheese, and chopped red onions messily poured onto an impossible hot dog with a brioche bun. It was so good. I dislike the majority of vegan hot dog brands such as Field Roast, but Impossible always gets you right. And it was only $8.75! Next, the Biscoff Cupcake. I was WOWED. Finally had a chance to try there breakfast & Besito Coffee. It was absolutely AMAZING! I tried the sausage biscuit and it was delicious. The biscuit was homemade and baked perfect. My husband devoured the breakfast hamburger because it was so good I didn't even get a chance to try it. My kids enjoyed the gluten free pancakes as well.
