I completely understand wanting to revamp things and try something new, but I really hope they don't lose the roots that made this place special. For me, the tacos and drinks were a huge part of why we kept coming back year after year. Those were the things that made it feel familiar and worth returning to. I truly hope they find a way to bring some of those favorites back, because after so many years of coming here, I don't think I'll be coming back again if the things that made this place special are gone. I kindly asked if I could switch my order to the combo and even offered to pay the difference, which was less than $1, so I could get the drink. He just said no. I asked again, he said no. I understand I had already placed my order, but it would have been pretty simple to refund it and recharge me for the combo. It felt like he just didn't want to take the extra step. That's where Shootz missed the mark for me. The food was good not great, but when you're already charging a premium for relatively very small portions of Hawaiian food, good customer service makes a difference.
