    Gnocchi Cacio E Pepe

Pleasantly surprising restaurant! Came here for a work dinner and they easily accommodated our group. They provide bread and breadsticks which were fresh and nice. Breadsticks were thin and crispy. Service was good despite being busy with a holiday party and very attentive. The drinks were good too, especially the spritzes! The spritz was very refreshing. I enjoyed the pizza and gnocchi as well. It was honestly better than regular cacio Pepe pasta. I would definitely come back here again!

The pizza is very mediocre. Super floppy pizza. I wouldn't get again. I feel like I have had frozen pizzas that have been better than their margarita pizza the flavors were fine. Nothing to write home about their drinks however, are spot on. They have a great wine selection. Their espresso martini is amazing. Laze was our bartender and he makes amazing cocktails. Moving forward I think I will come here just for drinks and not food.

Visited here for brunch on a rainy Sunday with a large group. The interior is gorgeous and it's a surprisingly large space! During our time our service was very slow with a few confusions over our order. I asked if they had cold brew or just iced coffee, and was told then they had both. When we tried to order cold brew once everyone got there, I was told they didn't have cold brew which was odd. We ordered two sides of fries and asked for one truffle and one regular, both served were regular with no truffle. Both the Caesar and the La Voglia salads were very bland. Their dressings just didn't have any flavor. They forgot to make one of our salads so while everyone had their food, someone had to wait for a bit without theirs. We did love the bacon, side of berries, and the pasta! If you visit here, I would only recommend ordering the pizza or pasta.

We went back to La Voglia for Mother's Day dinner and while the ambiance, service and food is still great, I have noticed the portion sizes have dramatically decreased since they've been opened in 2023. The portion sizes have gotten smaller and smaller. This is sad to see. For Mother's day they had a special pre-fixe $75 3 course menu and a smaller subset of the main menu. It was not the full regular menu as regularly offered but a smaller selection. I asked the server and they said as they have so many reservations the kitchen would not be able to accommodate the wide variety as they normally would on a regular day. If I would have known about the smaller regular menu, this would have been a no-go for me. For example, they normally offer 8 different types of pizzas, however on Mother's Day they only offered 4 different kinds. I looked at my older pictures and the portion sizes are definitely smaller, for example the fried calamari is much smaller, same as the tagliatella ragu di bologna and the octopus as well! All so much smaller. While this review is not against the service or the flavor of the dishes, this is mainly to contest the menu and how much smaller the portions have gotten. Disappointing to experience.

I recently saw a movie about a Sicilian Chef who was very passionate about cooking, cooking & LOVE. With that said, please make your way over to La Voglia. REAL AUTHENTIC DELICIOUS ITALIAN FOOD, restaurant, with OUTSTANDING, STELLAR customer service and loving care towards customers.

Felt transported to Europe sitting outside on their patio on a beautiful summer day! Plenty of seating to walk in on a weekday night. Service was kind and attentive, complimentary focaccia and butter was delicious. The barbabietole salad was one of the best salads I've ever had - mix of beets, arugula, cheese, etc. divine! The squid ink pasta was cooked al dente and was delicious, but would probably opt for something else next time. ~$45pp.

So this a fav spot of mine. Atmosphere, and food is excellent. I highly recommend the "Smoking Old Fashion" drink - Happy hour till 7 pm !! I love this place!! Socco & Lenny are exceptional men. A must! The after dinner Lemon Drop complimentary drink was unexpected. But gratefully appreciated.

La Voglia is an unbelievable Upper East side gem that has me coming back again and again! Dinner here is a full experience - including fantastic food, a beautiful and spacious dining area, and the best service imaginable. The recommendations here were on point and you absolutely cannot skip the chef pizza, the pappardelle, or the unique and incredible Pollo Wellington! I was also blown away by the cocktails, especially the Oaxacan Glow and the Penicillin No.1645. This place makes for a great date night or a spacious spot to bring your whole family. I cannot recommend La Voglia enough!

We recently visited for a woek-sponsored dinner and had the best time. We had a private room set up with our own waitress who was attentive to our needs and requests. Food was amazing from start to finish. The tomato bread with truffle butter was so unique! I got the branzino and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The presentation of all the food was beautiful and we had a great time. 10/10 would come again with friends!

Elegant Italian restaurant with a huge capacity of outdoor and indoor sesting. Came here for a summer brunch and the walls are opened up, which creates a very nice resort feel to the place. I like my coffee strong and was pleasantly surprised that their iced coffee still retained good coffee flavor. All of our food came out perfectly cooked and tasty. Servers were friendly, checked on us often, and made sure our table was clean at all times. Bathroom was extremely clean and came with sturdy high end napkins. Would love to come back for dinner to try their pastas and other more classic Italian entrees.

What an elegant, charming atmosphere. This place found me, as I was looking for somewhere to dine on a Friday early evening with my daughter after her classes at Columbia. We sat outside and took in the scenery of the Upper East Side. The vibes were amazing. The service was great, and the food SPECTACULAR! I still remember the taste of everything I ordered, including the cocktail!

Even if we wouldn't have gotten a window table and it wasn't Christmas, the vibes and interior of this place would have still been great. We went in December night of 2024 so some aspects of the menu have changed however, most of the dishes still appear to be on their menu as of now, June 2026. It appears most changes comes to the type of pasta used in a dish, aspects around a dishes main focus and gelato/dessert flavors. Everything we ordered was an 8 or above out of 10. The beet salad (BARBABIETOLE) is easily 10/10 and a top 3 salad we have ever had. The chocolate cake with gelato (TORTINO DI CIOCCOLATO) was 10/10 and the best dessert we had at Da Andrea. We ordered 3 total, including the ricotta cheesecake and tiramisu. Tuna Tartare, gorgonzola pasta and bolognese are 9's. The fritto misto, the other pasta we ordered and the other 2 desserts are 8's. If you're in New York make reservations and go. My Wife found this place and made reservations. Only thing I regret after looking at additional photos is not ordering the grilled pork chop.

Baba Al Rum was also tasty, as was the Orecchiette. Rigatoni was salty, but well-flavored. I visited a popular Italian restaurant from the Union Square Hospitality group with a group of five others. The restaurant is quite large, and although it was somewhat noisy, the tables were spaced apart enough that it was easy to hear everyone. We had an early dinner at 5:45 PM, which took quite a while, but I didn't mind. To drink, I went with the Bitter Giuseppe for $19, with Cynar 45.3, Punt e Mes, lemon, and sea salt. I'm a fan of most Negronis, and this was a particularly bitter version. The bit of lemon and sea salt added a unique but enjoyable flavor at the end, though in retrospect, the salt probably wasn't super necessary. Two of us split, and eventually, a few of us ordered their signature appetizer, the $18 Cast Iron Focaccia, with tomato conserva, a mixture of crushed tomatoes, olive oil, and Calabrian chili. The bread was fresh and warm, albeit a tad oily and salty, but it paired wonderfully with the conserva. As someone who doesn't like it when bread is extra, this was delicious and worth it. Another person ordered the $18 Insalata Verde. It was very large, but fairly basic, with a vinaigrette that had a citrusy and mustardy flavor. There was also the Caramelized Onion Torta for $27, which was very large, as expected for the price point. It had a creamy and tangy flavor from the Pecorino Toscano with some sweetness from the onion. It was delicious, but very heavy, and I would recommend that around three or four people split it alongside the focaccia. Finally, there was also the $15 Pizza Bianca, which was easily the smallest of all the plates, but they still enjoyed it. My main dish was the Orecchiette for $26, with ramps, pistachio, and pecorino. Like most of their dishes, the portion size was quite large, with plenty of pasta, which was perfectly cooked. The ramps added a touch of sweetness, although I would have liked a few more nuts. Additionally, there was almost too much pecorino, which made the dish slightly salty, but it was still enjoyable. As a side, I got the $19 Grilled Asparagus with dates, vermouth, and blue cheese, which came with many pieces of lightly charred asparagus. While there was plenty of funky blue cheese, I would have preferred more dates. Two of the others got the Rigatoni Alla Gricia for $30. The portion was large, and I tried a bit while they tried mine. The noodles were again cooked perfectly, and while there was a lot of guanciale, this was easily the saltiest of all the dishes. For dessert, I chose their Baba AU Rum for $18, which was uniquely mixed with chocolate and orange. The presentation was a bit off, as it looked like a certain emoji, but the flavor made up for it. The subtle hint of rum paired with the bitter-sweet chocolate and orange. The dark chocolate-covered orange slice on top was a nice touch as well. Someone else got a tart, and one other person got the Gelati, which resulted in one of the only faults during service. She heard it was two scoops, and ordered espresso stracciatella and hazelnut, but was given two separate orders for $12 each. The gelato was good, but unlike most things, definitely not worth it for the price. I liked the appetizers much more, but I found the food good overall. Tasty dessert, and the portions make up at least a bit for the relatively higher prices.

We started with the housemade focaccia and Wagyu carpaccio--both were outstanding, with the perfect balance of crispy, flavorful, and fresh elements. We finished with the famous olive oil cake, which we loved for its subtly sweet, moist and tender bite. Served with lightly whipped cream and raisins, the combination was surprisingly delicious. We were also touched by the complimentary anniversary scoop of ice cream. The interior seating is a bit snug, but the decor is beautiful--elegant yet homey. The service was good as well. Overall, we highly recommend L'Artusi for a special night out!

L'Artusi has been on my radar for a while, ever since I heard it was a hot spot and saw reviews of…read moreit being one of the best Italian restaurants in NYC. Being Italian American, I'm hypercritical of spots like these - but nevertheless the positive reviews were overwhelming so I wanted to check it out for myself. One of my friends and I were looking to catch up, so I booked a table and off we went. While it can be tricky to get a reservation during prime dinner time, it's relatively easy to get a lunch reservation - or an early/late dinner. I managed to get a reservation for dinner at 9:15pm which was the earliest I could find. The restaurant is pretty unassuming on the outside - it looks like a converted brownstone and once inside we were greeted by a large space with a sceney vibe. The space is split between two levels with a large bar up front and a semi-open kitchen in the back. The decor was modern - with lots of greys and neutral tones which was a little unexpected. The main star of the menu is pasta, but they also have a few non-pasta mains as well as some crudo selections, apps, and sides. We decided to get a few apps, two pastas, and one side. To start, we went with the octopus, roasted mushrooms, burrata crostone, and focaccia. These were all really good, but my favorite was the mushrooms. I'm usually not a fan of mushrooms but these were prepared with red pepper and fried egg and were delicious; it cut through the earthiness and changed the texture to something I really enjoyed. The focaccia was also a standout - it's house made and was paired with a peppery oil that complemented the bread well. For mains we split two pastas - the caccio e pepe and the rigatoni. Both of these were very good, though I felt the rigatoni was the stronger dish. It was prepared with sausage ragu, soppressata, broccoli rabe pesto, and pecorino. The flavors worked really well together and the pasta was cooked al dente. The caccio e pepe was perfectly fine, I just feel it's been overplayed and didn't feel there was anything that stood out amongst the others I've tried. We also got a broccoli rabe as a side which was great. We couldn't leave without dessert and decided to get their olive oil cake and quattro formaggio cheesecake. The restaurant is known for the former - it was perfectly fine but I've had olive oil cakes elsewhere of the same or better quality. The cheesecake was the stronger dessert IMO - the combination of cheeses gave it an interesting, almost savory flavor. The brûlée top and mascerated strawberries were great texture and flavor complements. Service was great - the place was packed but service was consistently on point and everyone was friendly. Overall, I had a good experience at L'Artusi. While everything was very good, I'm struggling to find the exact reason why this place became such a hot spot compared to other Italian spots in the city. Nevertheless, you'll have a good meal here and I would definitely return if given the opportunity.

The first thing I noticed was there were 7 people in my party and 4 arrived early and did not have to wait for my arrival to be seated. Second the waiter who took our order was polite and on point with specials and knowledge of the menu. He (just never caught his name) suggested the Rigatoni which chicken and sausage. I am not really a pasta eater but baby that dish could change that; it was DELICIOUS. I even liked the anchovy dressing on my Caesar Salad and I dislike anchovies.
