    Breakfast Burrito

This spot only sits 24 people maximum so hopefully you can plan your visit during the "off" hours. I stopped in at 11am on a Thursday and had the place to myself. Their chips and salsa is complimentary and is wonderful! The chips are the thin restaurant style, and their salsa is on the runny side with some sweet heat action going on. 1 Barria Taco, a breakfast burrito, and a small Horchata came in at $21. As you can see on the menu I posted that allot of prices are "missing" off of it. For the size of the Barria Taco and comparing it to the cost of it, I'll pass on it next time. Very little filling in the taco, but the flavor was right where it should be for Barria. As far at the service goes, I hardly seen anyone at all after the chips and salsa were brought out. They disappeared into the kitchen and didn't return for quite awhile. I placed an order at 1108am and the breakfast burrito (bacon, chorizo, and link sausage) was finally brought out to me at 1144. The horchata had a powdery taste to it as if it was just water and powder being stirred/recirculated via machine. For horchata lovers, I would recommend a pass on this. Based on the time to get food, with me being the only customer in the restaurant, and the value I would not be back as a patron here.

Visited Ferris, TX to attend mass and found this little place to get breakfast. The Bistek with eggs were cooked perfectly. The chorizo con huevos were the perfect flavor. The seasoned potatoes stood out, because of their crispiness on the outside and softness on the inside. The perfect potatoes. The breakfast plates remind me of the Mexican breakfasts in South Texas. Let's not forget the homemade tortillas!! Perfect Sunday morning breakfast.

Their food is as good as it comes and in-fact one of the best Mexican food we have had! You pick up any dish. We have many favorites, but these two are our all time n all season favorites! Meats , fish, vegges, she has it all, delightfully scrumptious! And it tastes 100% home cooked, fresh made from scratch, which may take a little extra time to prepare our food. Also her dips for the chips are the tastiest! Service is above and beyond! I also love their traditional Mexican decor n the ambiance is perfect n cozy! For us the distance doesn't matter, because trust me it's every second worth the drive! Try the place, you won't be disappointed!!

Decided to come to tjj hi is little place in Ferris, place is small but they offer a variety of hood options from Birria, street tacos, breakfast, tortas and other good options. I ordered the quesotacos de Birria and a Mexican coke, although the Birria was good and the portion of meat was big I spent around $13 for my two tacos and coke. Seems high but like I mentioned if I would if had two more tortillas I could if made two more tacos portion of meat in taco was nice. Coke check them out located on downtown Ferris, TX.

The food was absolutely amazing and seasoned well. Customer service was A1 and fast. The restaurant was clean and had great atmospheric feel 10/10

This is the check out counter and the menu.

This restaurant is a hidden gem! Anytime you go in the service is fantastic and the tacos are the best around! I would suggest the Bierria tacos and the Bierria quesadilla as well as the street tacos. You will not be disappointed!!

First time trying this place and it was okay to say the least. Waited about 40 mins for our food and it wasn't very busy at all, maybe 4 other people besides me and my son. We ordered the quesadilla plate and the kids enchilada plate. The food was decent. The horchata was below average. Probably won't visit again.

Very good Mexican cuisine, enjoyed myself and co-worker couldn't get enough: it's a bit small in space but the food makes up for it.

Ended up stopping by for BREAKFAST! (Breakfast is served from 7am-10:30am.) Nothing overly fancy or reinvented, just a solid classic breakfast done fresh and to the point. It's a small BBQ spot (though there's plenty of seating inside) with that local feel. The griddle sits right behind the deli line so you can watch everything being made fresh, pancakes, sausage, potatoes, and eggs being made to your favorite doneness on the skillet beside it. We ordered Brad Breakfast and Breakfast Special with a side of gravy. Everything came out hot, fresh, and fulfilling. Tall stack of pancakes were so fluffy and warm. The staff was friendly and welcoming, even during the morning rush. One thing to know beforehand: they do get busy, and the line moves quickly, so they definitely expect you to know your order once it's your turn at the counter. Simple breakfast done right.

Listen... if you want fresh, made-to-order breakfast that tastes like home (and not that "fancy brunch with overpriced avocado toast" nonsense ), you need to slide through Hickory House where the griddle's hot, the vibe is real, and the locals have been loyal since the big hair and boom box days of the '80s. Now, let's give flowers to the MVP Mike, the owner and head cook. His customer service? TOP. TIER. He's got jokes, good energy, and a memory that could put AI to shame. This man will remember your order before you even sit down. It's giving small-town celebrity chef energy. Now let's talk FOOD because, baby... it's not just breakfast .. it's an experience. I had The Brad Breakfast: ham, bacon, sausage, cheesy scrambled eggs, home fries with onions, and buttery toast that just melts in your mouth. My son went with the Short Stack: two fluffy pancakes with bacon that disappeared faster than a TikTok trend. Everything is cooked right in front of you on the grill ! No heat lamps, no reheats, no games. Just hot, fresh, greasy goodness the way breakfast should be. And can we talk about the prices?!! Lancaster, keep your gem close because Hickory House is serving five-star flavor on a neighborhood budget. I washed it all down with an Arnold Palmer (because balance, darling ) and left full, happy, and plotting my next visit. So if you're in Lancaster, TX, don't walk -- RUN to Hickory House. Breakfast, community, and vibes? This place understood the assignment before it was even trending. Hickory House ....where nostalgia, flavor, and sass all meet at the grill. #BreakfastGoals #HickoryHouseTX #LancasterEats #SupportLocal #SouthernBites #MadeToOrderMagic #YelpEliteEats #BrunchWithoutTheBougie #FoodieApproved #TexasBreakfastLove

We were ready for some awesome BBQ. I ordered the 2-meat plate (brisket and ribs) with two sides for $18.99. When the tray arrived, I was surprised to see only three small slices of brisket and two ribs. The brisket was dry, with little flavor. The ribs were unlike any I've had before--tough, full of cartilage, and difficult to eat. The sides were the highlight: the fried okra was cooked to perfection, and the green beans were well-seasoned. Unfortunately, they didn't have cobbler. Our waitress explained, "We only have it when the owner's daughter-in-law makes it." Honestly, that should be a special, not something printed on the menu. We came in with high expectations but left disappointed--so much so that I didn't even bother taking pictures of the food. Next time, I'll just stop in Corsicana and eat at Bubba's. Sorry I deleted all pictures except the two of The Duke. I wasn't going to review but I changed my mind. Even though I have no pictures, trust me!
