Come first thing in the morning when they open or usually expect to wait with a room full of people. There are a good amount of chairs on the perimeter of the waiting room, but they do fill quickly. The entrance is tucked around the corner against the wall. When you walk in, go straight to the kiosk to check-in with your photo ID and insurance card. I've seen elders struggle with the technology and the front desk will still send them back to the kiosk. If they push enough, MAYBE they'll manually check them in or assist with the kiosk. Once in the back, I've never come across a mean or unprofessional phlebotomist. I'm a hard stick and all have been great, sometimes even switching to a butterfly needle when I have a lot of samples to accrue. It's my go-to place, especially because it's near my home. As long as you know the entrance and to use the kiosk, all will flow fine. Have your order paperwork ready always! That's every location, but I've had incidents where my doctor's office said they sent it in and LabCorp wasn't able to see it on their side so better safe than sorry. read more

I had a very good experience at this Labcorp location. I came in without an appointment and was pleasantly surprised that I was seen after only about a 15-minute wait. I had extensive blood work done, and Edwin was excellent. My veins are very small and difficult to find, but he was able to locate a vein quickly and perform the blood draw professionally and with minimal discomfort. He was patient, skilled, and made the whole process much easier than I expected. The only area that could use some improvement is the front desk. English is not my first language and I do have an accent, although I speak English well. During our interaction, I felt like the receptionist seemed confused by my accent, which made the conversation a little uncomfortable. A bit more patience and customer service would make the experience even better. I have never reviewed place services or anything before. I am deeply upset because I would never treat someone this way. I had an absolutely horrible experience at this LabCorp today. The office was completely empty, yet the customer service was shockingly rude and unprofessional from the moment I walked in. I politely greeted the staff, but the phlebotomist at the front desk - barely acknowledged me. spoke in a rude and commanding tone, and treated me like an inconvenience. Then came the worst part the actual blood draw. She aggressively dug around in my vein, moving the needle back and forth in multiple directions while I was in severe pain, and still could not get the blood sample. She then switched to my other hand and did the exact same thing again. No apology, no concern, no professionalism whatsoever - she just kept rushing and acting annoyed. This employee should absolutely not be working in healthcare or dealing with patients. She appeared unkempt, unprofessional, careless, and completely lacking basic compassion or bedside manner. Arrives at 2:45pm straight from the drs office to the lab unaware their closing time was at 3pm. Walked to front desk at 2:52pm letting them I had just checked in. The only acknowledgment I got not even looking at me when addressing me was "next time come in before 2:52pm because we close at 3pm". I have been coming here for six years. I used to rant and rave about this place, but sadly, no longer. The quality of the phlebotomists has gone downhill. I get my blood taken many times a year, so a good phlebotomist is of the utmost importance to my vein health. The last THREE times (within six months) that I've been here, the phlebotomist has blown out my vein. Currently in pain, again, after a blood draw here. She claims in case the insurance doesn't cover lmao. Primary insurance gets billed then 2nd insurance covers the rest. Why would I ok you to put a hold for $315 on my card? What could you improve? Let me count the ways.... First of all, this location always seems to have a problem with their computer system and somehow they can't ever access things that doctors sent. They'll tell you to go to another location- why not fix the computers here? Obviously it's a local issue if they tell us to go to other locations. Secondly... the people are absolutely awful. I've never had a problem with the actual blood collection but let's be honest, we spend a lot more time in the front. The layout of this place is terrible, you have no choice but to be up close and personal as soon as you enter and the staff seems to get very upset about that. There's no hello - ever - there's rude lashings to elderly people who might not even SEE their wiggly iPad let alone be comfortable using it.. Third, I see many of the same faces, yet they always seem to be in training. What I mean by that is everything seems to require more than one person to complete. I watch (and hear) them enter whatever they type in together... one stands over the other... one tells the other what to click, remove each test, etc etc; the crass young woman in the front is always (loudly) complaining about the amount of people, the hours, or some other job-related nonsense. I actually had my daughter come here yesterday by herself for the first time - she sent me a message about what a terrible experience she was having. This is my go-to place when I need to draw blood. It's super convenient. It's close to Southern Hills Hospital. They have these easy check in machines. At first, I would always schedule an appointment, you may need to wait a week or so if you do that. Now I just do walk-ins. The staff did inform me that Mondays and Fridays are their busiest days. While I was waiting today, I did hear their staff with someone on the telephone say that they got billed twice. Something to look out for if you're paying with your card. Had an appointment for blood draw this morning at 7:30am. It was even confirmed via email and text 30 minutes before my appointment. I arrived 15 minutes early. Other people were sitting around waiting for them as well. Get this, NO ONE FROM LABCORP WAS THERE!! We were all sitting around Walgreens waiting. Finally a Walgreens employee said we should knock on the door. We did no one from Labcorp came to work today, well at least for the 45 minutes I waited. So their website says that they close at 3PM. When you call them they tell you they close at 3PM. That's kind of early for folks who have jobs but apparently they have some sort of reason for it. That is annoying but what is enraging is when I show up at 2:45 for some blood work I know will take less than 10 minutes and they refuse to do it because they apparently don't take walk-ins after 2:30. What takes us to the one-star rating is the fact that every employee in the office was all sitting in the entry area staring at the clock waiting for quiten' time. I know this because it's a small office and I can see most of the spaces from the front desk. When I pointed out that no one had told me that I couldn't be seen after 2:30 when I'd called, they just repeated to me that they didn't take walk-ins after 2:30 as if i was a slow child. I find this sort of treatment to be pretty common among the office staffs of medical businesses in LV. It's striking because in Seattle where I'm from, the medical staff everywhere you go all present themselves in an extremely professional manner from the doctors right down to the custodial staff. Not so in NV where they often remind you off the DMV from the 1980's. I will admit that I got mad and said, "Well, I see how busy you all are, thanks for wasting my time" and left. Without hesitation, she said, "Cool, let's get you a bed," making sure I was set up comfortably before we even got started. And somehow--miraculously--I made it through without feeling woozy or like I was about to audition for a hospital scene in a medical drama. I've never had a bad experience, which is saying a lot considering I keep having to give them my blood like I signed up for a vampire subscription service. If they could figure out how to do lab work without making me bleed my own blood, that'd be great--but until then, this is hands-down the best place to go. I never waited there more than 20 minutes, together with check in and blood work. Tried the sunset location, was not busy probably coz the team here is so efficient! The gentleman at the front desk checked in everyone very quickly and was so efficient. I generally like labcorp cause you can make appointments and they will always take an appointment over a walk in. That being said, if you don't have an appointment be prepared to wait. Also, always try to bring your lab paperwork from your doctor as a lot of times they do not get the electronic transfer. Always better to be safe than sorry. They will require your credit card upon check in. If your insurance does not cover all of your bill, then they charge the card on file. read more
