Honest injun, I try to find some redeeming value in even the worst of situations, but this one is a real stretch. However, I can avoid issuing the dreaded one-star review because one of three people at this CPL Lab did muster a half-smile. It never gets better at this CPL facility, from the 20-minute wait with no one here to the rude and surly people who work. And finally, to the phlebotomist who jabbed me, causing a pretty sizeable bruise. The staff constantly turns over (I never see the same people twice), and the music is too loud. Who runs this place anyway?

I came to this location to have my blood drawn (my insurance only allows CPL lab draws), and I was seen fairly quickly. I had an appointment for 11:30 but arrived at 11:10 and since no one else was there they were able to get me in earlier. That was great. What wasn't great was the phlebotomist. She maybe said a handful of words to me collectively: my last name to call me back, then I sat down and she said "name, birthday," make a fist, take this off in 15 minutes. Her demeanor was unpleasant overall which I can understand- some people can be jerks when getting their blood drawn. The real issue was how she drew my blood. I have a pretty big healthy vein that is the preferred site of most phlebotomists. You can see it from the surface of my skin but it also pops out and doesn't move even when trying to manually roll it. Not only did she clean the area with an alcohol pad she touched with her bare hand, she was covering the puncture site with gauze while taking the blood. She couldn't see the bevel to know that she was moving it all around in my arm when switching tubes, which hurts. I assume she did that to save time on getting a new gauze to bandage me in since she never changed it after withdrawing the needle. The other part was that she inserted the needle so deep that I'm sure she went through the vein because when she put the tube on the vacutainer, nothing came out. She had to withdraw the needle slowly until the blood came out, which also was very painful. It seems that that's her technique - go too far then pull out. After leaving, I didn't bend my arm at all and waited to take off the bandage because I didn't want to bleed out (I've done this before by bending my arm). Before I took the bandage off, I could see that there was blood that seeped through the gauze. That never happens to me, aside from the one instance where I bent my arm. The gauze she used had more blood that penetrated the several layers of gauze than I've ever seen on any gauze and I get my blood drawn fairly often to know how quickly I clot. And I'm sure it's because she went through my vein. She was an older lady but this doesn't mean that she can use an outdated technique that doesn't follow a licensed phlebotomists standard. I'll likely avoid this location in the future solely so that I don't have to deal with this phlebotomist again. Side note: I have a license in phlebotomy (it is required for my actual career - so I don't practice it often) which is why I was able to see all the things that were not compliant with the current standards. Usually in these situations I give more grace because I know what it's like to draw blood but this was too much. I know the shortcuts people make and I know which ones shouldn't be taken. I'm sharing this review because any person that doesn't have healthcare experience would think this is normal practice when in fact it's not and it should be avoided.

Came in right after my doctors visit. Around 9am, Singed in and a very short few minutes later I was tended to. Had Emilia (I believe is her name?) and she was very gentle and patient with me as I was honestly a bit nervous to get my blood drawn hahaha. I was very pleased with my visit here.

Having said that, I've now gone to this Quest twice and had the best experiences I'm capable of having because my phlebotomist Colton is THE best! I have to ask for a reclining chair to avoid passing out and I'm often judged or belittled by nurses etc., but Colton was so warm both times and took me seriously. He is so gentle and quick that I barely feel the poke and he talked with me to keep my mind off of it. He was also very patient and made sure I was feeling ok before he had me stand up. Most folks don't understand how life-changing it can be to find a good phlebotomist - but now I'm able to do blood work so I can stay healthy and take care of myself. The rest of the staff are fast, efficient, and kind. I highly recommend this location and am eternally grateful to my dude Colton for making important bloodwork doable for me. Thank you!

I found a pretty good selection of times even only booking one day ahead. You get a link via text message and can easily check in online once you arrive. There are also kiosks in the waiting area where you can check yourself in. Bear in mind there are no staff to check in with. Once checked in, you sit in the waiting room and follow your progress on a large screen showing checked in appointments and anyone waiting as a walk in. I was taken right at my booked time. Once in one of the back rooms the staff process your insurance and confirm which tests you need. The staff member was very friendly, and the blood draw was basically painless. Overall I was very happy with my Quest experience!

However, not just because of the piece of mind of knowing my health, rather because of the kindness, compassion, and advice that was given to me in regards to another life event that I was / am experiencing coincidentally at the time of my tests. I almost felt that more time was given to me addressing that which is absurd when you think about how valuable every person's time is who works at this clinic. Preventative Diagnostic Center is great! I cannot say enough about it. If you have any concerns and are looking to get ahead of something or just want a piece of mind then make this place a priority!

My card was charged twice - $165 and then $434 (see redacted invoices) -- so a 30-second scan cost me $599. Staff shrugged it off and offered neither a refund nor a real explanation. The hassles didn't stop there: Redundant forms: Before the appointment I completed a long online questionnaire. When I arrived I was handed the exact same questions on paper and told, "You should have printed out your responses." Who brings a printout to a doctor's office in 2025? Outdated results delivery: Despite touting "state-of-the-art" tech, PDC still snail-mails results ten days later instead of emailing a secure PDF. The whole experience felt like a money grab masquerading as healthcare. If you value your time, transparent pricing, efficient intake, and basic customer service, steer clear of Preventive Diagnostic Center until they overhaul their billing and communication practices. GARBAGE!

They tried to charge her $1,300. That's for squeezing her foot and take an X ray. I work in sales, and this office was no different than where I work. Everyone waiting for their commission, and using phrasing and tonality. "Batabeem bataboom, let's get an x ray and get you on your way, how does that sound?" And then boom, $1300. I asked why $1300, the "closer" at the front desk spoke gibberish. I called it a scam, and she got defensive and slipped her tongue big time. She said "well I don't know what you did in there", so I said "then why don't you find out before charging us???" At that moment the nurse came running and said to the "closer" "no, just one." One picture that is. AND DROPPED THE PRICE TO $345!!! I tried to get out of the closer how many pictures she had tried to charge us for, she rambled her way out of an answer like a used car sales lady, 3 times in a row. She was trained to use words like "deposit" (as if they would ever reimburse it) and co-pay and just a lot of bs. You tell me, if a bill can go from $1300 to $345, was the initial attempt not a scam attempt? They take advantage of the elderly, especially if they're tourists with travel insurance. They will over charge, trying to leave it up to my mom to ever get any of that money back. And on top of it all they call themselves Dignity. On their wall they have a poster urging people not to cuss them out. To not use foul language towards them. I did not, but it's pretty clear they have experienced that a lot. Enough to occupy a wall just for that. What a joke of a sales group.
