If you have culinary insurance, you might as well go to the CPL in the actual culinary building. Only two people are seen at a time & walk ins are welcome here, so even though I was early to my appointment I was forced to wait two plus hours. Had made a same day appointment on line for the Green Valley service center. It was my first time going to this location. Easy parking and access into the facility with great signage out front. I checked myself into the kiosk with my confirmation number and got seated. In a couple minutes, a lady named, Trish called me up to the desk and took my information in an efficient manner. After this, I was promptly called back by Brent. My venipuncture was performed quickly and painlessly! I would definitely visit this location again and highly recommend it to others for lab services. Honest injun, I try to find some redeeming value in even the worst of situations, but this one is a real stretch. However, I can avoid issuing the dreaded one-star review because one of three people at this CPL Lab did muster a half-smile. It never gets better at this CPL facility, from the 20-minute wait with no one here to the rude and surly people who work. And finally, to the phlebotomist who jabbed me, causing a pretty sizeable bruise. The staff constantly turns over (I never see the same people twice), and the music is too loud. I came to this location to have my blood drawn (my insurance only allows CPL lab draws), and I was seen fairly quickly. I had an appointment for 11:30 but arrived at 11:10 and since no one else was there they were able to get me in earlier. That was great. What wasn't great was the phlebotomist. She maybe said a handful of words to me collectively: my last name to call me back, then I sat down and she said "name, birthday," make a fist, take this off in 15 minutes. Her demeanor was unpleasant overall which I can understand- some people can be jerks when getting their blood drawn. The real issue was how she drew my blood. I have a pretty big healthy vein that is the preferred site of most phlebotomists. You can see it from the surface of my skin but it also pops out and doesn't move even when trying to manually roll it. Not only did she clean the area with an alcohol pad she touched with her bare hand, she was covering the puncture site with gauze while taking the blood. She couldn't see the bevel to know that she was moving it all around in my arm when switching tubes, which hurts. I assume she did that to save time on getting a new gauze to bandage me in since she never changed it after withdrawing the needle. The other part was that she inserted the needle so deep that I'm sure she went through the vein because when she put the tube on the vacutainer, nothing came out. She had to withdraw the needle slowly until the blood came out, which also was very painful. It seems that that's her technique - go too far then pull out. After leaving, I didn't bend my arm at all and waited to take off the bandage because I didn't want to bleed out (I've done this before by bending my arm). Before I took the bandage off, I could see that there was blood that seeped through the gauze. That never happens to me, aside from the one instance where I bent my arm. The gauze she used had more blood that penetrated the several layers of gauze than I've ever seen on any gauze and I get my blood drawn fairly often to know how quickly I clot. And I'm sure it's because she went through my vein. She was an older lady but this doesn't mean that she can use an outdated technique that doesn't follow a licensed phlebotomists standard. I'll likely avoid this location in the future solely so that I don't have to deal with this phlebotomist again. Side note: I have a license in phlebotomy (it is required for my actual career - so I don't practice it often) which is why I was able to see all the things that were not compliant with the current standards. Usually in these situations I give more grace because I know what it's like to draw blood but this was too much. I know the shortcuts people make and I know which ones shouldn't be taken. I'm sharing this review because any person that doesn't have healthcare experience would think this is normal practice when in fact it's not and it should be avoided. read more

Every time I go cpl the service is at the worst. Waiting too long even when you have an appointment, taking in walk-ins before people who have appointments.. I waited here 40 mins with an appointment today, losing blood samples and being asked to re-draw, poking you 3 times saying "the vein rolled on me". If i can give them i zero stars i will. 10/13/21- Had a very bad experience starting from the fat receptionist, being aggressive towards their patients. 2nd, after giving halfway full UA sample; the lab and the fat receptionist, told us that they wont take it, and needs a full cup of Urine sample. Since i work in the medical field, i start using medical terms and the fat receptionist starts fo calm down (coz i know something). And ask if they can just atleast run the UA and will come back for the rest of the Urine sample. 10/14/21 - i had the Urine sample and i have to sign in again without me knowing, i waited in the lobby for like 20 mins after signing in, and the fat receptionist decided to go to lunch after seeing me. Lol. 10mins after, the lab tech called my name and told me we don't have anything ordered and she sent ALL the urine sample that i is NEEDED and i provided the day before. And no need for the Urine sample that i brought in. WTH. Right? Lol. Anyway; go take your business somewhere else. This place is garbage. read more

I went to this facility on Thursday, February 9. My appointment was at 10:15 to have blood drawn. The woman brought me in to take my blood. I told her I have very small veins & there is always a problem taking my blood. She found a vein & put the needle in & it hurt a lot! Drawing blood should not hurt. I told her it hurt & she said, I'm in your vein ma'am & then pulled the needle out with an attitude & told the other girl to take my blood. I also heard her say something about not using a child needle. The other girl came, found a vein & took my blood with no pain & very professional. I have never experienced such rudeness & unprofessionalism with the first girl, named Michele. I have cancer so I am constantly having my blood drawn & have never experienced such rudeness. I will never be back to this office again unless Michele is removed. She gives your office a bad reputation. read more

Find another location that's open.! Went for blood work and a urine test, after signing in and being called for the paper work, the front desk girl gave me a cup for a urine test. Went to the restroom, filled the cup literally to the top. Left it in the metal locker/pass through for them to collect the sample. I was the only person in the building needing work done. Got a technician that couldn't take my blood after poking me multiple times. After she called another person to help, finally he got the blood that was needed. I was completely cool about it to boot! Just went to my doctor for the results, and she was told by one of those technicians who wrote a note in pen, that I did not leave a urine sample. That was literally the first thing I did when I got there! The most important part of it! Someone there clearly forgot to collect or just incompetently overlooked the sample that I left, now I have to take more time off of work to go back to another location and do this again. read more

I don't normally bruise. This is what my arm looked like the next day . I'm not a fan of needles and have to look away but normally I don't feel it except the initial pinch. I felt as if the person drawing my blood was digging into my vein a little. read more

I visited on 6/16 at 2:30pm. I'm happy with the short wait time. But the employees were not courteous, especially the Caucasian brunette woman at the front desk. A visitor was at the front desk when I arrived, and I stood there several minutes, not realizing all I had to do was check in on the computer next to them. The front desk employee could have said something instead of letting me stand there. And she laughed when I told her my lab sheet and ID didn't have my current address. I asked for a copy of the lab sheet for my records and she said, "we don't usually do that." That's not what I asked but whatever. How unprofessional. The blood draw was a little sloppy. There was more blood on the cotton ball taped to my arm than what I usually see, and there was a bruise. Clinical Pathology Labs doesn't seem to care about health and safety. Masks aren't required for guests. They don't check temperatures. And there are magazines, pens, and surfaces that get touched several times without being sanitized. read more

Pretty quick considering I didn't have an appointment. Went in at 8a left 8:35a. Painless and the assistant was very nice in the back. Front staff was nice at checkin and was able to get me a quote quickly since i had to pay out of pocket. The one thing I i didnt like was the fact that they speak very loudly for everyone in the room to hear. They ask you personal questions like who your doctor is. There were two people at the check in and the window is no larger than 4 feet. You can hear everything between patients and while your sitting. read more

Took my mother here on a Wednesday morning. It is crowded in here and they request that you sit down so they can monitor social distancing. That's fair- but only if the seats weren't placed so close to each other. You are also asked to check-in using a public touch screen but no hand sanitizer is offered. My mother's lab work isn't appointment based, so I would recommend going even earlier than 9am if possible to avoid large crowds. read more

This review is for the CPL at 5771 S Fort Apache Rd #110, Las Vegas, NV 89148. DO NOT GO HERE. When this location was run solely by the girl who is now the manager it was better. She was great. But now she just checks you in and doesn't do the actual blood drawing. Shame. No more. They have let blood spoil twice for both my wife & I. We had to go back and have it re-drawn. My last visit, a hispanic girl had the worst attitude and then scratched my arm when taking out the needle. I think she had a bit of racial prejudice. I will not be back. read more

I went there to do my gestational diabetes test, the test is dificult by itself, they draw your blood and then you drink some glucose syrup and then they draw your blood two more times. My veins are very bad and barelly visible, but the guy who did my blood was very confident and new what is he doing. He poke me three times with no problems, i barelly felt the needle. It was best experience that i had recently. So he really deserves 5 stars, i forget his name but it was younger white guy. Thank you again read more

Came here to get some blood work done on my son. Staff was friendly. We waited for more than hour to be seen but that was expected because there was about 15 people ahead of us. We went around 10am so I guess that was a busy time. My son cried through the whole process but the phlebotomists did a great job on getting what was needed in one try. The only reason why I am giving this place a 2 stars instead of one is because it was clean, in a decent area, the registration ladies were nice and we didn't have to wait long- maybe 15 minutes with 2 people in front of us. So, My shy, sweet 12 year old daughter had to get blood work done for the first time because she's sick. She is deathly afraid of needles. The young guy, didn't get his name, who was going to draw her blood said to me daughter( exact words) 'If you don't calm down I will get mean'. WTF??? My daughter was holding her arm and saying no- about to cry too, that was literally it. If - a very strong if- I ever go back to this exact place I will raise hell if I see that man again. You never ever talk to people like that especially young scared children. You should be lucky I didn't maim you on the spot. I guess I was in shock. By the way he was somewhere around 6', medium blondish hair and glasses. He was telling me about other people that have a hard time getting their blood drawn. You don't do that. came a few weeks ago for blood work and a certain test but then they didn't have the kit to do it so they said come back another time. I come back but it was around 3:40 and they said they need at least 15-20 mins to do the test and they close at 4:00 which is still enough time but i'm like okay i'll come back again. i come again the next week and i'm half an hour early and they still send me home telling me it'll take like 40 minutes to do this time. i also work at a clinic and left as early as possible so i could get there with enough time to do the test like they said i should. it's just frustrating because my symptoms for the test i need aren't even as prevalent anymore but i would have at least liked to have known the results rather than let my symptoms pass since my doctor was concerned about my health issue but this deters me from ever wanting to get blood work or specimens done here anymore. pretty unprofessional and that's from a fellow healthcare worker. read more

Unfortunately with the covid its understandable that it makes all hard at the moment as far as other branches needing to shutdown with that being said i have a confirmed appointment and no one from customer service bothered to call to let me know this location is temporarily closed which by the way the second time happened to me and im 7 months pregnant and had to go fasting for 10 hours the night before thank god the other location on south fort apache was able to take me in so just remember to always call the day before to confirm if theyre open for whichever location u choose and call that specific branch to make sure u talk to someone because the website , the customer service number , and all other social media, and the cpl appointment website link are not updated at times . read more

Staff will insert needle into your arms 5 times and then blame you for not finding the right spot. 3. The manager is a coward and doesn't help you, they blame everything on you as well. 4.
