I stumbled into Labella on a Friday without an appointment because I was going to be a maid of honor on a Sunday wedding and my nails looked horrific. I don't usually get manis and pedis regularly but on special occasions, I like to make the splurge. :) Located in a small plaza in Old Town Tustin, Labella is clean and spacious. I usually go to the Purple Yoga in the same plaza so I was pleasantly surprised when I pulled into the parking lot. Although they had about 5-6 customers already at 9am on a Friday, they took me in with about a 15 minute wait. Usually I go for the usual french or plain color but I was in the mood for something unique and while I was waiting, I pulled up a photo I saw on pinterest of a glitter ombre nail (see photo below). Again, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it would cost me $35 for a gel mani and that they could accommodate my design request. Hooray! My nail lady was efficient and fast. Although she wasn't too keen on making conversation and didn't seem interested in why I was getting my nails done, I didn't mind because I don't generally like to make small talk anyway. I had a nice relaxing time staring out the window and it was a beautiful sunny day. I was very pleased with the way my nails turned out and would definitely come here again! I booked my reservation via ClassPass. The service was pretty good and before i leave, i decided to give a tip. But suddenly they demand me to pay all the money. I tried to explain to the staff that classpass bookings are prepaid but they wont even listen and constant yelling and shaming me in front of other employees. I wouldnt mind if they want to detain me to check for the authencity because they were yelling about no money transfer from classpass, but they humiliated me so much. First time here for spa pedi I was seated right away in a nice massage chair as soon as I walked in. I chose the deluxe pedi $27 with the callus remover $5 extra. The total was $32, I used the 10% off $30 yelp check in offer and brought it down to $30. The overall experience was nice, place was clean. The tubs have plastic covers that are removed after each customer so that was reassuring, extra clean. Not many nail colors to choose from and not that many good quality names for nail polish. I would return for sure but need to keep it at a minimum so that it's still affordable. read more

Had my car in the shop down the street and wanted to get my nails done a week ago Friday. Yelpers had given this place decent reviews so I gave it a try. Atmosphere was nice. Color selection was nice. Downhill from there...Manicurist (Gel) hurt me. She knicked the cuticle on my left middle finger pretty badly. The price I was quoted didn't match what was posted (at least I couldn't make the 70 charge add up for gel mani and reg pedi ). But after all of that I wasn't motivated to leave a bad review. (I even left good tips because the manicurists had done the work.) The kicker for me is that after a few days my nail polish is lifting! After less than a week! I've never had that happen. I should have stood up for myself and questioned the prices so shame on me for that but if you are going to charge premium prices make sure you deliver premium product. Will not be going back. I spent $92 on 2 gel manicures and a pedicure. I don't get offered a drink, I didn't get treated as if they cared I was there. The owner lady did my nails and was so unprofessional in the process, she was on her phone and yelling in Vietnamese across the room while doing my nails. The work station had supplies on it that we didn't need and were in the way. She was annoyed that I wasn't aware on how to use the gel nail dryer with the sensor in it. Ummmm IVE NEVER HAD A GEL MANICURE BEFORE!! I told her that. She was uninterested. I took my 14 year old niece and they strategically moved me away from her so they could up sell her on one of their shitty "delux" packets. I have no problem spending money on quality work and customer service but this place is not that! It's dirty, they took advantage of a 14 year old girl the service is horrible. So many cons but a few pros for Labella. I came in for regular pedicure and gel manicure on Sunday. Pros: they were able to see me right away and my gel manicure was fine. Average. A little sloppy, a little too rushed, but fine overall. My pedicure was horrendous. Everything about it. The water was cold when I put my feet in. When she got to my cuticles, she was going so fast that she was basically ripping them off and kept jabbing me with the sharp point. I have a toe with some fungus, but it gets better if it's cut short. So I asked her to cut it. Four times! And it was translated each time. And she didn't until the fourth time. And then went so fast, she cut me. And then proceeded to FILE the cut. THEN, she started on my calluses. And scrubbed so hard, even after I told her (and it was translated) that I was ticklish. And then gave up after just one foot. I didn't even want her to do the other. And finally the polish looks terrible. She painted all over my skin and barely removed any of it after I asked. Oh and I checked in for the 10% off, and they didn't even give me the entire 10%. They rounded it up to the nearest $10! I will never be back. read more

I haven't had a pedicure in a few months, but since I'm pregnant, and can't reach my toes too well now they were starting to look really bad, and in need of some TLC. While the tech did a good job during the pedi, I have a nasty infection on my big toe, that is now pussing. I've done three pedicures here so far and am now ready for an appropriate review: Staff - The ladies that work here are extremely friendly, nice, and not pushy about trying to up-sell their services - which is a huge bonus for me. (I have tried MANY nail salons in the Tustin area which are lacking in good atmosphere professionalism). (3.75 stars) Cleanliness - I felt very safe & clean at each pedi visit so far (Didn't ever feel as though I might leave with some strange bacteria infection). Labella looks and smells brand new & clean. (5 stars) Prices - Reminds me of Happy Nails but a little bit cheaper. I always get the Royal Pedi package that is $32 which includes a 15 min massage, foot scrub, paraffin dip, sea salt, callus remover, and a few other little package extras. The spa chair is comfy and they always have the most recent magazines (bonus). The only thing I am not completely happy with is the massage portion - I've had better and it feels a little "weak".
