I have been going to this store for over 5 years, I have sold a few items before. I love the store, but when it comes to selling avoid it. It takes 2-3 weeks to get someone to call you back on how much they will sell your item and when it does sell it's another few weeks to receive your funds. Every time you call someone else has a different story. This requires immediate improvement. read more

This place is ok but I wish the shoe selection was better. Some of the shoes -though they were beautiful at some point- are completely scuffed and dirty and raggedy. Yuck! Not only did my clothes came back with moth holes, a few days later I developed these spotty rashes on my arms and back of my hand. After a visit to Kaiser, it was diagnosed to be bed bug bites!! I want to start off by saying I have had some luck selling some of my Dooney & Bourke and Coach purses there. Everything I have brought in has sold. However, some of the staff I have encountered there have been less than friendly. Today I brought in two shopping bags of items, most of them Size 10 or Large, of which they seem to have a limited supply of larger items in their store. The store seems to be predominately Size 0 through 6 or 8, but once the size gets bigger than that, their inventory is very sparse. To my surprise, the rude young girl who I dealt with today rejected every item I brought in, some of which had never even been worn. When I asked her if there were particular labels they were more interested in, she said the high end designer labels is really more of what they want, although the majority of the items on the racks in their store are not high end designer labels. I understand not wanting my items, but the cocky "I'm better than you" attitude I felt from the young clerk was less than welcoming. So I left, went across the street to Main St. Rags and they selected several of my items to sell. In my past experiences at Labels, when I've dealt with the more mature sales clerks, they have been friendlier. The younger clerk I dealt with today could definitely take a lesson from the other clerks on customer service and how to make shoppers feel welcome. So based on today's experience with the rude young sales clerk, I rated them 2 stars. Had she been nicer, I would have given them 4 stars. read more

It's like shopping in your friend's closet. A closet where all the purses, shoes and clothing is freshly cleaned, and well maintained. And available for you to purchase at a huge discount in comparison to what you would pay for it new in the stores. And alot of it looks barely worn, like someone had tried it on a few times or worn it for maybe 15 minutes max. And yes like shopping in your BFF's closet, not everything is going to be to your taste, or things you would like. I read the Yelp reviews before going to Labels..... so, I prepared myself for a rude, selfish and unfriendly staff who may possibly accuse me of stealing!!.... but nothing stops me from getting a bargain!!! To my friend's and my surprise, the staff was very friendly and the clothes were great! I got a beautiful MOTH full-length sweater for $28.and a Splendid top for $45, a Michael Star's tee for $10, a pair of Prada shoes fro $98, a brand new pair of BCBG shoes for $10 and many more items. I've been shopping at Labels for the past two years or so. I consider myself to be quite the thrift store maven and this is definitely more of an upscale shop with designer items and higher prices. That said, I have found a few fabulous items there, most recently a pair of nearly new Miss Sixty sandals. After reading these Yelp reviews, I just had to add my 2 cents and say that I have had nothing but good experiences with the sales staff there. They've always been super friendly and helpful (but I haven't consigned anything either - I prefer to donate my clothes to avoid the whole consignment rejection thing). I must say everyone has their bad days and I had mine couple days ago. I have been going to Lables for over 4 years now and the owner is so wonderful to me always has been she is one to address your concern to if you have one. I was upset and wrote a review that I did not mean. They have wonderful Designers items for reasonable prices. With Consignment shopping you have days where you find great bargains and days where you leave empty handed. My last purchase I scored Jimmy Choo shoes for 250, I was very excited. This is the best place to find discounted, high-end, designer clothing. The store has a very boutique feel, because the clothing in it is so high end, really the biggest labels you could possibly think of, they have it, some of it even vintage couture. PUBLIC BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!! This company and the people that are employed there are inconsiderate, manipulating and preying!!!! I consigned a $650 pair of shoes that were virtually never worn to this company. They told me that I was going to be paid $398 for my shoes that were consigned there, so I naturally trusted them and left the shoes with them. A few months passed by and finally my Giuseppe shoes were sold.... I had to call them to find out my shoes were sold.... When I went back into the store to get paid they wanted to give me a $25.00 CHECK!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it!!!!! I was stunned at what kind of viscious people would prey on someone trying to support a local business.... After all they gave me the price.... The saddest part is when I went into the store they told me I had to wait to receive a check. How lame is that.... I couldn't even get a check for what they owed me! Not to mention I didn't even have a leg to stand in after I left my shoes there and they were sold.... The people working there claimed to have sold my $650.00 Giuseppe shoes for $50.00.... I was stunned. I never authorized them to give them away for nothing. I was so offended I never even went back to pick up that insult of a check. My husband and I came in right before closing to look at the fur coats. We were surprised to see such an amazing collection. Chelsea kept the store open late for us and was very helpful. I would NEVER take anything into this store for consignment!! I had a brand new leather and mink reversible jacket I was ready to sell. When I brought it in they acted thrilled to get it because of the condition etc. I was told I would be called about the price before it went on the floor, never called!! When I stopped by they finally found it with a $108 price tag on it! Excuse me, you can get a sweatshirt for $100! When I compared my coat to others they had for $1000 or more it really made me wonder, why was my coat priced so low? Hmmm! Very bad experience consigning my expensive designer dress which was brand new and worth $650. After repeatedly calling and asking them to take my dress off the shelf since it was not sold after a month, they did not do it. The staff is very arrogant and act like they are working in a Chanel store or something. Just like the other customer review I experienced the same thing. When I went to pick my dress they told me they have no clue what is going on as no one has made notes on my account. In the end they lied that the dress was sold after expiration and only gave me $25 bucks. Who asked them to sell my dress?? BEWARE .....this place is a cheap used wear shop. I can honestly say this is the best secand-hand designer store I have ever been to over the 16 years I've spent abroad in Europe and Asia. I love to check out every vintage store I can find around the world but this definitely always tops them. I've shopped here since I was in high school and now make it a point to check this place out every time I am back in California the few times a year. I've been both a seller and I have rarely left this shop without buying at least one thing which is due to their large and quick changing selection. I have been in here quite a few times over the past few years and have nothing but high praise for the staff. Frankly, I find it wholly absurd that anyone would have anything negative to say regarding the exemplary customer service of the employees here and frankly, I feel that anyone who says otherwise should take a good look in the mirror and reevaluate his or her own lives before jumping down the throats of people who work very hard to make about 1/4 of what you make in a year. I have never once had anything but stellar customer service and the selection of high end clothing and apparel at amazing discounted prices (many with the original price tags still attached) is never a letdown. This is a small business that is family owned so you know that your money is going into the local economy and helping small businesses rather than shopping at Nordstrom's or Talbots. Because it is consignment, the variety is huge and selection is never the same twice. Sadly, people are far more likely to make a knee-jerk negative yelp review over what was probably his or her own personal issues, not the issues of the staff of an establishment, rather than taking the time to give credit where credit is due. read more

I love this store. I have been a consignor and a customer here for a few years. Lynn, the owner, is very down to earth and always willing to help. Chelsea and Maya are my favorite employees and they always provide excellent service. I have not had any issues with consignment as stated by another reviewer. I promptly receive my check when I request one and have not had any issues with items being returned to me. They do have a couple of young female employees I would personally not employ, but other than my experience with them in particular, I have had no issues at Labels.
