I had the apricot salad and it was good. Husband had the turkey avocado sandwich which he really enjoyed. Daughter had the impossible burger which she also enjoyed. The fries were good too. This restaurant is located in the Grand Imperial Hotel. The current business, Lacey Rose, is a new establishment. Though, and this is an interesting note, the proprietor has played piano there for 20+ years! The grandure of the location dictates more of a fine dining atmosphere and the menu does not disappoint. We loved the build your own charcuterie board. The filet was exceptional as was the roasted brussel sprouts with roasted garlic. We also enjoyed the apricot salad - everything was fresh and paired nicely with their red wine offering. We went back for breakfast and enjoyed their crepes with mimosas. Two days later we had lunch there and the french dip, 1/2 lb burger and mac and cheese were all perfectly delightful. We found their pricing, though higher than home, was comparable to the other restaurants in town. But, we felt the quality and service exceeded most of the other establishments we frequented. A very good experience. We visit Silverton occasionally on day trips. First time for whatever reason at the Lacy Rose. Lunch. A key to dining in Silverton is to avoid the mid-day train arrival crowds at eleven thirty or so. This event stress all the restaurants. If you arrive by train head IMMEDIATLEY to your restaurant destination to beat the crowd and the Lacy Rose should well be your destination. Solid menu and preparation, informed and pleasant staff throughout and great atmosphere. A table in the front room facing the mountains was a plus. The saloon was beautiful and the ragtime performer on the antique piano was worth the visit. The food (late lunch) wasn't that great but the ambience made up for it. I had a Turkey avocado sandwich which was no better than what I could throw together at home. The fries were cold, even though I specifically asked for well done fries. I think they precook items so they can serve train guests quickly. My beer wasn't very cold but then again it was 92F that day. Would likely try another restaurant in town if I come back to see if there are better food options. read more

After checking out several other highly rated lunch spots in Silverton we happened upon the Lacey Rose Saloon. What a delightful place! Bright, sunny, immaculate restaurant that feels like the age old saloon it is. Lacey and her husband are the proprietors and Lacey plays ragtime and old west piano when she's not greeting new patrons. The food was excellent. I especially enjoyed the Mixed Greens with Apricot, Feta and Raspberry Vinaigrette. read more

Excellent. Stopped here for lunch after taking tourist train to silverton. There is limited time allowed for lunch before returning to Durango. The Lacey team are great at moving fast, getting the orders in, getting food out and getting checks to diners who are rushing back to train. Food was excellent. Old casino nostalgia in this mining town. Old tables and friendly service. Great food and drinks. we had dinner that was incredible and worth driving out of your way to have. They have a real chef that understands food and flavors and who puts their art and heart into this food to make it an exceptional experience. Ordered a 1/2# burger with fries. Burger would be lucky to be 1/4# if that. Ordered it medium but came well done. No red at all. Friend ordered the same (medium) and had to drink with each bite in order to eat it as it was so well done and dry. We were too hungry to send it back. read more

Worth five stars for the Mac and cheese alone -- possibly the best we've ever had. I made a meal out of mine and was very pleased. My husband had it as a side with the filet and he was also very happy with his meal. Bartender was friendly and helpful, if a little inexperienced with making drinks (she had to ask us how to make a dirty martini...) but overall the service was great. I went here for breakfast and the place was fairly empty. Ordered "The Classic" w/ 2 eggs over medium and asked if the bacon could be made crispy, waitress assured me it would be. Food took WELL over 30 min to arrive (my friend claims it was over an hour, I didn't time it exactly). Potatoes were undercooked, the toast was not even browned, bacon was not crispy, eggs were cooked ok, and all of the food was cold. No butter was offered for the toast, we had to request it, and when the butter arrived, it was cold and hard. Since the toast was cold, the butter did not melt nor soften and was unspreadable. The waitress was friendly and kind, I liked her, but she didn't come by often enough to see if we needed anything and she should have checked on the food earlier than she did.
